Well, you've read the notes, the notes were happy, Aprilesque, foolish, Easteresque, and Passoveresque, and now it is time for you to post until the happy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HILARITY!
-
First post after BK!

~~~Break Legs Vibes for Tonight's Kritzerland Show!!~~~
-
My car insurance expired yesterday, but it's automatically renewed, so I'm still covered, but I just need to print out the proof to keep in my car.
-
And property taxes are due at the end of April.
-
Just had to share. ;)
-
Today, my family is having our weekly family dinner at my parents' house. We aren't religious (except for my dad), so it'll be the usual secular get-together...except maybe with more chocolate than usual.
:D
-
And now, to bed.
Happy Easter and have a good day, all!
-
Happy Easter, all!
-
~~~Break Legs Vibes for Tonight's Kritzerland Show!!~~~
Ditto!
-
And good morning, all!
-
I awoke around 6:30 to the sounds of Thatch's little high-pitched voice and rustling window blinds. I think he's summoning the birds.
-
And, sure enough, when I went to the window to feed them, they were waiting for me. They had bread crumbs. sunflower seeds, and a fruit & nut mix this morning. The babies had salmon, and then I gave Annabelle her Clavamox. I don't honestly think she needs it since I think her problem was the dust and schmutz in Jaymie's apartment wreckage rather than a respiratory infection. I'll go ahead and use the rest of the bottle. In case.
-
So, Annabelle asked me, Easter is the day Jesus rises from the tomb, and if he sees his shadow we get six more weeks of winter?
-
I’ll pass over that and say
Good morning, all.
-
Glad Annabelle is doing well.
I made a rhyme!
-
Vibes for a great Kritzerland show tonight!

Glad Annabelle is doing well.
I made a rhyme!
I have a hunch she's pleased as punch.
-
Good morning! Happy Easter! Happy Passover!

Thanks for the link to that article about Lucie Arnaz, DR JohnG.

Today is Justin's fifth birthday. When he was a baby, so psycho(s) doused him with an accelerant and set him on fire. Luckily he was rescued, treated, and grew into a beautiful cat.
-
Thanks for the link to that article about Lucie Arnaz, DR JohnG.
Yes, thanks for that link, JohnG! I'd have missed the article otherwise. It gives answers to a number of things I'd wondered over the years
-
Fred, as I was getting lost last night in a section of town I rarely visit, I can to an intersection with Viva Max Drive. It was too dark to get a photo. Maybe Monday
-
After I cleaned out the litter, Annabelle and I made our patrol. She almost went up to five, but we stopped on the landing between five and four. Thatch is itching to come with us, but he will not pass the door into the hall. Annabelle came up to him and he reached his paw beyond the door to put her face but he will not budge further. She even tried to lure him out by pacing the hall in his view. As soon as I close the door and we amble away, he cries loudly until we return.
Like his experience when I first opened the cage door, he's proceeding very cautiously and not leaving his safety zone.

JohnG, is "Viva Max Drive" named for the movie or novel? Or did the expression possibly predate the movie (and that's where the title for the novel came from)?
(Jim Lehrer went to Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio.)

Wishing BK a great show!

I got up at 5:45 a.m. I showered. I shaved. I dressed.
At 7 a.m., I attended a Sunrise Service at the Johnston First Baptist Church.
At 8 a.m., I had breakfast with all the service attendees.
At 9:10 a.m., I sat in my chair and took a nap.
Am going to lunch at Noon.

TOD from yesterday:
"Noone" instead of "No one". Can't people just look at that after they've typed it and see that's Peter Noone's last name?
"Alot" vs. "a lot"
"Loose" when they really mean "Lose"
I have a co-worker who always types "donot" instead of "do not" and it makes me hungry for doughnuts.
-
I was a church before 8 to be sure we were all set for the 8:45 start time (usually 9 am).
-
It was a beautiful service, string, bell and brass choirs ech did a gym, the. The full adult choir sang the entrance hymn as we communion assistants and assisting ministers , Deacons, and the Pastors and Acolytes processed in

I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.

