Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a goal post, and now it is time for you to post until the posted cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EUPHONY!
-
First post after BK!
-
Listening to the film-related tracks - if this cleans up the way I suspect it will, it is going to be AMAZING. And if anyone can cleanse it's Chris Malone.

Nice!

BK, I know it's not Wednesday, but has the Claus Ogerman CD shipped yet?
-
Yes, Claus shipped last Thursday I think.
-
Several here have gotten it already.

And now, to bed.
Have a good day, all!

Good morning, all.

Dr Druxy, how's your wife doing?

TOD:
Bassoon
And more recently French horn because my nephew is studying and playing it so beautifully.
-
Yes Claus arrived at my house yesterday.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I have to get my energy up. I need to do a lot of laundry and change the bedding.
-
I didn't sleep badly last night, just not as well as I wished. Annabelle has this ability to twist herself into what appear to be painful yoga positions and yet sleep very happily. That's when she's not taking 99% of my bed.
-
Thank you DR JEANNE and all other Dear Readers. Chemo Session five of six is today....pump on for two days - off on Thursday.
-
Lovely notes....BIZZY BK.

I have asked for an application to adopt Archie. The kibosh may be the kitten's FIV status. I've inquired but I've received no answer.
-
Writer Laurie Jacobson and her husband Jon Provost live in Santa Rose. She posted yesterday on BOOK FACE that their house was still standing although it was full of ash and dirt.... They had gotten the okay to return home, but when they did, the National Guard was there and keeping people out to prevent looting. They hope to be able to return soon....and she writes they consider themselves lucky to still have a house....
-
I'm hoping there will be a check today, but who knows. I hope to do the laundry this morning, then spend the afternoon finishing the Moross score.

CHECK VIBES for DR ELMORE.
-
Happy 30th Anniversary to Party Animals DR VIXMOM & VIXDAD.
-
The Loesser score I will be working on is a new edition of How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. Now that the contract is in, I can mention the show.

Good morning, all.
-
Congrats to DR Elmore on How to Succeed!
-
I am celebrating right along with those vixes by going in for my dental cleaning and checkup today.
-
We woke up to 36 degrees this morning.
So let's nip this in the bud. Just stop that right now. Okay?
-
Congratulations, Elmore.
In light of the Weinstein mess, A Secretary Is Not a Toy is all too relevant right now.
-
I JUST LOST A POST WHEN ANNABELLE DECIDED TO WALK ACROSS MY KEYBOARD. AND SHE PUT ME ON CAPS!
-
I will celebrate the Family Vix anniversary tomorrow with a trip to my barber.
-
My colonoscopy results were good, but last night my dad, who died from colon cancer, visited me in a dream to tell me to stick with a limited red meat, fresh fruit and veggie diet.
-
Around midnight last night, Annabelle suddenly perked up and watched something. I wonder if she saw the apartment ghost?

I'm not a person who's sensitive to those things, but I'm assured by others that pets - cats in particular - will absolutely see them. We had one really weird incident about nine years ago when Kristi got a call early in the morning that her dad had passed away during the night. (It had been expected for some time.) We were all soon up, and they found Barrett, his cat whose picture I posted last week, totally freaked out, trembling and hiding. After much coddling he finally calmed down, but she believed Barrett had had a visitation from her dad, who had loved that cat, or had seen him walking through the place.
And that's my campfire tale for the morning, kids!
-
Happy 30th Anniversary to DR Vixmom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Here's something else. I was reluctant to do this at first, but do it I did. We'd been told by a good friend some years back about this woman who communicates with pets -- who, in so doing, had greatly helped her through a couple of situations. We decided to have a phone session with her about one of the cats in particular, and it was incredibly revealing. Whether she was really picking up stuff from the cat, or from us, the things she talked about were specific and detailed and helpful. Some years later this same friend (who's had lots of animals) came into contact with another woman (this one far out of state) who did likewise, but she was able to even more directly assist the animals through difficult times. Spooky stuff, man.

I have asked for an application to adopt Archie. The kibosh may be the kitten's FIV status. I've inquired but I've received no answer.
There was a time cats with FIV could only go to homes with other FIV cats or no other cats at all. Does having a cat with this status increase your vet bills & visitso?
DR Laura are you familiar with the current opinions on this?
-
Tuesday morning greetings! It is c-c-cold here in SW Ohio today - not that I'm complaining...
-
Happiest of anniversaries to DR Vixmom and Vixdad!

TOD:
Piano
Violins can be very nice too.
My least favorite is horns, although in the right music, they can be wonderful.

We'll celebrate the Vix's anniversary by taking Richard's computer to the Apple Store in Cincinnati to see why he's getting so many pop-up ads and the spinning beachball. Here we are celebrating our 24th anniversary there in 2005:

That's still the case. If Archie is FLV positive, I cannot adopt him. He will infect Annabelle.

My goodness. You can't say our DRs and their DHs don't know how to whoop it up on a special occasion! :D

LOL, DR ChasSmith!

DR Elmore, I've passed your advice along to Richard and he will ask the Genius about it this afternoon.

Oh, so they have not established he is FLV. I misunderstood. I hope he isn't.

Criterion's twice-yearly 24-hour flash sale is rumored to be starting up today around noon or 1 pm Eastern.

