Well, you've read the notes, the notes were successful, and now it is time for you to post until the successful cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CRUCIVERBALIST!
-
First post after BK!

Here's the blurb:
Kritzerland is proud to present a two-CD set of classic movie music:
THE RED SHOES
Music from the Golden Age of British Cinema
Featuring music by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Brian Easdale, John Addison, Arnold Bax, Arthur Bliss, Richard Addinsell, Mischa Spoliansky, William Walton, Benjamin Frankel, Nino Rota, and Malcolm Arnold.
All during the 1940s and 1950s, American cinema was producing some of the best music ever written for films – composers like Max Steiner, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Alfred Newman, Miklos Rozsa, Bernard Herrmann, Dimitri Tiomkin, Hugo Friedhofer, David Raksin, and many others, delivering one great score after another. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that there was also an extraordinary number of equally brilliant scores being written by by equally brilliant composers like Ralph Vaughan Williams, William Walton, Arnold Bax, Arthur Bliss, William Alwyn, Benjamin Frankel, Brain Easdale, Allan Gray, John Addison, Richard Addinsell, and many others, delivering one great score after another. And it is those films we salute with this two-CD collection of some of the best and most magical music from the Golden Age of British Cinema.
Beginning with Brian Easdale’s amazing music from Powell and Pressburger’s masterpiece, The Red Shoes, these two CDs are loaded with fantastic music from such great films as Scott of the Antarctic, Things to Come, Blithe Spirit, Oliver Twist, A Matter of Life and Death, The Man Between, The Sound Barrier, The Passionate Friends, Henry V, The First of the Few, So Long at the Fair and others.
These historic tracks were all recorded contemporaneously to the releases of the films, mostly appearing on 78s and being extremely faithful to the way the music was presented in the films. There have been releases containing these tracks before – some sounded decent, some sounded horrible, some sounded processed to death. They weren’t always taken from the same exact sources, and that goes for this new compilation of these classic tracks, which utilize better sources for much of it. Our amazing audio restoration expert, Chris Malone, has labored mightily to optimize each track, and they are definitely much improved from past releases, sometimes dramatically so. And this music is so important in terms of its history that we hop you’ll all that hard work was well worth it. One thing you’ll find is that this is some of the most addictive music ever written for the screen.
The Red Shoes – Music from the Golden Age of British Cinema is a two-CD set limited to 500 copies only and priced at $23.98, plus shipping. CDs will ship by the first week of December, but never fear, we’ve actually been averaging three to five weeks early in terms of shipping ahead of the official ship date. To place an order, see the cover, or hear audio samples, just visit www.kritzerland.com.
ATTENTION INDIEGOGO CONTRIBUTORS: IF YOU WANT DON’T WISH TO RECEIVE THIS RELEASE YOU MUST OPT-OUT BY SENDING US AN E-MAIL – SEND TO kritzerland@gmail.com. IF YOU DO WISH TO RECEIVE IT, YOU DON”T NEED TO DO ANYTHING. IF YOU ARE NOT AN INDIEGOGO CONTRIBUTOR, ORDER AS YOU NORMALLY WOULD. THANK YOU.

Is there any chance at all that LEVI will get recorded?
-
Well, good night.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
We didn't go high enough to do a recording, but of course I'll give the authors the option to pay for it.

Congrats on the Indiegogo success!

TOD:
My family lived in the Midwood/Flatbush area until I was ten, when we moved to Luna park, then I moved to Manhattan when I was 26 (but three of those years from age 20 to 23 in there were mostly in dorms at law school). So Manhattan Plaza, where we are now, is my longest dwelling period in one place.
-
"More days like yesterday" vibes for vixmom!
-
Congrats to Druxy on all that material getting out there lately.
-
Congrats to Druxy on all that material getting out there lately.
Thank you. I'm having a lot of fun wearing my director's hat again.

T.O.D.
I lived in my Calabasas condo for 22+ years.
I kind of miss it, but I was lucky to move out when I did.
I missed having to pay the $40K judgement (That would have been my portion) when the condo association lost the lawsuit against the construction firm that did the repairs after the 1994 (?) earthquake.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Yesterday I was feeling run down and a bit sniffly and I woke up during the night with a raging sore throat. To whom do I complain?
-
It’s a good thing, a very good thing, that there’s nothing I have to do today.
Well, there are a thousand things waiting for my attention. As always. But I can afford to blow them off today.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept really late. I did not get home from John's small party until midnight, at which point I had to deal with an angry Annabelle who clearly has abandonment issues.
-
John's new condo on the East Side is really a beautiful one-bedroom apartment; its living/dining room space ,which he created by removing a wall, is a little larger than my apartment.
That leads to the TOD. I've lived in my apartment for 37 years.
-
He had a wonderful spread of fresh fruit and veggies, several cheeses, and salsa. I had two glasses of cranberry juice and vodka, so I was feeling no pain when I got home.
-
Since John, Rob, and Joshie are all working on this City Center Brigadoon concert, there was gossip pertaining to that, and I am looking forward to Monday's orchestra reading.
-
I hadn't seen Rob Berman since he got back from opening Bright Star in LA, but his mother Debby had told him that I was thinking of adopting another cat, so that was one topic of discussion. Debby Berman and I email occasionally and I had sent her Annabelle photos.
-
Joshie called a minute ago to check on me, and then he had to run to a rehearsal with the bagpiper. Bagpipes at 10!

