Well, you've read the notes, the notes breathed easy, and now it is time for you to post until the breathing easier cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PUNNET!
-
First post after BK.

If those are the standard price of food att Jerry’s Deli, I would have stopped eating there years ago.

I would've gone once to try it out, but I certainly wouldn't have gone back. :-\
-
BK, please post your introductory remarks! That would be cool.
-
You will begin auditions in two weeks, and after that you will eat and relax?
-
I'm going to start to watch today's batch of videos now. :)
-
BK, please post your introductory remarks! That would be cool.
I second that ditto!
-
My iPad won’t let me watch the videos tonight, so I will watch tomorrow on the desktop computer.
-
Good night.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Listening to a fantastic singer called Lucy Reed. I got this because Bill Evans is the pianist, circa 1955. What a voice and the material is incredible.
-
Well, I just woke up from an impromptu pre-bedtime nap. ::) I guess it's really bedtime.
Good night and have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!

I am not watching, nor plan to watch, The Real Housewives. Emily and Sara stopped being my niece when after her parents separated and too much happened that only made me want to have no dealings: her mother became involved with a abusive white trash Butler Country sheriff who refused to let her communicate with any of her husband's family. For three years or more I sent Christmas gifts to her and the girls and never knew if they received them or not. I learned they did each year by asking my former sister-in-law's if she could give me an answer. They had.
My sister-in-law got angry with my parents for refusing to taker her side in battles with Macbeth over child support and she broke communication with my parents.
Emily's always been a large woman and in the 1990s she tried modeling. She was living in Manhattan and I didn't know it until Macbeth called me and asked me to help her out with an apartment search. I spent a day working on it, left her several messages at the phone number M gave me. She never returned my calls, moved back to Ohio, and I never heard another thing from her until she sent me a FB friend request.

I still bet Lady M is plotting to put her face on that program.

More coffee.

We're in the process of watching Herman Woulk's THE WINDS OF WAR w/Robert Mitchum on DVD.
Haven't seen it in years. Two long episodes left, which we will probably watch this weekend.

Great Richard Sherman tribute, BK.
Wish I had been there.
-
Loved the videos....Mr Richard Sherman looked great and said some really wonderful things.
Major Miracle Vibes for MR BK.
-
It was hot in DR TCB's bedroom last night - I have not had that problem for a couple of decades.
-
Last night's rehearsal was very good. We got the first 23 pages blocked....and we finish blocking Act One on Monday.....
-
"Putting My Finger On It" - isn't that a Sondheim song?
-
I am not sure my mother approves of her sewing room being turned into a computer room.....last night at midnight the closet rod fell down....this morning while I was fixing that - the curtain rod at the window fell down....
Of course it could be the Mercury retrograde and the upcoming full blood moon eclipse tonight.... :P

Good morning.

Good morning, all.
-
It’s Friday, and there is nothing in my CD, DVD, BD, LP, or any other players, as I continue to navigate an incredibly busy and crazy week.
-
Speaking of crazy weeks, I wonder how vixmom’s has been coming along.
-
Good morning, all.

That is sad. It also sounds like Emily's public telling of her childhood is accurate for her memories.

I hope the niece of DR TCB is feeling better today.

Haven't seen it in years. Two long episodes left, which we will probably watch this weekend.
I was very disappointed in the casting of Mitchum and more so in Jan-Micheal Vincent.

TOD:
Finish Nickelodeon and who knows. It’s a very busy weekend.
-
I believe a DVD is arriving from Netflix today. Chances are we shall watch the mystery DVD tonight.
-
I am reading SKINNY DIP by Carl Hiaasen.
-
I got my new rehearsal schedule for SISTER ACT today....it has been changed twice....and we don't even have our first read thru until August 18.
-
I have three days off - in a row....something that hasn't happened since April.....
My cousin's son was killed in an accident yesterday....very sad....I do not know the details yet, but they will perhaps be forthcoming today. My cousin and I were very close as we were growing up...he's a very nice man.
He had two daughters with his first wife.....he had his only son with his second wife....and they named him....Jack.

