Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a meal, and now it is time for you to post until the lovely cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GENETHLIAC!
-
First post after BK!
-
Topic of the day: not a fan of steak. :P
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I have to be at my doctor's at 8:00 this morning, so I got out of bed at 6:00. I will leave here around 7:30
-
The cats are fed and I am on my first cuppa coffee. Before I leave, I will empty the litter and make the bed.
-
Anthony Morelli is coming by at 11:00 to pick up two cassettes that he will convert to mp3 files for me. They are WBAI Radio broadcasts from 1981-82 of "Just Good Friends," the cabaret act I was oart of at the time.
-
At some time today I need to look for a birthday gift and pick up a load of Italian bread for a party tonight/
-
DR Laura, I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's death.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I am up a little early because I made an appointment at the car place where I will get the following done:
Emissions test
Oil change
Tire change -- from snow tires to regular
Yes, folks, I am the one calling the shots on the change of seasons this week. When I remove my snow tires, it is OVER.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Hugs for DR Laura.
-
Sloppy and Lurid — the name of my next novel.
-
I grill steaks that taste better than I can get at chain steakhouses. Costco and McCormick’s Montreal Steak seasoning are the secrets.
-
I don’t wanna go to work today. But I gotta.
-
Annnnnd...
Greetings from the car place.
-
There’s a Sausage & Egg McMuffin in my belly, and I don’t care who knows it.
-
A follow-up one later would be really nice, too. Don’t you think?
-
More coffee!
-
T.O.D.
I've had many great steak dinners.
Most of them have been prepared by my dear wife.
-
Monday morning greetings! I'll be E & T during the midday today, attending Ron Fetzer's memorial service with my friend Margie. He was her stagecraft teacher in high school and was the technical director of the auditorium at the Miami campus here in Middletown.
-
TOD - another vote for home-cooked steak dinners. I like to go to a premium butcher (Zink's or Seeger's/Kelly's) around here and get beef tenderloins sliced about 3/4" thick. Wrap bacon around the perimeter, secure with toothpicks, and broil to medium/medium well. Serve with a baked potato and green vegetable or salad and you have a meal that would cost 4 times as much in a restaurant.
-
Good morning.
-
Thank you all for the condolences. Truly, this is a case where it was for the best. We haven been mourning the loss of who she was for several years.
-
You know how every church has a leader -- no matter who the official minister is. Ours has declined with dementia over the last few years and had to move into a memory care facility last week. She is adjusting well and is happy. But it is very difficult for her husband and sons to have to make that decision.
-
So ... everyone -- enjoy the health you have and do what steps you can to keep it!
-
Now I am off to lose a few more IQ points by listening to more drivel.
-

Please give everyone my condolences and unhappiness at not being there. Ron was essential in getting me to work with Campus Community Players, and he and Jan were great friends in the 1970s. If you see Jan, tell her I send my love.
-
And I am home from doctor and Trader Joe. I just had a Trader Joe morning glory muffin. Very deelish.
-
My doctor was happy with my test results so I'm happy.

When is the legal date? We learned not to wait until then or the lines at the tire shop were very long.

