And the word of the day is: PARALLAX!
I hope TCB is doing well. He hasn't posted since early Sunday morning. :-\

Indeed!
DR Elmore, that's horrible about the spyware. And on a Mac???
What exactly is it doing?
Opening night vibes for BK and company.
Thank you DR ELMORE and other Dear Readers. Today is my third session....I have escaped side effects so far....we shall see.....
Yesterday, I spent over 90 minutes on the phone with Apple Care trying unsuccessfully to remove some spyware from my Mac. I can remove t via Malware, but when I restart my computer, it returns, and the Apple Support folk cannot find where this devil has taken rooty in my system to keep generating. I am not happy.
ASK BK
Are there are more "holy grails" of soundtracks and cast recordings that have never been released or you would like to remix (a la Follies) that you would like to release on Kritzerland?
A holy grail for me would be Elmer Bernstein only Academy Award winning score for "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and with a complete song soundtrack: Looking at the World thru Rose Colored Glasses, Ah! Sweet Mystery of Life, and some other traditional trackswhich are very brief but would be nice to have. Also the title track is different in the movie than it is on the released version.
The only Bernstein music I could ever find was on a compliation was the scene with the biplanes on the way to Muzzy's mansion.

Here I am in DIAL M FOR MURDER in 1981....performed on a thrust stage to an audience sitting on bleachers outside!!!! Max and Margot seem particularly pleased to be in the show. My hair has a mind of its own..... :D

I wonder what Tony is saying at that particular moment, DR Jrand66.

And where IS TCB. Someone please check up on him.

My guess is he's asking her why she won't finish the clippings.
This book looks fascinating. (http://www.haaretz.com/world-news/europe/.premium-1.798168)

Larry, given that the elevator isn't working, is someone collecting trash or would that be too much to ask for?
Can the elevator be repaired?

The building management is accepting bids for a new elevator system, although I have no idea when the installation will begin.

Back from a cup of chicken soup and a bagel - thankfully it wasn't too cold in there as it's not quite as hot today outside. I'm obviously in the phlegm breakup phase - huge amounts of guck coming out of my nose and throat - so I suppose that's a good thing.

My car is in the shop today. And tomorrow. It turns out it did have a leak and needs a new fuel pump. I'd taken it yesterday to the independent mechanic I've been going to for several years now and we were planning for them to do the work. I then thought I'd better check the warranty. I doubted it'd still be covered, but I checked anyway. The warranty expired last March, but Audi has some sort of voluntary "recall" on the water pump and are taking care of it. I'd rather have the independent do the work, but it's an $800-900 job, so I'm letting Audi do it. I haven't had a lot of experience with Audi service, but I've come to loathe dealerships based on past experiences on other cars.
Bruce, Boiron's Chestal cough syrup with HONEY is highly recommended by me. There are many products with similar names, as DR Jane found out. Be sure to buy the adult one and the one with HONEY.

My mother has reminded that when I was 3 or 4 or 5 years old, she and my Dad told me they were going to watch "Dial M for Murder," I asked "Who's Dolly Emphamurder?"

A very good thing. It can be pretty gross...but good. :D
I went to Target and purchased 2 folding lawn chairs as we planned to go to a outdoor concert!! During our delicious steak dinner we decided to stay home and thus QVC!!!
Just had a fine laugh - I get these e-mails from NYMF touting whatever the newest new musical is. This e-mail told me all about The Time Machine, a brand NEW musical. Never mind that I both met its songwriter and received the demos for this NEW musical back in 1998 (he moved here in 2000 and I attended his dueling piano bars at Universal's City Walk) - so at what point is there truth in advertising? At what point do you just admit, hey I have this twenty year-old musical and we're doing it? It happened the year we were at NYMF - one of the highly touted shows had had its first production in the late 1970s!
I caught one of the Doctor Blake mysteries last night, Craig Hall, who plays the kindly doctor in A Place To Call Home, has joined the series as the very unpleasant new police chief.

The dealership should have had plenty of experience doing the recall work. I hope it is done to your satisfaction and there aren't any hidden costs.

Even if I had purchased the correct one it is still an expectorant:
"Temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with a cold.
Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to make coughs more productive."
When it didn't work I knew, from years of experience, only codeine was going to stop my serious cough. Bryan, the ER doctor said he never prescribes codeine. I can understand that, not knowing the patients or if they are just trying to get their fix. When he mentioned this I did laugh at the large bottle my prescription was for. I also found taking half the dose, and only at night, was the best way to use it. I used the Boiron's during the day.
The pharmacist suggested I use it during the day for the expectorant. The codeine has the same expectorant in it so I couldn't combine them.
No news yet from TCB?
San Antonio is number two....who would have guessed?Merde!
And Wae-Ling seems to have had a reproductive day, too, based on your quote, Laura.
Yes, it was quite a discussion.
Good evening!
Good evening!
Well, I'm off to my sister's. We have some more light fixture swapping to do, then I can go home.
Be back later.
