Well, you've read the notes, the notes replaced the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the replacement cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: THUNDERSTONE!
-
TOD Shrimp, lobster, salmon all good. Raw fish, blecchh. Fish and chips are necessary to life.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I'm not sleeping well. I cannot blame the cats or the weather.
-
This is a social day. I'm meeting Jerome Moross' daughter Susanna for breakfast, then I'm having lunch with my MTI friend, Terry.
-
DR Laura, more Leonard photos! Please?
-
Good morning, all.
-
That sounds like a fine morning and afternoon, DR Elmore. Enjoy!
-
I’ve got plenty of work on my plate today. And shopping to do, for food and other supplies. And a gas tank to fill.
-
Good morning, all.
-
My phone refused to charge yesterday and overnight. Now it's charging. I don't get it. A trip to the apple store is in order. But when?
-
I need to get stuff backed up, too. And it's taking its sweet time on that.
-
Off to the doctor's in a bit, then to work. Joy.
-
Good morning.
-
This morning our front door that was scratched by the workman is supposed to be painted. Hopefully we have enough paint for the painter to spray on the door.
-
T.O.D.
Swordfish.

That's the password DR DRUXY.

Finding the actress vibes for MR BK.
-
This morning I went to a pet store in my town....Pets Plus....because they sent me a 20% off coupon... I had to join their FREE Pet Preferred program to get the discount....but that's okay.
It's at the other end of town.....and they have Birdy Barnum's food, so even though I didn't need it yet, I bought a bag at 20% off.....
-
I also cooked my last 2.25 LB. tray of ground beef.....made a small sauce pan of spaghetti and used the rest to make Manwich.....
I shall now buy SMALLER packages of ground beef....
-
TOD:
Fish.....hmmmm.....I don't know because I don't know what they make the Fish filets out of .... but I like Gorton's especially.....
-
TOD:
Yes. To everything that comes from the sea. Halibut, monkfish, wild salmon, sardines, anchovies, herring, tuna. Yes. Yes. Yes.
-
Reminds of When the Sea Is All Around Us from the Shoestring Revue:
There’ll be tuna and halibut and grunion
Floating through the land of Damon Runyon
Or something like that.

DITTO!
-
Our front door was painted, not sprayed and just painted down the middle where the major scratches were. We are pleased with the results, especially since we had more scratches to begin with than what the workers put in.
-
Since I do eat fish when away from home....I like salmon, lemon sole and Steelhead which I have just recently discovered.
-
I eat tuna salad occasionally and clam chowder.
-
I love clam dip but haven't had it in years since I need to make my mother's recipe. Having at home is not good as we eat it all up in one sitting.
-
With apologies to Mr. Piven, who was totally cleared by Equity, but maybe it's more easygoing for now being an urban legend

Belated Happy Anniversary wishes to DR vixmom and DH!

Had to take my car to the repair place again because the "check engine" light keeps coming on. They recently replaced the gas cap but the light came back on again. They can't find anything else wrong. The problem is that the emissions inspection is due by the end of December so I'm hoping against hope that it'll pass.
-
Even though the car is almost 18 years old, it only has 43,000+ miles. I hate to buy a new car since I drive so infrequently.
-
I'm shuffling off to Buffalo on Saturday. I'm going to suggest to DR Kate and maybe other family members that we go to this Frank Lloyd Wright home: https://experiencegraycliff.org/
-
I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of sleep. I was actually up at nine-thirty but stayed in bed thinking I'd get up at ten. Then it was suddenly noon - go know.
-
Know go.
-
Page two? Really?

If you go I am curious if the ceilings inside are low. The couple of his houses I felt claustrophobic.
-
The new mirror is supposed to be installed tomorrow. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly this time and we are done with this "remodel".

Leonard:

Good afternoon.
-
No George today, either?
-
I hope he is okay.
-
Maybe he has meetings all day.
-
Yeah, no George last night either, right?
-
Leonard:
He's so cute!

Look at him ... loving life! :)

In theory, I LOVE Frank Lloyd Wright houses. In actual practice, having gone through a few of them (in Oak Park, Chicago), I still love his work but some of his ideas are just short of something I could totally love, and live in.
I'd kill to have a beautiful Arts & Craft (or Craftsman) house, though - no question - and that would be close enough to the FLW vibe to satisfy me.
-
That Buffalo one looks like a beauty, though. Hard to believe there's anything about the interior that would disappoint.
-
Had a bagel with cream cheese and am listening to music.
-
Still looking for my replacement actress.
-
Laura, both of your new babies are gorgeous! May they both have long, happy, loving lives!

