Well, you've read the notes, the notes were merely notes, and now it is time for you to post until the merely cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CADRE!
-
Raining. My bet is it will rain all night and when I wake up the sun will be out.
-
TCB was a no-show?
-
Very disconcerting.
-
DR George, I am pleased Larry is improved. Vibes he continues to do so.
-
Welcome to Paisley. DR Michael have fun with your 1st puppy experience.
-
Prior to the common practice of crate training our puppies slept on our bed. With crates Craig or I slept on the floor with them.
Sherlock did not like his crate so it wasn't long before he slept on the bed between us.
-
I wish I was sleeping.
-
Good morning to all
-
Good morning, all.
-
Such a cute puppy from DR MICHAEL! Congrats!
-
Good medical news from DR JANE.
-
The July event sounds very exciting MR BK!

Well, we were lucky right here — looks like about three inches — whereas Lawn Guyland got killed. I’m hearing nineteen inches or thereabouts? And vixmom’s pictures tell the tale. Plus, the city itself is unreal, man. We haven’t seen this in a while.

Good morning, all!

DR Michael Shayne, Paisley is adorable. I never thought about this when I was a teenager with pets, but I now can advise you that your housekeeping will change as you find things you love chewed or lost, garbage overturned, and messes to be cleaned up. Every day I have at least one moment where I think, those damned cats before I clean up - or pick up - whatever mess they've made and then spend much of my time petting them, playing with them, and finding new ways to amuse or spoil them.

Yes, plus Auntie Mame and Gypsy.

The babies had duck for breakfast, and they're bird watching.

Another At-Home Day. Back to Me and My Girl. I had an interesting talk with my good friend Bruce Pomahac, who was just in the City helping with the My Fair Lady scores for Lincoln Center revival, which he says is really good.
-
DR Ginny, did you see that Ron Fetzer died? He was such a good man and good friend.
-
Today is Stephen Sondheim's 88th birthday.
-
BACK -- from all the work out there I'm doing today, and I don't care who knows it. It wasn't difficult, just supremely aggravating, frustrating, annoying, and a few other ings. And it wasn't even three inches, I'd say two, tops.
(Sorry, vixmom!!) :)
But the nice plow man plowed, I snowblew, and that's it. All done. D.U.N. At nine in the a.m. it's all passable -- and Mother Nature, bless her black little heart, can take care of the rest.
-
Good morning.
-
I am so happy to see that HHW has a new puppy! We need daily puppy reports for the next year. After that, we need dog reports.
-
Dang, this getting up every morning, going downtown, and acting busy ... it is too much like work! And I don't do that kind of thing.
-
Off for my adventure.
-
Happy birthday to BK’s and Elmore’s close personal friend, Stephen Sondheim.
-
Thursday morning greetings! It's clear and sunny here today and our upstairs neighbors are on their way home! Mary Linda texted about half an hour ago that they were about to board a plane.
-
Good morning from San Francisco! My flight finally left about an hour and 45 minutes late. Not too bad.
-
Thanks for the travel vibes.
-
Such a cute puppy, DR Michael!
-
It's a rainy day in Northern California.
-
DR Ginny, did you see that Ron Fetzer died? He was such a good man and good friend.
I did, DR Elmore. He was part of the MUM 90th anniversary celebration and was not well then.

I spoke to Annabelle's vet. I will take her in tomorrow morning for a pre-anesthetic blood draw. Then I can schedule her dental work after that.
-
Time to get ready to get my arse out of here and to an Act 2 Addams Family reading.
-
DR George, I am pleased Larry is improved. Vibes he continues to do so.
Thanks, Jane!

A Very Happy Birthday to BK's Close and Personal Friend Stephen Sondheim!! :D

And a Very Happy Birthday to Andrew Lloyd Webber!! :D

Good medical news from DR JANE.
Thanks.
It's funny, to me anyway, I only commented because I was happy not to have to return to have something cut out or butane sprayed, not for the medical reason.
The first time I began having possible skin cancer spots sprayed off I was 32. It is difficult to guess since then how many spots I have had to remove. I loved swimming, sports, and simply being out in the sun too much as a child.
-
DR Ginny, did you see that Ron Fetzer died? He was such a good man and good friend.
I am sorry for your loss, and glad you have your entertaining kitties to comfort you.

