Well, you've read the notes, the notes inserted a smiley face here, and now it is time for you to post until the smiley face cows come home.

Good morning, all!
-
DRs RCB and ChasSmith, thanksd for the vbes for my friend Howard last night.
-
I slept quite poorly. It was too warm and I could not get comfortable.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I slept pretty solidly, probably thanks in no small part to the, um, medication. 8) It was a stressful day. Today looks to be better.

I loved the "Lost In Boston" series and I'm still honored to be a part of them. I feel that when I got it right, I deserved a gold star, and when I got it wrong, I let everyone down. Om a show, there's often time to rewrite, revise, redo if necessary, but the recording deadlines are much tighter. If you can't fix it in the room or in the mix, the number can haunt you forever with its couldas, shouldas, and whatifs. Having posted that, I'm not going to say which numbers are the ones I would kill to redo. I'd rather praise my favorite numbers from the Lost In Boston recordings 3-4 by other orchestrators:
Mama's Talkin' Soft
You Don't Have To Kiss Me Good Night
Older and Wiser
Pick Up the Pieces
30 Weeks of Heaven
Pretty Is
Give Me A Raincheck
Have A Memory on Me
If I Can't Take It With Me
-
I would like to add one more comment about both the Lost In Boston and Unsung Musicals series.
The assignment of song to singer was BK's, the major reason these albums were so fantastic.
-
So, here's our misinformed singer.

Had a weird dream that I was at a street festival with my late friend Glenn and his wife, Mickey. I was sitting in a car and talking with Glenn about Dad's encroaching dementia. I think I was also sitting because of my back. I wanted to leave but Glenn wanted to use up his food and drink tickets first. Mickey talked me into staying and I woke as I saw Glenn had bought about 2,000 tickets.

I'm eating a pineapple sage pound cake which is oddly delightful.
(A cup of hot black coffee is an essential pairing.)

I've been having problems getting emails from American Airlines about flight confirmation. This morning I finally received an email from them dated four days ago. WTF?

This gave me a good laugh this morning.

I hate when that happens. Fortunately it doesn't happen very often.
-
Good morning.
-
Bruce, I received an email from the mother of the groom at the wedding we went to. I doubt you will remember my best friend Susan from high school but she recognized your name. This is the condensed version of her email.
"When we saw you at the wedding, I had intentions of showing you this program from a small play we saw. The play was called Dial M for Murder. What caught my eye was that it was directed by Bruce Kimmel. I overheard someone involved with the play say that he is the best director. The play was good and held our attention."
-
Thanks for your smiley-face, Jane!
-
:)
-
The speaker I'm listening to now keeps using the word "data." it just makes me think of the Jimmy Durante song in The New Yorkers. Elmore, did you work on that one? It's a hoot.

A little bit, with Joshie. Much of it's original.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
That's funny about Jane's friend seeing Dial 'M'.
-
Re the misinformed singer - he wrote me a nice note.
-
That's funny about Jane's friend seeing Dial 'M'.
If she had remembered at the wedding I would have seen the program. I think she was a bit distracted-lol
You invited me to my first cast party and Susan went with me.
-
10th grade seems so long ago yet it had such an incredible impact on the rest of my live.

That was incredible.
As was "Wood". Just...amazing. :)

Very jaunty.
-
And Kevin Chamberlain, not a Durante type by far, was adorable. Just brilliant.
-
Where is everyone today?
-
A weird posting day. When the East coasters are the first after BK, the day's just a strange one, posting-wise.
-
3:30 EST, and not even at page 3!
-
John G, I'd write you in a direct email, but we need some posts desperately.
-
Further to John G: Are you sure about what you said in your email? We really wanted to thank you for your help.
-
And Amazon is not cooperating with me today, on top of everything.
-
Are we at page 3 yet?
-
Yikes, still a ways off.
-
Who else can I write a personal email to, but on the board?
-
To the parody stalkers, maybe?
-
Maybe I should complete the smiley-face parody lyric?
-
And post it line by line?
-
Will that be necessary to get to page 3?
-
Ah, page 3!
-
Fred, your thanks is aces in my book.
-
Did I mix some sort of metaphor there?
-
Thomas Meehan has died. He leaves us with Annie, The Producers, Hairspray and more.

