Well, you've read the notes, the notes were numero uno, and now it is time for you to post until the numero uno cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GERENT!
-
First post after BK!
-
I'd never heard of Numero Uno (actually, I just don't remember previous mentions of it in BK's notes) but the pizza sounds delish!
-
And now, I must go to sleep. I have a meeting in the morning with a rep who is coming from out of state. Because of her schedule seeing other libraries in the area, she's going to be at my work a couple of hours before I normally come in! I hate it when that happens. :P But I understand, and will get my butt outta bed in time to get to the meeting.
-
Good night and have a good day, all!
-
Page one? Really?
-
I'll try to get to bed in fifteen minutes.
-
First post on the east coast?
-
First poster after bk?
-
That has not happened for some time
-
Good morning, all.
-
Big Harper/Archer fan. Loved the movies. Really loved the Macdonald novels.
-
Non Merde vibes for MR BK.
-
This morning I am not able to post on Book Face. Every time I start, after typing a few letters, the screen goes dim and the post disappears.....EVERY TIME.....I wonder what is wrong?
-
Good morning to all

ASK BK (2 Parts)
Are IB Tech prints same as 3 strip technicolor?
When was the IB tech prints phased out?
-
And good morning!

The babies started bothering me around 6:45, so at 7:00, I got out of bed, fed them and the birds, who got a new fruit and seed feed, and went back to bed until 8:00. I would have slept longer but Thatch was upset about something and kept crying. So I got out bed, washed up and dressed to see what was bothering him. There was no water or dry food and he was pissed. I couldn't tell him that if he and Annabelle would stop playing so rough and stop pushing their Amazon carton into the water dish or if Annabelle would stop pushing my keys, wallet, cell phone, the mail, water glasses, and other objects off the table into the water dish. it might not be empty.
-
Hopefully, the elevator will be finished today. I'm not holding my breath.
-
I have much housework today: vacuuming, picking up, searching for lost kitty toys - I have no idea where all of Thatch's ping pong balls go! - and maybe some floor mopping. The place has gone to hell since I began my taxes.
-
Annabelle just crossed the room, two front feet in the Amazon box, and her back legs pushing it. I wanted to yell, watch the water dish, but what the hell.
-
By the way, the orchestra for Grand Hotel sounds really good.
-
Elevator vibes for DR ELMORE and the menagerie.

I am having the same problem. At first I thought i was banned again.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Another slight sleep-in, though I woke a few times earlier. I seem to have gotten the cats used to that extra hour, though I shan't hold my breath that it will last.
-
It's a welcome surprise to hear that the Numero Uno food actually lived up to BK's memories of years ago. That doesn't happen nearly as often as we'd like.
-
We had an Uno here, in the local mall, for some years, and I never went in there except a couple of times to meet someone and we maybe had a glass of wine at the bar or something. It left a few years ago and, to my knowledge, there are no more of them in this region.
-
Okay thanks DR ELMORE - so it's something happening to someone else....they will fix it eventually
I blame it on DR CHAS SMITH for starting all of his activity on BookFace yesterday. He broke the inter webs.
-
All of the slides are finished - I just need to know which format to use....4:3 or 16:9.....and so I wait.....

Page Two School Dance.
This is how my high school looked when I was there.

This is how part of it looks now.....lots of new building....including a swimming pool and an auditorium (we did our shows on the gym floor).
That bit of brick behind the new entrance is all you can see of the original building I posted. :D

That reminds me -- (but it's not nearly as bad) -- of my former junior high and high schools in Florida, in that the built-over additions over the years have made them appear so much less "open" or "welcoming". My junior high, in particular, looks like a prison fortress in comparison to its former self. It's really sad.
-
Well...in my case...it has been 50 years....so I suppose I should expect a few changes.....
Scary DR CHAS SMITH....but you are correct....many schools do look like places of incarceration.....I expect it will get worse before it gets better - unfortunately.
-
50 years here, too, of course.
And yes, unfortunately, I think it's the nature of the beast these days.
-
There was another FB issue this morning.
I could not make an original text-only posting, even on my own website, unless I first uploaded a jpg. Then, it was okay.
I could comment on somebody else's posting, but not initiate my own.
A friend was having the same issue, so I know it wasn't me.
After I sent in a complaint to FB, nothing happened, so I posted a clown image on my page and, within four (4) minutes, the issue was solved.
I guess the image I posted was a "SUPER CLOWN".

Wednesday morning greetings! I've been to a meeting this morning that may result in my taking on a major volunteer project - or not. I have some research to do, along with some thinking...
-
DR Vixmom, I'm glad your cardiology appointment went well and that there's some follow-up taking place.
-
Last night I finished The Cat Who Could Read Backwards. Lillian Jackson Braun has a good handle on Siamese cats.
-
Add me to the 50-year club, high school graduation-wise. Our big dinner celebration will be August 17 in Plymouth, Michigan.
Here's the "campus" where I went to elementary (foreground) and high (background) schools. The buildings are connected and, by the time I returned from the mile-away junior high, the high school had taken over the second floor of the elementary building.

