Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a modulation, and now it is time for you to post until the modulated cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GROK!
-
First post after BK!
-
Topic of the Day:
Roman Polanski
Chinatown
Harold Pinter
I don't think I've ever seen any of his plays
-
Good Day to all
-
Tonight, I don't have rehearsal, so I won't have to leave work early. It's a night off! :D
-
Hello, Michael.
-
And now, to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I remember bits and pieces of several dreams, especially one in which I was visiting Middletown, OH, and pigging out at the Central Pastry; Randy and I were driving about in a truck with other friends as well and we went to my niece Corby's house. In another dream, I was released from prison or some high security location.
-
DR John G, what good news about your health.
-
Pinter:
The Homecoming
The Birthday Party
Polanski
Chinatown
Repulsion
Macbeth
Rosemary's Baby
-
This is an At-Home Day. If I get my energy up, I may do laundry.
-
Good morning, all.
-
TOD
Pinter:
Mansfield Park
The Birthday Party
The Homecoming
Betrayal
The Last Tycoon
Polanski:
Chinatown
Rosemary’s Baby
-
I am up and groggy and my throats on fire again....hopefully it will improve during the day a sit did yesterday
-
Eye vibes for Elmore
-
Health vibes for everyone
-
I am not surprised you received so many compliments on Simply , BK, I love that song
-
Ok. Must be going I haven't even showered and dressed yet
-
And I need to be sitting in my office in 45 minutes
-
Good morning, all.
-
Yesterday was all Addams Family, all day, for me, what with keyboard work in the morning, lugging stuff and setting up, and playing tech rehearsal for Act 1. Today, Act 2.
-
It looks like May 9th through the 12th or 13th - or thereabouts - will be my time for a Cincinnati visit. It will have been a year since I was there, which is unusual for me. I normally get over there once in the spring and once in the fall, but last fall was monstrous.
This will knock me out of getting to Me and My Girl at Encores!, but there's no other good time in May or June for me to get away for several days, and starting in July the musical gigs pick up again.
-
TOD:
Polanski:
CHINATOWN
Pinter:
Not my cup of tea.
-
DR John G, what good news about your health.
Thank you, Elmore, and all. It’s a big relief.
-
Throat relief vibes for Vixmom.
-
TOD:
I will pilfer from DR JOHN G's list.
Pinter: The Homecoming (or as we would say in Indiana the Comehoming)
Polanski: Rosemary's Baby (Hail, Satan) and Chinatown (She's my sister....)
-
My part in the Cabinet "Tomorrow" is in Ab.....
-
DR JANE is traveling in the land of Ma & Pa Kettle!
-
The tap dance is back in! Two Shirley Temples and four time steps! Ta-da!
Thanks to DR FJL for the Herbert Hoover advice.
-
DR TCB - I don't like to be Chicken Little, but losing weight was one of my symptoms.....if your BIL hasn't had THE TEST in awhile, you might encourage him to do so......
-
DR GINNY that was a chilling moment-remembrance......
-

Thanks to DR FJL for the Herbert Hoover advice.
Chubby people dancing and homeless people dancing. Almost as reliable as an orphan kickline.
-
I need to head out on vacation now.

Like nobody's business.

BK - The names of the songwriters are deliberately not on the ballot, and that they don't publicize the songwriters' names until after all the members have voted. (The audio of the songs are put on the MAC site, and they want the voters to listen to the songs and vote based on the songs themselves.)
That's why Sharon wouldn't know you wrote the song from her having voted for it.
This is from the MAC official rules for best song: (the page won't let me copy the link, but it's on the MAC site)
"Nominees in this category will be chosen by committee; the category will not appear on the preliminary ballot. The names of the writers of the submitted songs will not be revealed to the committee members during the judging process, and the names of the songwriters of the nominated songs will not appear on the final ballot. MAC will request the songwriters to similarly withhold from making such disclosure until the voting period has ended. This will allow all voting members to listen to the nominated songs on the MAC website and make their selections based solely upon the merits of each song. MAC will announce the names of all nominated songwriters shortly after the voting period ends."
-
Tuesday morning greetings! I delivered 4 boxes of donated books from my sister-in-law to the book sale site and came away with 5 boxes to be taken to Goodwill.
-
You know it DR FJL!
-
Like nobody's business.
One of my favorite Pump Boys songs. Love that score. Time for a chorus of The Night Dolly Parton Was Almost Mine.
-
Really not in any way a slight to any of your other songs, but among your non-comical songs, "Simply" is one of your very top achievements. I just listened to it again.
IIRC, Skip was still on the committee that chose the nominees that year. I remember that he was certainly delighted to know that you had written it.

