Well, you've read the notes, the notes looped-de-loop, and now it is time for you to post until the loopy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ARCADIAN!
-
First post after BK!
-
Ask BK Day: Where is the Richard Sherman event being held. Is it a charity event?
-
I really wish that I could meet Richard Sherman.
-
I would really love to tell him how important MARY POPPINS was to this young theater geek.
-
Especially "Feed the Birds."
-
Damn I am awfully chatty at 12:25 a.m.
-
Well, of course, now my iPad is working great.
-
As I tried to post last night, tomorrow's lunch is going to be Italian. It was my week to pick.
-
Are we on page two yet?
-
Nicky came in and cuddled for about a half hour, or so. I think I had the heat in the bedroom turned up too high.
-
He left in search of cooler spaces.
-
Especially "Feed the Birds."
You're in good company. It was a favorite of Walt Disney's.
-
It really is one of the greats.
-
Good night, George
-
Neve just climbed up the stairs and onto my bed!
-
Good night, Tom.
-
I've been up since 3:30 am.
(I guess I need to take a stronger sleeping pill.)
-
I listened to the latest version of Act I of my Clark Gable play on audio.
It's quite good. Only had one minor note.
-
I have a 9:20 am appointment with the chiropractor.
Hope I can stay awake for it.
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR George, the photos of Neve are great!
-
Annabelle, for the eleventh day in a row, has jumped onto my table, stuck her face in my cup and decided that coffee is not something she wants. I don't know if she's sufering from memory loss or hopeless optimism that today will be different
-
I may see Joshie today if he comes by for more of the CDs going to City Center.
-
I will continue going through DVD drawers.
-
I have two more sections of the Moross score to work on as well.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I will continue going through DVD drawers.
You should have a sale.
-
Druxy, loved your Gable/Lombard story yesterday.
-
I would really love to tell him how important MARY POPPINS was to this young theater geek.
And another. My song was Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
-
Two!
-
Bright Star opens tonight in Los Angeles!
-
Wonderful cat photos!!!
-
I just finished reading this new book. I enjoyed much of it, but I caught two errors:
"Blow High Blow Low" is not sung by Billy Bigelow; it's Jigger's song.
My beloved Trude Rittman did not compose the dance music for "One Touch of Venus" (or for "Brigadoon"); she laid out the rhythms to deMille's dances for Kurt Weill to use in composing the music.
-
Already at page 2! It's probably gonna be a great posting day, i sense it.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Carousel book sounds good, errors notwithstanding.
-
Tomorrow be Thursday!
Let me know what time of day you'd like me to show up, DR Elmore. And whatever you say, I'll aim to arrive earlier in the hope of securing a parking spot right there on the block.
-
Lovely cool day today.....maybe a bit more rain....but that's okay!
SHERMAN EVENT vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
Good morning to all.

After 9:30?
-
Val stopped by to see Annabelle and she carried on like a bobby soxer meeting Frank Sinatra. She got so excited that she knocked my meds off the table and I had to crawl around the floor picking up pills.
-
Now that he's gone off to work, she's investigating my linen closet. Before he showed up, she made a thorough inventory of the refrigerator for me.
I need a drink.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! Our meeting with the elder law attorney yesterday was very helpful and I now have a plan for wrapping up Mom's finances. Now, if only people would answer their phones...
-
Richard and I managed to get back to Middletown yesterday in time for 2 programs at the local Miami University campus. One was part of the geology professor's national parks series - this one was on Death Valley - and the other was the annual meeting of the local arboretum, where the guest speakers talked about hummingbirds. Even for someone who's not particularly interested in science, it was very informative.
-
Ask BK Day:
Bruce, are you planning to post a video of you singing "I Want to Eat Your Face" from your last Kritzerland show either here or on Facebook? I have a friend who keeps saying she wants to come to one of your shows and I'd like to send it to her.
-
Joshie arrived with a hand truck and picked up his four cartons of CDs. as soon as I let him into the building, the damned elevator died. We now wait for the service men.
He had to carry all four cartons down the stairs, and I followed him with the hand truck. We got him into a taxi, and I am really happy to acquire some more space, On Friday, I will go sown to City Center and help him sort them.
-
DR ChasSmith, if the elevator is still down tomorrow morning, I will call you. There's no reason to make a trip in if it's going to be hell getting these cartons ro your car.

