Well, you've read the notes, the notes were new/old, and now it is time for you to post until the new/old cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: DECOCT!
-
First post after BK!
-
And congrats on the new warehouse!
-
Good night.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
And now I'm off, too.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept well, but I'm tired.
-
I can't tell if Annabelle's sick or too full of treats from yesterday to eat. I will ignore this until tomorrow, when I'll be home all day, to see how she's doing. I'll leave plenty of water and food again today, and I don't think I'll be home later than 6:30 tonight.
-
Yesterday's sessions went well. The orchestra played really well, and everyone was in a very positive mood. Scarlett Strallen our wonderful leading lady is 12 months pregnant and ready to drop at any moment. She sang beautifully, and late in the afternoon her significant other Bryce Pinkham showed up to cheer her on. They met during the run of A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder.

Continued recording vibes for Elmore and The New Yorkers
-
Good morning, all.
-
Afraid all I have time for is the quick hello, and then I'm out of here for the day. Got a Shrek rehearsal and other stuff that must be done, then I shall relax this evening at a showing of On the Waterfront which I haven't seen in years.
-
Vibes to all!

Glad you can’t hear pregnancy.

I’m waiting to see the doctor now. Thank you, all, for the vibes.

TOD:
I enjoy Hatch’s score for The Card (I have two recordings), but nothing in it holds a candle to Downtown, Sign of the Times or Don’t Sleep in the Subway.

Books arriving today vibes!

Tuesday morning greetings! Sunny but cold here in SW Ohio. I have to go to the grocery sometime today, but we'll be eating dinner at the Miami campus here in town before a lecture on life in Cincinnati in the early 20th century.

I'm surprised she can breathe.
DR Elmore, I wish we could drop in to visit the recording studio like we did 2 years ago!
-
Recording vibes for DR ELMORE.
Book arrival vibes for MR BK.
SHREK vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.
-
DR TCB - those folks in She Loves Me really have to sing....and my singing is incidental....
AND Send Me No Flowers auditions in May for July production, and I really want to play Mr. Akers the cemetery salesman....the two shows would rehearse concurrently for a few weeks. I did that last year with Annie and The Mousetrap - and Barefoot in the Park and Sister Act.
If possible this year, I want to do one show at a time. Picnic - my directing gig - auditions the day AFTER Flowers ends.....
-
After all, I will be 69 years old in August.....SIXTY NINE!
-
Doctor vibes for DR JOHN G.
-
I like DR JOHN G's choices for the TOD:
Downtown
Sign of the Times
Don't Sleep in the Subway.....although I couldn't understand what she was singing the first few times I heard it.....to me it sounded like she was singing: "Don't sleep in the sun with Johnny....."
-
My spaghetti turned out pretty good today.....

Hello from Amtrak NE Regional Train 95!

I’m waiting to see the doctor now. Thank you, all, for the vibes.
Here are some more from me...

Vibes for DR JohnG!

I loved "Levi!" I wish we could see it on Blu-ray too! Marc Ginsburg was so great--I hope he would be part of a new production.
-
So there are two kids sitting behind me. One of them is named "Atlas." First time I've heard that.
-
SPOILERS AHEAD: So, Sunday afternoon I saw the new, bizarre production of "Oklahoma." I ran into DR Jose and we had a nice chat. What can I say? I guess the dialogue is the same as the original (?) but the production is really very different from any other version, I'm sure! The only person I was familiar with was Mary Testa. The cast was very good. Someone near me mentioned that the set looked like a high school production. There were several long tables on the stage. Members of the audience sat on one side. Sometimes the actors would sit on the tables and there was a little interaction with those audience members. At the start of the show, Mary Testa (Aunt Eller) has a big mixing bowl and cracks several eggs, some milk and several cartons of Jiffy cornbread mix. I wondered if that would go to waste. Not at all. At intermission chili and cornbread was served.

DR KEVIN H - did he shrug?