This morning I gave Thatch a sliver of ham ad when he laid it on the floor, it lay flat and he couldn't get an edge on it to take it into his mouth. Then, he pushed it over to the throw rug and with his paw flipped the ham onto the rug. The weave gave him a porous surface that he could use to access the food. Daddy's Boy is one smart kitty.
-
Okay thanks DR ELMORE - so it's something happening to someone else....they will fix it eventually
I blame it on DR CHAS SMITH for starting all of his activity on BookFace yesterday. He broke the inter webs.
It's back up.
-
I posted DR DRUXY's clown, so perhaps mine will be up too....I shall go see.
-
WOW DR GINNY that is a BIG school......
-
DR DRUXY's clown worked....my BookFace is now normal....well....you know what I mean.
-
Our Reunion Dinner is April 20 with the Alumni Banquet on April 21.
AND for the first time since Prohibition in 1919, we will be able to by intoxicating beverages on the Sabbath here in Indiana. The governor is expected to sign the bill today....after 99 years of dry Sundays.
-
Thanks DR ELMORE! And yes animals can find ways to get things done - especially food things!
-
WOW DR GINNY that is a BIG school......
Yes, DR JRand. If the January and June graduating classes had been combined in 1968, there would have been over 1,000. In June, we had 755.

ASK BK (2 Parts)
Are IB Tech prints same as 3 strip technicolor?
When was the IB tech prints phased out?
No, not the same. Three-strip Technicolor was a filming process that involved a very large camera and three separate rolls of film. That was phased out around 1953 or 1954 with Eastman negatives.
IB Tech was a printing process, dye transfer. Films printed in that process were luminous and never faded, unlike Eastman printing, which did up until the introduction of low-fade prints in the late 70s/early 80s. The final two films printed in IB were The Godfather II and Chinatown. After that all the machines were sold to China, save for some in the UK, which continued to print dye transfer until the later 70s - so there are a few IB prints of things like Star Wars that were made in the UK.

Good morning.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.
-
And to state the obvious: Facebook is not "your" website, Druxy. :)
-
Isn't it nice that we don't have to post clowns to post?
-
I LIKE it.
-
And to state the obvious: Facebook is not "your" website, Druxy. :)
Excuse me: "page".

I went to the corner bodega and on my way back I ran into Val. He says that the elevator is essentially finished and tomorrow they will be inspecting it. Jesus, I do hope so!

Our long national nightmare is nearly over! :D

Great photo, DR Ginny, and that looks like a very nice school complex.
-
Just heard from the guy who always oversees my books at Author House - no problems and the book is now in production. I was worried they might have something to say about the photos at the end, but they didn't, and I did solve the song quote thing all by my lonesome. So, that was nice to wake up to. Hopefully I'll see a galley and cover proof by mid next week.

"What I saw today" ... out my bedroom window!

.
-
I may be moving offices again, this time it would be downtown for a few days a week
-
Beautiful, ChasSmith. Just beautiful.

The Groupon email I received today was offering Local Date Night Solutions. One was reduced tickets to the Dallas Holocaust Museum.
I don’t want to go on that date.

That actually is pretty cool, ChasSmith!
-
Coming back from the supermarket just now, I saw him - or another one! - a mile down the next road, walking between a couple of small houses into their small back yards.
I stopped and looked, but there was no one to yell to in order to warn them. I didn't stick around to see what happened next.
-
End of the world, I tell you!

I know you are limited on space but might you have a drawer, or a secured basket, you can drop these in?

VIBES IT PASSES INSPECTION!
-
Nice view DR Chas. Keith saw our bear in Ashland but I never did. At least I saw a couple while out on other hikes.
-
Bruce I guess we are lucky our high school is still beautiful.
-
Wow, Chas! Very exciting!
-
Now that Thatch is blooming as a ninja cat, I may need this T-shirt.
-
Cute shirt.
-
Yes, despite some cosmetic things, the Hamilton High facade remains exactly as it was.
-
Back from the editing room where I saw three options for a fix we had to do - liking none of them completely, I came up with a combo fix that finally worked and he's implementing that now.
-
Then some merde, then I had a chili, cheese, and onion hot dog and a side Caesar salad.
-
Picked up on packages and now I am home and will have a haircut in ten minutes.
-
That darn Annabelle and Thatch, sounding more and more like Furball every day :)
-
I also got the e versions of the book today, but I can't get them up until I get the galley with the copyright page.
-
Elevator vibes for DR ELMORE.
No more merde vibes for MR BK.
-
Tonight at 11:30 p.m. on ME Tv - you can see the best PERRY MASON episode featuring Miss Allison Hayes...."The Case of the Bogus Books."
Just in case you're not doing anything else.
-
That darn Annabelle and Thatch, sounding more and more like Furball every day :)
Yes they are :)
-
Haircut complete.
-
I think tonight Annabelle, Thatch and I will watch the new Criterion release of Tom Jones. I wish they liked popcorn.