Easter Sunday afternoon greetings! Fr. Richard and I sat together in church this morning, something we hadn't done on Easter for 10 or 12 years or so. It was nice.
-
The ham and cheesy potatoes are in the oven, the green beans are simmering on the stove, the green Jello eggs are plated, and I have about an hour to myself before the final meal prep and the arrival of our guests from Cincinnati.
-
No bunnies have come to my door.
-
I have found no hidden eggs.
-
The eBay person has not accepted my very reasonable counteroffer of close to forty percent off the asking price. They only have another day to do so. Games.
-
My suspicion is it may be a dealer and the hundred dollar difference may preclude him/her from quadrupling their investment.
-
No matzo in the house.
-
No chopped liver or bitter herbs.
-
But Fools? We've got Fools galore.

My friend Paula, a Presbyterian, is married to a man who is Jewish. She posted pictures yesterday on Facebook of her preparations for EastOver.

I started to read the Lucie article, but it turned into choas and the article eventually disappeared and an advertising page showed up, and I couldn't get out of it.....so I didn't get to read it....
I am not sure how I feel about Sorkin doing a movie about Lucy and Desi and Cate Blanchett starring....but we shall see.
I have a bad feeling about this.

Annabelle is overcoming her fear of the elevator/ She rode down to the basement with me when I took own the recyclables. Thatch sat at the door and cried.

Hello, everyone.

HAPPY EASTER.

HAPPY PASSOVER.

HAPPY SUNDAY.

Have you tried taking him along, but in the carrier? He might feel protected.

I have found no hidden eggs.
But did you look?
-
Did you leave a carrot on your doorstep?
-
I have no news.

I wonder about Cate Blanchett as Lucy.

During the East Coast snow storm I mentioned Craig's spring break would only be a few days since snow days could not be added to the end of the school year after June 15th. I found out why the governor made the change, to keep his friends in Ocean City happy as they wanted a longer summer to extend the tourist season.
It seems many folks are not happy about the difficulties caused with the extra snow dates this year. The state legislature passed a bill which would allow school districts to extend the school calendar to June 20 to accommodate lost instructional days due to inclement weather. The Governor has said he will sign it ;D
-
I shall shortly be on my way to The Federal for sound check and show.
-
Good afternoon.
-
Busy morning, busy day.
-
I taught the preschool Sunday School class today, as the teacher is out of town. It has been a long time since I have been with a class of little ones.
-
I set up the meeting space for my group that meets the first Tuesday of the month. I arranged for someone to pick up my hosting partner at her bus stop and zip her to the church so she can begin setting out the refreshments. It will be very tight that evening, but I think it will work out. This is the firs time we have asked for help.
-
Also, one young lady announced the upcoming arrival of their Baby Number 4. I didn't say anything. I am waiting for my son and daughter-in-law to make their announcement.
-
I hope you taught them good DR LAURA.
Sometimes when I was signing, if I didn't like the sermon, I made up my own as I went along.....everything was fine until one mother asked her little girl if she understood what the speaker was talking about.....
-
Today I am baking the refreshments that we will serve on Tuesday. One loaf of banana bread is in the oven; the mini zucchini chocolate cakes will go in next.
-
Notice how my thoughts are all over the place. That is because my brain cracked sometime during the last week with all the stupidity I have listened to.

Cracked Brain Syndrome is well known in these here parts for sure.

I'm back from dinner at my friends' house. It was quite was lively with two babies and a jealous dog.

When you make your announcement it will be extra special.

Are you done?
-
I have been looking for a rain jacket. The other day I purchased one and headed out to test it since it has been pouring here. By the time I changed my clothes and got out there it was only raining, not pouring. If I am going to return it I need to do so on Tuesday morning.

Done rambling? No. I probably have permanent damage.

