Well, you've read the notes, the notes were imponderable, and now it is time for you to post until the imponderable cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HORTATIVE!
-
First post after BK.
-
Second post after BK!

Good thoughts and prayers to BK for whatever is causing his funk.

I prefer to have all my bill paying controlled by me and my credit union. All I have to do is type in an amount and hit, “PAY.” It is pretty simple.

I understand that. I still do have control. I can stop any payment at any time or dispute a payment, so it's not totally out of my hands. And I still have to keep track of it all in my Excel spreadsheet checkbook register.
-
Well, it's time for my evening ablutions, then I must get some sleep.
Good night, Tom, and have a good day, all!
-
Wrote another couple of pages. Taking some aspirin and going to bed now.

We enjoyed visiting with people in the smoking room tonigjt. Keith finishec his last cigat as he doesnt want to have to declare any tobacco in Singapore. I enjoyed my scotch and potato chips.
-
DR TCB we have to be out of our cabins by 8:30 am and be off the ship by 9:30.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Big vibes for BK.
-
We were left with just a dusting from phase one of the storms. One of those morning blessings you gotta love.
-
This means we're in the clear until Sunday's snow "event", and right now that's looking like 3" to 6" as opposed to the tons of
sh crap the rest of the region to the north of us will be getting.
-
Enjoy the clear weather while it lasts.

Last night I followed through with my plan to watch THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD, and had a great time with it. It was the perfect thing for the evening.
You know what's always wonderful about these anthologies, along with everything else? The casting. As I go through them I might find an exception or two to that, but this one scores 100. Of course Lee and Cushing are impeccable in their every role, but all of the supporting cast -- Denholm Elliott, Ingrid Pitt, the wonderful young Chloe Franks -- are a gift. The score is fine and quite HAUNTING-ish, as BK said.
So, the UK DVD is the winner except for the inevitable PAL speedup, but nothing about that bothered me on this film. The US one includes a 17-minute interview with Amicus producer Max Rosenberg which is perfectly enjoyable, but the UK one has an audio commentary I want to hear, and a few other goodies. I shall eventually have to upgrade to the Blu-ray and hope that Shout! Factory did a good job with it.
-
Moving on, I've got this evening free and clear, so tonight ... another anthology.
-
Good morning.
-
Good morning. I hope you had a quiet evening.
-
Tomorrow Singapore 😊
-
Good night.
-
Good morning!
-
Sorry to hear about the puppy, DR elmore.

Vibes for BK
-
Good morning, all!

Joshie is in Las Vegas to see Lady Gaga, so I have the long weekend to myself. I want to finish up the How To Succeed . . . piano-conductor score, and then seriously get into my 2018 taxes. I got my first 1099 yesterday from Social Security.
-
Thatch has been playing with his catnip ball and his singing bird this morning. Annabelle has been quietly reserved. She's waiting for our patrol to cut loose. She's lately taken to making our patrol a game of tag.
-
Good morning.
-
BK, thanks for the recommendation to Glory Crampton. Several years ago, she called me about work, we had a lovely discussion, and then I never heard anything. Liz Callaway did the same thing last spring.
-
No more funky fone calls and dealing with it VIBES for MR BK.
-
YES at last my review has posted. Of course NOW I notice a few punctuation and other little mistakes that I have to fix.
I thought it was a rave, but I guess MR BK didn't think so.....

DR JANE writes: Between 1798 and 1904, the Angkor Wat area was controlled by Siam. The Siam king was so impressed with the Angkor Wat temple that he ordered an exact replica be built on the palace grounds. (That’s what I’m standing near.)

You can edit them, DR Jrand68. Of course, these days one never knows whether doing so could cause it to be sent back through the horse.
-
I am cursed: my HMO still has not credited my account for last year's missing check, and the post office has lost a Priority Mail package that should have been delivered last Monday.
-
After Hancho's murder, this is some good news. On Jan. 4, the ACC put Curry up on their kill list. Because they had assessed him as a non-adoptable dog for behavioral reasons - usually it's trouble acclimating to the ACC from fear and depression - he could only be saved by a Rescue agency acting for an adopter or seeing something hopeful in rescuing the animal. Curry was luckily rescued by a group specializing in training dogs to be support animals for traumatized soldiers.
The first photo shows him in the ACC around Jan. 4; the other two are Curry at the rescue home.
-
Jrand, of course I thought it was a rave and loved it.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.