What is it Glenn Close said in Fatal Attraction, her most famous line? Someone quote it and put it in all CAPS.

60 mph winds expected Friday!

So Numero Uno is a local pizza place? I'm assuming it's not the same as Pizzeria Uno, which is in lots of cities.
-
When we first went to a Pizzeria Uno we wondered if it was the same. I admit, I confuse the names and completely did not realize there were any Numero Uno's still open.
Pizzerio Uno's makes a nice pizza and I recall a very good broccoli cheddar cheese soup.
Numero Uno's makes, and I am taking Bruce's word that it is just as good, a superior pizza.
-
That's the one, George, that's the one.

Well, it's time to head home.
Be back later!
-
Back to Tom Thumb. I like the puppetoons, as they’re called, and I really like Alan Young. It’s a cute kids flick.
-
I found a copy of The Son of Harold Diddlebock, the Preston Sturges comedy with Harold Lloyd, at the CD Exchange tonight. I haven’t seen it in ages and know it’s not Sturges at his best. But I remember liking parts.
-
Almost time for Allison on MeTV
-
Good night, all.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I've been watching MAIGRET, starring Rowan Atkinson. I loved the series with Michael Gambon. When I look at Atkinson I keep thinking Mr Bean. One of the problems with stars, I've always felt. But it's also interesting to see a different take on the same material. I still prefer Michael Gambon in that role, but I'll continue watching just the same.
-
Feel-better vibes to Jane and Keith and anyone else who needs them.
TTFN.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Netflix will not work - I suspect that all these past three Spectrum going down things has caused the Blu-ray player to somehow lose the connection, but when I go into settings and test it it says it's working. The one time I got on Netflix and was able to test, it also said it was working. So we're all at a loss. She kept trying to get me to unplug modem and router but I don't want to.

Great timing on this. I told my brother I saw an ad for this in case he didn't know about the show. He doesn't plan to watch it. To him Bruno Cremer is Maigret though Gambon was ok.

Thank you. I am still holding. Keith continues to slowly improve. Today he felt well enough to say let's go to Beaches. We did some errands then had an early dinner.
-
Where in tarnation is everyone?
-
We cannot possibly still be on page four.
-
Can we?
-
I guess we can if that number four over there is anything to go by.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Can we really still be on page five?
-
Jane you're the Nook right?
-
I'm watching TV.
-
I can't believe I am hungry after eating more than usual at dinner. I think I want Numero Uno's pizza. Last time I had it my children were fairly young.
-
"Grey's Anatomy."
-
Jane you're the Nook right?
Yes but I can read books with Amazon now. I don't think you did Nook last year.
-
I double checked, Thrill Ride is on my Amazon Kindle app.
-
I have 4 books on my Nook.
-
I have 4 books on my Nook.
Four total, or four of BK's books?
-
The rest of all his books are with my collection of books signed by the authors.
-
I had to switch to reading on a tablet because of my shoulder.
-
Speaking of reading, I have a book to begin. First I need to find a comfortable position.
-
Speaking of discomfort, how are you this evening DR TCB?
-
I have 4 books on my Nook.
Four total, or four of BK's books?
LOL, I must-read the question.
-
I have 18 books on Amazon Kindle, more if I count Keith's books.
-
We did both for Thrill Ride - Nook and Kindle.
-
Around 120 books on my Nook.
-
I think it came out on Kindle first so I read it there not knowing you were going to do Nook as well. Will you be doing both again?
-
Yes, both. The Nook version is actually perfect and needs no changes other than the copyright page being inserted - the Kindle version has to have some fixes done.
-
Good evening.
-
Good evening Tom.
-
Yes, both. The Nook version is actually perfect and needs no changes other than the copyright page being inserted - the Kindle version has to have some fixes done.
I am happy I can read GEE on my Nook.
-
Hi, Jane.
-
Great bear photos.
-
I never think to take photos when I find wildlife by my apartment
-
No bears, however. Those are down the street in the zoo.
-
Mostly I see deer.
-
Sometimes raccoons.
-
And we did have that crazy turkey. That sucker wasn’t afraid of anything or anyone.
-
Page 6
-
Around 120 books on my Nook.
According to Amazon, I've purchased (not counting library OverDrive downloads) 331 Kindle books or short stories!
However, I haven't read all of them...actually, probably not even a quarter of them. ::)
-
But, I have them when l want to. ;)
-
The same as when I collected books and had a huge collection. Now I read most of my books from the library and only keep a few unread purchased eBooks.