Any one else watching JSC superstar?
-
I recorded it and caught the end after getting home from Mom's so watching the beginning now. What did you think, Vixmom?

The performing space looks really cool; I'd never heard of the Marcy Armory before.

It was ok...but I wasnt blown away

Happy Easter, Passover, April Fools and Iranian New Year!
-
But the live shown was handled much better than A Christmas Story was, no idiot MC leaping in every 3 seconds to make sure he destroyed every last bit of suspension of belief and immersion in the show

I would have been ready for a nap by then :)
I had a nap between church and lunch. I then napped one hour until my aunt and a friend came over and we played 3 1/2 hours of SkipBo.
This evening, I wrote my checks for the IRS and South Carolina Department of Revenue, printed envelopes and prepped all for mailing in the morning.
Today, I also won some items in an auction at emovieposter.com. One of them was a major find and acquisition for me. I paid dearly, but I love the item dearly, so it's all worthwhile.
-
Might be better watching a recorded version and skipping through the breaks
-
Does anyone here Tweet?
That Billy Baldwin is SUCH a cut-up. He posted that Trump announced he would be resigning.
April Fool...the news, not the tweet.
-
Might I just say here and now how very lovely I find it to see our dear RLP and Edi here tonight
-

I would imagine the answer nowadays would be all of the above.

April Fool...the news, not the tweet.
Someone posted on FB that T reversed his option on the wall and decided the money would be better spent on education ...alas another 'joke'

Any one else watching JSC superstar?
Nope. I'm watching the original Great Expectations.
-
"Steven Bochco, Innovative Co-Creator of ‘NYPD Blue,’ ‘Hill Street Blues,’ Dies at 74"
Sad. I loved a lot of his work.
-
Dinner at the inlaws ended around 7... My ham and mushrooms were marvelous (if I do say so myself, and I beli e I just did)
-
My SILs Brussels sprouts were pretty darn good and my moms cauliflower casserole was outstanding
-
The clams and lamb made a fine impression on my tummy. I'm happy for the evening.
-
Also on the menu, ,sweet potato patties, green bean casserole ( I do not partake),mashed potatoes ( also skipped) , corn in butter sauce, stuffing,gravy, roasted turkey breast
-
Dessert was a chocolate layer cake with whipped cream icing, chocolate dipped strawberries, apple pie , chocolate pudding and vanilla ice cream
-
I made chocolate peanut butter pie and brought a pound cake from my friends' French bakery. We had fruit salad, ham, I brought some of Mary B's biscuits and mini quiches, and we had green beans, corn casserole and potato casserole. Carb city! I didn't have breakfast and ate moderately but still feel so stuffed. Just not used to eating that kind of food!
-
I tuned in @ Alice Cooper's turn. Wasn't blown away by what I heard but the technical direction is well-done, I think.
-
Impressions so far...like the choreography, Judas is good but not super impressed with John Legend. I guess I feel like the performers are good musicians but aren't bringing much dramatically to the role. I like Annas better than Caiaphas. Simon is good. Costumes are kind of all over the place...there's lots of howling, not sure if it's coming from the audience or the cast but sometimes it drowns out the performers.
I think my favorite version was the one from '99 which aired on Great Performances.
-
Did they hire actors to perform this show?
-
Boy, you have to have a lot of confidence to have called yourself "John Legend." (or is that his birth name?)
-
Five!
-
Good night, all
-
We had hash browns for lunch. Then I baked all afternoon and didn't eat any of it.
I made a banana bread, 14 mini chocolate zucchini loaves, a pan of blondies, two dozen bird nest cookies, and eight dozen chocolate chip cookies. I hope that is enough. Also, two kinds of salsa for the chips.
-
I made some green sauce out of the tomatillos I got in my produce box yesterday. I have no idea if it is good. I guess the people will tell me.
-
"Steven Bochco, Innovative Co-Creator of ‘NYPD Blue,’ ‘Hill Street Blues,’ Dies at 74"
I'd read that earlier when I was at my parents'. :(
-
I'm home and watching JCSS. I'm starting from the beginning, but spoilers are okay.
-
;)
-
I recorded it and caught the end after getting home from Mom's so watching the beginning now. What did you think, Vixmom?
Hi, Edisaurus!
-
Sorry I missed you.
-
Boy, you have to have a lot of confidence to have called yourself "John Legend." (or is that his birth name?)
According to his IMDb bio (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1775466/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm), his birth name was John Roger Stephens.
-

