Oscar Peterson, probably because I know his widow and therefore know more about him. In fact, the first Oscar Peterson International Jazz Festival will take place at Niagra Falls in February.

The piano concertos sound wonderful.
Glad all is going so well in the Larry household!

Thanks to vixmom for having such an entertaining life, and telling us about it!!!
I am very tired after reading about DR VIXMOM's Sunday adventures.
Vibes for George's mom and that George woke up on time!

Niagra Falls in February? Are they hoping no one will attend? I wish them warm weather but that's prime blizzard time
So back to my story...we explained to the telephone guy that he was looking at the wrong pole and had him come across the street to look at the right one
I think the cage can come down. Annabelle walked up to Thatch, touched his face with a paw, and then bolted across the apartment. I think she's playing tag, and I think he's wondering, WTF?
Thanks to vixmom for having such an entertaining life, and telling us about it!!!
She should write a book!
Wait. What’s that horrible noise? It sounds like ... the mass suicide of an army of proofreaders?!
Thank you for the health vibes, DR Elmore. I'll take all I can get. At this point I don't know what this is, but I'm thinking half-and-half allergies and cold. We'll see as the day goes on. And as the evening goes on. Because, of course, the show must go on.
I love Oscar Peterson. I was lucky to see him around 1998 at Carnegie Hall.
I would add to him Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Armstrong.
Thatch and I are back from a visit with Dr Mohr. He's one sick little kitty: conjunctivitis, a heart murmur, and dehydration; blood was drawn and he was very good. No crying, no screaming at either the rectal thermometer or the needles.
His temperature is fine (102F), and I have drops for his eyes, which Dr Mohr cleaned out before she checked for any corneal scarring (none!). Since everything looked good on his ASPCA release forms, I'm wondering if his foster parents need to keep better track of their charges' health.
As a sometimes foster, I can tell you that it is difficult to get fosters in to see the vet. I usually didn't get a call back when I asked to see the vet. I paid retail for many vet visits.
Well, back to the daily walks. I walked at the mall this morning, since it was a nippy 55 degrees out. Stop laughing.
OMG, poor kitty! I wonder why he'd be dehydrated. Glad you got him in to be seen!
Yes/ They drink their water.
Maybe due in part to the conjunctivitis and any other bug he might happen to have.
Did she say anything about the heart murmur, other than she could detect one? I believe that is not all that uncommon in cats.
I have slept the better part of this day so far, and part of it honestly feels like a Benadryl hangover. I haven't taken it much lately, and sometimes I'll feel a prolonged or delayed reaction to it. I'm eating yummy turkey and stuffing leftovers and drinking caffeinated beverages to get the blood moving again. I don't feel "sick", but I do think it's a combination allergies and light cold. The second night and morning should tell the tale.
How low a dose of Benadryl does a kitten get?
How low a dose of Benadryl does a kitten get?
1/4 tablet twice a day.
DR elmore did the vet tell you the level of severity of the murmur?
DR Ginny, I am pleased your foot is improving. Continued healing vibes!

Thank you, DR Jane. Slight set-back today, in the form of swelling that kept me from getting into my left shoe. I’ve spent the day icing and elevating...
Thanks for the vibes.
And vibes back to all who need them--DRs Ginny, Elmore, Chas, TCB, and Jrand.
I have telephoned the Missouri Synod about DR VIXMOM's difficulties.I'm the Missouri Synod man, JRand. Vixmom is ELCA.
It was Dental Day again. Root planing this time. Same drill: soft foods.
I'm unfamiliar with many of these procedures. My dad lost all his teeth when I was a little girl and I know too well all the discomfort he suffered. As a result, I've always been very conscientious about taking care of my teeth and gums. I just wish I'd known more in those early years. I do feel that my efforts helped to delay the need for the procedures. Had I started flossing earlier and using Closys mouthwash I'd be in better shape.

Chuckling but 55 can feel cold, especially if the sun isn't shining. You need to know how to layer for it, and have appropriate clothing.

They said they don't have any tapes for the Netflix machine either.
Starting to watch The Women's Balcony. It's wonderful. I don't know that I've seen scenes of everyday life in Jerusalem like this. And the cast is wonderful. What a sweet, genuinely funny film.
Just finished "The Women's Balcony." May be the best movie I've seen this year.

55 is not cold! It snowed here yesterday (although not much). I already hate winter.
Page FIVE? We danced that dance already. Page six? Really?
Well, I need to go to bed now. I have to get up a couple of hours earlier than I normally do so that I can drive my mom to the hospital.
Have a good day, all!
Yesterday I was running a multitude of errands

And more vibes for George’s mother.

DR George I read the first Flavia de Luce book had really haven't had any interest in continuing the series. I have friends that loves the books, friends I normally share an interest in the same books with. Maybe it was my mood when I read the first one & I should give another one in the series a try, if I ever need something to read.
SURGERY VIBES TO THE DEAR MOTHER OF DR GEORGE!
Thanks to vixmom for having such an entertaining life, and telling us about it!!!

It's official! Prince Harry is engaged to Meghan Markle! (We'll miss seeing her on SUITS, one of our favortie TV shows, of course.)

Vibes for DR CHAS SMITH, DR JOHN G, DR GINNY, and the mother of DR GEORGE.....and anyone I am forgetting....chemo brain.
DR ELMORE's household sounds like it is getting situated at last - great news.
DR JANE is getting ready to T R A V E L....I look forward to photos!

We have temps in the 60's today and tomorrow....hurray!

If all goes well and according to plan, I will be meeting a Mr. Thatch on Wednesday.

I looked it up and will see if Keith is interested in watching it. Thanks for mentioning it.
I have been feeling puckish today.
Not sick, just out of sorts.
