Well, you've read the notes, the notes were begun and done, and now it is time for you to post until the begun and done cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GUISARD!
-
George, you were at the award winning building downtown. We walked to the Fort today which is across the freeway bridge, only we went from a different direction.
-
That was weird, I was posting when the day changed and was locked out of yesterday.

That's happened to me before. :-\

That is an incredible list!
-
That is an incredible list!
I know! The library where I work actually used to have a 16mm film collection that could be checked out. They got rid of them all just as VHS tapes started to become popular, which was just before I started working there.
-
Congrats on your sound designer, BK!
-
Very good news from last night about your sister, Tom!
-
Well, for the first time in a while I get to sleep in, so I'm going to go to sleep now so that I get a lot of sleep, especially since I've been up since 5:30 AM yesterday.
Good night and have a good day, all!
-
'night
-
Good morning to all
-
BK
What a collection!
Lots of the films you listed there are favorites. Some I've never seem.
What exactly is Tech/Scope and IB Tech?
-
Good morning!
-
Hello from the Big Apple!
-
On Thursday, I went to 54 Below to see the Broadway Tenors, the group formed by Brent B. They were launching their new CD. Great performances by one and all, including Ryan Silverman, Kyle Dean Massey, John Cudia, Sean McDermott and Mr. B.
-
Yesterday was a beautiful day so I thought it was a good time to go to the One World Observatory at the World Trade Center. It was a great experience.
-
Last night I saw a Gershwin tribute at Pace University in lower Manhattan. There were four terrific performers: Christine Andreas, Klea Blackhurst, George Dvorsky and a young guy named Nicolas King.
-
Sorry to hear Mr. Richard Sherman is not feeling well. Lots of vibes his way.
-
DR Laura: I "LOL'd" at your conversation with your daughter!
-
My hotel is steps away from Times Square. Unfortunately, construction workers are out at about 7:30 every morning. The sound of jackhammering is constant. I was awake anyway, but...
-
I did remember to set my DVR for Falsettos. I'm going to watch it so see if I like it any better than I did when I saw it on stage last year.
-
Congras to BK and company on the success of the Indiegogo campaign!
-
What a fantastic collection of movies you had, BK!
-
Today is the 6-week anniversary of my relocation to South Cackalacky! So far, so good.
Nothing newsworthy to report, happily. Things are really relaxed and relaxing, and I cannot get quite enough of that.
I am certain that will catch up to me eventually, and I'll grow restless. For the time, being, however, I'm not interested in committing myself to a volunteer project.
I now have three - count 'em, three -- Thanksgiving meals to look forward to. The first is Tuesday at Noon. It's a "seniors lunch" for regulars at 3td Generation. Completely free.
The second is Nov. 12th at my mother's church.
And the third is Thanksgiving Day at my Cousin Debra's.
How jolly. A great lead-in to the holiday season.
-
I do have a project: Finding a vehicle.
Not quite sure what I'm seeking yet, but will get there.
-
Happy Saturday to you all.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I've reached the turning point in this cold, but will still have to take it very easy today. It would be so nice if these things would run their course faster.
-
T.O.D.
BK,
You owned all those movies on 16mm or 35mm?
:o :o :o :o
How did you stay out of jail?
:D :D :D :D
-
Good morning, all!
-
Welcome to Page 2!
-
I still feel puny. I am also sleepy, but Annabelle insisted on breakfast and she wanted her birds fed. So . . . I am groggy and shuffling around the apartment. I will spend some time lying down, wishing I could sleep. I also want to listen to The Crucible this afternoon.
-
DR Coronado, the USA and Britain could have used your code services in WW2.
-
"One man's death is another man's living
Under the gallows tree"
One of Ira Gershwin's wonderful lyrics for the executioners from Kurt Weill's The Firebrand of Florence, which I am listening to as I putter around the apartment.
As soon as I clean the litter box, I am heading back to bed.
-
HA! Well my sister is picking me up at 12:30 p.m. and we will head for the wedding. It will be nice, but it will be a bit cold....we shall see how long I will stay after the MAIN part is over.....
My sister says she will bring me home when I am ready..... Of course I'm ready NOW, but that doesn't count.
-
That's quite some list!!! Two movies that stand out to me are:
TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD
UP THE DOWN STAIRCASE
-
I shall return sometime today....we shall see....
-
I shall return sometime today....we shall see....
Have a good time, DR JRand67!
-
DR Ron it is nice to see you. I have wondered how things are there. Relaxing for now is smart in my opinion. Often with a move there is a tendency to get over involved with activities.
-
Enjoy your day DR Jrand.
-
I'm up, I'm up - five or six hours of sleep and apparently there's another teardown happening because the noise on a Saturday morning is beyond belief.
-
IB tech/technicolor are dye transfer prints that never fade, i.e. Technicolor prints. I had tech prints of every MGM musical from the Golden Age - Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain, American in Paris - all of 'em. I showed movies every Saturday night for six years and had my annual movie marathon every Christmas.
-
Saturday afternoon greetings! It’s a college football doubleheader day for me. Michigan just took care of Rutgers and finally put in a new quarterback. Now it’s time for THE game of the day - Ohio State vs. Penn State. I have no emotional investment in this one, but I do like to see the Buckeyes lose...
-
Good afternoon.
-
I picked up my produce box today. LOTS of zucchini and yellow squash. Good thing I like it.
Also lots of dried dates.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
As I still haven't received The Cruicible, I would assume my last CD package has reached an end. Is there a way to find out, BK?
-
TOD 1:
I'm not familiar with Judex. I see it in the Criterion Collection, but I've never watched it. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
-
TOD 2:
So many favorites, but favorites among favorites would include:
Touch of Evil
Vertigo
Diabolique
Night of the Hunter
To Kill a Mockingbird
The Red Balloon