It hasn't been hot in my bedroom for nearly 30 years. But who's bitter?
-
Off to post office.
-
Friday morning greetings! I had an early appointment with Tina for a much-overdue haircut. Now I'm home puttering until it's time for us to leave for a family picnic hosted by Richard's younger brother and his wife. The occasion is a visit from their son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. We're looking forward to meeting Layla, who just had her first birthday earlier this spring.
-
I'm up, I'm up - barely. Couldn't fall asleep last night - so only about five hours of sleep, if that.
-
Ready for the work session and lunch with Nick has been pushed to next week - he's a bit under the weather.

I like Mitchum, even if he was a bit old for the role.
Who would you have cast?
Jan-Michael Vincent could have been one of the biggest stars in the business, but he threw it away.
-
When they did the sequel, WAR AND REMEMBRANCE, there was talk of replacing Mitchum with James Coburn, but they stayed with Mirchum.
They did, however, drop Vincent and Ali MacGraw.
-
I had the taxi from hell on my ride back from market:
1. he was more busy talking on the phone in a foreign language than listening to my directions
2. I believe he deliberately missed lights to add more time to the meter
3. I told him to turn left on Broadway three times before we got to it; he turned right
4. My rife was $8.oo with tip; I have him a $20 and asked for $12.00 back; he gave me $8 and we had to go through it again.

So. ANNIE.
Outdoor venue. Right?
This was originally to have been opening night, and they cancelled that earlier this week due to the week’s reign of rain (see what I did there?), making Tomorrow (see what I did there?) the opening instead, and we’d have Tonight (see— no, wrong musical) for a sorely needed final dress rehearsal.
So last night the weather gods smiled upon us (all except those in the humidity department) and we had a pretty good first dress rehearsal on the actual stage with the band in their actual tent. What with tonight’s rehearsal, we should then be in decent shape for the Saturday opening. Right?
Well, this afternoon those fickle gods turned the rain and thunderstorms back on, and tonight just got cancelled. Just for the orchestra. They desperately need to do tech, if it will stay clement enough even for that. So cast and crew are on, for whatever they can accomplish, while we are suddenly blessed with the evening off. (We still get paid.) Which is just bizarre. It’s welcome, but disorienting. And really, we needed the rehearsal. Tomorrow we’ll be praying for Rosemary’s baby.
-
Good weather vibes tomorrow.

Leonard Bernstein Revisited (http://www.kritzerland.com/leo.htm) and Lenox Avenue (http://www.kritzerland.com/still.htm) have arrived in Tumwater! :D
I was involved with the "Leonard Bernstein Revisited"; I suggested "We Are women" to Ben and copied the band parts for "Conquering the City." Maggie Task, who sings the contralto part of "We Are Women," was the original Miss Hannigan at Goodspeed before Annie went to Broadway with Dorothy Loudon. Maggie was also in the original cast of Sweeney Todd.

Excellent, DR Elmore.
As it happens, I’ve decided that instead of the many “constructive” or “productive” things I rightfully SHOULD be doing with my free evening, I’m making a Friday TOD of it (and a Manhattan) and spinning some discs. Tonight’s overdue guest of honor is Ben Bagley. First up, some Cole Porter and some Gershwin. Then, my first ever listen to the Bernstein.
-
BK, I believe the Alan Jay Lerner and Advise and Consent are not yet shipping. Is that correct? Just trying to keep up with it.

I still bet Lady M is plotting to put her face on that program.
If you hear that somehow Lady Macbeth gets on the show you must tell us. I am dying to see what she is like on tv.

If those two titles were ordered together that is correct.

Page three? Really?

Watched what was an intriguing Spanish movie on the Flix of Net - but it all kind of went to hell in the last thirty minutes. The bad music didn't help much. But there was a very good idea and a good first two-thirds.

Then you didn't know how wonderful these three characters were in the novel. Byron was charming and good and happy while Vincent sulked through the entire role.

