Well, you've read the notes, the notes were final, and now it is time for you to post until the final cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TOMFOOLERY!
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR vixmom, I hope there are copies of your resume getting passed about the area. You need out of that office ASAP.
-
As far as stress goes, I'm not far behind you. I'm beginning to fear a project occurring in early December that would get me out of this current debt will be postponed and that terrifies me.
-
No, things are not good here either.
-
And to add to the mess, yesterday afternoon my bank's ATM claimed that it gave me cash. No, it gave me a receipt telling me it had given me cash. I spent too much time on the phone yesterday trying to get the missing money put back into my account.
-
DR TCB, your post about last night's rehearsal did not sound happy. I hope there's a big turnaround in the situation soon.
-
DR Jeanne, that's good news about your periodontal situation.
-
One year ago today, Thatch's adoption agency provided me with this cage to help him, Annabelle, and me adjust to each other. The idea was Carol's, the nice lady who runs the pet adoption afency, and it was a lifesaver after nearly a week of hell.
It was really sweet; Annabelle climbed on top of the cage and reached one paw down to try to pet him, then she'd go the side, reach in and pet him. Being a little tough guy, he's not sure if he wants to be friendly yet, but he seemed to like watching the two of us play with the fishie on a pole and the catnip mouse.

Good morning, all.
-
I daresay ... this production could be the one that turns BK's hair gray! :D

That cage was a godsend.

Serious vibes of employment, health, and stress-free happiness for DRs vixmom, elmore, and all the rest of us.

That cage was a godsend.
It sure was.
It was also a hotbed of unrequited love between Annabelle and Thatch.
I noticed Thatch following Annabelle with his eyes. He sat in the front of his cage and watched her with what I thought might be infatuation, but when she approached the front of his cage, he retreated. Still, there were signs: the yearning when he watched her, the way he stretched up on his back legs, attempting to stick his front paws through the top of the cage and touch her as she slept, like Rapunzel, in her Amazon perch above him. Occasionally, when he lay sleeping on his little quilt that had come with Annabelle’s carrier, she stretched a front paw into the cage in an attempt to touch him.

Starting with vixmom's!
-
So, this afternoon I'm driving down to the Lower East Side to see Renascence.
http://transportgroup.org/project/renascence/
It closes this week and tonight was my last chance. A keyboard friend is playing in it (we played Addams together last spring, and are doing likewise this weekend for the silent film), and it's been getting raves all around. I greatly hope for an enjoyable evening at it.
-

Ditto.
-
I feel asleep last night and for the first time in a good while stayed asleep until 6:00.

VIBES FOR DR ELMORE that the early December job begins on time.
-
PLACES!!!!!
-
Vibes for DR VIXMOM.....
Vibes for DR ELMORE....

I do not want to teach choreography UNTIL the performers have learned the song....but that's just me....
-
Congrats to MR BK & Co on their preview.....
-
Good morning.
-
Well, well, well ...
-
Good morning!
-
Guess who called yesterday?
-
Vibes for DR vixmom!
-
If you guessed The Game Warden, you'd be correct.
-
Vibes for DR elmore!
-
I am feeling guilty about having such a nice vacation while some of us are having troubles.
-
I send hugs and good vibes to Vixmom, Elmore, TCB and others who need them.
-
Yesterday we were at California Adventures, and I had a good leg day.
-
We rode the wild mouse roller coaster and LOVED it. Sandra's stomach was queasy much of the day, we we didn't ride many spinny things.
-
Bye, everyone! I am off to Disneyland!
-
Wednesday morning greetings! First of all, thank you for Richard's birthday wishes to DRs:
Elmore
John G
George
TCB
JRand
Jane
Jeanne
KevinH
Vixmom
He liked those a lot better than the news from the eye doctor. It's time for his cataracts to be dealt with and he will be on the same surgical timetable I was on 2 years ago. Right eye the Thursday before New Year's and the left the Thursday after.
-
Eye surgery vibes for RICHARD.
-
Have fun DR LAURA!
-
Eye surgery vibes for RICHARD.
Thanks, DR JRand!
-
If you guessed The Game Warden, you'd be correct.
Oh joy.
-

I understand that though it is good you had a nice vacation.
-
Yesterday we were at California Adventures, and I had a good leg day.
I have not been there yet. Did you like it? Keith never wants me to go on a roller coaster again thinking I might break something.
-
Bye, everyone! I am off to Disneyland!
Say hello for me. It has been too long since I have been there.
-
Eye surgery vibes for RICHARD.
DITTO!

Who's looking out for Leonard?
-
And the word of the day is: TOMFOOLERY!
I love that show (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Tom-Foolery-1980-Original-London-Cast/3871/).
;)

I feel asleep last night and for the first time in a good while stayed asleep until 6:00.
Nice!

