If I can keep Annabelle under control.
A Very Happy Birthday to (occasional) DR Dear Lurker Iris!!
If I can keep Annabelle under control.
Excerpt from Annabelle's diary:
Lots to accomplish today in the house reorganization department.
If I can keep the Maid under control.
And a happy birthday to dear lurker Iris, who occasionally posts when the fancy strikes her.

I watched a couple of episodes of Documentary Now! on IFC. They were pretty funny, although Bill Hader is not my cup of tea.
It is said that they do a parody of the documentary of the filming of the recording of the COMPANY cast album to be broadcast on February 20....I hope I remember to watch it.
Came home to the news that Grant's mom passed away this morning - totally expected. 99 years old, she'd stopped eating a few days ago, and when old folks do that it is saying clearly that they want to pass. We were hoping she'd make it to 100 in August, because she would have come to Kritzerland that night, whose hundredth show that will be. And of course, without her there would be no GEE, as she was the inspiration for the character in the first half of the book. It's not about her life or anything, but if you read the first three words of the book, that is totally her and was what made me want to do the book.
My sympathies to Grant, his family and all who loved his mom.

DR FJL keep the appointment.....
In addition to losing MGM-HD, the relative number of HD movie channels on Comcast/Xfinity is shockingly low. Browsing through them, sometimes it feels like I’ve taken a trip back ten or fifteen years.
Our internet and phone service with them are exceptional. I wouldn’t even dream of shopping around in that regard. But there are times when I feel like their television offerings were better in the past.
The annual deductibles are done so oddly. It seems there's an amount they charge for a visit that's "full price" if the patient pays it but the insurance company has bargained a lower amount that the providers normally accept as their full payment if payment is coming from the insurance company. There is no such strangeness if you can make sure your dedcbitble for the year is taken up by prescriptions, which though it's one deductible, is a different corporation which accepts then same amount whether the patient pays the full amount or the pharmaceutical insurer pays it.
!!!!!
Jeanne, I may try to convert it into a physical, which Im entitles to "free" once a year, since I have no symptoms from this now.

I think you're the first person I've ever heard say that. Usually, as soon as Comcast is mentioned people immediately say how horrible it is.

The taxes are finished. As an added bit of luck, the last 1099 I was waiting on arrived in today's mail. That was a nice surprise.
It was a beautiful sunny day today in the Gulf of Where ever we are.
We are the first off the ship tomorrow morning.
At the end of the tour, they will dump us at the airport where we will sit around and wait for our plane that leaves at 5:30.
Hopefully home by 10:00.
Much of last week was spent dealing with a thorny--and completely unexpected--tax issue. I had to dig deep into the document archives, but I think I found most of what I need. The problem isn't over yet, but it is progressing.

Then you would have to postpone the appointment? I hope it isn't early in the morning.
Jane, I did recline in a lounge chair this afternoon so I could soak up some sun.
Since I don’t know their last name or cabin number, I can only hope we see them in the morning.
I would hate to not keep in contact with them, but I guess some cruise friendships aren’t meant to go beyond the cruise.
It's been a very long day and my head is so congested that it hurts when I move it. I hope sleep is not going to be hard. Damn allergies.
Very strange and eerie that Facebook is now suggesting that I befriend Nick Redman.
