My mom used to make it all the time when I was growing up but it was not a particular favorite of mine.

I wanted to sleep in longer, but two kitties had other plans. Those two days of recording wore me out. I'm no longer in the excellent physical shape (?) I was when BK was knocking out a recording every six weeks! Those days of summer theatre where I slept an average of 4-6 hours a night for two months are over. I wouldn't survive a week today.

Annabelle was carrying on up a storm this morning, and I thought she was really eager to patrol. As soon as I finished cleaning the litter, she jumped into the box and used it. Then, to my amazement, she actually buried her mess! I had my scooper handy, scooped it up and into the garbage bag, and we went on patrol. She purred happily and galloped about the halls.

Well, now, that's appropriate, because our housewarming gift to Rob and Mary Linda will be Grandma Palmer's piano (and the cost of moving it and having it tuned). We've enjoyed it for 20 years and it's time for it to have a new home.

Back from picking up one envelope, banking, and a vain attempt at lunch. The traffic is so insane - at one-fifteen on a Friday Ventura Blvd. is JAMMED for no reason, the bank was JAMMED (I ended up at the ATM for the deposit), and it's just out of control. Any chance of actually arriving at a food place of interest was done when I got to the major street near my house. I just couldn't stand one more minute of it so home I came and I'm making wacky noodles because that's what I've got here and it's easy although a bit of a mess to clean up after.

I am glad he is ok. I am also confused. I thought he was having surgery. Did he or was it just and Endoscopy to diagnose the problem?

Today was Needle Day--acupuncture. After that I went to the salad bar. I wasn't able to guess the price of my salad bar items correctly, but I received $10 off because my stamp card was full. (Each time you spend $10 or more at the salad bar they stamp your card. When it's full you get $10 off.)

Jane, I don't have a recipe for balsamic dressing, but I may be looking for one soon, too. I had been looking for a good bottled dressing without canola oil, but canola oil is everywhere. I found a balsamic dressing from Walden Farms without canola oil--and very tasty--but now I notice is has an artificial sweetener in it. Sigh.

I had a great dinner tonight for Pam's birthday. I had a 1-count shrimp for the first time. That means the one shrimp weighed a pound. It was served over bacon cheese grits. Very not kosher. Very delicious.

Yes, I've been to the bank at one-thirty many times on a Friday and it's never been like this. Every single person on the long line was grousing about it. It didn't help that there were only two tellers.

After the talk about enchilada casserole over the last few days, I had to make it tonight. I ate 2 servings and promptly fell asleep.
