T.O.D.
At 11 AM, I am going to the airport to pick up my dear wife, Sandy, who is returning from Los Angeles.
Then, we will probably go out and have a typical Jewish Christmas meal: Chinese.
It's going to be a quiet day. I do not want to leave the apartment, and this may be the first Christmas in ages I was invited nowhere, so it actually worked out fine.
This morning I am going out for a late breakfast with my brother Mike and his wife....he considers 9 a.m. late - so that's when we're going....to the Pancake House.....

I have never had Chinese food on Christmas, but then my family celebrated Christmas.
Hugs, JRand.

You don't know what you're missing.
:D
I've opened all my Christmas cards. Randy sent two envelopes, one for Thatch and one for Annabelle. Only hers arrived yesterday, so I expect Thatch's to arrive tomorrow. I think I'll hold hers till then.

And the word of the day is: BENISON!
No middle-of-the-night doorbell ringing last night.
Thank you all for the good wishes. I am feeling better this morning.
The Do was very fun! Mark and I went to get the traditional peanut butter pie from House of Pies and found a very long line of people going out the door waiting for pies. We stood there for about 10 minutes before it dawned on me to go inside and ask if they even had peanut butter pie. There was only one year they didn't have it and that was the very first year we tried to get it. After that, I always called ahead and reserved it, but then two years ago they said they weren't reserving pies anymore, but rest assured they would have it. And they always did until last night. They said they were out. And considering we were already running late, we left. Now that I've joined the smart phone world with my iPhone 7, Mark told me to find the location of K's Donuts. We found K's Donut Emporium in Studio City and figured that had to be it. We went there and it was closed. We got to Bruce's and he told us we went to the wrong K's. I was glad someone else went and got the famous chocolate and peanut butter donuts. I tried a small piece of one and it was a amazing!
We Skype with the Vixter and Vixbeau for about 2 hours as we had breakfast and opened presents and pulled our Christmas crackers together

Gosh, I hate to wrap presents!
The only thing I hate more than wrapping presents is buying gift bags!(I wouldn't mind wrapping presents if I was better at it.)
Or that the film Robert Altman made of the stage flop Cher was in "Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean..." somehow had a big reversal in critical regard, when the film was surprisingly good and Cher's performance even got some real notice that exceeded what had been felt onstage.
Hugs, JRand. It's a tough day today. I'm glad you have other family there with you.
Dessert will be leftover chocolate layer cake from last nights birthday celebration
I saw the K's Donuts (spelled exactly the same as the one I love) in Studio City about a year ago when I was seeing something at Theatre West. I was confused by it, frankly, and the next day went to the real K's and asked if they'd opened a second branch - they said no and they weren't too happy that someone was using their name - clearly the Studio City location is trying to use the very well known (in the Valley) K's name to confuse. Why else would anyone want to have the same name as another donut store that's only three or four miles away?

Thanks to DR AMY for the "do" report.
Glad DR TCB is feeling better.
Thanks to all for the vibes. I am doing pretty good.
I had a Western Omlette this morning....No DR JANE it is the ORIGINAL....it is the local BlueBerry Hill Pancake House.....with no known antecedents that I know of....
Well, we are several hours behind schedule today. I went to pick up Wae-Ling and found I had a flat tire. I came back to get our other vehicle, and shortly after I left the second time, I got a call from the neighbor that there was someone banging on my door and shouting. We drove around a long while, afraid to go home. The consensus was that I was going to have to face the situation. It went surprisingly well, considering.
So now we are behind in our cooking. Sigh.
After my talk with Randy and Jo, the cats and I lay on my bed and watched TV. Our talk has me thinking about relocating to Ohio, since I'm feeling more than I have in the past four years that my career is careering to an end. If I'm going to live in poverty with two cats, I can do it cheaper in Ohio. I've spent part of the day pondering the logistics: Medicare and my HMO, living space, Annabelle's Broadway ambitions . . .
Merry Christmas to all my new friends here at HHW, also to dear cats and birds and other assorteds. Health vibes for all and theater vibes for all that still do them. Eat well today as Christmas meals have no calories.

This was the weirdest Christmas ever.
We'll see
Lovely photo from The Do! It sounds as if it were a wonderful occasion enjoyed by all - AGAIN.
I also liked the pictures of the show that DR GEORGE posted....fun!
I heard kids talking under my window earlier this afternoon.....I looked out and they were in the rock garden doing something....I yelled at them and they stood up and said "Get out of my yard!" I had to yell since it was through the window.
One kid said SORRY.....they ran across the street. It was the three grade school age brothers who visit their divorced father now and then.....I yelled because I thought they were the monsters from the drug house down the street.
I watched them for a minute....they must have gotten a drone for Christmas....they were flying it around while standing in the street....I felt bad when I realized it was them....but too late....one of them even yelled back "Sorry" as they ran home....
Nice pics from DR George. I don't know if the play is better than the movie I have never been able to watch all the way through. I understand Tom's reaction.
DR TCB, VIBES you are feeling well enough to celebrate today.
Hugs, JRand.Ditto!

I am sure Keith would love those peanut butter donuts from K's.

Had a wonderful visitation with the Darling Daughter. I made her leftover spaghetti, she had tuna pasta salad, we opened presents, she gave me two count them two cherry loafs (my favorite), and then we took a fun and very funny drive. Once home we watched some YouTube stuff she'd never seen. She's on her way back to her mother now for a dinner. This is one of her favorite things that I did - we found it somehow on Vimeo - from the HBO comedy show Likely Stories, circa 1983. Enjoy if you dare: https://vimeo.com/107304641
I have no clue as to why my ankle hurts, yet it does and I am having trouble walking on it. I iced the area that is tender.
All health food!
I withdraw the question. She is an airhead.
