My question for ASK BK DAY:

Not that I've seen and I hope it stays that way :)
-
Listening to a John Rutter CD with a harpist named Catrin Finch - very soothing music and very pretty, with a beautiful-sounding orchestra, and gorgeously recorded. On Deutsche Grammophone.
-
Happy Birthday to Michael Shayne
Ditto!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Since I cannot eat six hours before the procedure, I awoke at 3:30, ate a sandwich and took all my meds for this morning. I was back to bed by 3:45, and I slept poorly after that. Annabelle stayed with me and Thatch fluttered in and out. I don't think he wanted to settle; I think he wanted me to feed him. I think now I should have given them a treat.
-
I'm feeling very sleepy at the moment, but the babies are fed, a lightbulb changed, the litter box cleaned, and I need to make the bed.
-
My friend Chris will pick me up after the procedure, since I'm required to have an escort. We will hit a diner and I will have some breakfast. If I'm feeling well, and I suspect I will, I will head down to City Center.
-
LOL.....now that you are there - there will probably be an exodus.....
-
Good morning, all.

Happy birthday, DR Michael.

I forgot to do yesterday’s topic:

Mr. Deeds Goes to Town
Meet John Doe
Love in the Afternoon

Good morning, all.

Happy Birthday to you, DR Michael!

And end of January health and wealth vibes for all. I can hardly believe we enter February tomorrow.

Happy happy birthday to DR MIchael!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the birthday wishes. They are most appreciated.

I forgot to do yesterday’s topic:
Gary Cooper
Mr. Deeds Goes to Town
Meet John Doe
Love in the Afternoon
High Noon
Love in the Afternoon is the only Cooper film I do not like. He and his character were unappealing to me and there, IMHO, wasn't any chemistry between him and Hepburn.

I felt the same way the first time I watched it. Since it’s a Billy Wilder movie, I gave it another chance and liked it much more.

Maybe one year I will though I have seen it twice.

The procedure went very smoothly: Anesthesia and several sharp pricks in my lower back around - or into - my spine. I have a huge bandaid covering the site. I feel quite good at the moment.

Good news, Larry!

So, I came late into work today. I sent this e-mail to my supervisor and my staff on why:
I'll be in late today. It turns out that my credit card was hacked! AARRGGHH!! They changed my e-mail address on my on-line account, opened a checking account in my name, started taking cash advances from the credit card and depositing them into this new checking account. I called the card's fraudulent hotline last night and now I'm talking with them again to deal with the checking account and deposits. I'll be in as soon as I can. :-(
-
This all literally started just yesterday. When I first checked my e-mails (I have several) yesterday in the morning, everything was fine. Then when I checked again in the evening, over 300 spam e-mails came in just that afternoon for the one that I use for this credit card when I NEVER get any on that e-mail address. I was just marking them as spam and deleting them when I noticed that one of them was for the bank that issued the credit card. It looked legitimate, saying that the e-mail address for my account had changed. I logged in (I did NOT click on any link in the e-mail) and the security question was different! I was eventually able to log into the account and I changed the password and security questions, and that's when I saw that they made a whole bunch of $50 cash advances, and every single one had a $10 charge...totaling $1400!! :o They also created a checking account (which I never had) on this account and transferred the money into that checking account. It didn't look like they actually withdrew any of the cash advances, so that's kind of good, I guess. Anyway, I was able to get the card cancelled and they'll issue a new one. I'll be sent some affidavits to sign, but I won't be liable for any of the charges.
NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:( :( :'( >:( :( :'( >:( :( :'(

And now, I'm going to lunch.

DR George, the credit card company is aware, so I would think any charges dated before your cancellation will be cancelled.

Hello, everyone.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DR MICHAEL SHAYNE!
May you have a lovely day.
-
Larry, I'm glad to hear that your procedure went smoothly and you're feeling good.
Vibes that continues!
-
DR George, ugh! So sorry you are having to go through this! I am confident that it will all be resolved satisfactorily, as each of mine have been. But it's still very stressful and a pain to go through. I think you are wise to be vigilant for other charges. These sound like clever thieves. Please keep us updated and especially let us know when it's all over.
-
DR George, the credit card company is aware, so I would think any charges dated before your cancellation will be cancelled.
Fortunately, as far as I can remember, everything that I had ordered or used the credit card for has been received, or at least charged and shipped. I don't have any automatic payments set up with that card, so there shouldn't be any problem in that respect. WHEW!!

That's horrible! When I lived in San diego there was a large Vietnamese community and rumor had it that some of them were killing neighborhood cats and serving them in their restaurants. Ugh! I wouldn't even THINK of eating in one of those places. And I'm a vegetarian!

I had my hairs cut today, then went to my favorite food store. I also tried a chocolate-covered donut that looked good but wasn't. I indulged more than usual over the holidays and let's just say that my appetite for sweets didn't vanish on Jan 1, as I'd intended.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DR MICHAEL SHAYNE!
May you have a lovely day.
Thank you

Wednesday evening greetings! We had great-nephew J here for several hours this afternoon. His maternal grandmother has been his primary caregiver, but she’s the one with the broken leg and a busy toddler requires constant supervision. I had Richard and Rob here to help and I’m still exhausted. I imagine we’ll have more of these opportunities in the next few months.
-
Happiest of birthdays to DR Michael!
-
Muse Margaret called - she's very invested in this book - it's funny. She felt I needed to add one more little thing, just to make sure one of the characters always remains sympathetic to the reader, owning up to an early mistake the character makes and taking responsibility. We found a place for it that actually worked in part two of the book and I added three very short sentences and she liked them bunches and it helps actually because I tagged it onto a paragraph consisting of two short sentences - I'd cut what followed it, so it was good to add it.
-
But part of the problem is she doesn't have an updated version, so she forgets what we've already added and cut - a lot of what she worries about has already been adjusted and I made sure she remembered that we did that - but adding this little bit is fine.
-
Happy Birthday to DR MICHAEL SHAYNE!

Starting a charming French musical from Rene Clair called Le Million.
The main character won’t pay any of his bills. He can’t. He’s broke. And every creditor under the sun is after him. One only lady shouts after him:
Thief! Assassin! Artist!

Oh no DR George. That story is horrible! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, it is! :-\

Well, I need to leave work now. I stayed late and filed Theater Artists Olympia's 2017 Annual Combined Excise Tax Return, and renewed our website domain (http://olytheater.com (http://olytheater.com)). The website hasn't been updated in a while because we're not doing anything right now. ::) My printer at home is out of ink and I needed to print some things, so I did it all here. And now, I'm going home.
Be back later.
