Was there suppose to be a photo in the notes?
No. In today’s notes he talks about the dress in “Let’s Get Together.” He said, “Ok, I’ll share. Then he said, “Pretty adorable.” I thought there was supposed to be a photo.
Bruce, sorry about your iPod but glad more wasn't stolen.
Feel-better vibes to TCB!
And vibes to Nicky, too!
BUT WAIT!! I forgot about the time I left my bike for a moment at the front door of Pickwick Books!.... :)
(Seriously.) (So there have been five such things in my life.) (Five.) (Count 'em.)
Nick is very crippled up this morning.
THE MOUSETRAP last night seemed a bit flat....but the audience enjoyed it and I got some nice responses on my bits and pieces...
TWO MORE TIMES TO DEAL WITH SHE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED.
She was disappointed that she bought tickets for her parents who decided NOT to come. She says that it's too bad because this will be their only time to really see her in a part because once she goes to LA and her career takes off, they won't have the money to travel to see her - although they can buy the DVDs of her movies and tv shows.... And she says this and believes it....
The "agency" that she is PAYING to represent and teach her is telling her anything she wants to hear to keep her money flowing (which she doesn't really have)...but of course she KNOWS everything and will correct anyone and proclaim forth on ANY subject that happens to be discussed by others....
Nick is very crippled up this morning.

DR JANE she is NOT interested in hearing anyone else talk about anything....and she is so hard headed and self important, that words would be wasted and dismissed....

The day I moved into this apartment, July 13, 1980, it was hot. I was sweating so badly my glasses kept slipping off my nose, and it was hell. The next day, Monday, I learned it was 104 F. If I'd known, I might have told my Drama Book Shop friends helping me, I'll lie here; drive the van over me.
I hope people in New York did not breathe in asbestos from the explosion yesterday.

Well, &%#$, FedEx just delivered our new bedside tables and one of them is damaged. Photos have been taken and emailed to Levenger customer service, per my phone conversation with Ashley.
Very very sorry, DR Elmore.
Sad day at West 82nd Street: Val has given his two-week notice. I was not surprised.

The Duck Boat tragedy really made me flash back on when I took the Duck tour in Pittsburgh. The disappointment on the vehicle was very strong when it was clear the condition of the water strongly suggested the on-the-water part of the ride should be skipped that afternoon. For me and my friend, we were enjoying the sights of the city (much nicer than we'd expected), so we didn't mind missing the water part if it was a question - but for so many, the water part was why they chose the Duck Tour over a different sightseeing tour. The business pressure of passenger disappointment could have been a factor in the tragic decision, but that's only from what I felt from having been on a similar ride in another city. :(
I stayed propped up in bed for almost an hour before I felt calm enough to get out of bed.

Well, that's twice in a row for photos - I'll put it there now and you can all go look at it immediately.
Very very sorry, DR Elmore.
Our building management is foolish to lose him.

There are Duck Boat tours in Seattle (https://www.seattletimes.com/category/ride-the-ducks/) and three years ago, one had an axle break while on a bridge and five people died.
Oh, and I'm up - got up at eleven after eight hours of sleep. I gained back three of the five feet I lost thanks to the good folks at the Wallis.

I remembered something had happened and there was a discussion how safe these boats really are.

If I remember correctly, a lot of the Duck vehicles that were in Seattle (at the time) were old vintage vehicles and probably weren't maintained as well as they should've been. :-\
Tomorrow at this time, I should be in Beverly Hills. Yes, I'm going to the Richard Sherman celebration!
T.O.D.
We'll just be watching the summer TV shows, or maybe pull out an old DVD.
I watched SEABISCUIT yesterday. Wonderful movie. Hadn't seen it in years and remembered little about it, so it was like watching a new film.

I've been mulling over similar "violating" incidents in my life. The first one (of four) happened during my year in Cleveland when I, along with a few other school friends, had what was a mostly enjoyable job driving Yellow Cabs. One night I was in line at a cab stand downtown, and when this guy got in and told me his destination, I made a valiant attempt at fighting off the feeling of "here it is, this is not a good one, and it's happening to ME this time". Minutes later we were about to make our final turn down a side street and I remember saying some silly casual thing in the hope that he was about to get out, when I felt him press something cool against the back of my neck as he said "now just do as I say".
Long story short: He took whatever cash was there, tossed the ignition key out in front of the cab, and told me I'd been good and to wait five minutes -- whereupon I could get out, take the key, and leave. I'm happy to note that I'm here to tell about it.
All of us had at least one incident like that during the year we were driving. We really liked the job, otherwise, and we had no problem returning to work after these things. But, wow, think of something like that happening now, and it's enough to make you not want to leave the house.

Has anyone else noticed how much bad news there's been lately? Not exactly a Mercury retrograde, but something like it. Ugh!
DR Jeanne we had dinner with friends tonight and I asked about your situation. They own rentals in Washington and do not think you should have to pay to rent a place while they do the work.
First they mentioned you should have the right to see their rental insurance agreement to know if it covers you.
Do you have rental insurance that might cover the situation?
I have a friend in California who owns apartments. Would you like me to ask him about California laws?
This morning he did something extremely rare for him, he trashed it.

When does LEGALLY BLONDE open?
It plays only one weekend, August 16 - 19.

I haven't played Super Mario World in YEARS and I'm not as good at it as I used to be. I'm getting better at it, but it's slow going.
That would have been a better way to phrase it.
