When I was 21 or so, I wrote a score for a production of Twelfth Night that never happened. In 1975, thinking it might be a possible Ohio production, I revised the score. I hadn't thought about it in years. I didn't even know where the score had got to.
About a month ago, my friend Carmon deLeone, who conducts the Cincinnati Ballet, found my full score in the offices of the Middletown Symphony. He told me that on Labor Day weekend he was conducting an outdoor concert and that he wanted to program works by local musicians. So, he's programming the Twelfth Night Overture. He sent me a copy of the full score, and Joshie put the thing into Finale. I am doing some revisions and adding more brass, but I am extremely grateful to my adopted sn for taking the tiem to help me out.
Thursday morning greetings...
Dear DRs, my mother passed away at 12:43 this morning after about 15 hours in the care of Hospice. At 98 and 2/3 she was beyond ready.
DR Elmore, the news about the Twelfth Night music is fantastic and we will be there!

DR Ginny, I am so sorry to hear the news, but I also know that it was time. I send my love and condolences to you and your family.
DR Ginny, at the same time I am sorry and relieved at your loss. I know about loosing a parent twice. My heart goes out to you.
Ginny, prayers and vibes of comfort and strength.
What they all said, DR Ginny.
It was time, but even knowing that, I don't think anyone is ever quite ready to absorb the reality of it. Take good care of yourself!

Thank you, DR Jane. We are in the same week in August in which our fathers died 6 days apart in 1984. If several people I know and love didn't have birthdays this month, including my sister, I'd really dislike August.

Thank you, DR ChasSmith. In the self-care department, my family insists that tomorrow I attend the papercrafting classes in Sharonville for which I'm registered. My friend Rebecca has been there yesterday and today and has communicated with all my instructors from those days and picked up my kits and handouts. She's a real peach and I've assured that her first StampawayUSA is not a typical experience.
Much love and condolences to Ginny on the loss of your mom.

Back from Gelson's and I just made two burgers on low-cal buns, one of which has the brand spanking new McDonald's Big Mac sauce that dear reader George found - it's pretty good.
Don't you have a spare tire?
Don't you have a spare tire?
Road service changed the tire and then we drove to the dealership. We will have to leave our car, rent another car, and pick our car up on the way home.
I'm happy you are okay, DR Jane, and that neither one of you was injured.
During one of the rehearsals for Hairspray, one of the older kids needed to change their tire, but they didn't have a jack. I have one in my car, but I couldn't get it out because it was all rusted in place. :o I have no idea what condition my spare tire is in. I should probably have that looked at, too...someday.

Glad that you were able to get it changed. It's too bad that you now have to rent a car. How long will you need it?
When I change my quote, that last post will make no sense.

Oh and if anyone loves the McDonald "special" Big Mac sauce. I tried this and it is quite tasty.
1/2 cup mayo
2 tbsp french dressing
2 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon finely minced white onion
1 tsp white vinegar
1 tsp sugar
1/8 tsp salt.
Mix well.
Are you going to try it and compare them?
And that famous special sauce? While Delligatti [the Big Macs creator] maintains total secrecy about its contents, its one of the more widely sought-after and readily-available clone recipes out there. There are slight variations depending on the source, but this one purportedly comes from a 1969 McDonalds Managers Handbook. It was to be prepared only in an emergency, when the kitchen ran out of the pre-made stuff:
McDonalds Big Mac Sauce (makes 1 cup)
1/4 cup Miracle Whip
1/4 cup mayonnaise
3 Tbsp French dressing
1/2 Tbsp sweet pickle relish
1-1/2 Tbsp dill pickle relish
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp dried minced onion
1 tsp white vinegar
1 tsp ketchup
1/8 tsp salt
Mix all ingredients, blend well. Microwave for 25 seconds and stir. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
Condolences to Ginny. But what a long life she lived!

Ginny, I'm so sorry. My condolences to you and your family. :(
I'm sorry about your mother, DR Ginny. What a long life she had!
We had to pull of the freeway as a tire blew. We went over a rock or piece of metal and the tire is shredded. We are waiting, in the heat, for road service. If only we could have driven a few more miles to the tire shop in Ashland.
Thoughts of comfort to DR GINNY.
Another vote for you to go as planned.
Yes, Ginny. Go on your trip. Take some time for yourself. There's plenty of time to deal with the reality of things.
My sincere condolences, DR Ginny.
DR Ginny, I am so very sorry to learn about your loss. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Hugs and prayers.
DR Ginny, I'm so sorry to hear your news, but I know that it's a blessing, too. It's a lovely photo of her in the article.

I came across this article from 2010, History of the Big Mac (http://www.cheese-burger.net/stories/history-of-the-big-mac.html), which says about halfway down:QuoteAnd that famous special sauce? Yikes, DR Jane, I'm glad you're OK!

We've dealt with quite a bit of the reality today:
Berenice Ruth (Tucker) Ellis (http://www.herr-riggs.com/obituaries/Berenice-Ruth-Ellis/#!/Obituary)
We also spent a couple of hours in Mom's room. I cleared out most everything I wanted and my sister and her husband will continue tomorrow. My sister is one of the most insistent that I go to my classes tomorrow.
I thought George and TCB might be here by now but I must bid you all a good night
How was dinner?
