Well, you've read the notes, the notes were deprived on account of they were depraved, and now it is time for you to post until the depraved and deprived cows come home.

And the word of the day is: FORGETIVE!

Kritzerland is proud to present a new limited edition soundtrack release:
THE MAN WITH BOGART’S FACE
Music Composed and Conducted by George Duning
Adapted from his 1976 novel, Andrew J. Fenady brought The Man With Bogart’s Face to the screen in 1980. Starring Humphrey Bogart look-alike Robert Sacchi, the movie was directed by Robert Day. Also in the cast were such expert players as Victor Buono, Yvonne De Carlo, Herbert Lom, Mike Mazurki, Michelle Phillips, George Raft, Sybil Danning, Jay Robinson, Franco Nero, and Misty Rowe. Despite the catchy title and excellent cast, the low-budget film was released in 1980 to not much business but did garner some decent reviews. Variety was very positive, saying, “… a continuous flow of laugh lines. It adds up to a lot of fun.”
Fenady’s choice for composer could not have been a better one – the great George Duning, who was nearing the end of his impressive career. Duning had already written a huge number of incredible scores, including Salome, The Man from Laramie, Tight Spot, 5 Against the House, Picnic, The Eddy Duchin Story, Nightfall, Full of Life, Jeanne Eagles, 3:10 to Yuma, Operation Mad Ball, The Brothers Rico, Cowboy, Me and the Colonel, Bell, Book, and Candle, Strangers When We Meet, Two Rode Together, The Devil at 4 O’Clock, Houseboat, The World of Suzie Wong, Who’s Got the Action, Any Wednesday, The Wreck of the Mary Deare, Critic’s Choice, and Toys in the Attic. He was nominated for the Academy Award five times.
For The Man With Bogart’s Face, Duning came up with a really fun score, including its wacky and very funky main title song – which went on to win the very first Razzie Award for Worst Song. Very typical of its period, the song is just what you’d want it to be. But the rest of the score is Duning in Duning territory – noirish cues, action cues, and, like every score he ever wrote, cues that are filled with his wonderful melodies.
This release was mastered from a mono tape that came from the composer. While the sound was not optimal, mastering engineer James Nelson labored mightily to clean it up as best he could, and he’s done a great job doing so.
THE MAN WITH BOGART’S FACE is limited to 500 copies only and priced at $19.98, plus shipping. CDs will ship by the second week of June, but never fear, we’ve actually been averaging three to five weeks early in terms of shipping ahead of the official ship date. To place an order, see the cover, or hear audio samples, just visit www.kritzerland.com.
ATTENTION INDIEGOGO CONTRIBUTORS: IF YOU WISH TO RECEIVE THESE RELEASES YOU MUST OPT-IN BY SENDING US AN E-MAIL, SPECIFYING EACH RELEASE YOU WANT – SEND TO kritzerland@gmail.com. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO RECEIVE IT, YOU DON”T NEED TO DO ANYTHING. IF YOU ARE NOT AN INDIEGOGO CONTRIBUTOR, ORDER AS YOU NORMALLY WOULD. THANK YOU.

First post after BK.
-
Good night.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Opt-in e-mail sent!
-
BK, by my count, this should be my last CD from the Indiegogo campaign. Can someone confirm that I've counted correctly? I've asked in my opt-in e-mails, but I've never gotten a response.
-
And now, I must sleep. 8)
Have a good day, all!
-
George, I'll find out.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I have two hours before I head out to accomplish my morning household tasks.
-
Then I am off to my barber at Radio City. After that, I will go to City Center.
-
I'll either help or hinder Joshie's final prep for today's orchestra rehearsal and sitzprobe before we head to Carrol Studios.
-
Good morning, all.

I’m afraid I’m missing this one completely, DR Elmore.
Life interfered. The Ohio trip is on for next week. Leaving Wednesday morning. But I had to get it done.
-
Annabelle and I just made our building patrol. She generally runs beside or ahead of me to scratch her claws on the neighbors' door mats. Then she goes either up or down the stairs, marking her territory on the bannister, window sills, and steps. Occasionally she'll lie down on the steps and lounge like Liz Taylor in Cleopatra.
This morning, she did something she's never done before in the past seven months: she lay down on my shoes and played with my socks and shoelaces before trying to sharpen her claws on my shoes, all very affectionately. Then she headed up the stairs.