Also, Bruce - Do you have a video of the performance of Skip's Last Starfighter song?
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven hours of sleep maybe sort of.
-
Sherman event being held at OCSA, the Orange County School of the Arts.
-
Not sure about the videos from the Kritzerland show.
-
Damn! Damn! Damn! Another Staples order screw up. I hate their site for its paltry information when you need it.
-
Why am I getting a white blank page at Facebook - with Safari and with Chrome?
-
Yep, it's been down for hours apparently.
-
Of course those who left us to go live on Facebook COULD come here to post because we are not down.
-
Facebook is not down in Manhattan!
-
It was down EVERYWHERE. It's up NOW. People were acting like it was the end of the world.

Did the world end and I missed it?
-
Three!
-
I shall shortly be on my way to the Shermans and then on to OCSA.
-

I have mentioned the story of our cat that got shut inside the refrigerator. We hadn't noticed he jumped in there. Fortunately I figured out where he had gone to in time.

Did the world end and I missed it?
So did I.
-
Good afternoon.
-
Sometimes I think the world would be a better place if Facebook was down for good.
-
Now if Youtube went down, that would be a catastrophe.
-
I must have fallen asleep a little after 11:00 last night and I did not wake up at all until 7:00am :o :) :o
-
I stayed home this morning and did some much-needed housework.
-
Sometimes I think the world would be a better place if Facebook was down for good.
I have certainly appreciated it while keeping track of friends and family during fires, hurricanes, etc.
-
Now if Youtube went down, that would be a catastrophe.
;D
-
Annabelle and I had a nice nap together and I have no idea where she's gone to now.
-
I have been watching TV blissfully unaware that there was NO BookFace....I am glad I didn't know.....
-
The elevator crew just showed up, after I've had to climb the stairs four times today. I think my leg is ready to fall off.
-

Nice.
-
Which floor do you live on, Elmore?
-
Which floor do you live on, Elmore?
Third.
-
The problem with expected checks is that the damned things never arrive when expected.
-
Apparently there is a false report circulating that Morgan Freeman has died. Why do people do this?
-
Now if Youtube went down, that would be a catastrophe.
Amen! :)
-
It is becoming more difficult to use the computer and I don't feel like typing with only my left hand again. I fear the doctor will put me back in a sling when I see him tomorrow. I just hope it won't be worse than that.
-
Hello
-
Take one day off and all hell breaks loose
-
I have nothing to share unless you want to hear the tale of a real estate paralegal in a world gone mad heroically fighting the forces of evil (aka loan officers, realtors, uncooperative title search companies) In an endless quest to help people close their loans and achieve financial security
-
At least the heroine has kept her sense of humor.
-
Watching the first episode of the Durrells in Corfu. From the first scene, in which the mother tells off a witless school principal, I think I'll like this show.
-
The back has been acting up today. I don't like that.
-
I went to physical therapy today and did all of their exercises, but walking isn't improving.
-
Four!
-
No pain when I dance, but I can't go dancing through the aisles at work.
-
As much as I'd love to.
-
Back and leg vibes to you DR John.
-
I think it is wonderful you can dance without pain.
-
I think it is wonderful you can dance without pain.
Thank you. I wish it were more universal. I walked around the backyard of some friends' tonight and that was a bloody pain.
-
Off to soak.
-
Good night, all.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Back from our very long day. The event couldn't have gone better. The kids loved Richard and we had a lot of fun bantering back and forth. Susan Egan and Bret Shuford sang wonderfully, Richard Allen was at the piano, and my two songs went well. We had a few questions from the audience, too. Trying to get to the Sherman's house was a nightmare - with Coldwater backed all the way a mile south of Mulholland. It took thirty minutes just to get to Mulholland and then that was jammed on the jog over to Coldwater south and THAT was jammed. I thought I wasn't going to make it. Very upsetting. At a time of day when there should have been no traffic. But as soon as I got on Coldwater south I saw the sign that said "work ahead" so it was one of those hideous things where they hold one side's traffic and let the other side go, and then vice versa. As we finally got down to that "work" (looked like a cable company in the electric line above), I rolled down my window and let the guy holding the sign have an earful - how DARE them do this - they could have easily NOT done it by just moving a few feet more to the sidewalk. These morons have no idea of the trouble they cause and they don't care. From there it was easy and I actually arrived on time, but what a ridiculous drive.
-
The drive to Orange County was actually sans traffic. Once there we went to the green room and relaxed a bit, did a sound check, got Richard onstage and seated and then the audience came in.
-
We were all going to go to Factor's for dinner after (traffic wasn't too terrible coming back - surprising), but Richard was just too pooped to do it, so they went home after dropping us off. Greg (Richard's son), Richard Allen, and I then ate way too much food, but it was my only food of the day. Then we took a Lyft (first time for me) back to the Sherman house and I went on my merry way.
-
DR George, the photos of Neve are great!
Thanks, Larry! I (and others, I'm sure) think I've posted enough for now. ;)
-
Richard gave me two more signed copies of A Kiss Goodnight - the first six sold in a few hours. So, those will go up in the morning.
-
I'm home from the store, after finishing a book on my Kindle, after cleaning my extra bedroom with the help (coercion?) of my niece and my mom.
-
I took the day off from work today, but I'll have to go back tomorrow.
-
Now, to ketchup on all of today's posts.
-
Val stopped by to see Annabelle and she carried on like a bobby soxer meeting Frank Sinatra. She got so excited that she knocked my meds off the table and I had to crawl around the floor picking up pills.
I've done that all on my own without anyone else's help. ::)
-
Good evening!
-
I took another evening nap today.
-
I need to go back to napping in the afternoon.
-
Fortunately, I've spilled pills only twice. The first time, however, about 10 days' worth of pills dropped into my sink filled with water. Couldn't pick up any of them. :P
-
Hi, Tom.
-
I went to the old actor's lunch today.
-
Hi, George.
-
I am shocked that you took a day off of work.
-
Especially to clean house.
-
For lunch, I had lasagna.
-
It is becoming more difficult to use the computer and I don't feel like typing with only my left hand again. I fear the doctor will put me back in a sling when I see him tomorrow. I just hope it won't be worse than that.