Handsome boy :)

To celebrate, at least I hope I will be celebrating, the end of this project I will take a trip to the post office. DR George, did you see this?
-
Leonard!!!!

DR GEORGE went to the opera last night....maybe it isn't over.

Mirror vibes for DR JANE.

Thank you DR Jrand.

Must have been a Wagner opera. They're endless!

Maybe the Person of Considerable Girth hasn’t sung yet.
-
LOL

I like to ketchup on my posts in chronological order, so here we go...

My "Service Engine Soon" light came on yesterday...again. I need to take it in because I haven't in quite a while. ::)

My car is now over 20 years old (June 14, 1998), but my odometer stopped working after 175,500 or so miles. I don't know how far I've driven it since then because it broke last year. Since I don't plan on selling it, I don't care.

Yes, everything's alright (a Jesus Christ Superstar reference). ;)

Not meetings, just no time to ketchup until now.
-
Maybe the Person of Considerable Girth hasn’t sung yet.
may have told this story before....
We were at one of Craig's t-ball games which to Bryan seemed to be endless. When he groaned "When will it be over" Keith responded "When the fat lady sings". Bryan turned to me and said "Mom, sing". My hysterical laughing did not diminish the number of dagger eyes directed at Bryan.

Yikes! I only live about a mile from where I work, so I don't do a lot of driving in a year.

The opera was very good. We had great ($75, but free to us) seats. After the show, we stayed for the talk-back and the people who played the brother and sister came and talked. The boy is only 13 years old (the character is supposed to be 10) and this was his first opera! He had won some chorister awards and has a great voice. The young woman who played the 8-year old sister was in her early 20s and is also from England. The talk-back was really interesting and informative. Evidently, they have a talk-back after every performance, but the same actors don't speak after each performance. People had a lot to say about the ambiguity of the piece and how they felt about it all. A couple of people had read the original book and a lot of people had never seen it before.
-
After that, Margo and I went to Dick's Drive-In (http://www.ddir.com/). I hadn't been in a while and it was still good. We then drove home (very little traffic problems either way) and I dropped her off. I came home (it was almost 1:30 at this point) and fed myself and my cat, then just needed to get to bed, so I did.
-
When I got to work, I had things to do and a meeting to go to and just didn't have any time until now to log on. :)
-
Still looking for my replacement actress.

It was kind of long (but good), but we stayed for the talk-back afterward (see my previous posts).

Well, it's time to leave work. I have a couple of props that I just got from Amazon (a brain and some empty blood bags) that I'm going to bring to the rehearsal, which is starting right now. I wasn't otherwise planning on being there, so it's okay that I'm going after they've started. I don't know how long I'll stay. We'll see.
Be back later...and I will be back later!

Tonight, when I was leaving the second dance studio of the evening, I saw this gorgeous black feral kitty. He reminded me of Leonard. But he didn't answer to the name. Or to my desire for him to come to me.
-
Watching the second episode of Poldark tonight.

Good night, all.

Fish and chips sometimes
I actually had fish and chips for lunch today, so that's on my list. Otherwise, I'd pretty much just add McDonald's Filet-O-Fish® and Skipper's Fish & Chips or frozen fish sticks from when I was a kid.
-
Bitter? Me?
I can't image why.
-
How are you, Vixmom?
Still waking up in the mornings !
Thank goodness for that!
-
Thanks Vixmom.
-
Back from a fun rehearsal. Had a small roast beef sandwich from Ralph's.
-
Good evening.
-
I went to the store today.
-
The expensive store - Metropolitan Market.
-
I know, I know. The excitement in my life never stops!
-
I had them slice some freshly roasted turkey, I got a container of dressing to go with the turkey; and I picked up some Oriental salad for lunch tomorrow.
-
And I got two Halloween cookies for dessert.
-
For what I spent at the market, I could have taken myself out to a nice steak and lobster dinner at Black Angus.
-
And I got two Halloween cookies for dessert.
Nice.

Goodnight

My cat just threw up. :P
-
Oh, I almost forgot!
Has anybody else heard the story swirling around New York, that FUNNY GIRL is coming back to Broadway starring Lady Gaga??
-
And that Rosie O’Donnell wants to play Fanny’s mother!

My cat just threw up. :P
Stop throwing up vibes to George’s kitty.

I hadn't heard that. She would be great.
-
And speaking of Lady Gaga, she was on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert a couple of weeks ago.
-
She was his only guest that episode.
-
I recorded it and just watched it.
-
She was engaging and I enjoyed the interview.
-
I really want to see the new A Star is Born.

And now...
