I am off in about an hour for a PET Scan to see if everything worked....if it shows nothing still there or nothing new, I think I am given a six month reprieve from further treatments. As I understand it, I will get the results at my appointment with my doctor on Nov. 28.
TOD: The only political one so far that really makes me wonder where the line is drawn is the lady who said that her boss, a Congressman, had asked her to twirl so he could see the whole outfit on a day when she was wearing an especially nice outfit. (Apparently, she got a bonus not long after that, and thinks she got the bonus because of that.)::)
i know that, over my 30-something years in the business world, there have been a good number of workplace situations where someone came into the office dressed to the nines for an event later in the day and co-workers or a boss said something like "Oh, let's see!" and the well-dressed person would do a full turn to show what they were wearing.
But I gather it's different if it's a co-worker asking to see the outfit rather than a boss? Or maybe not? It's tough to say.
I left a very good paying job because if multiple instances of workplace harassment back in 1977
And no I did not report it at the time because he was a manager with 30 years with the company and I was a 5 year supervisor
That being said I can tell the difference between being sexually harassed, flirting and friendly compliments...it is not clear that all of these accusers can say the same
I just got word that the audio adaptation of FLYNN, my one-person stage play about Errol Flynn, is now available for download on Amazon, audible.com and, within a day or so, iTunes. Sam Burns brings the screen's most famous Robin Hood to life in this production, which has been enhanced with music and sound effects. Enjoy!

Just watched the Orson Welles Othello. It’s good but it could have been better with a bigger budget. The dubbing got to me. It usually does.

I wish I was able to listen to the audio versio while walking.
Successful PET scan vibes and prayers for our Jack
The doctor visit went well. i've lost 10 lbs.
I just slaved over a hot stove (for about ten minutes) making the cranberry sauce.

Get an iphone. :D
I am home. First thing I did was tackle Annabelle, force some baby food down her, and give her 6 ml of Clamavox. She is not happy with me at the moment.

Just reporting in to say that the site has been barely limping along for me for about the last 45 minutes. It either doesn't come up at all, or a page or a post finally lands after a couple of minutes wait. It's been kind of intermittently slow the past day or so, since the other night when we were all getting that error message. But this is really noticeably bad.
I have to be out by 8:00 for my appointment at 8:30. My doctor's concerns will be lowering my blood sugar andI hope all goes well.

Well, I just held her down and forced several pinkies of baby food into her mouth, which she swallowed. I then gave her a dose of the Clavamox.

Same here and then I could not get in a few minutes ago.

DR George I hope you haven't gained any back. I am guessing you suspecting the time would come when your approach would need tweaking to reduce your calorie intake and more exercise to burn calories off.
Good luck finding the way to the next step, and congratulations on getting this far.

DITTO!
Well, I have verified that the piece of mail that the PO clerk was so nasty about on Friday has been delivered. Whew!

I sent the scans of the two orchestra scores to the London conductor Martin Yates when I returned from City Center. When Annabelle and I came in, I got this email from him:
You've done a great job and so quickly. It's funny, because we are all so used to looking at sibelius scores, seeing your handwriting made me feel rather nostalgic.... you see the work that went into the scores and you don't see that with sibelius....
Good news about Annabelle. I would suggest that when the time comes, you leave Thatch's cage door open and let him come out when he wants to. Then he can go back in if he wants to do that, too.

Thanks to everyone. The PET Scan was very interesting. I came home a fell asleep and missed all of my afternoon shows.....which was NOT a tragedy.....
I will watch for the results online, but even if they show up there, I probably won't know what I'm looking at.
Well, Annabelle turned her nose down at the baby food, and I thought, Jeez, how logn will this continue?
Then, I gave Thatch his dinner of Wellness chicken paté, Wellness kibble, and Meow Mix seafood medley. As soon as I put the food down and Thatch dug in, Annabelle barged into the cage and started eating his food with him! So I dumped the Gerber's and gave her the other half of the paté. She didn't eat much, but it enabled me to give her the second daily dose of .6ml of Clamavox.
Thatch is planning an escape from the cage. He thinks I don't know it. Ha ha!
As I walked past the kitchen, I saw Annabelle eating more of her food.
What happened when she ran into his cage? Did he freak out?

Ginny, how is your nose today?
Ginny, Ginny, Ginny. Sigh.
OUCH Ginny. It is amazing you didn't break it.
SUPER FAST HEALING VIBES!
I bet. How do you find the right balance of keeping off of it and moving enough to prevent a blood clot, or do the meds protect you?
Ginny, Ginny, Ginny. Sigh.
Housework is dangerous, DR Laura!

That's why I rarely do it.
Ginny, how is your nose today?
My nose is pretty quiet today, DR John G, but we've just come from 2 hours in the ER after a 4-pound hand weight fell from the bookshelf I was dusting. It smacked the top of my left foot and I yelled until Richard and Rob came running. We watched it swell and discolor and decided it should be x-rayed. Fortunately, nothing's broken, but I won't be tap-dancing anytime soon.
I'm wondering if you need to keep him caged for another couple days.

DR Ginny, you have got to stop these dreadful bids for attention. You could seriously hurt yourself!

I asked the PA that very question. He said to flex my ankles frequently while sitting.
And, yes, the meds should help.

And . . . Annabelle has moved on to the Purina Party Mix. I guess her appetite is returning.

I'm watching a strange Polish cannibal mermaid musical called The Lure. It's really quite a bit of fun in a perverse sort of way.

DR John are you pleased with the surgery date?
No. It seems like a long time off, but it was the first date available. I guess I can enjoy the holidays.
A treat for John G:
BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES season 4 airs Dec 4 on Acorn TV.
(A treat for me, too.)
I have my root canal tomorrow. I have much to discuss with my dentist.

Is this the film that was just released by Criterion? I guess it’s time for me to wake up and get interested.

I will be up way too late tonight, but I forgot to watch the season finale of Poldark.
It's 12:35 am.
Can't sleep.
And, I have a radio interview to do at 10:30 tomorrow morning.
