Well, you've read the notes, the notes were wacky and had paragraphs, and now it is time for you to post until the wacky cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FULFILLMENT!
-
First post after BK.
-
First post after TCB!
-
Topic of the Day: I don't know why, but I'm always tickled when someone uses the word "soupçon." ;D
-
And now, here’s Dino to take over for me, because I am falling asleep.
-
Good night, jan.
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night sweetpea
-
Good night, y'all.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Good night, jan.
-
I seem to say alternately a lot
-
At 4 am,however, all I should be saying is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
This is the composer of choral music I heard last night - this isn't what I heard, but this is a piece for chorus and orchestra called Magnificat and it is magnificent and very moving, I thought. I can't seem to find the damn cd or blu-ray anywhere - although you can buy the mp3 thing on Amazon for ten bucks so I might just do that if my search is fruitless.

-
Really nice music, BK.
-
When I was going to Western Washington University, the concert choir and some professional soloists recorded the sacred choral works of Domenico Scarlatti, who is more known for his piano works. Here is his Magnificat (it's a cappella), and I'm singing in the tenor section (no solos for me, though):

This is the piece I heard on the radio that I fell in love with and this has strings on it, too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F003sSzpwS0
-
I like that a lot.
-
I bookmarked those videos.
-
Well, I need to go to sleep, now. I'm working concessions again today, and my call time is 11:45 am. But today is the big parade, the Proscession of the Species, so I'll need to get downtown very early to allow time to find parking. Several streets will be closed off and I don't know which ones.
Good night, BK, and have a good day, all!
-
I just wrote the composer. He has a website. The guy isn't even forty.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning John

That is lovely
-
Good morning, all!
-
I must be in Manhattan: my eyeballs ache, my head throbs, and I am really sick of this hay fever shit.
-
I must call City Vet and see if I can take Annabelle in today or tomorrow. Her head's so blocked she cannot smell and wont eat, and her signs to me that she's hungry are killing me.
-
I need some Tylenol before I get to work.
-
Good morning!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Time for a quick hello. I shall leave in an hour to grab something to eat, drive an hour to the gig, rehearse a little bit, play a matinee, eat the catered food, play an evening show, and drive back home 12+ hours later.
-
And that was the quick hello. You blink, you miss it!
Have a great Saturday, everyone!
-
Annabelle and I will see the vet this morning at 10:30. I hope to hell that check from San Francisco arrives in today's mail.
-
Vibes for Annabelle and a check in the mail.
-
Fingers crossed DR TCB. The difference in the appraisal value is rather large.
-
Continued vibes for ANNABELLE.
Good news about DR ELMORE's trip yesterday.....Samuel French.....I think when we first did LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, it was being handled by SF....and it was a mess. I also remember that ANGRY HOUSEWIVES was in the same shape when we did that....and there seems to be one other.....
-
Such lovely music in the posts yesterday and today.
If I like a musical selection on YouTube and the sound is good - I usually download the video as an MP4 and then convert it to an MP3 and burn it to a CD or put it in my music files.....
-
Stowkowski.....I like that he is mentioned in songs in both PAL JOEY and WONDERFUL TOWN....and it always makes me laugh.....
-
A beautiful day today. I moved the shelves and desk where Barnum's cage sets to clean behind and under. I could build another entire bird from the feathers that were there.
-
Thanks for the birthday wishes DR Jeanne, DR TCB and DR Laura.
-
DR Jane I did not go out for a birthday dinner as my younger niece had swim team (and it was still Passover).
-
I love words and word play.
Including:
tintinnabulation
onomatopoeia
rhinoceros
terpsichore
-
I have been up since six something. I feel like hell. I didn't sleep very well.
-
Once my phone recharges, I will be going back to bed.
-
Better to sleep thru a Saturday than to get myself sick.

