Well, you've read the notes, the notes pushed and pulled, and now it is time for you to post until the pushed and pulled cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BREVILOQUENCE!
-
First post after BK!
-
First post after TCB!
-
Hmmm, I will have to think about the T.O.D. There are so many. Basically I have trouble with most “method” actors. Actors who have to go for six weeks without bathing, in order to play a homeless person is just ridiculous to me.
-
As Sir Laurence is supposed to have said, “My dear boy, why don’t you just try acting?”
-
I can't think of any specific actors or actresses who annoy me. I'm sure that there are some, but I can't think of any right now.
-
As Sir Laurence is supposed to have said, “My dear boy, why don’t you just try acting?”
I've heard that story.
-
Thank you DR George
-
Be Well vibes for DR TCB!
-
Yes, Olivier said that to Dustin Hoffman.
-
DR elmore be sure to take a video of DR John jumping onto your counter.
-
Well, it's bed time.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning to all
-
TOD
Joaquin Phoenix
Saw a film (The Master) he did where he mumbled so much I kept turning to friend and asked "what did he say?" several times and then gave up up. I've seen him in two other films and the problem wasn't as bad.

My body is a bit sore from bouncing in the air and landing hard on the 4x4 tour truck yesterday. We get to ride in a similar truck tomorrow. Oh joy, but it is with seeing the animals 😊

The giraffe picture from yesterday reminded me of this.

Good morning, all!
-
The babies are fed and now birdwatching. I'm on my first cuppa coffee. I could have used another hour of seep, but 7:30 lands and Annabelle demands.
-
I need a bank trip this morning after I clean the litter and call my barber for a Thursday morning appointment. The rest of the day will be work on How To Succeed and Me and My Girl.
-
Good morning.
-
I woke up at 2:30 a.m. But I went to bed at 6:30 p.m., so I guess that's ok.
-
I got under the covers to get warm. And my DH was watching a youtube video with some guy droning on while dissecting an LED light bulb.
-
I need to find out where to find that video again.

Check his computer's history.

T.O.D.
Marlon Brando
Jack Nicholson
-
Good morning, all.
-
Woke up feeling like I only got half a night's sleep, with no energy. Doing better now, with a second cup of coffee and some delicious rye toast and a frozen/microwaved breakfast burrito that is quite tasty.
-
It's movie night in my friend's "home theater" tonight. I haven't been able to attend one of these in a while, so it'll be fun. We haven't decided yet what we're watching.
-
I recommend this:

-
Nice music samples.....I especially liked Seven Beautiful Children! Classic Golden Sherman/Sherman.
-
I have never heard of The Phantom Thread....but it sounds fun.
-
Good morning, all.

TOD:
Where to start?
Deb Messing - besides being annoying she always does her Marjorie Lord acting by pulling her mouth down after she says something funny (or she THINKS it's funny).
Dustin Hoffman - although folks here at HHW who have worked with him say he is a nice man.
Henry (I'm always the same) Fonda - try watching two or three of his movies in a row....
Tony Randall
Yvette Mimieux
Oscar Homolka
Joseph Cotten
I'll stop for now......
-
TOD:
Early Meryl Streep (Sophie’s Choice era)
Vivien Leigh in Streetcar
Russell Brand
Russell Crowe
Tom Cruise, especially in Eyes Wide Shut
-
TOD:
Dustin Hoffman - although folks here at HHW who have worked with him say he is a nice man.
Yep, he is. I'm still having a hard time believing those harassment allegations. But he annoyed Laurence Olivier, too, DR JRand67, so you're in good company.

Two Broadway actors:
Bernadette Peters
Victoria Clark
Film actors:
Angelina Jolie
Tom Cruise
I know there are more; what's run off with my mind?
-
So, George, do you get British channels?

The same succubus that nabbed mine.

Joseph Cotton
Some of us don't cotton to how you spell Cotten, DR Jrand67.

Tuesday afternoon greetings!

Same here. I started hanging ornaments about an hour ago and just sat down for a break.

TOD: Owen Wilson

TOD: Owen Wilson
I’m indifferent to Wilson, but his name reminded me that I really can’t stand Kate Hudson.

