Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland at Sterling's 86, and now it is time for you to post until the 86 cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ABIDE!
-
Again, congrats on the great Kritzerland show, BK!
-
And as usual, those are some really nice pictures in your notes!
-
First post after DR GEORGE after MR BK.
-
Congrats to MR BK & Co on their show..... I think I would have liked to be a fly on the wall for the conversation between the three mavens.
-
I liked JCS. I especially liked the space.....since it was advertised as a staged concert - there was much more movement than I expected.
I liked the choreography and the costumes....the music was LOUD. I thought some of the leads were weaker than others.....but Judas and Mary Magdelene and Pontius Pilate....and the two priests were good.
I don't like the show a lot AND it drives me crazy when productions turn the arrest into a media circus with cameras and cell phones and microphones...and then a few songs later sing: "Israel in 4 B.C. had no mass communication....."
I'll suspend disbelief for microphones for singers and sneakers and jeans, etc....after all THOSE are THINGS not specifically mentioned in the lyrics....
-
Nice to see DR EDI here last night.
Congrats to DR RLP on paying his taxes and scoring his movie memorabilia.....if it's something you want, the price isn't too high.

I know! The production that Tom and I saw on Friday had performers with cell phones throughout the whole show. That just doesn't make sense.
-
Well, I need to go to bed. I want to get to work early so that I can leave early and go to the first rehearsal/read-through of Cinder Edna!
-
Good night, BK and Jrand.
-
Have a good day, all!
-
Maybe we're just too literal DR GEORGE.....
-
DR George thanks, I think, for the link you shared.
-
Good morning, all.
-
SNOW.
-
Sorry to shout. I’m sure vixmom, for instance, didn’t need to be told.
-
Congrats to BK on a fine Kritzerland show.
-
Good day to all

As the kids say, I am SO over this weather
-
Well I must go out, the car is not going to views itself of snow
-
I fell in love with the "Brown album" of JSC when it came out.
Interestingly, while other churches were banning it our Pastor encouraged us to listen to it and used it as a basis for Bible study and discussion
-
I didn't hate the production last night but I didn't love it either
-
Good morning, all!
-
My favorite production I ever saw was at a local community theatre back in the 1990s , they dressed in period costume, except for superstar which was performed from a raised platform above the stage with no one else on the stage
And their Herod started out sincerely asking for proof and then turned really scary and threatening in the last verse, best performance I ever saw if that part
-
Ok I must go although I would rather stay in and crawl back under the comforter
-
Vibes for all
-
It's been a strange morning. First, the cable box refused to reboot, and I was on the phone with Spectrum for too long. Finally, after nearly an hour, it decided to work. Then I opened the blinds to feed the birds and about passed out over the amount of snow. Who expected that?
There are no birds yet, so the cats are antsy.
-
I love the film of JCS; I have a couple of friends in it, and it's so much of its time and place. Last night I turned the TV off at 7:00 and read for two hours.
-
Joshie asked to move our Me & My Girl meeting to tomorrow after my podiatrist appointment, so I will work on the Finale today and see him tomorrow.
-
Congrats to BK on last night!!!
-
Because it's that week and the YouTube views are too low on this fun number :)

Quoth the maven, Ever more.
-
Congrats to BK on last night!!!
Ditto!
-
T.O.D.
Wife Sandy prepared a delicious leg of lamb dinner.
We didn't watch JC SUPERSTAR, but we do have it recorded.
Instead, we watched HOMELAND.
-
Good morning.
-
Birding Monday is on hold again.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Had a great nine hours of sleep.
-
Congratulations to BK and Co.
-
Got a min-hour shift ahead of me tonight with the final basketball game.
-
No interest in JCS.
-
The snow is melting - which is good.
-
Ours is just now coming to an end. By my sights, we got our five inches.
Deck rail and grill...
-
Sorry to shout. I’m sure vixmom, for instance, didn’t need to be told.