There can never be enough photos of cats. Every year I buy two cat calendars, a large monthly one and a small one with a different picture each day.

I am sure Neve appreciated this.

-
It was in a serving dish, fresh from the oven, and covered with melted cheese.
-
Thank you DR George.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Every time I think we have our young boy they either decide it's too far a drive or some reason comes up - I'm really bored of this.
-
It was okay, but mine is better.
-
I am shocked that you took a day off of work.
Especially to clean house.
Well, when you say you'd love another cat but not until your house is clean, and then your sister's boyfriend isn't able to take care of his cat and it might have to be given to a shelter if you don't take it, then you'll more than likely let your family help clean (most of) your house so that you could take said cat.
;)
-
I took the day off from work today, but I'll have to go back tomorrow.
I am sure Neve appreciated this.
I hope so!
-
For lunch, I had lasagna.
My mom brought frozen macaroni and cheese for lunch for us. :)
-
When was the last time you took a vacation? Like a whole week off work?
-
I'm so full right now I feel like I'm going to explode.
-
DR George, the photos of Neve are great!

There can never be enough photos of cats. Every year I buy two cat calendars, a large monthly one and a small one with a different picture each day.
At the library, the mascots of our major book vendor, Baker & Taylor, is a pair of cats (named Baker & Taylor) and the company puts out a cat calendar every year. Several people really look forward to getting the calendar as soon as they send them!
-
When was the last time you took a vacation? Like a whole week off work?
I don't remember. It's definitely been several years. I do nickel and dime away my vacation time, so I don't have a lot. However...I have around 45 weeks of sick leave built up.
-
I took the day off from work today, but I'll have to go back tomorrow.
I am sure Neve appreciated this.
I hope so!
I know so.
-
Can you sell that back when you retire?
-
Can you sell that back when you retire?
No, but starting this year, in the month of January only, we can convert up to 120 hours of sick leave to vacation at a 3-1 ratio. I did it, so I converted 120 hours (3 weeks) of sick leave to 40 hours (1 week) of vacation. And if you're able to work it out, you can add that 40 hours of vacation in the year that you retire and get paid for it that way. It's something.
-
You are correct. It is something.
-
Today I watched SHERLOCK: A CASE OF EVIL with James D'Arcy as a young Sherlock Holmes.
-
Vincent D'Onofrio was Moriarty.
