Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke, and now it is time for you to post until the spoken cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: JOCOSE!
-
That's so cool about Dames At Sea!
-
BK, can you (or whoever) confirm that I'm finished with my Indiegogo 10-CD perk? I've gone ahead and purchased Dames At Sea through PayPal, but if I happen to have another one coming (or I miscounted and I won't actually be getting the last one that I expect to get), I'd like to have it all confirmed. Thanks!
-
You were done with Bogart's Face, yes.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Six months ago, I took the subway uptown and adopted up a cute little orange and white kitten named Thatch. For three weeks I feared I had made a major error and at one point, out of pure frustration and feelings of ineptitude, I seriously considered turning him loose on the street to fend for himself.
Well, I didn't. I made a commitment and had him microchipped and declared him mine. Today Annabelle and I are celebrating Thatch's six month anniversary with us.
-
Happy 6th month anniversary.
-
I feel better than I did yesterday afternoon, so I'm spending the day in the laundry room. It's time to replace the winter bedding and wash the dirty clothes. I'll also spend some of that time there washing out the litter box.
-
We were watching THE WINSLOW BOY with Robert Donat on TV last night. It's a good, if overlong, production, and Donat was fine.
However, I remember seeing John Carradine doing the same role back in the mid-1950s at the Cirque Playhouse in Seattle. It was one of those fantastic stage performance that has remained etched in my mind for 50+ years.
-
I turned the mattress. Thatch and Annabelle were having fun jumping and playing on it while I worked . . . until I turned the mattress over on top of Annabelle. It was accidental, but she stopped playing. So, to make her happy, we went out for our patrol, saw Val, walked down to the first floor, and rode the elevator back up. Thatch, who wants to come along but is too afraid to leave the apartment, cried loudly until we returned.
-
Last year, when I winterized my bed, I put all my colored cotton pillow cases away. I cannot find them anywhere. I can find the sheets but no pillow cases.
Damn!
-
What's been reall funny this morning is watching Annabelle surreptitiously trying to grasp a donut in a paw to slide it off the table.
-
We've been traveling in the bus for 2 hours. Thanks to a major accident on the Long Island Distressway we are only about 50 miles from home
-
Chad lunch today is scheduled to take place at the Shady Maple
-
Assuming we ever get there
-
And now we are on the George Washington bridge.
-
Disabled truck blocking the right lane
-
My sister-in-law JoAnn is having an operation this morning on a possibly cancerous kidney. Please send vibes.
-
Vibes for Jo Ann.
Travel vibes for DR VIXMOM & Co. and DR CHAS SMITH.
-
Prescription vibes for DR JANE.
DR JANE they specified the type of enema - I also thought maybe they meant the stoma, but that was not the case.
-
Hooverville is improved....oh YES, it is improved. There was much approval among the populace - so it is a hit.
Annie and I also did our dance break about four times last night as we went through the choreography for NYC. One woman told me it is her favorite part of the show. Of course she is Annie's mother, but I'll take it.
-
CD ORDERED.
-
Happy anniversary to Thatch
-
Vibes and prayers for Elmores dear SIL Joann

Guess I had better get moving. My eyes don't want to open and my stiff neck does not want to move.
-
Well we are on the openhighway in New Jersey
-
But we are going to be 45 minutes late for our lunch reservation
-
I did win bus bingo
-
I won 2 scratchoff lottery tickets
-
They were losers
-
You are a winner, DR vixmom!
-
Congrats DR VIXMOM!
-
Happy Anniversary to DR ELMORE and the kittehs!
-
I just spoke to Randy and Jo, who is through her surgery. They tell me the surgeon seems confident that all is well, and now they wait for the pathology report.
-
You were done with Bogart's Face, yes.
Thanks, BK!

Great news.
PATH REPORT VIBES!
-
I'm up, I'm up - the alarm did not go off - so I actually got nine and a half hours of needed sleep.
-
Good news DR ELMORE!
-
I am thinking about a pug.....but no real decision making has taken place.
-
Done With Bogart's Face is the title of my new volume of memoirs.

Off to rehearsal under the threat of severe weather.....Indiana - you know.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
MEGA recovery vibes to DS-I-L Jo!
-
I feel better than I did yesterday afternoon, so I'm spending the day in the laundry room.
That sounded strange at first, but I know exactly what you mean. Things pile up and you just want to get them taken care of.

Ditto.
-
Elmore, I'm glad you're feeling better today, even if you spend the day doing laundry.
-
Travel vibes to Vixmom.

Last weekend I tried a new eatery, the Carving Board. I'd dismissed it at first, thinking it was a meat-laden smorgasbord, but I'd misjudged it. It's a sandwich shop. My veggie sandwich was very good. Not cheap, but really tasty.
BK, I see that it's a chain. Have you tried it? There's one in Burbank and another in Tarzana.
-
I went to my favorite food store today. No croissants!! Sigh.
-
Vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
Done With Bogart's Face is the title of my new volume of memoirs.
It sounds like one of those prank calls like the classic "Do you have Prince Albert in a can? You do? Well, let him out."
Were you done with Bogart's Face?
You were? Then please give it back.

They found Annie's real mother? So who were that nice Mudge couple?