I have made my S'mores Rice Krispie Treats. I put Golden Grahams with Rice Krispies, added cocoa powder to the marshmallow mix.
Then I put chocolate on top and sprinkled more marshmallows on top. Then I popped it under the broiler to get the marshmallows toasty. I have to let it sit for a while, I guess, before I can actually try it. The chocolate melted a little under the broiler.

There's a video on Facebook of the opening number. It's really fun.
-
Off to a nap.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I now feel like I'm coming down with something. I have lots of Sambucol here, lots of food, and lots to watch or read. I did the laundry and had hoped to do some cleaning, but may just rest today. I'm worn out.
-
Glad to hear about the new sound designer. I hadn't realized that position was still open.
-
Good news from TCB's sister. I'd say that sleeping through the night is quite significant.
Continued vibes to her.
-

Feel-better soon vibes to Larry and Chas and anyone else who needs them.
-
It's good to see Ron posting again. I've known several people--all of them men--who looked forward to retirement, only to feel adequately rested after six months to a year and ready to go back to work. Knowing that you don't have to work can make a big difference. Of course, some choose to keep relaxing. I think a lot depends on one's health and what second career options are available.
-
three!!!
-
Continued vibes to BK and the LEVI! rehearsals. I am continually amazed at how quickly these shows are pulled together.
-
Hi, George.
-
Have a good weekend, everyone.
TTFN.
-
DR Laura, is that Joshie in your avatar?
-
Annabelle and I were playing fishie on a pole. She had caught it and wouldn't let go. I gave it a huge tug and the fishie came off the wire, flew somewhere, and now we can't find it. This is most distressing. She loves the fishie.
-
I've ordered another. If we find the fishie, and we will, then we'll have two.
-
Hi, George.
Hi, Jeanne!
-
Bye, Jeanne!

Happy 6-Week Anniversary, Ron! And about those Thanksgiving meals...at least they're not all on Thanksgiving Day!
-
Well, I must be off. First, I'm going downtown to the Olympia's Farmers Market. My sister is at a table with information about PFLAG down there, and I said I'd visit for a bit. Then, I want to get something to eat.
-
And then I need to be at my parents' house by 6:15 or so. For my mom's birthday in June, I bought tickets for her and me to go to the Andre Rieu concert at the Tacoma Dime tonight. She loves watching him on PBS, so I thought that she'd like to see him live. She was pretty surprised and is really looking forward to the concert.
I'll have a report when I get back!
-
As I still haven't received The Cruicible, I would assume my last CD package has reached an end. Is there a way to find out, BK?
BK, I haven't received my copy of The Crucible, either. I know that Indiegogo campaigners had to opt-in. Did you get my e-mails? I think I originally sent my opt-in e-mail from the wrong e-mail address, but I did send a correction e-mail. Can you let me know if you got that? :-\
-
At the moment there's a PBS program with Richard Sherman talking about his songs and playing and singing. It's called "Richard M. Sherman: Songs of a Lifetime."

