Well, you've read the notes, the notes were selective notes, and now it is time for you to post until the selective cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TOURBILLION!
-
First post from Europe after BK!
-
I’m up from a nap. Lazy day so far.
-
Good morning

First on 5he east coasr

From my phone

My iPad won't connect to the interwebs

My third Day went great
-
How rheyre doing at the old job?
-
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn
-
Good morning, all.
-
Got a few blessed hours in which I can blessedly relax.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I went back to bed after feeding the cats. I was in the middle of a dream about Judy Blazer and my attempts to see my barber for a haircut when a phone call woke me.

BK’s story sounds like a pretty damning indictment of iTunes. That lack of options in file handling is outrageous.
As a relatively inexperienced Mac user (my Macbook is still used exclusively for music applications, and I’ve done nothing yet involving iTunes), I have yet to learn much of this. I have been continually warned by other friends to leave iTunes out of my life to the extent possible. I always figured some of that is hyperbole, but this story raises at least one question:
Does that system really not allow the TWO ways of mass file selection that Windows has since the beginning of time? — i.e., using one control key (Ctrl, in Windows) for individual or random selection, and another (Shift) to select an entire contiguous range? And shouldn’t something on BK’s display have indicated what was about to happen?
-
These are life’s questions as I munch a microwaved sausage and cheese on flatbread (which is surprisingly tasty) and sip Stew Leonard’s NYC Roast in the recliner.
-
I’d have a good answer to the TOD if I could ever commit to checking out more TV shows.
I really liked the mini-series THE TERROR (about the Arctic expedition). But what else have I watched? Damn it to hell.
-
Annabelle and I made our patrol. She's helping me with my housekeeping this morning. We've taken the recyclables to the basement, and npow she and Thatch want to help me make the bed. This bodes no good at all.
-
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn
😊😁❤
-
Have a good evening DR George.
-
DR Elmore’s bed making will now take about eighteen times longer (my professional estimate) than it normally would.

HA!
Opening night vibes for DR GEORGE & Co. We need photos of DR GEORGE in his Santy attire.

I am horrified by MR BK's experience.....it is a fear....of mine....that I will lose something the very same way.
As DR CHAS SMITH has already noted, it's pretty easy to correct a mistake like that in Windows.....my APPLE computer is in a cabinet with the door shut....last time I tried to boot it up, it went nowhere, so I am guessing it is at EOL....
-
Birdy Barnum got a new cocoanut hideway to go into when he is feeling shy.....as yet he has not looked inside of it. But he often sits in his food cup on top of his seed....so I figured he might need a place to "nest"....we shall see.
The new item meant that his honey seed stick had to be moved. He immediately approved of this because now he can climb a ladder and reach ALL of the seeds he likes.
-
TOD:
The Good Doctor
The Kids Are Alright
The Resident & 911
Only THE KIDS is new this season, but I only started watching the others regularly this season.
The Kids Are Alright is a Benjamin Kritzer-like look at growing up albeit set in the 1970's.....I am guessing it is taking the place with viewers for The Goldbergs whose kids are growing up fast....and which of course took the place sort of The Wonder Years....
-
TOD:
Bull
New Amsterdam
And I still like my old shows:
Law and Order: SVU
Madam Secretary
Mom
Big Bang Theory
Full Frontal with Samantha Bee
And I'm excited about the "Timeless" series finale which airs tonight.
-

Yep!
-
I do not have any of the streaming services so I know I am missing many things.....
-
I didn't like the CD player that I put in the newly revised Entertainment Room - so I was looking for a new one..... But a lot of the new CD BoomBox units don't seem to have 3.5 audio OUT (headphone) jack.
I looked at the usual places and even looked at Goodwill for several weeks. Then I realized I could use a DVD player....so I started looking at those.....many of those I saw only said DVD/BluRay and did not say CD, I didn't want to buy one that wouldn't work.
THEN this morning, I realized that I already HAVE a DVD player in my late father's room.....I looked and it says DVD/CD player....and not only that - I had an RCA male to 3.5 male cord to attach it to the sound bar in the Newly revised Entertainment room.
Shop on your shelves....
-
And that boring story takes us to PAGE TWO.

Thank you for Birdy news. I do miss my own birdy child.

I don’t watch TV anymore so I haven’t seen much of anything but The latest season of Poldark and Brokenwood Mysteries. But I did read the story about Bull in the news today. I have a feeling the harassment described was close to what Cybill Shepherd faced on another Glenn Gordon Caron show, Moonlighting.

The smell of grilled brats and bacon is filling the house. It’s a very good thing.
-
Thursday morning greetings! We’re going to trim our Christmas tree today.
-
Because there will be no euthanasia between Dec. 23 and Jan. 2, the ACC appears to be weeding out the kennels: ten dogs are on today's list to be murdered (two have been saved so far today, and the deadline for adopting a death row animal today just ended). I expect there will be at least ten dogs on tonight's and tomorrow's killing list.
-
It's beyond horrible, DR Elmore.
I'm glad some people do pay attention to these things (or get directed to them by others who do) and that they are able to go in and save a few of these babies.
But it's not enough.
I'm doing my damnedest to make the NYC Shelters no-kill shelters. Euthanasia has its place, but not for healthy adoptable animals. If you're going to call yourselves "Animal Care Centers," then care for them.
-
Woops! I accidentally deleted that post as you were quoting it! (Don't ask me what I was trying to do instead... Oy!)
Now I'm glad you did! :)
-
Good afternoon!
-
We’re watching a program about Siberia. They at least dance standard ballroom there in case I ever get exiled there.
-
You can bet alright that your Christmas will be white in cheery Siberia.
-
Thank you, Cole Porter.