Thanks to all for the continued vibes.
Moving & rehearsal vibes for MR BK.

Good news DR ELMORE!

Rachel Kelly, who's one of the leads on my recordings of Eileen and Dearest Enemy, has a major role in Glyndebourne's Cosi Fan Tutte. I am so happy her career is going so well. I do love her.

TOD:
My current residence. Mark and I moved into this house almost 15 years ago. Before that the longest I lived anywhere was eight years. My parents tended to move around a lot.
Druxy, I lived in a condo in Calabasas for five years. I loved it, but also felt I moved out just in time. It was sandwiched between two big grassy hills and was a huge fire hazard. Sure enough, a year after we moved, those hills caught fire and everyone in those condos had to be evacuated. The condos didn't burn, thank goodness, but I was so glad not to endure the stress of evacuating, trying to figure out which items to take, and worrying about losing everything else.
-
Thursday morning greetings! Fr. Richard left early this morning for an all-day church synod that's followed by a banquet, so he'll be away until sometime this evening. Mary Linda's going to the ladies' luncheon that's part of the synod, Rob's going to work, and I'm going to do errands. ML and I have to be home by 3pm, because her godson/my great-nephew J-dub is being dropped off here to keep us company for the evening.

Can’t blame you for not missing that kind of stress.

TOD - Current residence for me, too. We celebrated our 29th anniversary in this house on June 7. When we bought it, I said it was my "forever house" and that they'd carry me out feet first.
-
DR Jrand67 brings up an equally interesting question: Since phone numbers have always been able to follow you around to some extent, what phone number have you had for longest time?
I've lived in this house since it was built 23 years ago, way longer than whatever took second place.
My landline number is still the one I got when I moved from the west coast in 1989, so, 28 years. My cell number holds second place, at 15 years. This might take a little research, but I don't think I ever had any previous phone number for more than maybe 5 years at the most.

Ouch. I hope your throat is much better by tomorrow.

Good news, and good luck your application is accepted.

If the condo association sued the construction firm, what was the judgment against the condo association for? Did they have to pay attorney fees or something like that?

We were in our Ashland home for 18 years. The only house that came close to that was my childhood home. I celebrated my 4th birthday there and moved out when I was 18, so about 14 1/2 years.
We were in our Pennsylvania home for 5 1/2 years, and about 5 years in our second Michigan home. A couple of our homes we were only in for 1 year. New Jersey & Massachusetts were each 2 years.
-
Good morning. (It is not quite noon here yet.)
-
TOD: We were newlyweds when we moved into this house in 1980 -- so 37 years. Now we are the old retirees on the block.
-
A good dental checkup today. My grafts from January and March have healed very nicely.

Page two? Really?

Back from stuff and bacon and eggs.

I'm back from my errands, Mary Linda's back from her luncheon, and the house is as toddler-proofed as it's going to get.

Its a good thing, a very good thing, that theres nothing I have to do today.

One of my favorite quotes (I have no idea who said it, though): "Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?"

Back from a perfectly wonderful Ethiopian lunch. Lots of veggies, a spicy (but not hot) beef stew.

Great news on Sir Rivington, Larry.

I had a magnet with that quote I could not resist buying. Keith, the man who does the opposite, didn't think it was funny ;D

Tomorrow is the wedding rehearsal....and cold, rainy weather may necessitate a few changes.....outdoor weddings in 47 degree weather with a 60% chance of rain might be iffy.....
We shall see....the forecast for Saturday is as written above.

I need to buy "The Woman in Cabin 10" ebook to read by Monday for my book discussion group.
Nook has it for sale, the same price as Kindle, for $11.99.
File size: 8.41 MB (2.31 GB available on device)
They also have 05 The Woman in Cabin 10" ebook for $9.99.
File size: 7.21 MD (2.30 GB available on device)
Naturally I would prefer to purchase the $9.99 book. Does anyone know what 05 means?

I downloaded a sample of the 05 book, which had a different publisher than the original publisher, and it looked fine so I purchased it.
-
Now I need to find out why Barnes & Nobel did not subtract my credit from the cost of the book.
-
Today started out crumby I discovered that a loan processor kindly scheduled a 6 pm closing for us today at a borrowers Jon e on Statem Island
-
Ever try to drive from Long Ilsnad to Staten Island during rush hour? In the rain?
-
That does not sound like fun.
-
Plus they assigned it to a Closer with no clue about NY docs
-
I pulled a few strings , had it reassigned to a good NY closer and found a Staten Island notary who could take the docs by email
-
So it all worked out but it took a huge chunk out if the day
-
On the bright side I did a closing in the office today with a repeat client, a really nice guy, and he brought the office a huge box of delicious cookies from a Brooklyn bakery and he brought me a crystal candy fish shaped like a chocolate kiss and two bags of chocolate kisses to keep it full
-
Page three? Really?
-
Where is everybody tonight?
-
Perhaps they're wondering where their copy of The Crucible is.
-
I know I am.
-
Starting to watch Bahubali: The Conclusion. It's that three hour Bollywood flick that opened in second place at the box office earlier this summer.
-
Let's move on.
-
Four!
-
pAGE FOUR? rEALLY?
-
I'm facing another long day at the office tomorrow.
-
And then I'm going to try to see Jimmy Webb tomorrow night.