Ugh DR ELMORE reminded me:
Bernadette Peters EXCEPT in SUNDAY IN THE PARK....
Kristen Chenowith with NO exceptions.
DR CHAS SMITH I have made the change for Mr COTTEN's name - but not his affect on me.
-

Bernadette Peters EXCEPT in SUNDAY IN THE PARK....
I would agree, and I also liked her very much in the film IMPROMPTU. I liked Chenoweth in two things, STRIKE UP THE BAND at City Center Encores! and THE FANTASTICKS around 25 years ago.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
I run hot and cold on Bernadette, but I really like her in Pennies from Heaven, whose musical numbers are really wonderful. In fact, for anyone who watched A Christmas Story Live (I didn't, but I did see two of the numbers - awful songs and terrible choreography), the tap number Jane Krakowski did with the kids is a complete rip-off of this amazing number from Pennies with Bernadette and genius choreography by Danny Daniels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQlfAm-kLNg&feature=share

I barely slept last night and am hoping for close to 8 hours of sleep before the alarm goes off in the morning.

I loved Danny Daniels. He choreographed the 1998 JUBILEE at Carnegie Hall that the wonderful Todd Ellison did with that evil queen Herb Ross.

In a major brain fart I just fed the kitties an hour earlier than I usually do. Oy!
-
My barber is booked solid on Thursday, so I'll see him on Friday morning.
-
Whenever I come home late, Rex and the Night Cats tell me that Sandra hasn't fed them. They lie a lot.
-
Also, Rex and the Night Cats is the name of my next band.

Pennies from Heaven blew me away. Watched it two times in a row the day it opened.

When I came in last night and turned on the teevee Doctor Dolittle was on
I've ordered the Doctor Dolittle Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Expanded Soundtrack (http://www.screenarchives.com/title_detail.cfm/ID/34861/DOCTOR-DOLITTLE-2-CD-3000-EDITION/). :)
It hasn't arrived yet. :(
-
Along with it, I ordered David Shire's unused score to Apocalypse Now (http://www1.screenarchives.com/title_detail.cfm/ID/34862/APOCALYPSE-NOW-THE-UNUSED-SCORE-2000-EDITION/), and the limited edition 40th anniversary remastered soundtrack to Close Encounters of the Third Kind (http://www1.screenarchives.com/title_detail.cfm/ID/34860/CLOSE-ENCOUNTERS-OF-THE-THIRD-KIND-40TH-ANNIVERSARY-REMASTERED-2-CD-5000-EDITION/). This last one is not yet released (at least, according to Screen Archive's website), so my whole order won't ship until they're all available. I knew their pre-order policy when I ordered these, so that doesn't bother me. ;)
-

Not that one. Only BBC America...that I know of.

Umm...that link is to SHIRLEY TEMPLE BABES IN TOYLAND. Do you mean Love Is Good For Anything That Ails You (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrsyp0FBBnI)?

Little Thatch has discovered that being held can be a beautiful thing. I am very happy to hold him and watch him snuggle.

Sweet!
-
Oops, yes, thanks for the correct link.
-
Emptied four boxes o' stuff. Does anyone here have Reel Imagination, the Michelle Nicastro CD - I can't find that box and I need to get an mp3 of In My Own Little Corner/Impossible ASAP.
-
Listening to a classical album that is a very strong potential Kritzerland release - depending on a test I do with my mastering guy, we could announce this one this year.
-
Danny Daniels was on the TCM In Memoriam video I saw last night.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I am home from a root canal, part 2. The dentist wasn't able to clean out all the canals today, so I'll have to return for part 3 in a few weeks. Joy.
-
He seems pleased with the progress. I'm pleased that he's pleased. He tries to give me little updates while he's working on me, but it's all dentalology. I haven't a clue what it means.
-
During the two hours I was there DHL texted me FOUR times about a package they're trying to deliver to me. Do they really think that people can drop what they're doing just because they received a text? I went to their website last night, hoping I could tell them to come another time, but their site has no provision for that. You can, however, ask them to deliver your parcel to a neighbor. I can hardly ask a neighbor to stay home all day on my account. I'd like to tell them a few things about software design.
-
I am still numb, so no food. The air continues to be VERY dry here, hence the fires. I'm trying to stay hydrated and am sipping through a straw.
-
TOD:
Anne Hathaway. For me she is like fingernails on a blackboard. Can't stand her. I thought it was just me at first, then I learned that there's a large number of "Hathahaters." One woman, apparently a fan, accused us of all just being jealous because AH is "so beautiful and talented." Ha! There are many lovely actresses whose work I admire.
-
No males come to mind.
-
Add Kristen Chenoweth to my list of females.
-
I'd like to see a remake of DOCTOR DOOLITTLE. I love the score, but the movie is just too long.
-
Glad to hear about the progress with both Annabelle and Thatch.
-
I filed a claim with the USPS about the mail that was tampered with. I have little hope of any improvement, but since the mail was in a locked mailbox, it does suggest there's a problem locally. A few years ago I reported a similar problem to the police, but they said there was nothing they could do. (I think they could have in that case, but probably not in this one.)
-
Vibes to all.
TTFN.
-