Thanks, Jrand! I did have a couple of pictures taken, but they were taken in the dressing room and one of the actors behind me was changing and probably wouldn't want his exposed upper body even more exposed! I did a quick edit job and had to shrink them pretty small to get the file sizes under the HHW maximum. Here's the first one.
-
The blob off my right shoulder is the aforementioned exposed actor. And yes, that's a flask in my right hand just under the blob. :)
-
As you can see here:
-
And yes, I'm leaving the beard down around my neck!
-
The smell of grilled brats and bacon is filling the house. It’s a very good thing.
When I read this, my mind thought of the other definition of brats: spoiled children! :o
;)
-
And that reminded me of a John Fugelsang quote that I actually wrote down:
I always hated calling children "tots" until I realized it's a hybrid for the period between "toddlers" and "brats." ;D
-
Opening night vibes for DR GEORGE & Co.
Ditto!
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight and a half hours of sleep.
-
Great photos, DR George. Have a great opening.
-
As you can see here:
;D
-
I am enjoying the photos.
-
And yes, I'm leaving the beard down around my neck!
The better to drink with-lol

And be heard! The beard totally covered my mic and when I breathed, my breath hit the mustache (which would not stay stuck on my upper lip) and steamed my glasses!

vixmom, you seem so much happier this week.

Actually, that IS with a pad! >:(

Just as the work day was ending the bookkeeper walked through the office handing gout paychecks, including one to me for 5 days
-
Yes I was paid for tomorrow as well
-
I was quite surprised as usually you don't get paid until after you gave completed a full week, I was expecting to be paid next Friday for this week

Opening night vibes for DR George and company!
-
Went to Gelson's and got stuff for sandwiches, including some hand-carved turkey - came home and made two sandwiches - really good. I also set up Skype, which apparently I'd already set up at some point and had no memory of. That's for an interview tomorrow.
-
Why is Rick Horner still listed as the director?
They haven't updated the poster. The program will should be correct.
-
Then Robert Yacko called and said he was going to Jerry's Deli to treat himself to a birthday lunch, so I went and joined him and that was fun.
-
Then I picked up a few packages and came home.
-
Listening to music, choosing songs, and relaxing.
-
DR GEORGE is SKINNY!
Well, kind of.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ROBERT YACKO!
-
Fedex once again said the business was closed and did not attempt to deliver the package. Aside from the fact there are delivery boxes, Craig was home.
-
UPS delivered a box to Bryan but USPS said he wasn't home. His mail was delivered so the package must not have been on the regular mail truck.
-
Thank goodness Bryan was able to pick up his birthday gift from Fedex. He even saved it to open later.
-
He was disappointed to learn my Christmas gift came in a box with a gift box included but not used. He thought they were going to put the gift inside of the box instead of shipping the gift box flat ;D
-
Listening to music.
-
Donald Moffat died - eighty-seven, nice long and wonderful life. What an actor he was. As some here know, we did a play together at the Mark Taper Forum in 1973 and then a year later we filmed it for PBS - I used to watch him work - no BS, no actor crap - he came in, knew his lines, and did his work. So professional. And brilliant. I saw him about twelve years ago in NY - we had a nice chat and caught up. He was one of a kind - dependable, and you always knew you'd get a top-notch performance.
-
I just watched Moffat in Tartuffe with Tammy Grimes. Wonderful performance.
-
I should be asleep.

That is just strange.

Happy birthday, Robert Yacko!
-
Happy opening night to George!
-
Finished with my viewing - finally a good movie, but one I almost didn't watch because of some truly inane reviews. They're too busy praising the dreadful Mary, Queen of Scots and other movies I can't sit through.
-
Now, get me off this damn page.
-

That is just strange.
The gift boxes were free and flat for easy shipping.

Good evening.
-
Five and a half hours (so far) on page four? Are you fricken kidding me?
-
Where is everyone?
-
It is not yet the holiday.
-
The entire evening has passed on page four.
-
I hope George’s opening went well.
-
Jane, you asked if i contacted the girl who received the jar of good wishes.
-
Yes, I wrote to her, and I sent a thank you note to Aaron (the director).
-
Neither one has responded to me.

I am really beginning to think that I must be a real jerk.
-
I got a Harry and David fruitcake today - I bought it and they sent it pronto. I've been craving a fruitcake. Now, the photo on their site from whence I ordered would lead you to believe this thing was quite big. It isn't. It's quite small as in tiny.

Oh, no! My sister really liked him.
-
I was going to send an email tomorrow to the cast and crew (minus the stage manager) just saying it was going to be strange not hanging out with them on another Friday night.
-
Maybe I shouldn’t bother.
-
Hi, George.
-
Happy opening night to George!
Thanks, Fred! The show went quite well for the most part. "No minor traumas, no major headaches." ;D
-
Hi, Tom.
-
I hope George’s opening went well.
Thanks, Tom! It did!

I’m glad the show went well. Was it sold out?
-
I’m glad the show went well. Was it sold out?
I doubt it. I was told that the theater has 800+ seats.
-
Last year’s TV version of CHRISTMAS STORY was on FOX tonight.
-
There seemed to be a lot of people, but I have no idea how many people were there. I really couldn't tell how full it was.
-
Last year’s TV version of CHRISTMAS STORY was on FOX tonight.
I saw that it was on. I actually bought it because it was actually available on Blu-ray. Very few of these live musical have been released on Blu-ray, only DVD.
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