I do not want to teach choreography UNTIL the performers have learned the song....but that's just me....
That's been my experience, too. I think they had to do it this way because of the auditions for their next show. The music director for our show is music directing for the rest of their season. Hopefully, it won't happen like this again. ::)
-
Eye surgery vibes for RICHARD.
~~~DITTO!!~~~
Vibes for Vixmom!
Vibes for Elmore.
Vibes for TCB.
Game warden-free vibes for Laura.
And vibes for the rest of us.
~~~DITTO FOR ALL!!~~~
-
And now...
-
PAGE THREE DANCE!!
-
This morning I got the little skin cancer removed from my back and my bangs trimmed out of my eyes. I actually had time to eat breakfast in-between my appointments.
-
Such an exciting day.
-
Thank you, DRs George and Jane, for the eye surgery vibes for Richard. I’m hoping his experience is as smooth as mine.
-

ChasSmith (and anyone else), did you know that there's an Indiegogo campaign to record the cast album? Click HERE (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/renascence-original-cast-album-recording/x/5266254#/)!
It's got a ways to go, though.
-
The game Warden called DR LAURA while she was ON vacation??!!
-
Back from a Cobb salad and picking up one package.
-
The game Warden called DR LAURA while she was ON vacation??!!
I wonder if that was intentional.
-
DR Laura did the fires affect the crowds at Disneyland?
-
Since the person after my bang trim appointment cancelled I filled some of the time by getting my hair washed and blown dry. Of course it rained for the first time in awhile while we were walking this afternoon.
-
While it doesn't bother my elbow too much anymore to wash & dry my hair, drying it still hurts my shoulder. It is a treat when someone else does it for me.
-
I shall now be on my way to do an errand, and then go to the theater.
-
PT for my elbow would be a piece of cake (not really) if it weren't for my shoulder. The pain in my shoulder stops me faster than the pain in my elbow.

Yikes! :o
~~~Feel Better Vibes!!~~~
-
And on that note (F-natural), I'm going home. I don't have rehearsal tonight, and I don't have to be back until Sunday...so I won't. ;)
Until later!
-
I'm home from serving ice cold beer outdoors on an ice cold night.
-
I received a call shortly before leaving, telling me that my services wouldn't be needed, but I could come, eat and drink if I wanted to.
-
When I got there, I discovered that I could indeed help, because others were stuck in traffic.
-
So, I helped haul beer and ice to the booth, and then set things up.
-
When it was time for the booth to open, I handed out a few beers but realized that the booth was too small for four people. So, I went walking and eating and drinking for 90 minutes or so.
-
Some of the food was quite wonderful: old-fashioned chicken and dumplings, creamy cassoulet with clams and chorizo, gumbo, a vegetarian minestrone, all perfect for a chilly night.
A friend, whose name is Jeff White, created something he called White Trash Pierogi with pork belly and potato inside the pastry. He topped it with guacamole and sour cream. Really, really good.
-
I went back to the book for an hour or so, while the rest of the folks went out to eat. I was handing out Modelo, Pacifico and two types of Corona.
-
There were also some cocktails, one from a friend Robbie Nowlin, was really good. It was a gin gimlet with fresh herbs.
Robbie has just moved to LA, where he's the chef of a restaurant called Otium. I think the chef owner is opening a new place, and Robbie will be running this one.
-
The nastiest news story I saw today was that the Keurig people have created a machine that makes cocktails almost the same way the original makes coffee. Sounds disgusting. Cocktail pods.
OK, so they're not Tide pods, but they're almost just as bad.
-
The last of tonight's episode of Berlin Alexanderplatz is moving ever darker and deeper into the mind of our main character, part hero, part maniac and part criminal.
-
Finishing up Shampoo. This is one funny movie. And sad. Nixon is about to be elected (and we all know how that turned out). But the scene of Warren Beatty trying to cover up for the coupling farce by talking about layering Jack Warden's hair is priceless.
-
We need to get off this page.
-
Soon.
-
What's with this page three malarkey?
-
Let's move on ...
-
Four!
-
At last.
-
I hope Vixmom had a better day at work.
-
I hope all is well with Richard's eyes.
-
I hope TCB has a better rehearsal.
-
I hope George has a good rehearsal.
-
I hope BK and company have a great preview
-
I hope I get a good night's sleep soon.
-
Good night, all.
Gratuitous Post No. 99!
Thanks though I doubt my shoulder will ever improve after all these years. It will help if I can ever stop stressing it with the elbow exercises.
Yuck.
I have just begun reading The Library Book by Susan Orlean. It is about the 1986 fire in the Central Los Angeles library.
-
I hope George has a good rehearsal.
Actually, it was so good, I didn't have to be there!
;)
-
;D
-
Tonight at the rehearsal that I didn't attend, they learned the dance to "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out."
-
It's a big tap number for Miss Shields (the teacher) and the kids.
-
Back from our first preview (of two). Show ran VERY smoothly, only a couple of light cue flubs, still having some sound mixing issues but it was better tonight, and the pace was terrific (ninety minutes, like clockwork). A few little energy issues cropped up, but I gave notes about them (my last set of after show notes - any further notes come via e-mail). But I will say the final ten minutes of the show worked like a dream.
Gratuitous Post #111!
-
Good evening.
-
DR Elmore, don't worry about Leonard. My DH is at home taking care of the cats.
-
By the way, I want The Game Warden to call. I have been waiting for years for him to call.
-
Good evening.
-
Home from rehearsal.
-
We need to get off this page.
-
And quickly.
-
One more post.
Hi, Tom.
-
I guess I missed Laura.
-
Hi, George.
-
A few years ago, I managed to break my lifelong habit of biting my nails
-
In the last 24 hours I have an maged to chew all of them down to the point of making my fingers bleed.
-
I suppose it is preferable to a mental breakdown.
-
Or a bleeding ulcer.
-
No! :o
-
Thank you to one and all for the vibes and good wishes.
-
Financial vibes to DR Elmore.
-
Cataract surgery vibes to DH Richard.
-
TOM FOOLERY!!
-
Good night.