I didn't realize you keep a Kosher diet during Passover.
-
Vixdad took me to IHOP for breakfast
-
I had the eggwhite veggie omlet, substituting mushrooms for the raw tomatoes
-
It came with a fresh fruit cup
-
Supposedly around 380 calories
-
I don't even know who I am anymore
-
The Streets of New York CD is here in Manhattan.
The delivery slip was left here yesterday.
-
We are home and I am around $230 overdrawn. If I can deposit that San Francisco check - if it arrives - before Tuesday, I will be okay, but I have no idea if it's even been sent.
-
Check vibes for DR ELMORE.
We have a Mars-Neptune square today.....today's Mars-Neptune square has that low energy that causes you to be suspicious of what the day has in store. It’s not fun to work through the uneasiness that this day brings, but if lying in bed all day isn’t an option, recognize that it's normal to feel kind of out-of-it now, and don't put too much blame on yourself. Don't feel guilty about breaking plans with friends or taking a sick day—we've all been there, and you need to take care of you right now. Secondly, admit that you might need some help. If you have problems that now seem impossible to work through, there's no harm in reaching out and asking a friend for help. That's what they’re there for!
-
I forget who asked yesterday....but YES....Send Me No Flowers was first a play. Written by Norman Barash and Carroll Moore. It played about five weeks on Broadway in Dec 1960-January 1961. David Wayne and Nancy Olsen were the leads.....
It is a very funny script - and the film includes most of the funny lines and situations.....and adds a few unnecessary characters.....
I hope to play Mr. Akins the cemetery plot salesman, played in the film by Paul Lynde - and on Broadway by Heywood Hale Broun.
-
I am most distressed by DR TCB's story of his condo sale.....I hope it turns out for HIS best.
-
I don't even know who I am anymore
Congrats on the new you ;)
-
I watched the two last ORVILLE episodes last night....again they were most excellent.....
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.
-
Jrand, how are you downloading mp4s from YouTube - the site I'd been using makes me very nervous.
-
And there was indeed no California check in today's post. I am so fucked.
-
It's bad enough I feel like garbage, but I do not need all this other crap.
-
I watched the two last ORVILLE episodes last night....again they were most excellent.....
We enjoyed the second to last episode.
-
I finished reading "Red Notice: A True Story of High Finance, Murder, and One Man's Fight for Justice"by Bill Browder. While I highly recommend the book I would not have suggested it for a discussion. I hope I am wrong about that and my Monday discussion is interesting.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
Managed to get a Costco run in. But I was surprised that Costco doesn't sell the same bread that they used to. They only have stuff with soft crusts, which I don't even consider bread.
-
Watching a bad Italian spaghetti western called The Hills Run Red. The dubbing is truly awful. The violence is silly. The fights are poorly staged.
-
And Rome doesn't look anything like Texas.
-
MR BK I have one of those Windows computers and use the Firefox Browser so they have a download extension...
It looks like this program will do it for you....and it looks like you can skip a step and download it from YT as an MP3. ;D

Good afternoon.
-
I did sleep the day away.
-
Actually, Nicky and I slept the day away together..
-
At least when he is cuddled up with me, he doesn't cry.
-
The rest of the time, when he is out of the room away from me, he does cry.
-
I wish I could give him a larger dose of pain medicine, or at least more frequently, but I don't want him to OD.
-
Thanks to those of you who expressed concern about my condo problems. It will be whatever it will be.
-
I just about typed that I wasn't going to worry about it, but worry is probably exactly why I am feeling sick today.
-
Where is everyone this afternoon?
-
Another synagogue shooting? A driver runs over who he believed were Muslims? What is happening to this world?
-
And TOOTSIE got a lot of great reviews!
-
It's a crazy world, isn't it?
-
Pain-free vibes for Nicky.
-
Watching Burt Lancaster as Apache. Movie would probably not be made today. And that's a good thing. It's silly. And Burt seems to enjoy the Indian drag a little too much.
-
Jrand, that works great! Grabbed the video in HD and the mp3 of the audio.
-
Pain-free vibes for Nicky.
Thanks, John G.
-
Glad it worked for you MR BK.....the internet is great!
-
More vibes for Nicky The Cat.

