Elmore, Kaye Ballard was in that movie.
Back to physical therapy today.
I've been to market, and I will shortly go to the bank. I need to assemble the things I'm taking to Ohio and tidy the apartment once I'm packed.

And Kelly Brown! He was a City Ballet dancer who was a featured dancer in the Leroy Anderson musical Goldilocks; there's footage of him with Pat Stanley in the "Lady-in-Waiting" ballet. His daughter Leslie played Shirley MacLaine's daughter in The Turning Point and Mrs Nijinsky in Nijinsky. She's Herb Ross' goddaughter.
I saw this around 1998 and really liked it.

The news in Texas is crazy. It is nice you are able to go to PT 😊
Speaking of Billy Wilder and Irma la Douce, today is the birthday of my friend Elizabeth Seal, the original London and Broadway Irma.

DR Ginny, sending good vibes to your outgoing treasurer Ann.
I am attending the first discussion of a new book group. I hope it goes well.

Looking forward to your report! What book are you discussing?
Back from a delightful afternoon date with my guys. Atomic Blonde is very violent and I slept through a portion in the middle. I still like Charlize Theiron, but I'd like to see her in a movie with some dialogue.

My friend Carol is having surgery tomorrow to have her gall bladder removed. This is probably 18 months overdue.
I also found out that my friend Bev has been diagnosed with cancer. It started in her ovaries and has spread to both spleen and lymphnodes.
Would appreciate some of those HHW vibes for both.

Listening to the music of Mr. Aaron Copland - what a composer he was. While the war horses are exactly that and not as much fun to listen to as they were once, it's stuff like the piano and clarinet concertos, the suite from The Tender Land, and other pieces that aren't as familiar that are so beautiful - and how influential was this man? Very.
:)

~~~DOUBLE DITTO!!~~~
I have a clogged bathroom sink. Roto-Rooter will give you a two-hour window, but the management here insists on using cheap plumbers. I was given a two-DAY window. I just learned at 3:45 that the plumber won't be here today. He will arrive tomorrow early morning, which I'd specifically said I didn't want. Oy. I truly hate renting.
Many of the evacuees from Katrina moved to Houston. I'd hate to think that many of them will be going through this a second time, but it is likely the case.
I thought Sylvester Stallone's performance in COPLAND was quite wonderful, even though they fictionalized many aspects of the great composer's life for the film.
He said ok and I ought tickets for the last performance of ALittke Night Music at the Signature theatre for the final performance
