Thatch climbed into bed with me around 3:30. I got little sleep between then and 7:00. He's like a hyper-active child, settling down for a few minutes, then jumping off the bed to return five minutes later, lie down, find a new sleeping position, find another, jump off the bed, return five minutes later, lie down, find a new sleeping position, find another, jump off the bed . . .

This has a lot of potential for the start of a romantic novella if you don't know Thatch is a cat.

From my new bodice ripper, Loving Kitty.

I love this story! A New South Wales Animal Shelter had a shy rather unsocial cat, Champas, for 400 days without being adopted, so they started a campaign to find him a home. They also made him their official receptionist so that he could meet new people every day. The campaign worked, and Champas become the owner of a young man named Nathan.

Wednesday morning greetings! Thanks to everyone who left vibes for my sister-in-law. Her surgery went smoothly and she's being released from the hospital today. She'll stay with her sister for a while to avoid the steps in her own house.
DR JOHN G I think that TONY ROME is Jill St.John's best performance. She is usually so stilted and phony in her acting, here she is pleasant and straight forward and no "acting" tricks. I don't know if it was Sinatra or director Gordon Douglas....but I liked her a LOT!
Maybe this role was closer to herself than some of her other roles.
Oh man, those films are a hoot -- TONY ROME and LADY IN CEMENT. The latter is, unfortunately, a bit ridiculous in comparison to the former, but I found them both a lot of fun when first watching them a year or two ago. Now I want to see them again.
Elmore, what can you tell me about The Lottery Bride with Friml music and Jeannette MacDonald?

Absolutely nothing. It's one of those early musicals I've never seen.

I saw a used copy today but they wanted more than I wanted to pay ($14).

I was looking at that on Amazon. It's the later re-release that cuts around 15 minutes.

I'm off to happy hour with some folks from work. I start back tomorrow. My, how time has flown.
No one got CDs today?
City Vet called. Thatch sees the cardiologist tomorrow. I will drop him off at 11:00 and pick him up when they call me.

Do they need to put him out for the procedure or will he be awake?

I have no idea what will happen tomorrow.

I am not drinking yet, Jane, though there's no reason I can't have any if I want it. But I just haven't wanted it lately.
A day or two of work might change that.
Where is everybody today?
I haven't been eating as much as I usually do. We're in the middle of Restaurant Week, and I have indulged a couple of times. The portions have been manageable.
It can't be any worse than The Great Waltz that I watched yesterday...the 1972 movie with Horst Bucholz as Johann Strauss, Jr.
Of course, all I could think of was: "Put your pants on, Spartacus!"
Time to watch something, maybe THE CROWN, with Keith.

Here was the peach-aji amarillo cobbler.
My problem is, always, in January when I write a book. I just eat every minute of every day because it helps me somehow. Now I have to lose what I've gained. I have to count calories and frankly I would be too frightened to get on a scale right now.
Why has no one guessed the title of the new book?

It looks good.
Get me some Ritz Crackers and spray cheese.....shoot....he's already gone.
I'm not ready to mention it, just would be amused by guesses, not that anyone anywhere at anytime could ever guess the title of this book. I say that with great confidence. I can safely say that there has been no book ever written with this title.
Page FIVE? REALLY?
WARREN PEEZBy Bruce Kimmel
Just found out that the combo orders didn't go out until today, so everyone should have them by Saturday.
Will the book be going out tomorrow?