-
Great minds and ours, TCB.
-
At least when he is cuddled up with me, he doesn't cry.
Awww.
-
This week I watched a movie I haven't seen since I was small......it was on TCM of course.....I remember laughing a lot at it way back when....but it was even funnier to me this time around.
Three Men on a Horse.....
It was strange to see Frank McHugh not using his usual laugh gag....and it was annoying as usual to see Edgar Kennedy do his never-ending slow burn routine.....but one of the supporting characters was hilarious....such a funny guy. And I couldn't place him.
IMDB tells me that it was Teddy Hart as Frankie.....he was the brother of lyricist Lorenz Hart. I know that he was on Broadway in The Boys From Syracuse. And he was reprising his stage role in HORSE.
Not a good looking man.....short.....and so very funny.....
-
I picked another half-gallon of loquats today. I think that's most of the rest of the crop. Many were either being eaten by birds or rotting on the tree.
-
The rest of the time, when he is out of the room away from me, he does cry.
:(
-
J.B. still wants me to peel them for him. He has me trained.
-
At least when he is cuddled up with me, he doesn't cry.
Is that a sign he wants you to cuddle up with him more?
-
Thanks to those of you who expressed concern about my condo problems. It will be whatever it will be.
You have the right attitude.
-
the garden is looking good. Plenty of tomatillos growing. And it looks like the first cucumber is on its way.
-
I just about typed that I wasn't going to worry about it, but worry is probably exactly why I am feeling sick today.
Possibly. Spending the day with Nicky is what you both needed.
-
J.B. still wants me to peel them for him. He has me trained.
Of course he does.
-
Vibes for DR TCB & DC Nicky!

Vibes for DR elmore & DC Annabelle!

I have to be VERY careful not to spend the next twenty-four hours grabbing stuff. :)
-
How many dear readers actually went to the link I posted and listened to the five-minute Cradle Hymn. Let's have an accurate count.

I went out dress shopping this afternoon
-
I finally ended up at Lord &Taylor where I found a gown in a deep wine color that I like much better

I listened to some of it. It is very pretty. I have it back on now that I am done with the work I was doing.
-
Luckily they were having some kind of girlscout promotion going on , if you donated $5 you got a 30% discount ,

I am pleased you found something you will feel good in. Can you return the other dress?

-
Hello, everyone.
-
I asked another lady in the dressing room area to take a picture of me and I texted it to the Vixter and she approved the purchase
-
Sorry to hear about the condo appraisal problem. I hope it works out.
-

You--or whoever you're quoting--hit it right on the head! At least for me. I know other people who are also experiencing the aforementioned low energy.
-
Vibes for DK Nicky. I wonder if there's another pain killer he can take in addition. I use that approach for myself--not too much of any one.

The first part is funny but later it is kind of sad.

I didn't think that Lord & Taylor was still in business. They closed their Arlington/Alexandria, VA many years ago. I thought they had closed them all.

Bricks-and-mortar stores do have their uses.

I was referring to all of the animals that have been "confiscated".

I checked with our host and he doesn't think the site has had any problems today.

Weird, because I could get on other sites no problem and couldn't connect here
-
This week went by very quickly since Monday was a holiday for us.
-
I enjoyed the Cradle Hymn.
-
Yes whenever I am doing sound design for a show - or working playlists for a party - my downloads are many!
-
Don't know what it was, vixmom, but he confirmed after checking all the logs that we were never down today. It would help if you told me what happened, what you saw - then I can get him that info.
-
Finished with my viewing, and I made a teeny-tiny bit of pasta with red sauce just as a snack, which probably brought the calories up to 1500, but I'd eaten quite early and needed a little something. And there's nothing wrong with 1500 calories.

It just wouldn't connect ...kept getting the little spinning thing and the page wouldn't load. But it was only happening with HHW I could get on everything else .
Seems to be ok for me now though except despite hitting the state on forever button it keeps tossing me out

Wow! I singlehandedly got us to page 6.

Of course, we were on Post #148.

I knew you could do it.

Terrible crane collapse in downtown Seattle today.
-
And how are the Ladies of the Ensemble?
-
Four people killed.
-
Two of them crushed in their cars while stopped at a red light.
-
That's terrible!
-
Just proves you should always run red lights.
-
And how is Ms. jan?
-
That's my philosophy. Did they say what the cause was?
-
I don't like MS. I prefer either Madam or Your Grace, the Duchess of North Hollywood. And I'm fine, thanks.

Or you can call me HBIC (head bitch in charge).

I am listening to Barry Manilow.

You said it, not me.

Rise Up: The Hamilton Tribute Band was pretty good.

You better obey or we'll find out if you can swim to Gig Harbor.
