Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the chocolate mousse and the man who ate it, and now it is time for you to post until the chocolate cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SQUIGGLE!
-
First post after BK!
-
Hope everything goes the way you want, Tom. I'm here.
-
However, I'm going to bed so nighty-night.
-
Hi, jan.

Perhaps it's time to mosey on over to the bedroom.
-
Methinks it is.

T.O.D
Trying to think of GOOD "revenge movies" beyond DEATH WISH and TAKEN.
NEVADA SMITH w/Steve McQueen: It's okay, but certainly no classic.
Hmmm!
-
TOD
True Grit
Princess Bride
Death Wish ( but not the sequels)
Mean Girls

Annabelle is letting me know I slept in and she's pissed: she's climbing all over me and the computer. she has knocked things off the shelf, and she's jumpy: table to chest, table to filing cabinet, floor to table/
SEE ME! SEE ME!

SEE ME! SEE ME!
She wants to get out and audition!
-
Today, the allergies are awful: headache, toothache, runny nose. I hope that check arrives so I can pick up the goddamned prescriptions.
-
PAGE 2 DANCE!
-
We made our patrol. Annabelle wants to play tag, and I want to keel over and die, so I cannot say it was a success. The good news is that, now it's over, she's calmed down and ignoring me.
-
I spoke to Joshie. Our friend John Bell, who was choral director for The New Yorkers, received his check yesterday. It was mailed from Nashville.
-
However, I'm going to bed so nighty-night.
I was asleep before you posted your question to me. Thankfully no new injuries and not too much trouble with the old ones ;)

One of the books I am listening to is Nabakov’s Pale Fire. In this morning’s section, there was a passage just for BK. The narrator spells spider backwards as redips and T.S. Eliot backwards as toilest.
-
DR elmore there is an app you can put on your phone that shows you most of the daily mail that will be delivered.

Lovely photos in the notes.
Performance vibes for MR BK & Co......and no more drama offstage.
-
No word on the results of the audition as yet.
I did post a video of a lot of angry donkeys who got their breakfast late and commented that it was a group of actors awaiting audition results.......
-
Of course all of us who were at auditions and are on Facebook have cast the show in our private messages......

I have returned from the bank. The check is deposited. What's really irritating is that it was cut oin Monday and not mailed until Friday.
-
DR elmore there is an app you can put on your phone that shows you most of the daily mail that will be delivered.
If you have a smart phone. I've never wanted one.
-
Elmore, glad you got the check.
-
Headline of the day:
After eating raw rodent’s kidney for 'good health,' couple dies of bubonic plague, sparks quarantine
It could be said this was a meal to die for

I had to look this up, and it wasn't exactly a rat. It was a Marmut.
-
"The Groundhog (Marmota monax), also known as the Woodchuck, or the Whistlepig (particularly in the Southern United States), is a rodent of the family Sciuridae, belonging to the group of large ground squirrels known as marmots. Most marmots live in rocky and mountainous areas, but the Woodchuck is a lowland creature."

They are cute.

"The local governor Aipiin Gilimkhaan told AFP that no other cases have been reported in the area. According to the new agency, at least one person a year in Mongolia dies from the plague, often from eating raw meat carrying Yersinia pestis, the plague bacterium."

DR elmore I am not sure you need a smartphone to sign up for Informed Delivery from USPS. It is possible it isn't available in your area.

I think my sister has signed up for this.

It also shows if mail is missing, and handy if you are watching for something important. It shows packages too.

Are you a fan of Milton Berle?
Joe E. Brown?
Bert Lahr?
If so, I am pleased to announce the publication of CLOWNS ON THE GROUND, the 22nd play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS series.
The play is set in Chicago, 1962.
A massive storm has hit the Windy City, grounding all aircraft.
In the V.I.P. Lounge of the Chicago airport, legendary comedians MILTON BERLE, JOE E. BROWN and BERT LAHR are forced to linger together until the weather clears. Berle and Brown are on their way to California; slated to film their scenes in Stanley Kramer's comedy, IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD, while Lahr has just finished a disastrous tryout of a new play in the Yukon.
Now, as the trio waits, old resentments, personal frustrations and insecurities rise to the surface, making the job of the young airline attendant assigned to the lounge, who just happens to be an aspiring comedian, anything but peaceful.
CLOWNS ON THE GROUND is a probing, often funny, look at three men who could always make us laugh, despite their own personal pain.
The play is available in both paperback and Kindle editions on Amazon and elsewhere. Performance rights are available.

