Well, you've read the notes, the notes called, and now it is time for you to post until the calling cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SQUIGGLE!
-
First post after BK!
-
Topic of the Day: the first thing that came to mind was the movie musical version of Oliver!, and both Mark Lester as Oliver and Jack Wild as The Artful Dodger.
-
I'm sure that there are more, but that's all I can think of right now.
-
And now, time for bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Hello.
-
Ha Long Bay was even more beautiful than I imagined. A bonus was a large beautiful cave we walked through.
-
The bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies" was filmed here.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Before I head to City Center this morning, I will call the vet for an appointment for Annabelle. I hope I can get one late this afternoon, but tomorrow will be fine.
-
Then on Friday, I will take Thatch in for his booster shot.
-
Good morning
-
After work yesterday I ran to the supermarket
-
Then I popped up to church to gather the rest of the used linens and to put away some of the Christmas decorations
-
Then I came home and plugged in my phone which had failed to charge when plugged in at work
-
Then I put away the groceries
-
And made dinner.. Salisbury steak, potatoes and green beans
-
Then noticed my phone hadn't charged
-
I asked Vixdad if I could use his charger
-
He took a look and tried plugging the charger into his phone
-
It charged just fine
-
So he tried swapping batteries, my battery charged just fine in his ohine
-
So he thinks I need anew phone
-
I am beside myself because of all the photos and texts I have on that phone , I hope they can be saved
-
I am going to try the phone store at lunch time
-
Though it may be better to go after work, the phone store visits always seem to take a lot of time
-
We also had a nice long chat with the Vixter and made some plans for our time together at the end of a January
-
And then, as Tom suspected, I fed my addiction
-
T.O.D.
Patty Duke in THE MIRACLE WORKER,
followed closely by my starring role in my first grade play, THE STORY OF GINGHAM LENA.
I played a stuffed dog that got lost and my little brokenhearted mistress had to find me.
My mother made my costume, and I was brilliant!
-
Good morning.
-
Good morning Laura
-
Annabelle and I will see Dr. Mohr at 4:00 today. I hope we can clear this mess up!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning!

Have I mentioned that the updated tax forms I've seen are scarily easy and logical to follow?
Good for most of America; I keep wondering if so many people who don't have businesses will just do it themselves. Businesses still will want to have accountants, also individuals with businesses.
-
Sorry for being away from HHW as much as I have been. Not so much for what I have to say, but to add to the posting totals.:)
-
Then on Friday, I will take Thatch in for his booster shot.
Too bad you can't take them at the same time.

Carol Reed, who directed OLIVER!, had also (years earlier) directed FALLEN IDOL, which starred Bobby Henrey,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Henrey
who I worked (he was one of the main bosses of the department) for several years in the 1980s when he became a top expert in international tax at what was then Coopers and Lybrand.

Not mentioned yet:
Freddie Bartholomew in "Captains Courageous"
Rowdy McDowall "How Green Was My Valley"

I forgot Tatum O’Neal in Paper Moon
-
Good morning, all.
-
And just in time. It's five minutes till noon.
-
We got just a touch of the lower edge of the northeastern snowstorm last night, and there was about a quarter of an inch of snow on the ground this morning. The grass wasn't even entirely covered.
YAY!!!!! That's how I want the rest of the year's storms to be! :D
-
TOD
Patty Duke in THE MIRACLE WORKER.
Hayley Mills in everything she did. (Even if it's something I didn't see. She gets a pass.) :)
There are many other good ones. But I am brain dead this morning, and it's okay by me if these two gals get to sit in first place.
-
Elmore, what think you of the saving of the Drama Bookshop?’
Is this about the new Drama Book Shop owners?
I haven't been keeping up on any of it, but much as I had my issues as a Drama Book Shop employee, it's a great specialist bookstore and I hope it continues.
-
I am home from City Center. Joshie is working his butt off for the reading on Thursday, and he may need me tomorrow. I'm relaxing with the cats until Annabelle and I make out vet trip at 3:30.
-
The three kids in To Kill A Mockingbird.

It's almost time to leave for the vet. I just want to know she's okay.

Tuesday afternoon greetings!
Remember me? I'm so sorry to have been E & T here. I had a big project for which the deadline was yesterday and, now that that's DONE, I'm back to regularly scheduled programming. Will tell you more about it in a minute.
-
My cousin Carolyn passed away last night.....she was the daughter of my late father's oldest sister.....she was one of eight, and now there is one left....my cousin Edie.....
DR JRand, I'm so sorry. Condolences to you and all who love Carolyn...