-
Thank you, DRs Jane and John G!
-
Re Criterion: I don't see evidence of it running yet, but I'm told the code to use on checkout is COOP. I'll check it when I'm back from the dentist.
-
The laundry is finished except for the sheets, which have another 30 minutes in the dryer/

Back from chemo and wearing my Pump....Yes, DR ELMORE, I agree, it is indeed naptime!
Great photo from DR GINNY.....yes we do know how to celebrate in these here parts.
I had a nice Marie Callender meat loaf lunch....with mashed potatoes and very good corn.....highly recommended by the likes of me.
-
That sounds delicious, DR Jrand67.
Now, if only you'd been able to have that at an actual Marie Callender's restaurant! I miss those!

Good luck, Larry!
(What's FIV status? Is that HIV but for felines?)
FIV is feline immunodeficiency virus (http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/Health_Information/brochure_fiv.cfm).
The other one is FELV, a feline leukemia virus, and both can be transmitted to healthy cats by an infected one.

-
Ahh. Thanks for the info, Larry. Neve was an indoor/outdoor cat with her previous owners, but she'll mostly be indoor with me. I have a little back yard from which she can't escape.
-
Thank you, ChasSmith. I just got my Criterion email. I ended up getting Rebecca, Sid & Nancy and Unfaithfully Yours.
I got Rebecca, Barry Lyndon, and Othello (Welles). Had my eye on a few others, but hey, we've got B&N coming up next month, too.
-
Four!
-
I believe we're all cast and I've gotten some of the music to the singers and am now awaiting the rest of the music so I can send that - but all the songs are now chosen.
-
Whew! Had two burgers - very good.
-
I would like a burger.
But I'm thinking about going to a movie, such as the new Blade Runner or Kingsman, and I'd almost certainly eat my standard chicken fingers and fries there.
-
I won't eat the feet, no sir. But I'll eat the fingers.
-
And yet, I'm almost too sleepy to go to a theater and sit through a movie tonight.
-
I must make up my mind. And quickly.
-
I am enjoying THE KINGSMAN movies....
-
But then I liked the Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes movies. Sometimes I am easily amused if not assimilated....
-
DR ELMORE is certainly running the gamut in news today.....Good and bad.
For some reason my chemo is making me type like DR VIXMOM....I am adding extra letters, leaving out others, and just plain substituting some words for others. With all the words in this post, it has taken me five minutes to do the corrections.
-
Gratuitous Post #100!
-
It's a post. ;)
-
But then I liked the Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes movies. Sometimes I am easily amused if not assimilated....
I also like them even though he doesn't really seem like Holmes.
-
I'm a bit pissed. I fear, by the cat's absence on Petfinder, that I've lost out on adopting Archie. If this is the case, I'm really bothered that the rescue service has been so lax in getting information to me.
-
Richard and I skipped lunch and, after his quick (and fruitful) visit to the Genius Bar, had a lovely early dinner at Montgomery Inn - small salad, ribs, Saratoga chips, and wine for me and a beer for him. All that, and we were home before 6pm.
-
I am sorry DR elmore.
-
Sorry DR ELMORE....keep looking.
-
DR JANE if I like a performer.....it goes a long way for me even in projects that are not so hot.....
And on the other hand, if a performer turns me off - I don't like anything they do....even those who are championed by many others:
Deb Messing
Kristin Chenowith
and a few others......
I must admit to warming to Dustin Hoffman after ALL of the posts from folks here who have worked/met him and found him to be a genuinely nice and talented person.....
-
Tonight on the Olympic Channel - if you get it in your area....the men's free skate in the World Championships from Yugoslavia....8 p.m. EST.
-
I am sorry DR elmore.
I hope I'm wrong, but we'll see.
-

That's too bad, Larry. But you can be secure in the knowledge that there will always be cats that need to be adopted. Don't give up!
-
And now, I must be off. Theater Artists Olympia is having our board meeting and I need to be there.
Until later.
-
Nope....from FINLAND.....FINLAND....not Yugoslavia.
-
Good evening!
-
Happy Anniversary to DR vixmom and vixdad!
-
Congrats on "How to Succeed...," DR elmore!
-
Nice photo, DR Ginny!
-
Hope that Archie's still available, DR elmore.
-
Nice photo, DR Ginny!
Thanks, DR KevinH!

One set of liner notes done so those have gone off. I did the show release first.
-
Santa Claus came to town!
-
Decided on BLADE RUNNER, which is good but feels almost excessively long. And I love long movies. But I was also very tired.
-
Tomorrow, it's back over to the cinema for me to see the encore presentation of THE MAGIC FLUTE, Julie Taymor production.
-
I'll try to listen to Santa tomorrow, but it might have to be Thursday.
-
Decided on BLADE RUNNER, which is good but feels almost excessively long. And I love long movies. But I was also very tired.
Still thinking I will save this one to watch at home.
-
Tonight we are going to watch "Spider-Man: Homecoming" which we missed when it was playing in the theater near us.
-
But then I liked the Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes movies. Sometimes I am easily amused if not assimilated....
He is in the movie we are watching tonight :)

I ushered the local arts awards tonight. Interesting show. Jesse Borrego, who used to be on Fame, was the host. Great music. One of the honorees was the poet Carmen Tafolla. A local actress read some of her work. Really good.

Well, look what I found that I have! :D

(Notice the spelling differences?)
;)

I don't remember when I got it, but it must've been within the last couple of years. It was on an easily accessible shelf, so it couldn't have been there for too long.
-
That is a pretty major spelling error.
-
That is a pretty major spelling error.
Fortunately, it was corrected on the new release.
-
He spelled it both ways, actually. I decided to use the more common spelling for the new release. His classical releases use the other spelling sometimes.