Most importantly, we got to page 3 before 4:00 EST.

I guess dying at 88 is considered by many a life fully lived for the most part, but I'm not so sure given my father is well over 90 and seems to be enjoying life a great deal.

Tuesday afternoon greetings!
Where is everyone today?
I had a nice puttery morning and while showering experienced today's edition of the nosebleeds that have been plaguing me regularly since July 15. I called the doctor's office and got a 2:15 appointment, then ran errands with Richard. The doctor isn't overly concerned (easy for him) and put me on some allergy meds and told me to use Vaseline in my nose :P
-
Living until eighty-eight is absolutely a life fully lived - some live to over 100 but c'mon, anything over eighty is to be celebrated.
-
Had a chili, cheese, and onion hot dog and fries, picked up some packages and am now uploading stuff into iTunes and listening, whilst doing work on the computer.
-
Thanks so much, George!

Got a nice package from FJL today.
Good work from the post office. We mailed it Saturday. Things seem to take longer to get to my folks in Florida than to California.
-
Thanks, DR FJL. I'm really more annoyed than sick...

Vibes for DR GINNY!

Sneezing a lot today. I think the rains have stirred up mold.

That's a daily feeling for me, Ginny. Glad you could join the fun.

Your father is very fortunate.

DR Ginny, feel better. I don't have time for nosebleeds next week!

Off to see 13 Minutes, a German movie about an attempt to kill Hitler.

Except for the problem that his older son (my brother) is married to Lady Macbeth. :)

There seems to be an epidemic of those around these parts.

Nose bleeds are very annoying.
When we first moved to Washington from Colorado when I was 10 years old, I used to get nose bleeds a lot because of the change in altitude. I eventually acclimated and they stopped...fortunately.

:o I would have expected it the other way around.
-
Had a good work session and then met with Kay.
-
Well, I'm leaving work. TAO is having a special board meeting.
Be back later.
-
But before I go...Gratuitous Post #100!
:D
-
Well, 13 Minutes was very good, though it could have been better. Still, in these times, it's necessary to be reminded of the horrors of Hitler's.
I just found out the movie is on YouTube, if anyone is of a mind to watch it. There are scenes of torture and an execution that was too long for my taste.
-
Finishing up a reading of Giovanni's Room. Excellent novel, not great reading by Dan Butler, an actor I generally enjoy.
-
I had to take half a Benedryl because the allergies are so bad today. I paid no attention to the box. I just read Benedryl. These are gels, not pills. Hard to do it my halves.
-
Did anyone watch AGT?
-
Good night, all.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Went to Gelson's for some light snacks and also the food for the next two days.
-
Listening to Duke Ellington's Three Suites - amazing Ellington craziness on The Nutcracker, Grieg's Peer Gynt, etc.
-
I have been trying to find a decent place to stop on our way to Florida
-
Chas do you have any suggestions?
-
The Country Inn and Suites where we usually stop is under construction
-
A decent place to stop on the way to Florida is, of course, Los Angeles.
-
Did anyone watch AGT?
I recorded it, but need to watch last week's episode first.
-
Good evening!
-
All alone.
-
8 Guests on the site, but not one visiting here.
-
A beautiful day here today. 86 degrees.
-
Unfortunately, the weather is bad for the fire danger here in Washington.
-
One more post.

A co-worker left work early today because a fire was getting pretty close to her house! :o
-
I hope everything is ok.
-
DR TCB do you have any special plans for tomorrow?
-
Big brush fire next to the freeway, down George's way.

My sister is taking me out to lunch. That is about it.

Ahh...I didn't hear exactly where it was or where she lived.
-
Here's a report: Residents evacuate as fire near Grand Mound grows beyond 200 acres Tuesday (http://www.theolympian.com/news/local/article168728357.html)!
-
Scary pictures on the news.
-
I hope they get the fire out soon.

Have a nice lunch Tom.

George, I hope your co-worker' house is okay.
-
I think they said that four homes were lost.

I think they said that four homes were lost.
Oh, no!
-
I was in her area when her son called and she said something about spraying water on the roof.
-
That's when she said that the fire was close to her house (she didn't say how close) and she had to leave.
-
I hope BK is okay.
