Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of things to come, and now it is time for you to post until the cows to come come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PERLOCUTIONARY!
-
First post after BK!
-
Today after work, I'm having dinner with my friend Shelly (she's the property manager of the condo complex where I live), and either before or after dinner, we're going to do laundry at a local laundromat. We both have some large items to be washed and the bedspread that I have is much too big for my washing machine and dryer. I already tried to wash it at home and it didn't quite work. :-\
-
I've never been to a laundromat, so it'll be an adventure! ;D
-
Last night after work, I went to Target for some stuff...and I locked my keys in my car!! :o
-
I texted both my sister and niece but it took them a while to answer. Even though she was in her pajamas already, my niece said that she'd bring me my spare house key that she has (it's actually on my spare car remote, which is what I really needed), if I'd get gas for her car (she doesn't like to do that). I said that I'd even pay for it. So today before I go to dinner with Shelly, I'll get my niece's car and fill it up with gas.
-
Nothing special is happening at work, so that'll be my day today.
-
:)
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept quite well. Annabelle slept on the top of her tent bed, then moved to a wasg tub in the bathroom, then settled in with me.
-
The check dilemma continues. I've placed phone calls to both the home and cell phones and no one has yet returned them.
-
Yesterday, I cleaned out more of the back area to make room for the boxes of programs I had been storing on a table with wheels, and I now wanted to take out of the apartment. It was a good way to work off some anxiety and I like the extra space.
-
Good morning, all.
-
And a good morning to the HHW cat contingent.
-
This morning I'm very very glad I arose from my bed slowly enough to have a glance at the floor where I might have stepped first.
Can we say: World's Biggest Hairball?
I heard it happening early in the morning but you can never tell the exact location till you get up and look around.
-
This day feels odd because, while we have our final weekend of the show, it's Friday and there's no show tonight.
Our leading man had had a conflict which the director and theater were able and willing to work with, so instead of closing on the Saturday night, we added one more Sunday matinee. As a musician I rather like that, anyway. A couple of the regional theaters end their runs on a matinee, and it's more pleasant and less harried breaking everything down and getting it out of the theater during a late afternoon as opposed to late at night.
-
Last night after work, I went to Target for some stuff...and I locked my keys in my car!! :o
My car doesn't allow me to lock the door if the keys are still inside. I've done it a few times. It's a godsend. I've also forgot to turn off the motor all the way once and it wouldn't allow me to lock the door either. So safe guards all around.
-
Good morning to all.
-
I have a busy weekend with work and my new play but if I have time to relax I will watch
A Very Sordid Wedding a very funny and moving sequel to Sordid Lives and the prequel tv series
-
Good morning!
-
Chas - Sounds like that Friday off night worked out for the best, adding the show on Sunday! Something things work out well.
-
BK - From whom would any potential outrage about nationality-blind casting come? The students or the local community?
-
It's 901 instead of being hard at work I am enjoying a cup of coffee and waiting my turn at the shower
-
Today we travel
-
I am having my suspicions that I have been misinformed as to our destination but I shall be deaf , blind and dumb so as not to ruin the surprise
-
And that's all I am saying about that!
-
Well I must get packed. Sounds like the dryer is done
-
Vibes for all
-
Travel and fun vibes for vixmom and vixdad!
-
This suspicion sounds most intriguing, vixmom!

Yes indeed. As the fallback for the aborted Merrily We Roll Along, this was a handpicked cast. He was totally worth making the effort for, and it's great that everyone was able to deal with this right up front.
-
DR vixmom, have a great adventure!
-
I made the bed and then balanced my checkbook. If the two expected checks arrive over the weekend, I am fine. If neither shows - and I am very concerned over the one I've expected for nearly three weeks now - I am really in deep doodoo.
-
DR vixmom, have a great adventure!
Indeed!
-
Surgery vibes on the correct day for the sister of DR TCB.
Getting the damned checks vibes for DR ELMORE.
Casting vibes for MR BK. Crazy town!!!! Mr. David Cryer, who won a Theatre World Award for his role on Broadway in COME SEPTEMBER, and who spent years on Broadway in PHANTOM as one of the opera house owners (until they decided to "refresh" the show) was happy to come to DePauw and be in THE CRUCIBLE with a mixed cast of students and locals....and his wife Britt, who is a professional dancer and actress in NYC did the same....
I have worked with several AEA and/or professionals in different venues, and they have always been pleasant and hard working and did not expect to be treated any differently than anyone else... I am a member of the AE Candidate Program myself and have been for over 25 years....although I drop out of doing shows where I earn hours when I get close to the goal so that I can still do community theatre without a problem.....
-
David & Britt.....David's son is Jon Cryer.... Britt is a lovely woman who studied with both Martha Graham and Agnes DeMille. She used to assist DeMille in her classes, and Agnes would give her a check at the end of the day and say: "I can't remember your name, darling, you fill in that part...." LOL.
She and David met when they did COME SEPTEMBER. Britt said she loved working with leading man Ray Bolger, but that his wife was a less pleasant experience....LOL

Feeling good vibes for DR JANE today.
-
TOO MUCH ME ON THIS PAGE.
-
Not to mention she would have gotten to work with a multiple-time Academy Award winner and CREATE a role in a new show AND work with Grammy Nominated MR BK.....her big loss..... I am still astounded at her attitude......