Yes, this is Joshie.

I bet those would be really good with some dates added.

My husband is still relaxing. Oh, boy, is he relaxing.

The fact you put this under the broiler makes it sound very good.

What a perfect gift, and an evening out with just the two of you will be special.

Vixdad and I slep unti 1030 this morning which is unheard of
-
WOW!
-
You must have really needed that, Vixmom.
-
I am making date bread.
-
Date bread sounds good.

I’d eat them with dates added.

Yes. I thought I had opted in as well.
-
Off to a Halloween party.
-
But first ...
-
Four!
-
Elmore, have you read Cousin Phillis by Elizabeth Gaskell?
-
Are you thinking of reading it? I have been wanting to read one of her books, however, not one of the three that PBS did such a wonderful job on. I want a fresh story.
-
John Griffin, did you opt in via e-mail? If so, then we'll check your tracking number.
-
Back from a good rehearsal - did a fun fight scene with everyone contributing business - Kay did a lot of her big sequence, and I did one short scene with our two leads. I'm hoping we can finish Monday or get close. Then I did a run to the new house, now I'm home and will write commentary and listen to a new Kritzerland master.
-
The date bread is good. Not the best thing I've ever had, but good.
Eight more pounds of dates to use up.
-
Listening to our next CD master - sounds great but have to address some things I think could be better on about eight tracks.

I did. It was the same email as the Claus O. album, which I got.
-
Halloween party was good.
-
I needed some relief tonight. Got news that a friend of mine, Bev, isn’t having success with the treatment of her ovarian cancer. They’re going to try something different but that hasn’t helped her mood any.
-
Are you thinking of reading it? I have been wanting to read one of her books, however, not one of the three that PBS did such a wonderful job on. I want a fresh story.
I’ve started it. It’s short but so far it’s not great. The narrator is a bit thick-headed. Of course, his growth could be the whole point.
-
It’s cold here tonight.
-
Good evening.
-
Page 4? Really?
-
I think my poor iPad is really on its last leg.
-
Or maybe it is just the bad operater.
-
Today was "lazy Saturday."
-
As opposed to lazy every other day of the week.
-
My big adventure was a quick trip to the grocery store.
-
I decided t go right after the Washington Huskies' game.
-
Apparently, everyone else picked the same time to go shopping.
-
The lines were incredible.
-
It looked like the day before Thanksgiving.
-
I got what I needed, and got out of Dodge.
-

I am sorry. Super vibes the new treatment works.

Thanks. I think I will pass unless you rave about it at the end.
-
I think my poor iPad is really on its last leg.
Keith is thinking he might need a new one soon. His is very old.
-
By the way, the Washington Huskies beat UCLA.
-
Tomorrow, we switch from college football to the NFL.
-
The Seattle Seahawks are playing the Houston Texans in Seattle.
-
I need to finish reading my book by tomorrow.
-
Page 5
-
I need to finish reading my book by tomorrow.
How much of the book is left to read?
-
I am curious to know why DR Kevin didn't like FALSETTOS.
-
I have very little to say tonight.
-
Of course, that has never stopped me from posting before.
-
CRANBERRIES!
-
UNDERPANTS!
-
I hope George and his mother enjoyed the concert this evening.
-
I have watched some of the Andre Rieu programs on PBS.
-
It was nice to see Ron posting today.
-
Tomorrow I really need to take the A/C vent out of the bedroom window.
-
We are supposed to get our first nights below freezing by next weekend.
-
I also need to clean house tomorrow.
-
That includes going through the stack of mail and either pitching it or shredding it.
-
I am already getting bogged down with catalogs
-
Where is everyone?
-
I need to finish reading my book by tomorrow.
How much of the book is left to read?
I just finished 😊
-
I also need to clean house tomorrow.
I have been putting off things that can wait until the cold, wet weather returns,
-
I have been walking as close as possible to 30,000 steps a day. It is simply too nice not too.
-
Today I did what I should have done yesterday and the day before. I wore shorts.