You had a good Pastor.
-
Friends in England have posted photos of snow on their Facebook pages.
-
I'm up, I'm up - not enough sleep but allergies are bad this morning.
-
I had and have no interest in Jesus Christ, Superstar, but what I find interesting is that they completely went a 1000% away from the entire point (at least as they've done so far) of the way they've done these live TV shows. This was, from what I'm reading, a staged thing on a stage, yes? Not thought out for TV as with most live TV musicals, more of a filmed stage show?

That would make it more like the already forgotten live Easter musical that aired last year. I can’t even remember the name of it.
-
Monday morning greetings! Better post this fast or it will be afternoon...
-
We had a nice visit over Easter dinner with Richard's brother David and his wife Kathy. I hadn't seen her for more than a year and had only seen him the day of my Mother's memorial service. After they left, to get home to Cincinnati before the snow began, Richard Rob, Mary Linda, and I watched Jesus Christ Superstar. It was OK, but my preferred musical of that ilk is Godspell.
-
Good afternoon!
-
Congrats on another successful show, BK!
-
Good morning / afternoon.

Just in under the wire.

"They" said it was going to rain all day today, but the sun is shining brightly.
-
I did enjoy the parts of JCS that I saw last night.
-
Annabelle's penchant for tossing things off tables and shelves is working my last nerve. She's driving me nuts today.
-
I keep thinking about my mother's philosophy: kids in comas cause no problems.

The local production I saw Friday night, included the Resurrection - sort of.

Testify!

We also have sun. I wanted to walk but the dirty frig won out. Then I moved on to all the drawers in the kitchen.

The shame is you don't have a place to put these things in a safe place from her. While cats like to play with aluminum foil balls they don't necessarily like to walk on them. It might be worth it to try putting some down and she if she avoids it.
-
I googled that and found a couple of other suggestions as well.
"cover the counters with textures cats hate — aluminum foil is one example; cardboard covered with double-faced masking tape or shelf liner is another. No, you won’t have your counters covered forever, but you will need to keep them covered while your cat learns to use the new perches. For the more determined cat, you can look at harmless automatic devices that discourage counter cruising by making sounds cats dislike when they trigger a pressure pad or electronic eye by jumping up."

I keep thinking about my mother's philosophy: kids in comas cause no problems.
;D
-
Yes it was staged for an audience - there in full screaming force - although it was directed within an inch of its life for the tv cameras.
-
"They" said it was going to rain all day today, but the sun is shining brightly.
It rained off and on a bit today while I was out at lunch. It started raining just as I got into my car to go to lunch, then stopped before I got to Taco Del Mar, then rained while I was eating, then it stopped just as I was leaving and got back to work, then it started to rain just as I was walking into the building! That all timed out perfectly! :D

:))

What a curiously curious day. I never went back to sleep, I did my morning errand at two-thirty, I had lunch at eleven-thirty - just an omelet and a bagel, picked up no packages, but was surprised to find the eBay counteroffer accepted, so that's a done deal.

I love when the rain is accommodating to my schedule.

Well, guess what - I just did a Google search on the person who accepted my counteroffer - he owns a - wait for it - bookstore. He is a dealer. He just got forty percent off on a book he will immediately relist and try to sell for three times what he paid, guaranteed. Just another reason to hate eBay. It's okay, I got what I needed to get and actually made a huge profit, since I got lucky and got the book at auction for almost nothing because no one knew what it was and there were no other bids. However, had I known for sure he was a dealer I wouldn't have countered with what I did. But, as I keep saying, the only people buying books on eBay are dealers who'll grab stuff they think the can resell. Since this guy happens to sell on eBay, too, plus on the ABE, I'll be watching to see what he does with this. The good news is, that should he try this with any other title I have, I will not do the deal.

Congrats on the accepted offer.