This sounds suspicious. I suspect she got something she'd rather do, and someone (maybe her agent) told her to use the strange excuse she gave.

Feeling good vibes for DR JANE today.
Thank you and brain fog vibes to you.

Good morning, all.

I have had laptop issues all morning. I’m leaving soon for the zoo, for a team exercise.
-
I hope I can walk.

Because I keep getting defective lottery tickets..3 tickets not one single matching number. I swear if I bought tickets in every conceivable configuration they would make up new numbers

LOL. I once thought I was ready to go to my radiation treatment (in January) barefoot

Thank you all for the vibes!! Laters

Annabelle's also a short haired cat, so you're not going to have nearly the buildup.

I got the email telling me it's live, and that was now 4 hours ago. I hit the link to review again, just to see what would happen. It tells me I already submitted it and displays it on the private page.

Friday afternoon greetings! Our book group gathering in Dayton last night included a good discussion of 1984 and a fabulous gluten-free dessert made by our hostess Jan.
-
Thank you DR JANE.....LOL DR VIXMOM....I'm sure that will be next for me!
DR GINNY had been very busy these past few days.....enjoy it while we can! Winter is coming!

Yes, and we've had absolutely perfect weather for all of it! I have a "down" day today before tomorrow's quarterly memorial service at Mom's retirement community and Sunday's service in Dayton where they're having a guest preacher - Fr. Richard.
-
I think you may be right DR FJL.

For some odd reason, the Sound of Music reminds me of one of my favorite YouTube comments on the musical:

Just checking because so many people don't.

Brushing won't stop hair balls, just reduce the severity of them.

I know! I remember years ago doing shows with the late Abbey Players (they folded in 2003 or 2004), and strike after our final Saturday night performance of Gypsy went until at least 2 am...and it was raining the whole time! I HATE it when that happens!

That would be nice and congrats that your car has them, but my car is 19 years old. Those kinds of safe guards probably didn't exist when I bought my car. ::) Or if they did, I couldn't have afforded a car that had them.

Never! :o
Nope. I've always either owned my own washer and dryer, or used my parents', or when I was in college or had the apartment in Lacey, washers and dryers were provided. Those weren't free, but they weren't at a separate laundromat business.
-
And again . . . no check.
I am sorry and frustrated for you.

That's a bummer DR ELMORE.....
-
Vibes for a quick fix to the THINGS THEY LACK for BK and DR Elmore!
-
BK also has no review, and it's not for lack of trying.
I just deleted the review from its purgatory, and in a little while I'll resubmit it and see what happens. If no go, then someone at Amazon will be called upon to assist.

Topic of the Day: In my CD player right now, the 1997 studio cast recording of Masada (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Masada-1997-Studio-Cast/1944/), featuring BK's close and personal friend, the late Michelle Nicastro.
-
After that will be kind of a follow-up to Masada, the 2008 London cast recording of Imagine This (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Imagine-This-2008-Original-London-Cast/14605), which has music by the same composer, Shuki Levy, but different book writer and lyricist. Imagine This is about a Jewish theater company in Germany during World War II putting on a production of the Masada story. I don't think they use any of the score from Masada, though. It would've been cool if they did (or could).
-
The only similarities between the two are a song title. Masada has the song, "When I Look In Your Eyes," and Imagine This has a song called, "When He Looked In My Eyes." They have totally different music and lyrics, though.
-

Well, I need to go now. I'm meeting my friend Shelly for dinner and laundry but my niece wants me to pick up food for her, so I need to leave work early (meaning now).
Be back later.

The day has been wonderful.
-
The trip to the zoo was most wonderful. I got some nice bird shots.
-
The day has been wonderful.
Great to hear that!
-
Back from a fun rehearsal, and then food at the House of Pies.
-
Then I went to the Half Price Books clearance sale and got some nice finds, including a London Show Boat I didn't have.
-
Tonight, I went to hear my old high school classmate, Joan Osborne, sing Bob Dylan songs.

Good night, all.
-
Great pic, and I am glad your day was wonderful.
-
I had a nice day and managed not to make any stupid moves with my shoulder.
-
Tonight we watched the second episode of THE CROWD. So far it is excellent.
-
DR Vixmom, did you ever finish watching it?
-
I barely read yesterday and not at all today.

'night
-
Good evening.
-
It has been a long day.
-
They kept changing the time of my sister's surgery.
-
First it was scheduled for ten, arrive at eight o'clock.
-
Then it was 12:15, arrive at ten.
-
So they got there at ten, and I arrived at eleven.
-
But 12:15 had been changed to 12:30.
-
And at 12:30, it was changed to 1:00 p.m.
-
Page 5
-
They ended up taking her to surgery just before two o'clock.
-
By 4:30, she went to recovery.
-
And it was well after six, before she got a room.
-
She was in a lot of pain, but they shot her full of morphine.
-
The surgeon said he thought it went well.
-
And that was my day.
-
Then I came home and watched SHE LOVES ME.
-
That was probably my favorite show that I directed.
-
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE was a close second.
-
Tomorrow, I have no real plans.
-
Well, of course, I will get up at sometime in the morning.
-
And I will go to be sometime tomorrow night (or so).
-
But in between those two epic events it's anybody's guess.
-
I do need to go to the store, because I am completely out of Blue Bunny ice cream!
-
And I am addicted to Blue Bunny.
-
Check arrival vibes to DR Elmore.