We went to dinner at a restaurant we occasionally go to near us. Unfortunately we deviated from our usual orders and got the summer pasta. We expected a lighter sauce and lots of asparagus and snow peas. Instead it was the smallest pieces of zucchini possible and corn. We didn't care for the sauce either. After asking the waitress what happened to the vegetables listed on the menu and that we did not care for it, she not only took off the pasta from the menu but our salads as well. All we paid for were our drinks.

I had better lose weight cuz I am hungry.

Vibes for Ron's mother.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I was in tears watching the last Sherman clip. What an emotional event.
-
Jrand, so sorry to hear your news. Vibes to you and your friend and family.
-
Vibes for Ron's mom.
Jane, please keep us updated from time to time if you can.
-
I watched part of Hannah Gatsby's NANETTE. She's quite funny. Is anyone here familiar with her work?
-
Jane, I'm glad the waitress took care of things for you.
-
I have no news.
TTFN.
-
I had Jersey Mike's for the meal o' the day - in essence two sandwiches for just under 1000 calories. Still full as I ate parts of it over the course of the day.
-
Tried to watch something else but did not.
-
Cleaned out stuff out of iTunes.
-
There's still 12,500 songs in there.
-
All hi-rez files.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Stop the madness.
-
Speaking of madness, I'm out of Diet Coke - really need a Costco run but that can't happen until Monday so I'll just go get a twelve-pack or something.
-
BK, when I was cleaning iTunes, I found that so many amazon downloads had two files for some reason. That I had to delete the same song title twice. If you had that, do you know why that was happening?
-
or maybe that should be an Ask Bk day question. :)
-
I watched part of Hannah Gatsby's NANETTE. She's quite funny. Is anyone here familiar with her work?
I read a review of it that really makes me want to see it.
-
Finished watching Nickelodeon. It's no masterpiece, but in this case, the director's cut is much better because it's in black and white, not in color. It looks like an old Nickelodeon flick. That really helped. But you're movie's in trouble when your big climactic scene is of your characters watching somebody else's movie, in this case Birth of a Nation.
-
I've never really downloaded much from Amazon, actually but I don't think so. I wonder how long it would take to put 12,000 hi-rez files into an iPod?
-
Good night, all.

Vibes for Ron's mom.
Jane, please keep us updated from time to time if you can.
I will.

Jane, I'm glad the waitress took care of things for you.
We were impressed. I said to Keith she was going to get a good tip and he replied 100%. Yes, our cocktails were pricey ;)

PAGE FIVE DANCE!!
-
Today at my parents' house, we played Phase 10 as usual, and also as usual my parents' cat Henry had to be part of the party.
-
He always lays on the table in the way, so my sister decided to not let that bother her:
-
He didn't even move for a couple of minutes! :))
-
Good evening.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
My condolences to Jrand and his entire family.

Two more hot days ahead before the weather breaks.
-
Then it will plunge into the seventies!! Thank God.
-
Hi, George.

Then it will plunge into the seventies!! Thank God.
Halle-freakin'-looya!!
-
Nicky has decided that the noisy bedroom A/C my be better than the overheated living room.
-
You will notice, Jrand and Elmore, that tonight it was hot in my living room!
-
The entire apartment is a pleasure palace.
-
George, what was for dinner?

George, what was for dinner?
We had tacos. They were simple but very good.

I am sorry if you posted that on a previous page. I felt it was more important to post before midnight than read page four.

Which I will read in a few minutes.

And speaking of the heat: Science Says: Record heat, fires worsened by climate change (https://my.xfinity.com/articles/news-national/20180728/US-SCI--Science-Says-Extreme-Weather-5ce7)! Here's one paragraph:
Japan hit 106 degrees on Monday, its hottest temperature ever. Records fell in parts of Massachusetts, Maine, Wyoming, Colorado, Oregon, New Mexico and Texas. And then there's crazy heat in Europe, where normally chill Norway, Sweden and Finland all saw temperatures they have never seen before on any date, pushing past 90 degrees. So far this month, at least 118 of these all-time heat records have been set or tied across the globe*, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Then you would be starving by the time you left work.
I'd bring a snack for later and make it work. ;)
