The stage was filled with ten full, not baby, grand pianos. And in between all these pianos were these huge arrangements of fresh roses with miniature lights woven thru them. It was breathtaking!
I would love to see Barbra Streisand on stage at Benaroya.

Will she actually be performing there?

I doubt she would ever perform there. It only seats 2,500. I don’t think she will do any more shows.
And a Very Happy Birthday to La Jolie Femme (Mrs. Charles Pogue)!
It is probably from the drive home from Seattle.
In my view, and also in my book, McDonald’s is best for a few of the breakfast items.

One of the best comic takes I've ever seen my mom do was at Caesar's Palace when Celine Dion said how wonderful it was to perform in such an intimate theater. After Celine said the word "intimate," Mom did a raised-eyebrow look around at the 4,200+ seat Colosseum that said "Really? Well, OK." (Of course, Celine Dion was used to playing 20,000-seat arenas, so everything is relative.)
One has to be at the trailhead at 5 a.m. to get a parking spot on a Sunday. That's why.

Today I will be working on my ANNIE lines for ACT TWO so that I can be off book tomorrow evening....easier for me than for several others.
Of course if OTHERS don't know their lines - you can really get messed up, too.
We are expecting 80 degrees today.

Wow. At least there were other people out hiking and you were not alone on the trails. Have you heard from your friend yet?

I think you're right, TCB, although she didn't rule out a concert now and then, just touring.
I tried to download a better photo from my phone, but they all come out as "heic" in stead of a jpeg. My computer won't touch those files.

A bad cell phone photo of a beautiful stage.

Very nice Tom!
Pretty photo DR TCB.
What a beautiful venue, TCB! I would like to attend a performance there some day, even if it's not Barbra!
One of my favorites is from ANNIE 2 or ANNIE WARBUCKS. (Thomas Meehan must have meant this cynically, of course.)
“We beat them 6-nothing, 6-nothing!"
"No, Annie, that's 6-love, 6-love. You see, Annie, love means nothing."
"Oh, no, you've got that all wrong. Love means everything!"
Watching a fun piece of junk called The Colossus of Rhodes. It was Sergio Leone's first movie and it's one of those Italian epics with all of the dialogue dubbed.
Lovely stage, TCB.
I forgot to mention I got a lovely e-mail from the son of Bernard Stambler, the librettist of The Crucible opera. He's so happy we remastered it and have this new, much improved version out there for people to hear.
I like the Colossus of Rhodes.....I guess Guy Madison or somebody was hired but something happened and Rory Calhoun was pushed into the film....wearing all of Guy's clothes or togas.....
There's lots of scale models of the Colossus with people running all over them, and the mean girl is really mean!

It is quite wonderful and the acoustics are amazing.

Never been up there myself, but always wanted to go.
I could have gotten 10 or 12 posts out of that
Hello from Mackinaw City, MI!
I could have gotten 10 or 12 posts out of that
You just needed to get that rant out all at once. Where was this "exciting" brunch?
I am home from "Me and My Girl," which was really wonderful silly, slapstick-y, mindless, and so much fun. Christian Borle was really wonderful, but the cast was full of delightful, eccentric performers: Chuck Cooper, Simon Jones, Harriet Harris, Don Stephenson . . .
The band sounded wonderful, and Warren Carlyle's direction was as smart and fluid as his choreography was bright and creative. I loved the whole company playing with spoons in "The Lambeth Walk."
We had a lovely 6-hour drive up the Lake Huron coast, stopping at 2 lighthouses and a scenic vista of the Mighty Mac. Tomorrow we’re driving across for my first ever visit to the Upper Peninsula.
I am very torn about turning off the "locate me " on my cell phone because it creeps me out that when I leave a restaurant etc Google asks me to review it
On the other hand, should I leave my phone somewhere it's nice to know I could find it
Jane, thank you for the wifi mesh info last night.

Can't wait to go there, right?
Jane it was called Country House Restaurant in Stony Brook
That was actually the Google review I posted
I had a wonderful 90 minute phone call with the Vixter so I am happy

Lovely. The only time we went farther than Mackinaw Island the weather did not cooperate. Do you plan to see Pictured Rocks?
Cecil made it home yesterday. I'm going over for a short dinner tonight to see how he is. Thank you, again, for all those vibes.
BTW, Pam and he have their 43rd anniversary tomorrow, 20 years to the day of Mom and Dad's.

We went into town for ice cream and then back out to the scenic overlook to watch the lights come on on the bridge.

DR George will you please remove my original link from your quote where you say the owl story is cute?