An amazing thing is that the rhyme "No holds barred" and "Flor'da" actually works, never even feels forced in the context of that show.
-
Like "marble" and "har'ble" in Funny Girl. It's just funny, I think.
-
I am up and groggy and my throats on fire again....hopefully it will improve during the day a sit did yesterday
Sorry. I wish you could stay home and take care of your throat.
-
DR John G, what good news about your health.
Thank you, Elmore, and all. It’s a big relief.
Yes it is.
-
DR JANE is traveling in the land of Ma & Pa Kettle!
We need to watch THE EGG AND I after our detour to Chimacum.
Did Ma and Pa move later? Where else did they live?
-
DR George I hope your sister likes the elephants. Will this be a surprise for her?
-
DR Jennifer did you receive anything in the mail?
-

I agree.

It is a beautiful song.

Tickets to LA for $126 each way on Southwest. I’m tempted.
-
DR JANE I just remember them living in Cape Flattery in the later movies......
-
Just found out that Cecil’s surgery is scheduled for Friday. His heart showed some atrial fibrillation while he was there. Don’t know how that will affect anything. Waiting word from Pam.
-
DR JANE I just remember them living in Cape Flattery in the later movies......
Thanks, and thank you mentioning the Kettle's or we would have missed the fun detour to Chimacum.
-
DR John, GOOD vibes Cecil will be ok.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.
-
We are leaving beautiful 101 and connecting with I-5, less than 2 hours to home.
-
Thankfully our car has a USB port to keep my tablet charging. My tablet connection is working off my iPhone so I can post.
-
I guess I need to shop for a new reader/tablet before the battery in mine completely dies. I will play with Keith's iPad and see how I like it. Most important will be the ease of using the library overdrive.
-
Hi George. We are in Tumwater getting the car washed.