So, I belong to Middletown Current Events Club. If you've read Helen Hooven Santmeyer's novel And Ladies of the Club, you have an idea how this group works. It's a delightful group of women who meet monthly from October to May and most months a member presents a paper on an assigned topic. Our theme this year is Cincinnati Landmarks and I was assigned to present yesterday on Spring Grove Cemetery. I'd received the assignment in June and had been working pretty hard on it since October 18, when Richard and I spent the day there. Finalizing my presentation was complicated by my eye problem, Christmas, Richard's eye surgeries, and my cold, but I got it done and it was very well-received yesterday.
-
I futzed and finessed, and then wrote almost three new pages. Now I'll go to the mail place to ship something and then I'll get something to eat, then I'll resume writing.
-
Condolences to DR JRand!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So sorry, Jack.
-
And we are home and I am bankrupt: $220.00.
Ouch!
-
Thank you to everyone for the condolences. No arrangements details are available yet....but I am sure they will be online by tomorrow.
-
Glad to hear ANNABELLE is in recovery.
WOW! DR GINNY I would guess that you had quite an interesting presentation!
-
Continued writing vibes for MR BK.
-
Glad to hear from DR FJL that the tax forms are easier this year.
-
I wonder if there is photographic evidence of DR DRUXY's performance?
-
Sorry to hear the news, DR Jrand68.
-
Glad to hear ANNABELLE is in recovery.
WOW! DR GINNY I would guess that you had quite an interesting presentation!
Ditto about Annabelle!
The ladies seemed to enjoy my presentation and shared some stories of their own about the cemetery.
-
Spring Grove has to be one of the most classically beautiful places I’ve ever seen.
-
My sympathies, JRAND.
-
Good news, Ginny. Glad all went well.
-
Until just before we left City Vet, Annabelle was the only cat in the lobby. There was a cute 5-month old bulldog owned by a man about my age. I thought the pup's tail had been cut off too close to the body. The other man in the lobby had a small dog, weight around 15-20 lbs, I'd guess, who was 17 years old. I never would have guessed that.
-
Back from shipping stuff and picking up no packages or mail.
-
Had Popeye's for lunch - two chicken breasts. Hadn't had in over a year and it was very good.
-
And now, back to writing.
-
Spring Grove has to be one of the most classically beautiful places I’ve ever seen.
It is, indeed, DR ChasSmith! I loved doing the research for my paper.
-
Good news, Ginny. Glad all went well.
Thanks, DR John G! And I’m glad it’s over...

Aww, I am sad for you.

I am sure you are.
-
Good vet appointment vibes!
-
About six pages so far and will do another two then take a break.
-
Nine pages and break time.
-
Jrand - condolences to you and the whole family.
-
Congratulations, Ginny, that everything went so well yesterday!

-
We are off to Hoi An for the day.
-
Thank you, DRs FJL and Jane!
-
I am so sorry to hear about Carolyn, Jack. I send you ((hugs))) and deepest condolences. May your memories bring you comfort
-
BTW I loved AND LADIES OF THE CLUB, enough to read it twice.
-
We have driven an hour of our 75 minutes drive to Hoi An. We passed the cool looking Dragon Bridge.
-
I went to AT& T and the young man there to.d me I needed new charging port and suggested I go to the screen fixit store down the road
-
The young man there told me he could fix it for $50 but he has to order parts
-
I ordered the parts but I am now reconsidering.
-
I can get the latest version of my phone for about what it cost Elmore at the vet today
-
Then I watched a episode of Dexter before going to the dentist
-
I got my checkup and cleaning
-
I have another crown in my future
-
I think at this point I've got more crowns than Elizabeth R
-
Then I came home, did some laundry and watched another 2 Dexters
-
Vixdad wasout at a workfunction
-
Finally got my tv fixed. Had to get a whole new dvr and as a result, I lost everything I had recorded. Now i'm trying to remember what I had recorded so I can try to find it to re-record it. I know I had at least nine movies and have only remembered an scheduled one. Sigh.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Glad Jan's TV is working again.
-
Got a little salad from Gelson's and as soon as I'm done with it back to the writing. Must do at least six more pages.

Congrats on the fixed TV and the new DVR, but I know what it's like to lose recorded programs. :P I feel your pain!
-
This past weekend, I recorded Love, Gilda, a documentary on CNN about Gilda Radner.
-
I would like to see that, George.
-
I recorded it to my DVD burner to make a DVD.
-
But first, I'm going through the program and cutting out the commercials.
-
It's hard to believe that she died in 1989 at age 42.
-
The day Gilda died was the final night of a play I was in...I think it was Sorrows of Stephen...anyway the cast party was at my house and we turned in Saturdaynight live .. they announced Gilda was gone and they ran a tape of one of her skits.. she and (I think) Steve Martin dancing.. no words if my memory serves.. it was sort of a dream ballet sequence.
We all stood there silently watching the tv and crying.
-
I don't know how long they were together, but she and Gene Wilder were only married for a little more than four and a half years.
-
I would like to see that, George.
I can send you a copy.

I would appreciate that very much, George!

Twelve pages, and now a brief break to shower, then I'll try to do another page or two before writing the notes, and then another page or two after that.

That was a great skit and a perfect tribute to her memory.
-
Good evening.
-
That was weird. I took a nap this afternoon, woke up in time to listen to what’s his name, then fell back to sleep.
-
I just woke up about ten minutes ago.
-
I probably won’t sleep tonight.
-
Hi, George.
-
I have to catch up on today’s posts.
-
I had lunch with my friend, Sharry, today.
-
She opens Friday in FORBIDDEN BROADWAY GREATEST HITS.
-
I guess I missed chatting with vixmom tonight.
-
I had some change spy dream while I was asleep.
-
Probably because NCIS, NEW ORLEANS was playing away while I was asleep.
-
I couldn’t tell you if the story was the same.