So true.
-
My doctor was happy with my test results so I'm happy.
Excellent.
-
And I am home from the car place, nicely unscathed this time.
Oil change, tires changed, new wiper blades, emissions test: $110.06. Thank you, goddesses.
-
And emissions test, not bad.
-
CT emissions tests are a flat $20 regardless of where you get it done.
-
I just finished the book, "The Woman Who Smashed Codes", for my book discussion this afternoon. It was very interesting.
-
J. Edgar Hoover was a horrible man and a thief. That statement probably doesn't surprise anyone ;D
-
I think he might be one of the more fascinating horrible men of the twentieth century.
-
Not that he didn't have plenty of company.
-
Growing up we had an indoor grill in our dining room that was on the backside of the fireplace. Everything cooked on it was delicious. I am sure I had steaks in restaurants that were equally good but I can't recall any that were better.
I never craved steaks and never missed them when I stopped eating meat.
-
I'm on my third cup of coffee as I polish off the Entenmann's "Louisiana Crunch Cake".
Just keeping you all informed.
-
I think he might be one of the more fascinating horrible men of the twentieth century.
I think I had enough of his bad deeds in this book for awhile 😊
-
Not that he didn't have plenty of company.
😃
-
Guess I should get up. I am curious if Keith knows who called at 5:50 this morning and woke us up >:( He got up to answer the phone while my brain was still regeristing reality vs a dream.
-
TOD:
I've never been a fan of steak - it's always too tough for me. If I'm going to eat a slab of beef, it has to be prime rib because it's the most tender. I can't say where I've eaten the best prime rib - it's all kind of been the same.
As a treat for Mark, we once went to a Ruth's Chris Steak House, where I ordered a piece of fish. It was cut very thick and seasoned exactly like how you would season a steak, thereby ruining the fish - stupid.
-
I like that sentiment DR LAURA....more now than ever!
-
I like steaks.....lots of good ones at home and visiting....I had one in Baltimore that was very good, but I don't remember the name of the restaurant.....hmmmm.
-
Anti-drivel vibes for DR Laura.
-
Is it Friday yet?
-
Would someone deliver a steak to my office? Please.
-
I said please.
-
And I tried to make it seem like I meant it.
-
The early morning call was from a friend. We have been playing phone tag and I hoped it wasn't her. She was not aware of the 3 hour time difference. I have kind of gotten through to her, at her rehab room, but we keep getting disconnected.
-
My friend is having a terrible time holding a conversation and is unhappy where she is :(
-
J. Edgar Hoover was a horrible man and a thief. That statement probably doesn't surprise anyone ;D
And he still couldn’t wrangle an invite to the Black and White Ball.
-
Good morning/afternoon!
-
This is the last day of my trip. I'm in Las Vegas to celebrate my friend Paul's birthday. We saw Ricky Martin last night. He puts on a good show. It's not exactly my type of music, but I enjoyed it.
-
Page 3!
-
I'm sorry about your friend Pam, DR elmore.
-
I'm sorry I missed Grand Hotel. I never saw the original, but I did see a production in London. The Encores production sounds like it was great.
-
Nice photo of DRs vixmom, elmore and ChasSmith!
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.
-
The new Blue Bell ice cream flavor seems to have been created with me in mind: Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough.

I'll send you an email and then snail mail you the bulletin from the service. It was very nice - totally planned by Ron himself.

I should hope not, and by then I don't think it was a secret he was a horrible man. During WWll when he stole credit from the Coast Guard, Elizebeth Friedman, and all the code breakers there I don't think the word was out yet.
-

Certainly not with me in mind ;)
-
I just blew off having a meeting with my director friend this evening. It's always a dinner meeting, always enjoyable, but the past several days have been beyond my normal range of crazy and I need an evening off. We'll do it next week.
-
Probably sit back on my bloomin' arse and watch something enjoyable. Maybe one of the Twilight Times that came today: Underworld U.S.A. or The Seven-Ups.
-
I don’t wanna go to work today. But I gotta.
Don't you hate it when that happens?
;)
-
My doctor was happy with my test results so I'm happy.
Congrats, Larry!

I've never had snow tires. Granted, where I've lived for the last 40 years is pretty much mostly flat, so it's not really much of an issue, but even while living in Bellingham, I never felt the need to get them. And I didn't wand the added expense...or have to store them during the rest of the year. :D
-
Annabelle's blood tests were good, too, so she's seeing the dentist on April 10.
-
Good medical and vetical news from DR ELMORE.
-
I like my steaks well done.....no RED or PINK!!! So sometimes I have to wait awhile before mine is ready.....