Well, I just got a call from the auto shop and they said that the problems with my temperature gauge were because the thermostat needed to be replaced. It'll be another couple of hundred bucks, but THAT should fix this problem! ::)
-
I didn't ask when they called to tell me this, (I will when I pick it up), but I wonder if the temp gauge even needed to be replaced in the first place. :-\ Hopefully, it did and I spent the original $360+ for a good reason.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven hours of sleep.
-
I did hear some rain throughout the overnight, but HUGE I don't know about and certainly it's barely drizzling right now.
-

Try asking for a discount since that didn't solve the problem.
-
DR FJL, I have been trying to solve the problem of how to be in Belview on your original date of June 22nd, which I realize may change.
Keith's cousin is having a Bar Mitzvah in Ann Arbor on June 23rd and we are coordinating a trip to see a whole group of his cousins along with stops to see our boys.
-
The iron is hot and I have an unusually large amount of ironing to do.

Well, they called to update me and I asked and it turns out that the temp gauge really did need to be replaced anyway. If they had just known about the thermostat, they would've tested things and found that the temp gauge wasn't working and would've called asking to replace that as well, so it all needed to be done. And it is being done. :)

HIS GIRL FRIDAY
-
Rob and Mary Linda are home!
-
Last night, we watched OSCAR WILDE with Robert Morley.
Since it was released in 1960, the filmmakers had to dance around the subject matter, but I thought the picture was quite good. Morley and Ralph Richardson, who played the prosecuting attorney, were superb.

Great. It is very upsetting to pay for something that didn't need doing. It has happened to me before and I did get them to change by bill.

Rob and Mary Linda are home!
Excellent. Is Rob going to work?
-
Rob and Mary Linda are home!
Well, they have quite an adventure to tell their children.
-
Softcover of GEE has arrived and looks splendid. Hardcover tomorrow. These both came from Amazon - I've seen squat from the publisher and I just left another strong message. The order went in on Monday and they were supposed to overnight me the book.
-

Yes. They ate and he’s napping now.

Someday we’ll hear about their time in Paris, but right now it’s kind of overshadowed by their unexpected stay in Philadelphia.

Glad Rob & Linda made it home.

Even though I have to wait to read GEE, I am extremely happy I can do so on my tablet. Last night was horrible with the hardcover.
-
I just called and refilled Thatch's prescription, which will be delivered tomorrow afternoon.
-
Back from the ADDAMS rehearsal, and on to a (hopefully) peaceful evening and a halfway decent night of sleep, because...
I have to get up at 5:00 am to meet my people and get into NYC for their annual auditions at Pearl Studios. They're doing SHE LOVES ME this summer.
It's a fun day, for the most part. But it gets followed by an evening of LES MISERABLES at a local high school which I absolutely must go and sit through in support of my friends the director and music director. (Oy!) :)
So, if you don't see me here tomorrow morning...
-
Have a good day and don't fall asleep during Les Miserables ;)
-
Even though I have to wait to read GEE, I am extremely happy I can do so on my tablet. Last night was horrible with the hardcover.
And how long is this waiting supposed to be exactly? You are, you know, in charge of what you read and when.
-
Traditionally if schools have too many snow days they tack a couple of days on to the end of the school calendar. Apparently in Maryland, for some strange reason, the governor mandated all school districts must end by June 15th. Craig is not happy about these 2 days off of work since they have to made up at sometime. He is concerned there will only be 3 days of Spring Break.
I would be an angry parent if my vacation plans were ruined.

Monday night, after my book discussion group meets. If I continue to read only 42 pages a day on this book I will never finish it by Monday.
-
Last night I was very frustrated wasting a perfectly good night of not sleeping by not reading. The book was simply too uncomfortable to read in bed. I did finally get up and read on the couch for awhile.

Having to end school by a very specific date is the weirdest thing. :o I wonder what reasoning went into that decision.

This was after I shoveled the walk ( the snowblower doesn't fit through the gate) I am not measuring the side where I threw the snow, thus is the untouched side....not a drift, actual snowfall

And Gypsy Rose Lee, right? Or was that the sequel?

And thank you George and Jack for posting them for me

The interesting thing is that the town was so well prepared that the roads were pristine once you could get out of your driveway
-
I actually got to work in less time than usual
-
Welcome home Rob and Linda

Michael Shayne that is one cute puppy!

I wonder if there will be any sparkling surprises with my copy of Gee...

Good evening.

There seem to be a lot of invisible people in downtown Phoenix.

I know. Someone wanted it and the governor gave them what they wanted.

Kudos to the town.

Yes and no, depends on the age of the student...??

DR Laura do you plan to explain your statement ;D

Lots of people are talking to invisible people. There seem to be a lot of them.
-
LOL, I get it now.
-
Yes DR JOHN G - Miss Gypsy Rose Lee - $5 for leotards!

