I am green with Jealousie reading about MR BK and DR GEORGE and their theatre activities.....this is the time of year when I am usually covered up with theatre duties and business....and this year: NADA.
Perhaps by August I can be back in the swim....
DR Ginny, I may be coming back to Ohio for Labor Day. Wanna have another party?
Friday morning greetings!DR Ginny, I may be coming back to Ohio for Labor Day. Wanna have another party?
Sure! But I think I'd simplify it a lot, food and beverage-wise...
Opening night vibes for BK and Co., and I hope that actor gets back with the program STAT.
DR Jeanne, I like the Dr Blake mysteries, although I do not watch it regularly, as I do with other series. I also like "Death in Paradise" but it's the complete polar opposite of Dr Bake and nearly all fluff.
Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson are doing King Lear for BBC. Sounds good.
DR ChasSmith, do you feel like driving to Ohio before Labor Day? I was thinking about going from August 30 to Sept. 12 or so. If I can convince DR Ginny to throw another orgy, we might have it the Saturday before Labor Day or the Saturday after. Of course, if the elevator remains out, I may just head to Ohio until the damned thing is repaired.

Damn. I'm sorry to say I'll be tied up in rehearsals for I Do! I Do! during that time. Maybe not 100%, there MIGHT be a chance for a quick escape, but I suspect the odds are not in my favor. I need to look at that.

Perhaps you could be green with Jalousie instead, DR Jrand66.

We stopped watching "Death in Paradise" as we did not care for the new guy. My brother said we should watch again as that guy left the series.
Thank you for the continued vibes DR ELMORE.....5 sessions down - 23 to go.
Opening night vibes for MR BK & Co.
T.O.D.
There are so very few new films out there that are of interest.

Back from the car dealership, where they're reexamining my engine because of some extra noises it shouldn't be making just a few weeks after they had it apart to install the new timing belt.

The rumor (or rumour ;) ) is that the guy who left "Death in Paradise" is going to be the new Doctor in "Doctor Who" when Peter Capaldi leaves.

Which season? I watched season 5 recently and it was still Guy #2.
DR Jeanne did you see my question regarding Dr Blake?
How's the trip going, John G?
I'm happy to announce that my nephew's wife gave birth to a baby girl very early in the morning. Her name is Genevieve Elizabeth. Coincidentally, this would have been my mother's 94th birthday, so Genevieve shares her birthday with her great-grandmother!

Yes, I answered last night. Here's the post:
Jane, I wouldn't call the DR BLAKE series great, but I find Dr Blake likeable enough. For me, the series provides an interesting glimpse into 1950s life in urban Australia. The stories could be stronger, though. I'd suggest you watch the next episode, then decide.
DR BLAKE is one of those shows that makes me wonder what it is that makes me feel a show is great, rather than just good. The series is quite good in many ways, IMO, but somehow the writing doesn't draw me in as some shows do.

Good evening.
Good evening.
I just finished watching the recent version of Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
The original animated version is so much better.
DR TCB, I have missed something. what is this play you were asked to do?
"Misery," based on Stephen King's novel, and the movie with James Caan and Kathy Bates (who won an Oscar for her performance).
And on that note (E for Elizabeth!), I'm outta here 'cause it's rehearsin' time.
Be back later!
George, what is the theatre company doing HAIRSPRAY?
Either that, or he is busy covering up the murder of one particular actor.
I imagine BK wifi be late tonight.

Wifi?? That's a pretty strange auto-correction. :))

Isn't that strange. It couldn't be my fault!
George, you are doing two performances on July 15, with virtually no break between them?
Damn! This giant flying bug, about the size of Bela Lugosi, just landed on my arm.
George, you are doing two performances on July 15, with virtually no break between them?
I hadn't thought about that, but yup, we'll probably only have a couple of hours break.

A 3:30 matinee and a 7:00 evening performance doesn't even allow for a couple of hours.
And their next two shows have 3 pm and 6 pm same-day shows!