There already was a remake of Doctor Dolittle (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118998/reference)...and a sequel (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0240462/reference). They just weren't musicals. ::)
-
Dental vibes for Jeanne.
-
My coworker was back today as if nothing had happened. She only came in because we had a meeting scheduled and the people we had it planned with later canceled at the last minute. She’s going to take tomorrow off. I think that will be good.
-
Hello!
-
Love reading about Annabelle and Thatch and happy that Thatch is coming around to being held!
-
Am watching the last two episodes of Dickensian. Some of it is sad because of the books that will follow the story later.
-
Let's move on.
-
Four!
-
I finished Alice McDermott's Ninth Hour today. Also sad.
-
And Evelyn Waugh's Ordeal of Gilbert Pinfold is also sad underneath the humor.
-
Enough sadness.
-
Dental vibes for Jeanne.
~~~Ditto!!~~~
-
Enough sadness.
Ditto!! ;)
-
I'm now listening to, and thoroughly enjoying, Three Piano Concertos (http://www.kritzerland.com/3pianos.htm). :)
-
DR JEANNE and I can spend the evening not watching Kristen Chenowith together.
-
Danny Daniels was on the TCM In Memoriam video I saw last night.
-
Good night, all.
-
Gratuitous Post No. 100!
-
Must be an echo in here.
-
I spent the whole day trying to make the impossible happen
-
I failed
-
Meantime I was unable to complete things that need to be completed
Whenever I come home late, Rex and the Night Cats tell me that Sandra hasn't fed them. They lie a lot.
We've got two such liars in this household. They spin many a tall tale whenever someone walks in the door.
So after leaving the office today at 715 I get to go in early tomorrow
For movies tonight, we caught up on two 3D releases: Gun Fury (1953) from our friends at Twilight Time, and Those Redheads from Seattle (1953) from our friends at Kino. We have a lot of friends, you see. Sizable portions of pizza and lasagna were consumed.
Well, it's FINALLY time for me to leave work. I was preparing the end-of-the-month report, but this month, it's the end-of-the-YEAR report! So, there's still a little more to do in the morning, but the bulk of it is now done and I can leave! Whew!!
Be back later!
-
Page four? Really?
-
Finished with my viewing - shut off the screener I was watching because I just could watch no more - maybe I'll try to finish it tomorrow, but I find it completely bad - and this is one of the most critically lauded movies this year, although I suspect it will do absolutely no box-office business. It's called The Florida Project, by a director that actually revels in the fact that his last film was shot with iPhones.
-
Let me get this straight - not one person here has the Reel Imagination CD? Have I got that right?
-
Good evening.
-
What is the REEL IMAGINATION CD??
-
Do you mean the Michelle Nicastro CD?
-
T.O.D.
Marlon Brando
Tom Cruise
Joan Crawford
-
One more post.
-
Page 5
-
Yes, I mean the Michelle Nicastro Reel Imagination CD.
-
CRANBERRIES!
-
I still feel like heck, and i am getting a really severe cough.
-
But I got a lot of sleep lately.
-
Hi, George.
Hi, Tom.