DR KEVIN H - did he shrug?
Haha! He's busy talking to his brother. I can only hear, not see!
-
The Gershwin show at 54 Below was terrific! All four singers were wonderful. George Dvorsky, Rebecca Luker, Klea Blackhurst and Nicolas King. George gave me a nice greeting. I've seen him many times over the years and he's always great.
-
Yesterday I went to the new Hudson Yards development. There are several big buildings and a mall with high-end stores. There's also The Vessel:

I have to say last night's concert was the highlight of my trip. Liz and Ann Callaway performed at Sony Hall. It's located in the Paramount Hotel. It's an old venue that's been renovated. It has about 500 seats and there's supposedly room for 1,000 to stand. I don't see how that can be, but that's what the website says. Anyway, the show was a Broadway tribute and I really enjoyed very song. Ann sang "If He Walked Into My Life," a song from her Broadway show, "Swing.") and many others. I can't think of it, but it's a classic). Liz, of course, sang "The Story Goes On," from her Broadway show, "Baby." There were many duets, including "Some People," For Good, Defying Gravity and a long medley of songs that people suggested they sing. What a terrific show!

Hello from Amtrak NE Regional Train 95!
Hi.

DR KEVIN H - did he shrug?

Twelve months pregnant is no mean feat.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.

Just for Jane: New Hazelnut M&M‘s.
-
JRand, have your hearing checked, please. I love “Don’t sleep in the sun with Johnny.” But it could interfere with my private life.

Books delivered, but not the right ones. We didn't think it was possible for the order placed at four yesterday could print and ship within a matter of hours and it wasn't. What they sent was yet another box of the free copies I got - eighteen books total - third time I've received a box of the free copies and of course they were the error copies so I deposited those directly in the trash. So, we're hoping the right copies will either ship late today or early tomorrow.

:o Yikes! So, third time's NOT a charm.

We are home from the gym, errands, including the market. Now to head out for a walk on this beautiful day.
-
I made my chicken wacky stroganoff and ate it all up. Then helper came and got the book invoices so that she'll be ready to put them into the already postaged flat rate envelopes. She's already 10,000 percent more organized than the previous helper and she's on top of everything. The last two releases had so many errors in shipping - from simply not shipping at all (and ALWAYS blaming me or not receiving stuff I absolutely forwarded or printed out), to mistaken addresses - a disaster - every day I get more e-mails from folks who haven't received discs and every time I would inquire it was always, "I didn't get that one." That will not happen anymore.
-
I am distressed by the Book Fiasco of 2019.
-
I know DR JOHN G - you can imagine my surprise when I bought the 45 and saw the title on the label......
-
Has any DR seen or worked on the musical version of THE WEDDING SINGER....what was your feeling about the enterprise.....
-
We have returned from our outing.
-
I wore a red vest as it is still a bit cool.
-
As we were about to leave Keith looked at me and asked why I was glowing. I looked down and my pocket was glowing red. Somehow the flashlight on my phone was turned on. While very funny I really haven't a clue how that was possible without my intentionally doing so.
-
I got home just a little past 6:30. The cats are fed, and I'm catching up on computer things. The orchestra is in the can, and we'll finish up the NYC vocals on Thursday afternoon. Ruth Williamson has had surgery in LA, so Rob and the producer will head west in the near future.

I wasn't involved with the production, but the same theater group that did the musical version of A Christmas Story that I was in, did it last month. I saw most of their performances. I really enjoyed the show. Is it high art? Of course not, but it's a lot of fun!

I have not seen it, but it has an opening number I love.. It was on the Tonys.

I hope she's OK.