There seem to be a lot of invisible people in downtown Phoenix.
Could you elaborate on that statement? I am intrigued

You're welcome, Vixmom!
-
I wonder if there will be any sparkling surprises with my copy of Gee...
Actually, Vixmom, the title is GEE. You'll have to read it to find out why...unless you already know.
;D
-
I figured it best not to wait until tonight to read. I read like normal people, sitting in a chair and managed another 51 pages.
-
PAGE FIVE GEE DANCE!!
-
And on that note (G...naturally ;) ), I'm outta here.
Be back later.

Nope I am staying away from reviews etc until I read it myself

Where has this day gone? It was to be a happy day, to be sure. The grass was going to get cut (and it did get cut), and my new glider was going to be delivered (and it was delivered), and I was going to rearrange some things so that the glider would be in a perfect position (and needless to say but say it I will, It was done).
I fixed my mom and me some spaghetti for supper and surprised her with garlic toast. All was yummy. Thanks to NCAA basketball, we watched last night's "Criminal Minds" off the DVR and then watched "Midsomer Murders" on NetFlix.
Tomorrow is another day. Yes, you read it here. Friday is another day. Will it be a catfish and grits day or a shrimp and grits day? I'm rather hoping for the latter because I have a yen for caramel cake which Juniper's (the shrimp and grits place) always seems to feature as a dessert item.
I hope everyone's Thursday was wonderful, and it's pleasing to realize BK has no need of an ark (yet).
-
I have tomorrow off. So I am enjoying a glass of wine. Or two.
-

Have a nice sip for me, as well.
-
Another 11-hour workday. Oh joy. This will likely go on for several more weeks.
-
Watched another half-hour of Faces Places. I'm loving this movie. I don't have the patience right now for a full 90 minutes of watching subtitles, so I'm taking it a half-hour at a time. I think it's making me focus more on these incredible works of art and the visuals that fill the film.
-
Tomorrow I have to leave work early to usher for the symphony. Nadia Salerno-Sonnenberg is playing the Four Seasons and then conducting the rest of the program, which I think includes the Carmen Suite (second time I'll have heard that this season).
-
I think that's about it for me. Good night, all.

We watched the DARKEST HOUR.

Good evening
-
Crazy weather here in the Northwest.
-
Time to switch to my book and flashlight.
-
Hi Tom. How are you?
-
Hi, Jane.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Tomorrow’s weather forecast calls for rain, hail, thunder, lightening, and possibly snow.
-
Hi, Jane. Ok.
-
Hi, George.
-
Adorable puppy, Michael.
-
Nice photos, vixmom.
-
I wish we could have had a snowstorm like that.
-
Hi, Jane. Ok.
I will take OK. What about Nicky?
-
About the same.
-
Tomorrow I hope you are both better than ok.
-
Back to my book.
-
SIX!!
-
Tomorrow night, I'm ushering for Harlequin Productions' production of "The Art of Racing in the Rain (https://olyarts.org/2018/03/02/theater-review-the-art-of-racing-in-the-rain/)."
-
The HUGE rainstorm was nothing, absolutely nothing. Once again a big thanks to the weather service who never seem to get it right.
-
Last week, this article was published in the Seattle Times about playwright Israel Horovitz when his plays were produced at Harlequin:
Women claimed famed playwright Israel Horovitz harassed them at an Olympia theater — but they were brushed off (https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/famed-east-coast-playwright-accused-of-sexual-harassment-at-olympia-theater/).
-
Then this past weekend, a local on-line magazine published this article:
HARLEQUIN PRODUCTIONS APOLOGIZES FOR PAST MISSTEPS, PROMISES A SAFER ENVIRONMENT (https://olyarts.org/2018/03/18/harlequinupdate/).
-
It was updated yesterday, saying that Harlequin co-founder and Managing Artistic Director Scot Whitney has resigned. His wife directed the play I'm ushering for tomorrow.
-
Wow. Good bye, Scott.
-
George, are you going to go see JESUS CHRIST, SUPERSTAR?
-
Wow. Good bye, Scott.
Yup.
-
George, are you going to go see JESUS CHRIST, SUPERSTAR?
I kind of want to, but I don't know if I'll have time. I can't this weekend.
-
You busy next Friday? You can have the ticket next to me.
-
You busy next Friday? You can have the ticket next to me.
I don't think I have anything next Friday. I'll check when I get to work. Thanks, Tom!
-
Well, I need to get to sleep. I need to leave work early to usher, so I want to try to get to work early.
-
I also need to run an errand at lunch time, so that adds to me wanting to get to work early.
-
Good night, and have a good day, all!