Good afternoon to all

I just read that Nick Redman has died. BK, did you know? This is so sad.
-
Yes, that was the call I was alluding to in the notes. I've had to sit on it but now it's out.
-
Terrible news.
-
As announced in VARIETY
(https://variety.com/2019/film/news/nick-redman-documentary-filmmaker-and-soundtrack-producer-dead-1203111967/)
-
Sorry to hear about Nick Redman's passing. I enjoyed all his work over the years
-
He was one of my closest friends for thirty years. Yesterday and last night was very difficult.
-
Can't even imagine.
-
Tonight's watching plans are cancelled.
I want to honor Nick Redman and his lovely Julie Kirgo by hearing their beautiful voices and banter on a couple of film commentaries. Can't think of anything better to do.
-
I'm so sorry for your loss, Bruce.
-
He was one of my closest friends for thirty years. Yesterday and last night was very difficult.
I am so sorry, BK.
-
On today's ACC kill list, there were three dogs a year old or younger. I understand the one to be killed is little one year-old Joshua.
-
Such sad news. So sorry for your loss MR. BK.
-
It did not mean to chide you about the review.....
-
Yes, that was the call I was alluding to in the notes. I've had to sit on it but now it's out.
Bruce I am very sad to read the sad news about Nick and for the loss of your dear friend :'(
-
JRand thank you for sharing one of my favorite photos from the trip. I LOVED that building. Oh, and Keith writes my travel blog.

-
Friday evening greetings.
Yes, that was the call I was alluding to in the notes. I've had to sit on it but now it's out.
BK, I’m so sorry to hear about Nick. Condolences to you, his family, and all who love him...
-
Nick was very pragmatic about it all and has been for the two years this has been going on. And I know him well enough to know he would not want people to be sad, but would want them to celebrate his spirit, life, and accomplishments. I can say now that the new book will be dedicated to him. He is one of the dedicatees of Rewind.
-
Had an interesting meeting about a project someone wants me to do - not sure if I want to yet. I'll read and listen and then decide.
-
Had a Cobb salad for my meal o' the day.
-
Richard and I went out for lunch again today because we expect to be weather-bound for the next couple of days at least. Last night the Channel 5 weather guy said he wasn’t sure what form our precipitation would take, but he was SURE there’ll be a lot of it.
-
Then I picked up some packages - screeners mostly - then came home. I futzed and finessed for an hour, and then wrote three new pages. I have less to do today because I'd done two extra last night. So, about twelve more to go. In a little while I'll try to do six or seven of the twelve, then I'll take a break.
-
Tonight the weather guy says we’re in the 6-9 inches of snow range - and that’s after several hours of freezing rain :P

I really liked her in Maury Yeston's Phantom (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Phantom-1992-Studio-Cast/2966), but had forgotten that she was on several recordings for BK (http://castalbums.org/people/Glory-Crampton/19277) (click on the "Show Compilations" button to see them all).

Wow! Great picture!

I am sure his life will be celebrated but of course it is impossible not to be sad. You are going to miss him so very much.

Yes, poor baby Joshua was today's murder victim.

Yes, very nice.