Good night, all.

I am going to begin the book I purchased.

Back from a productive rehearsal - got to the final scene of act one - it does go on so hopefully I'll finish it tomorrow and move right on to act two.
-
We only ran a few things at the Yacko rehearsal.

Stopped at Gelson's for a snack to bring home.

That was so sweet of him!
-
Well, I had a bit of an evening.
-
The last couple of hours or so of work were so rushed!
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Our non-fiction selector got a catalog from The Great Courses, who release lecture courses on either DVD or audiobooks (CD).
-
Their regular prices can be $500 per DVD set!
-
Granted, each course could have as many as 24 half-hour lessons, so it kind of makes sense.
-
Where is everybody?
-
But every once in a while, they have sales where the $500 (for instance) DVDs are only $100 (or so).
-
It all varies.
-
Hi, George.
-
Anyway, this particular catalog was for a sale that was supposed to end today.
-
I could order online, but you had to use a credit card.
-
Our credit card has an $8000 limit.
-
Is a sake anything like a sale?
-
Sad news - one of our Li'l Abner cast, Alaric, passed away yesterday after a long, valiant fight with cancer (he was in remission during Abner) - he was a lovely person - only 30 years old.
-
And we have about $1300 charged (which won't be paid until next month because those were charged during this month), so that only leaves about $6700 available.
-
But when I hit that $6700, I wasn't even half way through the order!
-
:o
-
I told the selector about the limit before I even started to place the order online, and she said to just get what we can get.
-

Condolences to all who knew and loved him.
-
HOWEVER, when I hit the submit button, I got a "Ceiling Limit. Please call Customer Service" error message, and I couldn't even order what I had in my cart!
-
That is very sad news Bruce. I am sorry.
-
Is a sake anything like a sale?
I don't know what you're talking about.
;)

Oh, my goodness. My condolences to his family and friends. :(

So I called customer service, but they couldn't help me because I needed to speak with their library customer service, which closed at 5 PM ET, and I was calling at 4:30 PM PT.
-
Fortunately, the non-library customer service woman was able to tell me that my items will stay in my online cart AND the sale prices actually will still be available when I'm able to call their library customer service on Monday.

Why can't you call tomorrow?
-
I can't call tomorrow because a bunch of us at work are going down to Vancouver, WA for a Sirsi/Dynix users group meeting (Sirsi/Dynix is the computer system that our library uses).
-
I wondered why you had to wait until Monday.
-
Will you be at my library?
-
We have to be at work by 6:45 AM(!) so that we can leave by 7:00 AM, so that we can be in Vancouver by 9:30 AM, at the latest.
:P
-
Way too early.
-
Vibes you are not delayed by traffic.
-
Will you be at my library?
I don't know specifically where the meeting will be held. There are some workshops throughout the day, I guess. I assume that it'll be at a library, but does your library have multiple branches? I work at our administrative head quarters called the Service Center, but it's not a branch open to the public.
-
Way too early.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I library near me is the award winning building. I hope you get to see it.
-
I forgot to mention it is the Fort Vancouver branch. I am clueless what else is in Vancouver.
-
Vibes you are not delayed by traffic.
Thanks, Jane!
-
The real concern wil be coming home. A couple of us would like to get back before 6:00. One of my staff has a thing that her daughter is in and she'd like to be back for that.
-
It looks like there are 16 locations.
-
I want to get back because Theater Artists Olympia is having our last fund raising event at The Midnight Sun before we pack up and leave. We have no more money to be able to rent the space, so we'll be a travelling troup, again. :-\
-
Vibes you get home on time.
-
It looks like there are 16 locations.
Nice. I don't remember if I ever knew where it was happening, or if I just didn't pay attention.
-
Vibes you get home on time.
Thanks again, Jane,
-
I hope you will be in the downtown area. It should be a nice day to walk around if you get a chance. The library, if you are there, is on C Street near the movie theater we prefer.

PAGE SIX DANCE!!

I'm sure that there will be time to get out.
-
Set a couple of alarms.
I know! At least I'm not driving, which means that I can sleep on the way down.
-
I DON'T WANT TO GET UP THAT EARLY!! But I must, which means that I need to go to sleep NOW!
-
'night
-
So, good night Jane and TCB and BK!
-
Have a good day tomorrow, all!
-
Good night, George. Safe trip vibes for tomorrow.
-
And good night to Jane, as well.
