I knew that DR Elmore was in for several days of HELL, and it sounds like it's proceeding according to plan. :)

Interview 2 this morning..
Just read that Doris Day died at 97.

That shouldn't be a shock, but it is, and a sad one. Achieving 97 is wonderful, and she had the most amazing life. Still, it always seemed she was exempt and would be with us forever.
I always thought it was interesting that Doris Day, Rosemary Clooney, and The McGuire Sisters all took singing lessons from Grace Raine in Cincinnati.

Wasn’t Uncle JOMO what Jose’s nephews called him?

I am horrified by the behavior of DR VIXMOM's lunch companions.....
Tomorrow is Mom and Dad’s 64th anniversary.

DR Jane I did not receive anything in the mail yet. But we don't get mail on the weekends. I will definitely check my mailbox today or tomorrow (we have boxes a street away).
I’d like to think the interview went well. 50+ minutes instead of the 30 scheduled.
After taking a decent sized spider out this morning I said to Keith at least it wasn't a possum. We then opened HHW on his computer so he could read DR George's saga.
Keith kept groaning at all of my mistakes in my posts. I really was falling asleep as I was typing and had to retype much of what I had written.

Rob Berman has asked me to help with is 92nd Street Y event, and I think we'll begin today or tomorrow.

DR George, I loved the story of the baby opossum. Thanks for treating him so gently.
That's enough me on this page! I hope BK's DGA pension inquiries go well today.

George, you missed a chance at having some fine vittles. Our greasy marsupial friends can be the basis of some rewarding stew, if you can get past all of the bones.

And all of them could handle a lyric with the respect it deserves.

Same. Although I was curious if the food was actually worthy of being returned. I don't normally return things to the kitchen (although I don't usually have anything that was bad enough to be returned). The only exception is if the meat I've ordered is way underdone (has I hate rare meat).

;D Or a perfectionist. He never did become an editor since he would rewrite, or want to rewrite everything.

We have had a disaster at our house today.....I am surprised it was not reported on CNN.
Birdy Barnum's basketball goal/mirror was crooked. I straightened it up and turn the screw to tighten it......AND IT BROKE OFF!
It has been glued on the back and I am waiting for it to set completely before putting it back in the cage.
BUT I am getting the silent treatment and the fish eye because his sports equipment is missing.....at least unless I am getting a strong and loud tongue lashing.....it's fairly evenly balanced between the three....

Then we drove about a mile away to the back entrance of the state park and using the dowels carried the cage down the hiking trail about a 1/4 mile into the woods then he released the possum and it scurried off into the underbrush

Back from an emergency (well, unplanned) visit to the vet with Poe, who began exhibiting the signs of a UTI around noon today. One injection of Convenia and $95 later, we’re back. He did beautifully with this when he had it a couple of years ago, and - knock wood - he’s already acting more normal and comfortable now.
And that is the story of when a Vixdad was the Brave Possum Rescuer
It is a tough job, but someone has to do it

My friend Margo had a possum come into her house just last year, but she has a cat door, so it was a lot easier for that to come in. Anyway, she called some rescue place and they told her that they don't rescue possums, and that possums aren't native species to Washington, so she should just shoot it! :o She, of course, couldn't do that. She also got a cage, caught it and released it back into the wild several miles away from her house.
I do not like possums in or out of stews.
I also have a opossum story. Many years ago, when I living in North San Diego County, I had a doggie dog for my dog and two cats. Not long after my dog died a opossum was walking through the living room as if he owned the place! I went and got a neighbor, but by then the opossum had left. Apparently, the presence of the dog had frightened him off, but the presence of the cats did not. It was the cat food that attracted him. He'd stand on his hind legs and reach down into the trash to get the cat food can! Opossums really like cat food! My presence didn't seem to scare him at all. He didn't try to attack me, but God forbid someone take the cat food! Ugh!
I imagine that the possum that DR VIXMOM and the VIXDAD rescued many years ago has had about 4000 descendants by now.
The gorilla glue was not a success.
I came in to find Birdy Barnum hanging onto his basketball goal and it was hanging upside, as was he. I took it back out and tossed it.
I shall look for a new one tomorrow. They are available online if no one has one.....locally.
They are good for the environment and getting rid of those horrid tics.
"More Possum Benefits. Opossums, sometimes referred to just as possums, are a benefit to ecosystems and a healthy environment beyond eradicating ticks. They will catch and eat cockroaches, rats and mice – in addition to consuming dead animals of all types (also known as carrion)."

This is good to know. But the ones that approach humans can be rabid.

Continued interview vibes for John G.
What does the new job entail?
Well, I must be off. I'm going to see a documentary called What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Deep Space Nine (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6332276/?ref_=nv_sr_1). It was funded through Indiegogo and I was a contributor! My name will be in the end credits...among thousands of others, I'm sure! I hope it'll be good.
Be back later.

What does the new job entail?
Much the same work that I'm doing now, but instead of doing it for one business, it would be for businesses around the world.

I like the ink refiill.
I like the ink refiill.
The bottles that come with the printer (one 4-bottle set (https://www.costco.com/Epson-T502-EcoTank-Ink-Bottles-BK/C/Y/M,-Club-Pack.product.100411661.html) costs $52.99) are supposed to be the equivalent of 30 regular ink cartridges...which can be as much as $50 EACH! ;D
That looks like a cool printer, George.
I hate paying those incredible prices for those little replacement inks.

Less expensive, easier than replacing a cartridge, and probably easier to fiind.
Hey, NWesties, how are things 2 states away from me?
I remember when I still had my cat and had an open cat door. I was in the den, looked up and saw a possum waddling down the hall towards my my bedroom. I yelled at it and started to go after it when it turned around and ran back out the cat door. He was a big sucker, too.
I need to sleep. I have got to spend most of tomorrow packing.
Good night, George. Happy print job!