I want to watch YOU so much. But I don't have netflix so I'll have to wait until it comes out on dvd. I didn't love the first book. But the second one was really good. And I love the cast. This series is very popular, especially amongst those in the book world. So many people I know have watched it. :(
-
Thanks George. Unfortunately I did not find any keychains that said Angkor Wat or of the Palace.
-
BK I am so sorry to hear about Nick. My condolences to you and his family. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
We are leaving the ship 😊
-
Thanks George. Unfortunately I did not find any keychains that said Angkor Wat or of the Palace.
That's okay, Jane. Thanks for looking!
-
I guess I've done between seven and eight pages, and have just started a new chapter. Now I'll take a break for an hour or two.
-
Today I saw "Stan and Ollie," which is of course about Laurel and Hardy. I enjoyed it very much. The leads (Steve Coogan and John C Reilly) were really great.
-
I am so very sorry fir your loss, BK
-
Vibes of comfort to all who love Nick
-
I'm so sorry for your sad news, BK.
-
And now, I need to leave work and go home.
Until later.
-
I'm having such a crazy annoying time, mainly regarding the former DR Julie, and the last times this has happened and I brought that mood here, some folks got bothered by it, and that's something I don't want to do.
(although one of those crab-fests did result in the quirky title "My dead aunt thanks you" so it wasn't all useless bile :)
-
BK - I'm so sorry to read about Nick. Condolences to you and all of his friends and family.
-
Crab-fest sounds almost like a clambake. (an Elvis film reference and a Carousel song reference)
-
I will celebrate Nick’s life in the near future by listening to him on one of his film commentaries.
-
Off to slumberland before tomorrow’s competition.
-
Thirteen pages - another two at some point between now and midnight. Thank goodness I have this book, that's all I can tell you. Taking a music break, then I'll probably take a hot shower, then continue. I actually wrote the Nick tribute last night, so the notes won't take long.
-
I was watching TV and flipping through the on-the-TV-Comcast-guide and saw that tonight's Great Performances was Orphee et Eurydice from Lyric Opera of Chicago.
-
I turned on my TV and started watching it at about 10:10, but the program started at 9:00.
-
DR George did you receive an email from me with a photo of the ship's carpet?
-
I do not like this page four malarky, I really do not.
-
I then did a seach to see if it was going to be on again, but this was the only showing. :(
-
DR George did you receive an email from me with a photo of the ship's carpet?
I haven't checked my e-mail, yet! Let me look right now.
-

I just checked and I don't have an e-mail from you...at least, not yet. :-\
-
Good evening.
-
Page 4? Seriously?
-
Gratuitous Post #100!
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Hi, George.
-
We need to get off this page.
-
Let’s crack the whip.
-
Before the whip cracks us.
-
DR George did you receive an email from me with a photo of the ship's carpet?
I haven't checked my e-mail, yet! Let me look right now.
I just checked and I don't have an e-mail from you...at least, not yet. :-\
I sent it several days ago, before I lost the internet from my phone. At least I thought it sent I shall do so again.
-
I went and finally took my pee test, which I was suppose to have done over a month ago.
-
This is the test to prove that I do take drugs.
-
Last year, I ended up paying $300.00 for this stupid test.
-
I thought DR Laura would appreciate the carpet. My comment was "I hope I don't get seasick".
I did get a little seasick but not enough for it to matter.
-
That was due to a billing error, and it took me almost six months for them to refund my payment.
-
This is the test to prove that I do take drugs.
I understand this part but did not realize you had to pay for it. Does insurance cover any of it?
-
That was due to a billing error, and it took me almost six months for them to refund my payment.
Darn but the good news is you don't normally pay for it.
-
Thanks George. Unfortunately I did not find any keychains that said Angkor Wat or of the Palace.
How about one that says, “Angkor Away”?
-
DR George did you receive an email from me with a photo of the ship's carpet?

I'll let you know when (if) it arrives.
-
Last year, I ended up paying $300.00 for this stupid test.
Yikes! Was it the same price this time?
-
That was due to a billing error, and it took me almost six months for them to refund my payment.
That's terrible!
-
How could it take so long for the refund?
-
George you should have received the email sent from my phone.
-
Last year, I ended up paying $300.00 for this stupid test.
Yikes! Was it the same price this time?
I’ll wait and see when they bill me.

-
George you should have received the email sent from my phone.
Here it is...I had to smallerize it, though:
-
Nice picture, Jane!
-
How could it take so long for the refund?
It took them that long to admit they billed the wrong insurance.
-
BK, I was so sorry to read about Nick. My condolences to you and to his family on his passing.
-
George you should have received the email sent from my phone.

No wonder Jane was seasick!
-
George, how come your pictures don’t transfer when I quote you?
-
Ahhhh, I am listening to the OBC of MAMMA MIA. I like the Seattle cast better.
-
Have any of our regulars seen ROCK OF AGES?
-
George, how come your pictures don’t transfer when I quote you?
Because they're in the HHW photo uploader place, and not hot-linked from a website.
-
Have any of our regulars seen ROCK OF AGES?
I saw a tour at the Washington Center here in Olympia several years ago.
-
The 5th Avenue in Seattle is billing the show as a hysterical comedy. I have never heard that about the show before.
-
George, how come your pictures don’t transfer when I quote you?
Because they're in the HHW photo uploader place, and not hot-linked from a website.
I didn’t know that we had a HHW photo uploaded place.
-
Jane appears and disappears faster and more often than Endora on BEWITCHED.