Elmore, I'm glad you're feeling better today, even if you spend the day doing laundry.
Thank you, dear. I had been putting it off the the past week, and it was better to take care of the bedding before the heat set in.
-
Haven't tried the Carving Shop.
-
Had a sandwich and side Caesar salad, gassed up the motor car, and picked up one package.
-
Then I came home, finished a lyric for a short piece, and then worked on the long sequence - I've pretty much got the tune and ideas for the third of the three segments within the sequence, the tune for the second, and still futzing with the first, although I think I just came up with a feel I like.
-
Haven't tried the Carving Shop.
I see they have homemade potato chips I would have to try. They are never as good as the original potato chip place on the Santa Monica Pier, but I usually enjoy them when they are on a restaurant menu.
-
Greetings from Cincinnati.
Or from the Best Western Clermont, to be precise.
-
The drive over was nice and uneventful, and I even enjoyed the lovely bit of early summer rain in the final stretch.
-
Happy six month anniversary to DR Elmore, Annabelle and Thatch!
-
I wonder why vixmom’s bus took the GW Bridge. Aren’t they heading for Lancaster County?
No matter, could be a reading comprehension error. :)
-
I just wolfed down five (5) White Castle cheeseburgers and I need about ten more.
-
I waved in DR Ginny’s general direction from I-71, and I’m sorry this is a hurried trip. Hopefully next time we can all get together again.
-
That’s about enough from me for now. Now to relax, then make up some much needed sleep and be up for some much needed breakfast with the family at one of my favorite spots in the morning.
-
Well, it's time to head to the theater. Tonight is the last night without an audience! Tomorrow, we have an invited final dress rehearsal, so there will be people! I'm sure that it'll all be great! :-\
;)
-
Until later!

I just bought a copy of Donat in The Ghost Goes West. Hope it's a good one.
-
A long and somewhat tiresome day at work.
-
I hope the tiresome part isn't going to be a pattern.
-
I didn't miss that while I was on vacation.
-
I just wolfed down five (5) White Castle cheeseburgers and I need about ten more.
Yes, please.
-
Insert sound of lips smacking.
-
Vibes for JoAnn!
-
Happy anniversary for Elmore, Annabelle and Thatch! That's something worth celebrating.
-
I went to my favorite food store today. No croissants!! Sigh.
That is a crime in France, I think.
It should here.
-
What is this page three malarkey?
-
Let's move on.
-
Four!

What is this page four malarkey?

Back to the Brokenwood Mysteries.

I'm really looking forward to this Dames at Sea. Sounds wonderful.

VIBES IT STOPS!
Thank you.

Went back to dancing tonight for the first time. Worked on some quickstep steps. Fun.
-
Pam tells me today that Cecil will likely be able to go home on Saturday. The recovery has been really slow, but it is apparently happening, which is really good news. He didn't want any visitors at the rehab center, so I won't get to see him until he gets home.
-
Gratuitous post No. 100!
-
Wednesday evening greetings! I went to a noon book discussion at the library where my career began and watched THE POST this afternoon with Richard. We went to Izzy’s for dinner, then to Miami Hamilton to see bluegrass singer Ivy Sheppard.

Returning to Julian Schnabel: A Private Portrait, which I'm really enjoying.

Welcome to SW Ohio, DR ChasSmith, and thanks for the wave! I understand about your timetable and I’m leaving on Saturday myself. This is a busy time of year...

What did you think of The Post?
I liked it, but the DVD bonus features were almost as good as the movie. Now I want to read Katherine Graham’s book again.

.
It's either the GW or through Manhattan to the Lincoln, can't take the bus on the parkways so can't take the verrazanno
-
I had to do the same thing when I drove the moving truck to Florida
-
So between the accident on the LIE, the stalled truck on the GW and roadworks on the Jersey Turnpike we arrived at 1:17 for our 11:30 lunch reservation
-
And we had to leave at 2 for the theatre
-
That was a real shame because we could have really enjoyed lunch at the Shady Maple,we all had to rush and grab whatever was nearest abd shovel it down cause time was a wastin
-
I intend to make a leisurely visit there sometime in the near future. Vixdad and I were talking about a possible weekend trip this summer or early fall to see some train museums
-
I know we are only here on 4 but it's 1 am and the alarm goes off in 5 1/2 hours
-
Travel vibes for Chas
-
Healing and excellent prognosis vibes for JOAnn
-
And also for Cecil
-
Oh, and for those that care, the bus chose Mama Mia for our drive home
-
Good night
-
Sleep tight
-
Don't let the bedbugs bite
-
Keith: "Alexa, does Jane ask too many questions?"
Alexa: "Oh my god Keith she certainly does. Some days I just want to tell her to pick up a pencil. How do you cope with that."
(Pencil as in always asking for items to be added to lists)

Oh my. Too bad you couldn't order ahead and have the food waiting for you.

I am very happy because tonight we were finally able to watch the first episode of season 4 of THE LAST SHIP. It did not disappoint.
-
Alexa is sassy.
-
Good evening.
-
Health vibes to SIL Jo.
-
Tonight was Steak Peppercorn.
-
The potatoes and the veggies were really good, but the steak was a bit tough.
-
I have never been crazy about flat iron steaks.
-
Today was letter writing day.
-
I recently learned that my student body president when I was in high school had passed away.
-
Since then, I have found out troubling things about his life.
-
Very very sad.
