Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Creamsicle-centric, and now it is time for you to post until the Creamsicle-centric cows come home.

I used to love Creamsicles.  At 100 calories, I think I need to buy a box.

Last night, I had dinner with friends that I hadn't seen in many years!  So many years that I misremembered the name of Cindy's daughter who was visiting.  I said that Melodie was visiting, but it was her older sister, Lisa. ::)

Spoo!

Mt bedding is down the street at the Ripoff Laundromat.  The first machine jammed the coins so I had to move to another washer. Then the larger washer, which held the comforter and bedspread, required 30 quarters, but the coins kept jamming and I would swear that I actually inserted 32-33 quarters.  I may call the better business bureau.

As soon as the washers down the street go into the dryers in around 45 minutes, I will begin the basement laundry of all the dirty clothes and twels from this week's apartment workover.

I guess when people are used to a day off for a Jewish holiday, they take one even if it's on the weekend rather than just leave early.

Chris Hendrie has completed his magnificent performance as Spencer Tracy for the audio production of my one-person play, TRACY

Once it goes through all the technical stuff at ACX (a 10-14 day process), the play will be available for download.

My one-person plays: GABLE, LOMBARD, FLYNN and RATHBONE are currently in production and should be available for holiday giving.

Re: Indiegogo....as BK knows, I'm not averse to investing.  However, I have not bought a vehicle in more than 24 years and now find I'm likely going to need to procure a pickup truck.  New is better than used, and pickups are seldom "used" if they are worth having.  So...am treading lightly financially until I know what I'll be getting.

Yes.
Rodgers & Hart

Trial By Jury

I thought he might play play Captain Macheath in The Beggar's Opera, but he was busy.  He did come to every performance of the opera.

That's so cool!  I remember seeing the TV version on HBO (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0234968/reference) with Meredith Baxter, Shelley Hack and Annette O'Toole.  I mostly (only) remember the line about combining the colors of "hot pink and LIME GREEN" (and not in a good way).  I forget the context, though. ::)

Topic of the Day:  I'm listening to the full cast audio production of Harlan Ellison's original version of Star Trek's The City on the Edge of Forever (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1504754565/).  It's really interesting to hear about the history of the piece, how it developed and changed, who made changes (with and without permission), the lies and truths told over the years about it all, and the affection that so many people have for the final broadcast version even as different as (and Harlan says NOT as good as) it is from his original version.  Some of the narrators are Harlan Ellison himself, D.C. Fontana, David Gerrold, Orson Scott Card, LeVar Burton, John Rubenstein, and Jean Smart, among many others. :)

Because we are very rural.  In order to accommodate our needs, there is always a need to transport more than a car trunk will hold.  And the norm is that more than one person is going to be with you on supply rooms...and room is precious.

Just gleefully blocked another ASS on Facebook.  I posted saying I needed an Asian actress for Levi as well as a white male.  Some idiot came after me for not SPECIFYING exactly what KIND of Asian, like I was a racist or something.  I told him the character was Chinese.  He then implied I should only cast a Chinese rather than any old Asian.  I told him he was barking up the wrong tree and five seconds from being blocked.  He then lectured me about Orientalism whatever the hell that is.  I told him I didn't need the lecturing and to go have his Facebook outrage elsewhere.  I then took a gander at his page - Mr. Causes (and not Asian, BTW) - every cause under the sun, like a billboard.  What a bore.  I responded, asking if it meant I couldn't  cast a non-Jew as a Jew or vice versa, if I couldn't cast a Black as a white if I felt like being diverse, if I couldn't cast a white American as a white Frenchman - which is what he was telling me basically, and then I told him I was the guy who put Asians, Blacks, Russians in Dogpatch USA just because I could.  I left it up long enough for him to see it and then I took all his comments off the board and blocked him for good.  This is the sorry world we live in now. You can't say anything, you can't do anything without some butt wipe piping up to tell you how awful you're being.  This word is out, this other word is in, catch phrases for everything now, that change daily.  Phooey is what I say.

DR RLP I believe that it is a good time of the year to purchase a pickup truck.....and you might look into different leasing arrangements which are sometimes more economical....and you are not stuck with a two or three year old vehicle to sell at the end of the time.....

Three CDs that arrived a couple of days ago:  the 1972 original London cast recording of I and Albert (http://castalbums.org/recordings/I-and-Albert-1972-Original-London-Cast/1562), score by Charles Strouse and Lee Adams; the 1981 original London cast (principal members) recording of Thomas and the King (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Thomas-and-the-King-1981-Original-London-Cast-Members/2032), with a score by John Williams (yes, the Star Wars composer) and James Harbert; and the 2013 concert recording of Six Wives (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Six-Wives-2013-Concert-Cast/37397), with a score by Edward Thomas and Joe Masteroff.  Jay Records was having a sale that if you bought any two of these CDs, you'd get the third for free!  I did, and I did! :D

But I already had I and Albert.

That is a possibility for some.  I had the MP3s of I and Albert from an old album rip with lots of skips, so I was happy to finally get the CD.

I don't know where the day went. I skipped acupuncture today and thought I could catch up a bit. I did a load of laundry and stopped at Trader Joe's, but where'd the rest of the day go?

I am also having a relaxing me day....

DR RLP I believe that it is a good time of the year to purchase a pickup truck.....and you might look into different leasing arrangements which are sometimes more economical....and you are not stuck with a two or three year old vehicle to sell at the end of the time.....

That is likely very good advice.  Because we are rural, I imagine I'll be traveling a lot more than I did in the Bay Area where I averaged 3,000 miles per year.  I drove my 1990 Ford Probe from when I bought it in July 1993 until I sold it to the State of California in September 2017,  It had 33,000 miles on it when I bought it.  When I sold it, there were 93,467 miles on it.  That is 60,000 miles in 24 years,

I am looking forward to a much less dramatic 2018!

Yes, that's understandable! Shall we wish you a boring 2018?

DR Ron why do you need a pickup truck vs a car or SUV?

Because we are very rural.  In order to accommodate our needs, there is always a need to transport more than a car trunk will hold.  And the norm is that more than one person is going to be with you on supply rooms...and room is precious.

How far away are your supply runs?

So you replace your car every 24 years, whether it needs it or not?

Are you a super fan of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D?  Do you LOVE all the Marvel movies?  Then, you'll probably really enjoy this.  I didn't love it, but I'll watch it to see how it develops.  But if it's just going to be a war between the inhuman factions with humans caught in the middle, I don't know how well that'll keep my interest. :-\