;D No, done with jury duty but I know now that you must continue suffering.

Happy Easter, Passover, April Fools and Iranian New Year!
Hi Edi. I didn't know today is the Iranian New Year.
-
I got up at 5:45 a.m. I showered. I shaved. I dressed.

Will you be able to see them while sitting in your new glider?

Might I just say here and now how very lovely I find it to see our dear RLP and Edi here tonight
Yes it is.

Does anyone here Tweet?
That Billy Baldwin is SUCH a cut-up. He posted that Trump announced he would be resigning.
April Fool...the news, not the tweet.
I have trouble imaging anyone fell for this, but then you never know.
At work one April Fool's Day our boss dropped a fairly large fake black spider on someone's desk. All day it showed up in various places. I was the only person who didn't scream, including the person who began the joke when I tricked her back with it.
-
I don't believe I have had a sweet potato patty. It sounds good.
-
Alice Cooper has arrived.
-
...at least this is where I am in the broadcast.
-
His performance is rather sedate. Not bad, just not very big.
-
Back from a really fun Kritzerland show. Lighter than usual audience for all the reasons you know - it didn't help that a couple of paid people were no-shows - but we were close to fifty and they were boisterous and I and the cast had a ton of fun with them.
-
Went to Little Toni's after and that was fun, too.
-
Best Offer person still hasn't accepted the counteroffer which, to me, means they're a dealer and I'm not interested in that at all. If the book's going to sell I want it in the hands of someone who'll treasure and appreciate it. And frankly, the chutzpah of offering 45% less than the asking price is kind of annoying. And all I did was add a hundred bucks making it 40% off, which is still an amazing deal. But I hate eBay but am having fun watching how many people look, how many people "watch", etc.
-
As to Jesus Christ, Superstar - no way I would ever watch it.
-
Bruce, congrats on a fun show.
-
Bruce, congrats on a fun show.
Ditto!

Good evening.
-
I did nothing exciting today.
-
I wrote an overdue email, watched golf on TV, and made myself some dinner.
-
I thought my sister might give me a call from Nevada, but that didn't happen.
-
Page 6
-
I cuddled up in bed with my cranberry juice, turned on JESUS CHRIST, SUPERSTAR, and fell asleep.
-
I did see parts of it between naps. I enjoyed what I saw of it.
-
That is what happens when I skip my afternoon nap.
-
I gave Nick his pain medicine this afternoon, so he slept the evening away in the living room.
-
I did run a few errands this afternoon and I managed to miss most of the rain.
-
I got my Easter jelly beans, but they came from Amazon instead of the Easter bunny.
-
I was a good boy and left them sealed in their package.
-
I got my Easter jelly beans, but they came from Amazon instead of the Easter bunny.
I still have some Dove chocolate half-eggs that I got from my cousin and his wife. I put two together and had one whole solid chocolate egg. It was quite delish!
-
I am feeling a bit adrift tonight, since I missed church this morning.
-
I was up in plenty of time this morning, so I have no excuse.
-
I guess I was just being lazy. Not a good reason.
-
That is probably why I feel so unsettled tonight.
-
I’m glad BK’s show was a success.
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.

And it begins...China hits the United States with tariffs on $3 billion of exports (http://money.cnn.com/2018/04/02/news/economy/china-us-tariffs-trade/index.html). :-\