I do wish I could accompany you. Now that I've got my new 2018-2020 lease, I'm thinking about moving back to Ohio. I'm not getting enough work to afford to live here.
-
i used to know Roberto Sacchi of THE MAN WITH BOGART'S FACE. He was a friend of my publicity client, comedian Jackie Vernon.
I think it was in the mid-1970s: he did a play about Bogart in the West Hollywood area.

Back to the family Addams tonight.
This is quite the production, and I’m only sorry it’s impossible for me to see it from the pit. Later I’ll go grab a couple of Facebook photos.

Does it include the Addams Family TV theme? When i saw it on Broadway, it was there, but seemed very brief
(felt like almost as little as needed to make it not be false advertising that it was in some advertising :)
In that vein, it's official that the Carly Simon Oscar song from the movie "Working Girl" will not be in he upcoming musical version.
(unlike the Broadway musical "Rocky" having included and really used "Eye of The Tiger.")
-
Since her name came up last night and there's nowhere else to put this: Stephanie Block as one of the Chers in Brioadway's "The Cher Show" - that
Tune of “The Way of Love” (1970’s vintage Cher)
When we find a show,
That we like a lot.
Since we love the songs,
And don’t mind the plot.
When the sales don’t tank,
Once reviews appear,
Though some may get frank,
If the book’s not clear.
Know the Great White Way,
Is a Way of Dough.
And the songs we hum,
Are what drive B.O..
When we score a pair,
We’re in ecstasy.
We came for one Cher,
And they gave us three.
Great White Way of Dough.
Hooray for dough!

It includes only the first eight bars of the Vic Mizzy harpsichord-triplets / finger-snap intro, not the song itself.
I recently watched the two Raul Julia movies, and they too only used those eight bars. In those movies and in the musical, the Main Title / Overture (and Bow Music) go right into new music that's compatible but is its own thing.

Good morning to all

Belated Birthday wishes to Fred.
-
Spoke with the film producer on Wednesday and the writer he wanted to pair me with to help write the screenplay has agreed to meet. I have seen several of his plays. He has been produced Off-Broadway and internationally. This is very exciting for me. I hope it works out

Academy Award vibes for DR MICHAEL.
-
Good news from DR VIXMOM!
DR ELMORE I think Annabelle is planning on stealing your shoes and trading them for catnip.
-
When we did THE ADDAMS FAMILY last year - the materials and contract we signed FORBADE us from using the Vic Mizzy theme UNLESS we contacted his estate/music publisher and made separate $$$ arrangements with them.... IT SPECIFICALLY reminded us that the recording could not be used as PreShow or Intermission music without paying the performance fee.
As DR CHAS SMITH says....a few measures are played....but just enough to recognize.....
-
CD Ordered.
-
Rehearsal started at 7:10 last night and ended at 8:55.....so we did okay, I guess......
-
Belated Birthday wishes to Fred.
Thanks, Michael!
(Don't forget to thank the little people if you win some movie awards. Since I'm 5'7" I'd love to be thanked as one of the little people!)

Gosh, it's been on YouTube since 2010, early in my doing the YouTubes. That's probably why it's not in stereo.

I'm up, I'm up - only six hours - not enough. But somewhere between the time I shaved yesterday (around three) and the time I showered last night (around ten) the hot water stopped working, as did the heater. So, I checked everything this morning and water is cold and heater isn't working. What's weird is if the pilot light's out on the water heater that's one thing, but then what's with the heater - that pilot light went out, too? At the same time? The stove is working fine.

Friday afternoon greetings! My sister and her husband spent last night here in Middletown on their way home from Florida. We had dinner with them and then they crashed. This morning, they picked me up at 10 and I took them to the book sale and to a couple of downtown shops. They pulled away from our house at 11 and should be getting close to Michigan by now. They're ready to be home.
-
In a couple of hours Richard will drop me off for a 2-hour shift at the book sale. He'll pick me up at 5:45, we'll get a quick supper somewhere, and be in Oxford for a 7:30 concert by the Miami University Men's Glee Club.
-
Well I was just offered the part of the Monsignor in the musical in SISTER ACT being produced at DePauw in September....HA!
Fun! I am directing the September show at PCPH, and Sister Act goes up the week after it closes....so I will get to be busy....
And last year.....who knew if I would HAVE a this year? I am not turning down ANY opportunities for sure.

The new ALW musical version of "School of Rock" licensed THREE songs from the movie.

Thanks DR JANE and DR GEORGE.....hopefully the scheduling can be arranged....