LOL DR JANE - I do what I can.
-
😊
-
DR TCB - I don't like to be Chicken Little, but losing weight was one of my symptoms.....if your BIL hasn't had THE TEST in awhile, you might encourage him to do so......
Losing weight was one of my symptoms, also (for diabetes).
-
I thought you lost the weight to reduce your symptoms.
-
DR George I hope your sister likes the elephants. Will this be a surprise for her?
Yes, they will be a surprise. ;)
-
DR John, GOOD vibes Cecil will be ok.
~~~Ditto!!~~~
-
Hi George. We are in Tumwater getting the car washed.
That's pretty cool! Were you on Capitol Blvd., or on Littlerock Road in front of Fred Meyer?
And on a sad note: Bob Dorough, Schoolhouse Rock! Performer and Writer, Dies at 94 (https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/bob-dorough-%E2%80%98schoolhouse-rock%E2%80%99-performer-and-writer-dies-at-94/ar-AAwfRGX?OCID=ansmsnnews11).
-
But 94 years...that's certainly a life!
-
I guess spring is officially here: Annabelle and Thatch are shedding. I think the cats and I are all suffering from spring fever. Around 10:30 this morning, we all lay down together and napped and dozed for two hours.
I could use a nap.
-
I thought you lost the weight to reduce your symptoms.
At first, I lost weight without trying, and that's a symptom, and one of the reasons I decided to finally go to the doctor. After I was diagnosed, I deliberately made changes to lose weight.
-
Back from picking up one package.
-
Did more work on the song idea from yesterday - I now have two verses done and it's kind of really cute and the tune is very catchy. So, bridge and third verse and another one is done.
-
DR George I hope your sister likes the elephants. Will this be a surprise for her?
Yes, they will be a surprise. ;)
Oh good :)
-
I looked for a little elephant to buy for her collection but couldn't find a nice one in a smaller/reasonable for packing size.
-
Hi George. We are in Tumwater getting the car washed.
That's pretty cool! Were you on Capitol Blvd., or on Littlerock Road in front of Fred Meyer?
It was not in front of Fred Meyer. It was near the freeway and the Burger King we stopped at before getting the car washed. Does that help?
-
If their fur bothers your allergies try wiping them down with distilled water.
I did not know that about diabetes.
BTW we are home. We stopped at our local Fred Meyer on the way home. The power was out and they weren't sure how long their generator would keep the cash registers open. We quickly purchased what we needed to make a salad and paid at the self check. There was only was cash register open and the line was long. The person at the self check said to check out their because the scales for weighing food were not working at the regular registers.
-
The power was out at the major stop intersection near us. It was a relief that we did not lose power.
-
Keith said we were at the Tumwater Auto Spa on Capital. They did a good job of getting the dirt off.
Who knew that golf was a contact sport?? High school golfer attacked by goose in hilarious set of photos (http://abcnews.go.com/US/high-school-golfer-attacked-goose-hilarious-set-photos/story?id=54683114).
Kind of, but it doesn't matter. I was just curious.
When I take my car to Tumwater Automotive for servicing, they give me a coupon for a free car wash there. They're right next to each other.
Well, you didn't remember...I posted about it and you actually commented HERE (http://www.haineshisway.com/smf/index.php?topic=4943.msg1116751#msg1116751).
;)
Tom started the conversation at the beginning of the day HERE (http://www.haineshisway.com/smf/index.php?topic=4943.msg1116645#msg1116645).
PAGE FOUR DANCE!!
DR Jennifer did you receive anything in the mail?
Nope. I will let you know.
Back from ADDAMS Act 2, which was quite a bit rougher than Act 1 had been last night. But I think that was inevitable, somehow. It'll come together in the next two days just fine. And this is going to be a good production, methinks. When the opportunity presents itself I'll grab a little photographic evidence.
I know what you meant but I had an image of a brawl breaking out in the pit
-
And I'm. Home
-
I left the office at 8
-
It was miserable day
-
On the bright siddhi sneezing is less and my throat is less sore
-
Bright siddhi?
-
Bright siddhi?
is that Siddhartha's younger sister?
-
Gratuitous Post No. 100!
-
I worked late, thanks to leaving Thursday.
-
So it was late by the time I finished dancing.
-
Then I got a call from a friend who needed to be picked up at a bus station on the other side of town.
-
I'm just now home and trying to get business taken care of. I need to finish packing.
-
But first I'm going to finish A Place to Call Home. I'm on the last episode.
-
Then a half hour left of Where Did You Go, Bernadette?
-
Sleep will happen sometime later.
-
I've put the mail on hold. I've packed both warm and cold.
I've still got to get the bird ready to go in the morning.
-
And I'm off to bed.
-
Good night, all.
At least this time I remembered you have diabetes.
Tom started the conversation at the beginning of the day HERE (http://www.haineshisway.com/smf/index.php?topic=4943.msg1116645#msg1116645).
I do remember this part of the conversation.
All alone in the universe!!
Another beautiful day in the Northwest.
-
One more post.
-
Page 5
-
I ran a bunch of errands just so I could be out in the sunshine.
-
I even opened the sunroof, which I never do.
-
It is supposed to be in the high seventies to low eighties tomorrow.
-
And probably a little warmer on Thursday.
-
And then......? And then......?
-
A high of 62 degrees on Friday.
-
And rain all weekend.
-
Oh well, I am retired, so I don’t care about weekends.
-
Had such a fun dinner with Muse Margaret and her ever-lovin' Richard. Classic meal, classic conversation, railing on about the stupidity that is rampant everywhere. We took a nice walk, too.
-
I have weekends seven days a week.
-
Packing vibes to John G.
-
As soon as I got back I went to the computer and finished the bridge of the song I'd been working on - I'd written the final third verse earlier, so that's done now and it's super cute. I have, for three decades tried to figure out how to write a song called Meet Cute. And I have never been able to figure it out - but we have a meet cute in our show and I still couldn't figure it out - until yesterday, when a tune came to me and a way into the lyric. I'm really happy with it.
-
Continued to feel better vibes to vixmom.
-
I am on a turkey binge lately.
-
It is a welcome change from chicken.
-
So for actors lunch tomorrow it will either be a burger or oysters.
-
But NOT raw oysters!
-
Or raw hamburger.
-
BK, can you tell us what the musical is about?
-
Oh. I guess I should be saving that question for tomorrow.
-
It's been a running joke that I keep asking if I've mentioned what it is. Yes, ask tomorrow and I'll tell you.
-
All alone in the universe!!
I love that song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8B-RDSY6yD4)! :D
-
I ran a bunch of errands just so I could be out in the sunshine.
I was planning on walking to work, but I didn't leave home early enough. ::)
-
I did walk to Meconi's (http://www.meconissubs.com/) for lunch, though. :D
-
I have weekends seven days a week.
My parents, too.
Tonight, I took my hi-def flatscreen TV from my bedroom and brought it down to my TV room (even though my dead plasma TV is still on my TV stand), and finally opened and hooked up my new Roku TV that will stay in my bedroom.
