Well, you've read the notes, the notes said Nuuuuuurse, and now it is time for you to post until the nursing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: INVIGILATE!
-
First post after BK!
-
Watching a rerun of Antique Roadshow rather than finish a novel??? I gotta tell you. :)
-
Watching a rerun of Antique Roadshow rather than finish a novel??? I gotta tell you. :)
Said novel has just been finished!
-
And I enjoyed it!
-
And now, to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Good news for me: IRS refund is now in my bank account
Bad news for Annabelle: she's seeing a dentist
-
I need a barber very badly, so today I will make an appointment for tomorrow and pick up my prescription on the way home. I can stat here today, finish a number got Me & My Girl and get on to the next.
-
I need to tidy up this dump. Those kitties keep this place in chaos.
-
First, more coffee!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Coffee!!!
-
Ah, there it is.

Where’s Bette Davis when we need her?
-
I stayed up way too late. Nothing like BK, though. But I still feel like I was run over by a truck and they need to put me back together.
-
I am so pissed at the United Airlines stewardess who let that 10-month old puppy die on a flight from Houston to NYC. The idiot claims she didn't know there was a dog in the carrier when she forced the passengers to put it in an overhead bin yet witnesses claim the puppy barked throughout the flight until it died?
-
Okay, wait. I’m trying to “process” what I’m hearing right now on The Weather Channel.
ANOTHER NOR’EASTER? NEXT WEEK??

Maybe I need to just avoid all news today.

Off to the fun house.

I will be shocked if she isn't fired. I also cannot imagine witnessing that and not rescuing the dog at the risk of getting kicked off the flight.
-
I recall seeing CASH ON DEMAND in a theater when it first was released.
I only saw it the one time, but since I remember it, it must have been quite good.
-
We watched I, TONYA last night.
Excellent film and performances, but I did not like any of the characters.
-
If my e-mail notices are correct, DVDs for THE SHAPE OF WATER and THREE BILLBOARDS will be arriving today.
-
This morning has thus far seen too many bad or irritating news items, and a few weird computer-y things going on.
Has MERCURY got its head up its ass again? Inquiring minds must know.
-
I set tomorrow's barber appointment, put some laundry into the dryers, and I'm off to work.
-
Page 2 Dance!

Wednesday morning greetings! Puttering around the house today, waiting for a text message from the pharmacy that my prescription is ready. This evening I'm going to supper with a young AAUW friend and then to a lecture about the 1960s at the Miami University campus in Hamilton.

I was at Miami for most of the 1960s! I could tell them plenty.

One of the videos on the right side of the page (when I went to it) was this: Mahna Mahna (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N_tupPBtWQ)! This was on Sesame Street and is (if I understand it correctly) the first Muppet version. HERE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKULi72yUko) is the song from The Muppet Show.
:D

Well, this is a bit of good news...Honolulu mayor OKs temporary ban on 'monster' houses (http://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/wireStory/honolulu-mayor-oks-temporary-ban-monster-houses-53738702). Maybe BK would like to move to Honolulu!
-
But then you hear about something like this happening...California teacher accidentally fires gun and injures student (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/california-teacher-accidentally-fires-gun-and-injures-student/ar-BBKbTPI).
:o

I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep. Not a good day right now. Perhaps George would write an Amazon review and cheer me up :) And glad he enjoyed it.

“Junior’s going to be a journalist!”

One of my favorite TV memories is Will Geer (I think on the Tonys show) talk-singing 'Honolulu."
(I remember being amazed that he could sing "high-breasted" on prime time TV!)
-
Page two? Really?
-
Can I go home now?
-
Um, people. Page two? What in tarnation is going on here?
-
One part miracle makes the day better always.

Had Wacky Noodles for my meal o' the day - about six ounces. Haven't left the house and probably won't.

A lot of my fellow crazies will be at the interview with Barbra. I know people coming from Boston, Florida, Connecticut, and The Netherlands! Oh, and, my friend Paul is coming from Fullerton.

Another fun day at the office.
-
Came home to a nice invitation. Some friends are celebrating some milestones (he: 80; she: 76; their 55th anniversary) with a weekend in Houston complete with dinner and dancing. I hope I still fit into my tuxedo.
-
Started to watch Eisenstein's first movie, Strike, but I lost patience for a silent movie. So, now I'm watching a noir called Phantom Lady. Should be fun.

Happy Birthdays and Anniversary to your friends, John!

Well, it's time for me to leave work now. Everyone has left the building and I need to, too, so I will.
Be back later.

Thanks. The weekend isn't until June.
-
Hey, George, can we get this thing off page three before midnight?
-
Page three? Really?
-
Really.
-
I guess George has left the building.
-
Or at least the website.
-
There's a great drum solo in Phantom Lady.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwr1pdKf39U
Enjoy.
-
Hey, it's a post.
-
And it gets us closer to page four.
-
It seems so far.
-
Or close.
-
Four!
-
Page four? Really?
-
A co-worker got selected for a jury panel. He'll be out for a few days.
-
Spreading that joy elsewhere.
-
DR JOHN G didn't PHANTOM LADY leading lady Ella Raines go on to star in FINIAN'S RAINBOW on Broadway.....or am I thinking of someone else....maybe it was Ella Logan.....ugh....chemo brain.
-
DR JANE was 100% correct. We made a site visit to the building where the Class Reunion will be held....and they have a television that can be hooked up to a laptop.....no need to bring my tv....just an hdmi cord.... Gail says she has one, but i will bring my just in case....and go when they set up and test it out.....
-
Ella Logan, right? I had the same thought though
-
It seems a remake of Bedknobs and Broomsticks is coming —to the stage.

-
I need to get some sleep.
-
Good night, all.
-
Gratuitous post No. 100!
-
I hugged Pam when we got there and she smiled but was a bit stand offish.....we weren't FRIENDS exactly in school, but we did know each other.....
Almost two hours later she called me Mr. Blankenship.....she thought I was Gail's husband! HA!!! I said: "Pam! It's me! Jack Earles....I was in the class of '68 with you!"
She said OMG.....I wondered why you were hugging me! So I guess 50 years have taken their toll.
-
Good vibes for MR BK.
-
I thought B/B meme was proven to be a falsehood.....but I could be wrong....
Ella somebody DR JOHN G....maybe Ella Cinders.....
-

I am glad you have a solution to your slideshow dilemma Mr Blankenship
-
Jihn that sounds like a fun bunch of celebrations. Enjoy!
-

The Bedknobs MOVIE meme is bogus. The stage show is coming to Chicago. I've known about it for ages because Richard attended the workshops and such.
-

Finished with my viewing.

Today was not a bad day. They predicted rain, but it was really mostly sunny.
-
Today was the old actors lunch.
-
I really wanted spaghetti and meatballs, but I settled for soup and salad.
-
I ate part of a box of Girl Scout cookies for breakfast, so I thought i had better be good at lunch.
-
I don’t think I have any plans tomorrow, so I guess I will clean the bathroom.
-
It is supposed to be a nice day again.
-
I'm thinking about spaghetti with red sauce for tomorrow, but may end up with tuna sandwiches instead and save pasta for the weekend.
-
They both sound good.
