I slept late, and it was very much needed. In my last dream I was in a reading of a new musical about teen angst like Evan Hansen that I had composed. The book writer was wither Megan Gogerty or Laura Harrington, and just before the reading she told me that Playwrights Horizons wanted to hear the score sung since they were thinking of replacing me with a "hip" writer.

Thanks for posting the photo, DR elmore!
Today, I must vacuum and clean out the litter box and wash it. Today is our one-week anniversary.

That's too bad DR CHAS SMITH - I think a trip to Half Price Books is in order for me....it has been a few YEARS since I went.
Travel and visiting vibes for DR VIXMOM & DR GINNY!
I guess it's a rule if you loan someone money - they are in no hurry to pay it back when they say the will....at least that is my experience right now....it's most depressing - not that I will NEED the money or go hungry....BUT ... well....it is MY money.....
I guess I need to close the First National Bank of JRAND67 for good.
Back from the library sale, where I spent all of...
let's see...
four dollars?
No wonder Jane is so thin.

How many books did that buy you?
Well if we're using cover songs....I'll add this one:

He's very handsome.
DR FJL as far as I know that is the only Beatles cover Annette ever did - it was on her Something Borrowed, Something Blue LP....her next to last Buena Vista recordings. Arranged and conducted by Tutti Camarata, it's really a pretty good album.....some old stuff....a new recording of "How Will I Know My Love" and some additional fine covers "Music, Music, Music" and "Personality" and "Mr Piano Man" and a new song by the Sherman Brothers written for her as a wedding present....the LP Title Tune.

Earlier today I fixed up a bed for Annabelle in the window and she's been napping there all afternoon.

Well, my mom (not my sister, as I posted last night) and my niece came over today and got most of my downstairs de-cluttered and cleaned. They just left and I still need to vacuum most of the carpet and all of the stairs. They're coming back tomorrow to continue, but we made a very good dent in the messiness of my bottom floor. Still two to go...although, my top loft bedroom isn't as bad as the rest of the house.
;)
Everything is selling - ridiculous - there are dealers everywhere precluding anyone from getting anything at a decent price - always the problem with these things - annoying. And boy is it moving slowly - they won't get to Nick's lot till two o'clock or later at this rate. An antique vase is currently at 13,000. Barf.
So, did everybody think we were going to get through one day without a cat picture?
Let me put your minds at ease.
I give you: Barrett. He belonged to Kristi's dad, who was in the hospital for some time before he passed away. Nathan brought him to live with us until, a couple of years later, he, too, gave up the ghost. He was a wonderful boy, and best buddy to Poe.

Ushering for the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra tonight.
That sounds like fun! Have a great time!
Well, I just realized that the new liquid laundry detergent container that I got at Costco is leaking from one of the seams! :o I need to retun it and get another one. This time I'll get a different brand.

Finally, Nick's item came up and I bid after not much action, he got it for half of what he was willing to pay, so that's good!

Good auction news.....but it was a LONG wait!
DR GEORGE that's why I switched to pods....just throw a couple in the washer....I don't have a fancy one with a reservoir....so I am lucky..... I use GAIN a lot....I had been using Purex Pods, but my local WalMart stopped selling them.... I have also found that BOUNCE is a much better dryer sheet than what I had been getting at the Dollar Tree...and they are not that much more.

It was a great concert and I got to see most of it. Had a smile on my face the entire time. Even better, the crowd had the best time and they were just as happy as I was.

Well, I'm a goon. It turns out that it wasn't leaking from the seam, but just down the seam from the lid that you keep open to let in air. However, I don't think I needed to open it until more of it has been used. So, the detergent level was too high for me to have opened that lid yet. You buy it like this:

(This isn't exactly what I bought, but it has almost the same kind of bottle.)
I've been listening to A People's History of the United States, which is 35 chapters. This is on the library's electronic system. During the chapter tonight, there was something I don't think I've never heard in an audiobook: There's suddenly a break and then you hear the people in the recording studio talking about doing another take and it wasn't edited out. Then the narrative returns. Weird.

I could use this detergent, if I could lift it.
Right now my shoulder, the damaged one, could use some serious vibes.

I have something like those for my dishwasher. I didn't think about that for my washer, or that the bottle would leak, but what I got was at a good price.

George, you didn't, by any chance, record last night's 20/20?

Shoulder vibes for DR Jane.

No I didn't. I wonder if it's available through On Demand. Do you have Comcast?
We sat in the 2nd row, 2nd only because seats were added to make a new first row, and I still could not hear much of the play. True I don't know what people are saying half the time to begin with but Keith couldn't hear either.

Isn't PRESCRIPTION: MURDER the original Columbo episode?