Well, the doctor has sent me for a test. I have either a hernia or something called recti diastasis, which is a tear in abdominal muscle.
-
I don't know when I'll have time to have the test done, but I guess next week.
-
OH no. I hope it is a hernia.
MEGA TEST RESULT VIBES!
-
Watching Bluebeard's Eighth Wife with the great pairing of Claudette Colbert and Gary Cooper. David Niven is the sidekick. Ernst Lubitsch directs.
The only time I saw this was about 40 years ago. My parents and I went to see it on a summer evening at a free screening in the park. Loved it then. The start is droll. Billy Wilder screenplay.
-
OH no. I hope it is a hernia.

~~~SUPER DITTO!!~~~
Vibes needed. My friend Carol had a hip replacement last week. She's back in the hospital with focal pneumonia and a possible infection at the incision. So, those vibes would be greatly appreciated.
-
I'm tired. And I have to take the car in for repairs tomorrow morning. I hope they're not too expensive. I think I need the brakes replaced.
We watched AQUAMAN tonight.
-
Good evening.
-
Page 4? Barely!
-
My WIFI is not working well tonight.
-
I’ll keep trying, but it is s-l-o-w going.
-
Things are starting to improve.
-
So, I had better type fast.
-
We watched AQUAMAN tonight.
What did you think?
-
Beautiful day today.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Highs in the 50’s, but sunny.
-
Warmer tomorrow.
-
Hi, George.
-
I have to miss the old actors lunch tomorrow.
-
I am going to see a house tomorrow.
-
The only time we could meet is 11:30.
-
Warmer tomorrow.
I'd read that it's supposed to rain tomorrow.
-
I am going to see a house tomorrow.
Cool! Do you know much about it?
-
This is actually a “house” house, not a condo.
-
We shall see.
-
This is actually a “house” house, not a condo.
Ooo...does it have a large yard?
-
Actually, this is the first house I have seen that doesn’t have a big yard.
-
Do you want a big yard?
-
Some of these houses have yards the size of the Ponderosa.
-
Do you want a big yard?
Oh, hell no!
-
Do you want a big yard?
Oh, hell no!
Good! ;)
-
I can’t do yard work
-
There is, also, another condo that popped up on the internet tonight.
-
It would be a better price than the house.
-
One more post.
-
I find the slacking here quite outrageous.
-
Let's have a flurry of posting, shall we? This is rather nauseating, this page five malarky.
-
It would be a better price than the house.
How's the square footage of either compare with your apartment?
-
It would be a better price than the house.
How's the square footage of either compare with your apartment?
The condo is a little smaller than my apartment.
-
The house is also a little smaller than my apartment.
-
The two are just about the same size.
-
The condo is about $80,000.00 less than the house
-
The absences of dear reader George are most appallingly appalling in an appalling way. We used to blame Jose, then Canada - now I should think we must blame George :)
-
However, the condo currently has a renter in it.
-
George is right here.
-
Well, BK, where the hell have you been? :D
-
I don’t know yet, how long the renter’s lease is for.
-
I have no desire to be a
slum landlord kindly landlord.
-
Tom, the important thing is that you feel safe, comfortable, and happy.
-
The condo is about $80,000.00 less than the house
That's certainly significant!
Work has been very busy lately...one of my staff has been out on medical leave for the last couple of months, and will still be out for probably another month still. Her job is pretty specific and unique, and the rest of us are trying to fill in until she gets back.
-
Tom, the important thing is that you feel safe, comfortable, and happy.
That is very true. I would probably feel safer in the condo.
-
And I wouldn’t have to hire a kid to mow my yard at the condo.
-
And if I buy the condo, instead of the house, I can still afford to buy food!
-
Like mac and cheese, and Raman.
-
That is a joke (sort of).
-
What! You want to eat, too?
-
George, is your condo a one bedroom?
-
What! You want to eat, too?
I know. I am never satisfied.
-
The condo is directly across from the YMCA.
-
So you would have nice scenery.
-
George, is your condo a one bedroom?
Technically, it's a two-bedroom, but the second bedroom is mostly storage. ::)
;)
-
What! You want to eat, too?
I know...right??
-
And just down the street from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the Jewish Synagogue in Tacoma.
-
So you would have nice scenery.
That is what I was thinking.
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-
If you share your scenery, I'll cook stuff for your freezer.
Honey, nothing comes for free!
Yes, I’ll be joining the YMCA.