Good medical and vetical news from DR ELMORE.
Yup :)
-
DR George did you respond to my question regarding Deception? If so I can't find the answer. Shall we go ahead and watch beginning with the 3rd show or wait until we can catch the first two episodes before watching?
-
And another team member gone. Not a great day.
-

I'm not watching that show, so I don't know if you can jump in. I think Tom was the one who mentioned it.
-
And another team member gone. Not a great day.
Oh, no. :(
-
Oh my DR JOHN G....Mondays are the days for that, they say.
-
Tonight I shall watch The Resident and The Good Doctor - I sort of like both of them, although I look away during some of the surgery scenes.

Thank you.
DR TCB what is your opinion?
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Hi Jeanne.
-
I spent almost two hours at the T-Mobile store again today, after another two hours a week or so ago, trying to get my phone straightened out. I don't know what caused the problem in the first place, but I think it's fixed now. I certainly hope so. The people there really were trying their best. It was never one of my ambitions to become an iPhone expert, but it would behoove me to learn more about them.
-
Hi, Jane.
-
Good medical and vetical news from DR ELMORE.
Ditto. Glad to hear all tests had good results.
-
And I am home from the car place, nicely unscathed this time.
Oil change, tires changed, new wiper blades, emissions test: $110.06. Thank you, goddesses.
I think you did very well. My car will need an oil change soon and I'd be very happy with what you were charged.
-
Page four? Really?
-
A bit of a rough rehearsal, but we got through everything and Wednesday will be much smoother.
-
DR Jeanne, super vibes your phone issue is solved!
-
Then Dan Miller and daughter Hadley and I went to Marie Callender's where I tried their version of carbonara with chicken and shrimp. It was fair only and I left about a third of it behind. That plus the stale cornbread means I'm probably done there.
-
Vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
Thanks, Jane.
-
Good evening.
-
A few more IQ points gone.
-
I hope no one there can read shorthand. Because I have been writing a lot.
-
What kind of booze can I get you, Honey Laura?
-
Back to Professor Marston. Most of this is fiction, from what I understand. But, hey, if you're into kinky, this certainly fills the bill.

:o
-
And on that note (F#), I'm outta here. I shoulda been outta here a half hour ago, but I didn't leave...but I'm leaving now.
Be back later!
-
I forgot to charge my iPad so I'm on my phone
-
Pretty all around lousy day at work

Vixdad and I ended up arriving home at the same time
-
We had roast chicken last night and still.had 3/4 left so we had that for dinner
-
I love steak
-
Medium rare
-
Nice and juicy and so perfectly seasoned that you need nothing to enjoy it but a knife and fork
-
Best steak ever was probably right after Vixdad and I got engaged , we went to a lovely little restaurant , which unfortunately no longer exists, named The Frog and the Peach and we had steak Diane made at tableside
-
I'm up, I'm up - oh, wait...
-
Still?
-
Even now?
-
Page five? Really?
-
Listening to the sonata for clarinet and piano by Saint-Saens - lovely piece. Heard it on the radio last night and found it on the Tube of You.
-
I've written half the Kritzerland commentary. Will try to finish it this evening.
-
Sorry too tired to post. Good night
-
As it is Monday I began reading a good book.
-
This has been a non-stop day for the likes of me.
-
Jane, YAY!!!
-
After I wrote the first half of the commentary I realized I had to ready the two new releases for announcing tonight at midnight. So, that took quite a while. Now I'm listening to Saint-Saens and working on the rest of the commentary.
-
Jane, YAY!!!
I am enjoying it very much.

Well, this is interesting...McConnell wants hemp removed from controlled substance list (https://www.yahoo.com/amphtml/finance/news/mcconnell-wants-hemp-removed-controlled-substance-list-154706272.html).
-
Good evening.
-
Not anything to report.
-
I spent a large part of the day in my room.
-
Tomorrow I am having brunch at 11:00 it’s my friend, Betzy.
-
Spell check really didn’t want my spelling of Betzy to be allowed...

I want something sweet to eat.

I have some on my dining room table! They're not opened, though. I think that I'll need to rectify that tomorrow. :D
