Have a good day, one and all!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Continued Mega Health Vibes to our DR JRand66! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last night I decided, kind of on the spur of the moment, to throw together a batch of Cincinnati Chili.Plus, it's always better the next day.
Well, "throw together" is an apt description for the result. It's the simplest thing, of course, but as with anything it's well worth doing at a proper pace and getting everything right and in balance. It's a good thing this was just for me alone to binge on, not a shared meal or God forbid someone else's introduction to the dish.
Regardless of the care not taken, it hit the basic satisfaction mark required of it. I can say that much. Next time will be better!
This was Gold Star, and I have one more can of that to use up, then back to the Skyline which I've already determined is superior. I like it a little better at the restaurants (though both are thoroughly satisfying there), but I find Skyline does their canned version way better. For my taste, anyway.
Thanks. I haven't tried Gold Star. I'll stick with Skyline
Glad there are more fans of Three Days of the Condor. It's also a favorite of mine.
Lost an acquaintance to lung cancer yesterday. She was one of those people who meant well but could be occasionally irritating without realizing it. (Like me, I'm sure.) She could also be charming and funny and driven. After getting a divorce, Alex decided to go to culinary school and did quite well, but the first diagnosis was just as she was finishing up.
She leaves behind two children in their teens. I just feel really sorry for her family.
Thanks DR ELMORE, DR FJL, and DR GINNY and all Dear Readers. I had an examination today.....everything looks fine. I start tomorrow on my last 3 radiation treatment....called coning which I guess is more concentrated.....
There was that roller skating show in our NYMF year that went on its own contract, wasn't there?
Here's the NYMF photo taken yesterday.. i'm far left with Josh, the reed player. I think the band and I should have been included in the photo, but we weren't asked.
Thank you for the condolences. Alex gave it a very brace fight.
Jeanne, I imagine the laws do give the landlord the right to enter the property with legal notice.
I would hand them your list of necessary repairs when they walk in.
I got lost at having to put the fan together. Every fan I have bought lately has already been put together. Maybe just snapping the base in place.
So I ask you....did YOU know it?
Nothing major. Just checking the thyroid levels....(since I do not possess a thyroid having carelessly discarded it 29 years hence ).
I have to get up early and have my blood tested ... I hope it has been studying
He drove over, picked up the knob I had been unsuccessfully trying to tighten the fan blade onto the center screw and in 10 seconds screwed it on and said I don't see the problem it works fine
So I ask you....did YOU know it?
Am I the only one that sees FJL's avatar in place of Jane's on all her posts?
So I ask you....did YOU know it?
I didn't know that!
No. But I certainly enjoyed the tale.
Of course I haven't spoken of the sandwich thing. Well, the sandwich thing arrived at ten-thirty and I went and picked it up. I brought it home, unpacked it - can't say the ice packs in the chest were as cold as they should be, but I refrigerated it immediately after looking at it - it did look and smell rather good. As fate would have it, Kay wasn't feeling well and wanted chicken soup so for me it was another chicken Caesar salad. But the helper came by after the Kay lunch meeting was done, and she tried one of the quarters and loved it and took one for her hubby. Then Alby tried a quarter and he, too, loved it. So, when I sat down to watch the Hitchcock Hour episodes I had two quarters for my evening snack and they really were quite good. I still have three quarters left, which I'll eat tomorrow for lunch.