-
Now I would like a check, please.
-
Never mind that I'm not expecting one. I want one.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, come July I shall be assaying the role of Mr. Akins in the Putnam County Playhouse production of SEND ME NO FLOWERS......
No word on the rest of the cast - except that my friend Eleanor is playing Passerby Number Two.....
-
I snoozed for an hour - that was nice, actually.
-
Good afternoon.
-
Happy Birthday, Danise!
-
I spent most of the day driving to and from a small town to talk to a very large class of fourth graders about butterflies.

Did you enjoy your day?
-
Thanks....
The rest of the cast is as to be expected.....I might have switched the two girls playing the young plaything and the old call girl.....but the only sad thing is that the wife is played by the real life wife of the technical director instead of the woman who is really age appropriate....but we shall see how she does....
-
I have, in fact, shaved. I will, in fact, shower in but a few moments and then I shall be on my way to the mail place and then be on my way to Vitello's, dinner, and our show.
-
Congratulations, JRand!

Annabelle, Thatch and I are watching Season 5 of Poirot. So far, it has the best episode ever: "The Chocolate Box," oozing memories of a hard-to-capture Brussels of 1912, a teary sentiment de nostalgie pour ce qu'elles ont perdu.
Annabelle liked the Edwardian costumes and beauty of Brussels. Thatch kept asking, what did he say?
-
I think of TAKEN, which I like very much, as a rescue thriller vs revenge thriller. I seem to have similar reactions to many movies listed as revenge films. I never enjoyed watching DEATH WISH which is a pure revenge film to me. Here is a list of 100 top revenge films.

Thanks for that list Jane, I will now add Hamlet and Sweeney Todd to my lisyt

Congratulations JRand on your new role, I am sorry you didn't get the call girl part you really wanted
-
I had bought a ticket to the Fathom events showing of Tolkien tonight , totally forgetting I had a dentist appointment
-
I was pleasantly surprised to find I was able to cancel my ticket and get a refund on my Phone while numbing up in the dentist chair
-
I am now the proud owner of two more fillings
-
And they cost me deep in the purse
-
Tomorrow morning I have an appointment with a neurological ophthalmologist
-
They want to see if they can find a cause for my double vision
-
Although I am having less difficulty since they put prisms in my spectacles
-
Break legs vibes for BK and cast
-
All I have eaten today is one 80 calorie cup of yogurt and 2 easy over eggs
-
I am very hungry but the entire bottom my face is numb and I don't think I am capable of attempting to ingest anything without it ending up all over my shirtfront
-
Good evening!

Vibes of all kinds for everyone!

I have this service but it's in the form of a daily email.
-
I feel ya, Vixmom. I,too, have returned from the dentist. The whole left side of my face is numb and swollen.
-
I was supposed to have an extraction in prep for implants but the tooth kept breaking instead of coming out. He then realized that the root was fused with the bone so now I have to go an oral surgeon on Thursday to have it cut out. ARRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH.
-
Thanks all - DR VIXMOM as to the other part.....the show ain't open yet......
-
I forgot about the TOD:
Attack of the 50 Foot Woman
Born To Be Bad
Damn Yankees - sort of
All About Eve

Oh dear I am sorry. I had to have 5 teeth cut out after radiation treatments as they kept breaking at the gum line. I strongly suggest twilight if it's available

Thank goodness for that.

But not the additional cost of a ticket you couldn't use.

Kill Bill Vol. 1
Old Boy (the original)
The Virgin Spring
Cape Fear (the original)
Manon of the Spring

The opera was a lot of fun. The symphony was excellent and the music was sublime. The staging was a little hokey, and some of the singing was uneven. The best singers were Satan and Marguerite's brother.
-
The scrim was great. It was endless swirls of flames with faces popping out in all directions, faces of the damned.
-
What I didn't get was why the show was called Faust, except, of course, that Faust and Doctor Faustus were older titles. Yet, he was the least interesting character and had less to sing. In the final scene, he's not even present. The story went on without him.
-
I need to get to bed.
-
Good night, all.

I am just home from a banquet that had a delicious dinner and an excellent speaker. But it was a long while before it all got underway so it is late.
-
jan, ask the oral surgeon for a Happy Pill. And get someone to drive you.

Except for the late hour it sounds lovely.

And have a bowl or something for the ride home, just in case there is bleeding or you get sick.

Back from a great performance of the revue. We had about seventy-five, the audience ate the show up, and I was very proud of our wonderful company of players.

How are you feeling, HB?

Would you like a pain pill?

If so, no citron or walnuts. Also, it will keep til the teeth are ready.