Bruce do you need your heater on right now? I hate not having hot water, especially when I need the heater on.
Good luck it is a quick fix.

We shall see when the plumber gets here - but how two pilot lights could go out at the same time is pretty outre - unless they're somehow tied together.

Could be a vast right wing conspiracy.

sounds like the gas has been shut off.

Problem solved. Some earthquake thing under the house got tripped - no one knows how other than it may be too sensitive. When that happens it automatically shuts down the water heater, the stove, and the heater. He reset, restarted the water heater, and voila.

And I am home. Thatch and Annabelle were happy to see me since it meant their dinner wait was over.

The plumber suggests not resetting - first you have to check for gas leaks and other stuff, and it's tricky to boot.

from "Plumber of the Year"
I’ll bet your earthquake thing is sensitive
That’s wonderful
What’s so wonderful,
First you check for gas leaks
Oh, the gas is always leaking in somebody else's new house
(maybe not)
-
Mom got back home tonight. She has oxygen handy, and their home helper just left an hour ago, but they think she'll be better off at home than in the hospital.
-
The plumber suggests not resetting - first you have to check for gas leaks and other stuff, and it's tricky to boot.
Good vibes it doesn't happen again. If it does maybe you should call the gas company first. They go out fairly quickly and check for gas leaks, plus they don't charge for the service.
-
Welcome home to your mother DR FJL.
-
What the HELL is the page three malarky? Seriously.
-
Not what I wanted to see.
-
And not even close to page four. Seriously.
-
I had Taco Bell for my meal o' the day and have eaten nothing since, but since I don't really plan to eat until after the stumble-through at six tomorrow, I may have some low-calorie cheese chunks.
-
Did a bit of work and I think found a way into the song I have to write next.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Good evening.
-
Page 3?? What the Hell?
-
Has the site been down today?
-
Is their a strike?
-
Hell, I’ll be a scab.
-
Seriously?
-
Where was everybody today?
-
John G. Is on vacation.
-
Where is everybody else.
-
I am at a loss.
-
Today I had lunch at Hong Kong.
-
The very best barbecued pork.

Ever!

We have been watching the 6th and final season of MAJOR CRIMES on Netflix. Tonight we finished the first disc of a 5 part story. It is time for this show to end. Keith is only watching it for me and that it is the final season.

Hi, Jane.
-
Hi Tom. How are you?
-
At least you are here.
-
I am okay.
-
Good. How is Nicky?
-
I had lunch with Sharry today.
-
Nice.
-
I gave Nick his pain stuff today.
-
He just seemed to be hurting.
-
He has slept most of the evening.
-
Poor boy. I am glad it helps.
-
I had to pick him up and move him.
-
I needed to use the bathroom.
-
He didn’t like being moved.
-
But we do what we have to do.
-
We had a very nice lunch.
-
I think we got a cheap lunch out of the deal.
-
But we do what we have to do.
;D
-
We gave the waitress both of our cards.
-
We had a very nice lunch.
Very good.
-
We ask her to split it in half.
-
Cards? What am I missing?
-
When she came back she said she ran mine twice by mistake.
-
Cards? What am I missing?
Credit cards.
-
Oh, I thought you had gift cards or discount cards, funny.
-
So, she gave me back one of them in cash.
-
Page 5
-
But she never ran Sharry’s card, at all.
-
We were very confused.
-
Sharry said, “What about my card?”
-
The girl said, ‘No, I ran his twice instead.’’
-
But she gave me half of it back in cash.
-
Poor confused waitress.
-
I am afraid her till didn’t balance tonight.
-
I felt bad when I got home.
-
But I wasn’t about to drive clear across town again.
-
I wonder if her manager will call you.
-
Although, I wouldn’t have minded another order of almond chicken.
-
Now I know the entire story.....

'night

Well, I must be off. I'm working concessions at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts. A local ballet company is doing "Alice in Wonderland." The WCPA was desperate for volunteers! They wanted nine concessionaires, and as of yesterday, only two, count 'em TWO signed up. So, I signed up and there will be at least three. Oh, well. It'll be what it'll be. ;)
Until later!
Well, the concessionning went well. There were just about 300 people in the audience, so it wasn't a huge crowd. The center also had a bar in the main part of the lobby that sold beer, wine and three specific mixed drinks, so they got most of the business.
-
They wouldn’t have my phone number.
-
I didn't watch much of the ballet, but what I did see was pretty darned good.