Sorry to shout. I’m sure vixmom, for instance, didn’t need to be told.
As the kids say, I am SO over this weather
I feel so bad for everyone who got snow. We completely missed this storm. But the weather forecast for Friday shows 15-20cms of snow. I have my fingers crossed that the weather will change by then. I absolutely do not want to see anymore snow this Spring. The roads are bare. Everyone is wearing shoes. Please no more snow!

~~~No-More-Snow Vibes for Jennifer!!~~~
And on that note (pick a note...any note ;) ), I'm outta here. I'm leaving for my first Cinder Edna rehearsal! AND I remembered to set my DVR to record tonight's "Antiques Roadshow"! It's the first of the three Portland, Oregon episodes that I attended last year! I wore my white shirt that has very noticeable pineapples on it so that I would be easy to see. :D Hopefully, I'll be seen!
Until later!
Championship Game Tonight.
We just watched JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.
Enjoyed it, except for Alice Cooper.
Herod is a "fun" role, and Cooper was not "fun".
-
I got through fifteen minutes of Jesus Christ, Superstar just now - it's streaming on Broadway World. I hated every damn second of it. From what I'd read, the choreography was GREAT, the staging was GREAT - not what I saw. That's not choreography - choreography has a point and it should serve the drama. This was flipping and rolling around. And all that silly overdone lighting. Just not my thang.
-
Good evening.
-
Good evening.
-
Is dear reader Sandra married yet, yes or no?
-
Why doesn't she ever pop in and say howdy?
-
Did she eat gefilte fish yesterday?
-
Does she know why we're still on page three?
-
Does anyone still wear a hat?
-
Page four? Really?
-
I keep thinking about my mother's philosophy: kids in comas cause no problems.
;D
Just medical bills
-
Championship Game Tonight.
I sort of paid attention during the first half. But I’m taking a break now.
-
I was really worn out today
-
I dozed off before
-
And now I must go to bed, sorry folks
-
Game over. Villanova looked good.
-
The people were nice, but I saw more sad Michigan fans than happy Villanova fans.
-
Now, can I stay awake long enough to drive home?
-
And can I stay awake during two morning meetings?
-
I didn’t get to see Spike Lee.
-
Thanks, Jane! I'm a little over 12 minutes in right now and so far, no sighting. :-\
-
I still have more than 45 minutes to go in this episode, then two more whole episodes, so there's still hope!
-
Any luck yet?
-
I did not sleep well last night and am crashing.
-
'night
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Any luck yet?
Nope. I just finished the episode proper and I'm nowhere in the background. :(
-
But, there are two more episodes to go!
-
Good evening.
-
It was a really good Chmpionship game tonight.
-
Except for Michigan and their fans (sorry Ginny).
-
I watched JCS today. It was on Hulu.
-
I really enjoyed it.
-
It was far from perfect, but I thought it was well done.
-
Alice Cooper was just okay, but I liked the rest of the cast.
-
I really liked the actor playing Pontius Pilate.
-
And I really didn’t care much for Mary Magdalene.
-
One more post.
-
Page 5
-
The local production I saw Friday night, included the Resurrection - sort of.
How did they do that?
They took Jesus down off the cross during “John Nineteen: Forty-One” and carried him off stage. All of the other cast members left candles on the stage and then exited, except for Mary Magdalene who was left praying onstage alone. Just as the song was finishing, a large beam of light spilled onto the stage, and Jesus entered in the light; and then blackout.
-
It happened very quickly.
-
But it surprised me, because that isn’t in the show.
-
We are going to have plenty of April Showers this week.
-
We might even have a windstorm on Saturday.
-
But, hopefully, no more April Snow.
-
I really liked the actor playing Pontius Pilate.
I did, too. I looked him up. His name is Ben Daniels (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0199842/?ref_=tt_rv_t6), and he's openly gay. ;D
-
I have been having terrible stomach problems all day.
-
And coincidentally, he played Caiaphas in a BBC TV production of The Passion (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1100959/reference).
-
I had chicken noodle soup for dinner, and I seem to be feeling a little better.
-
I wonder how George’s first rehearsal went tonight?
-
I wish I had a show to do.
-
Oh well!
-
CRANBERRIES!
-
I have been having terrible stomach problems all day.
Oh, no! Something must be going around. One of my staff left early today with some tummy troubles. :-\
I hope it is no big deal.
