Then, I need to come home and organize the Legally Blonde props. I have a whole bunch o' stuff all over my living room. :P I need to make a list of what all I have, indicate what's been purchased and what's borrowed (and from whom!), in what (approximate) order do they show up, and how much I paid for everything that I bought. At least, I hope that that's what I need to do!
I now wonder if the public was set up, if it had been told to Paula in advance to expect that "ambush."

Break legs vibes for BK and company tonight!
On the plus side my new play has been sent to an agent/producer in NYC, whose client in LA is interested in playing the lead.

Show vibes for MR BK & Co.....make Indiana's Cole Porter proud....
It is strange that two of the most sophisticated men of the 20th Century - Cole Porter and Clifton Webb - both hailed from Indiana...
but then everyone knows that when it comes to sophistication, Hoosiers are the first hogs to the trough!

I hear young Cole plowed the fields in a tailored dinner jacket!
Got one quarter of the way through The Great Alone. I like it, but I think Hannah needs a better editor. It bothers me that a 13-year-old boy in the early 1970s would use the phrase douchebag while the 14-year-old girl wants to call 911 long before that number was ever used for emergencies. In the beginning, the girl is very much a camera, like the one she carries around her neck, reflecting what's going on and yet surprisingly outside much of it. I hope she grows into more of a character.
Our vet was very good to us. They only charged for the bag of fluids, and I took Rex in and they did the labor for no charge. Until Rex said no more. He's doing ok, by the way.
It probably helped that I took food to the vet techs, too.
Trying to rest my voice, but this seems to be a day of phlegm - hopefully it will go away before the show.
Well we are ordering my Bigfoot in the Park furniture from Wayfair....we shall see what happens....loveseat, side chair, small dining table and two chairs, bar and two stools, floor lamp....all for under $500 and free shipping.....
Charlotte Rae has died at the age of 92.

I preferred Hannah's "The Nightingale".
I looked it up and the first 911 call was made in Feb 1968 in Alabama. I can't find when it was first used in Alaska.

Thanks for the note on 911. I never knew that. When I was growing up, you called 0 for an operator in case of an emergency.
Jane, have you got a page of posts in you?
I must be up in a few hours.
We had us a terrific show tonight, about which more in the notes, including a first time ever thing for a Kritzerland show.
I hope the world didn't end while I wasn't looking.

The temps were in the low 80’s.
All week long the temperature is expected to climb.
DR George, In Search of the Castaways is based on a Jules Verne novel. I would swear that when it was first released it was simply titled The Castaways. I saw it several times on its first release.

Well, I didn't get everything done that I needed to (list, all the organizing, laundry ::) ), but I did get the cake made! It's not dry, so I can't paint it, yet. But here it is...so far:

Legally Blonde spoof "So Much Butter"

DR George I bet there are videos on line that might help with the injection part. I am surprised she was only shown how to do it. I actually did it at the vets office. I was lucky too that our pet sitter was a tech there and, as a favor to us, talked me through it again at our house.

Did you buy those fake laptops from the website I directed you to?

Now that I have my laptop and Alexa hooked up, I was able to play Ella as backup for the evening. I have more than 5.5 hours of her on iTunes, because it kept playing.
I think Bobby Short may be the only other artist that I have that much music of.

It was hard to read the audience about the big announcement, but I know it's the right thing and I know people are really tired of the food at The Federal. But there was no choice, really, because the actual management of The Federal has never cared a whit about us and our long-running show that has made them a considerable chunk of change these six and a half years. They've not only never thanked us, they've been downright rude, mean, and unhelpful on any number of occasions, in addition to simply bumping our show out of its regular slot because some one-time only thing came in making them more money....
All week long the temperature is expected to climb.
Same here.

I look forward to seeing the finished cake.
What shape is the cake suppose to be?

I know. They are going back tomorrow, and the vet tech said if they need to come back he will show/instruct them more thoroughly. I think my niece had successfully done it once before, but I think her confidence is just not there now.

It's supposed to be bone-shaped.

She really needs to be doing it while someone watches, not watching them.
