Well, you've read the notes, the notes were pro pasto, and now it is time for you to post until the pro cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ALAMEDA!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First post after BK.

Why is Mr. Spielberg remaking WEST SIDE STORY? Has there been some outcry to have a pristine film version that does not include Marni Nixon?
-
I think there is probably a need for some film versions to be remade, but that certainly doesn’t include WSS.
-
Hmm, I have an idea! BK, has there ever been a CD of Marni Nixon’s greatest film vocal performances?
-
I would buy it. Where else could you find a CD with the glorious versions of “Tonight” and “I Could Have Danced All Night”; topped off with a soaring “Hello, Young Lovers”?
-
Gosh! I have driven everyone else away!
-

That would be cool!

From yesterday: Tom, I found videos on YouTube on how to replace the screen on my specific phone. Search Amazon for your tablet model and "replacement screen," then you search YouTube on "how to replace screen for" and your specific model.

Sounds good.
-
How are all my fur baby nieces and nephews?
-
DR Jan I am sorry you felt worse and hope you took something to relieve the pain and are sleeping.

Tom, good luck finding the perfect new furniture.
-

Nicky sends his love.
-
Not sleeping yet, waiting for the pill to work. How 'bout you, still healthy?
-
Tom, good luck finding the perfect new furniture.
Thank you.
-
Not sleeping yet, waiting for the pill to work? How 'bout you, still healthy?
Nothing new and pretty good for me ;D
-
Speaking of thanks, so many of you sent me good wishes about the condo. I read them all and appreciated them all. I am afraid I was just flying a little too high to acknowledge them at the time. Special thanks to all of my friends for your good wishes.
-
So, when is moving day?
-

I can be, or it might not be. I found out that for my phone, I can get a replacement screen where you have to heat the glue that holds it on, carefully take off a bunch of parts, reglue everything and hope it all works; or I can get a screen already attached to a "frame" where I just have to take out a few screws, pop out the existing screen/frame, unhook the camera and headphone input, swap out the screen/frame, put the screws back and it's done!

Neve is doing quite well. :)
-
So, when is moving day?
Probably next weekend for the big move.
-
But I have until the middle of June.
-
So, I can do a lot of small trips on other days.

Reading your explanation was more difficult than I am capable of doing.
-
Do you have help for your small moves?
-
So, I can do a lot of small trips on other days.
That's always a good thing!
-
My pain pill (last one) has kicked in so I will say night y'all
-
Good night, jan.
-
Do you have help for your small moves?
My sister very kindly volunteered her grandson to help on Wednesday and Thursday.
-
He, of course, knows nothing about it.
-
Good night, jan.
-
Sleep well.

So, it turns out that my friend David left his backpack in my car Friday night! We said our goodbyes at the theater and he rode the train home instead of (he thought) inconveniencing me by driving him home, but he forgot that he left his backpack in my car.
-
He NEEDS to get it back today because his keycard to get into his work was in there! :o He has something to do today, so his wife will meet me about halfway between Seattle and Tumwater in Tacoma and she'll take it back. I just don't know what time she'll get there, or exactly where she'd like to meet. I guess I'll find out eventually.
-
And in other news: It is raining.

Oh no!
-
My friend told me there was this great independent moving company on Craig’s List that offered discounts to disabled people. Well, I just happened to see a story on our local news warning people to check out movers carefully.
-
So, I checked her company with the Better Business Bureau....... and guess what? Her company got an F.
-
George, did you get a picture I texted you on Friday night?
-
George, did you get a picture I texted you on Friday night?
I can't find any message from you. :-\ Did you send it by actual text, e-mail, FB messenger, or... ??

Yikes!

Oh, maybe George went to bed. I suppose I should, too. Good night and good morning.

Actual text to your phone.
No. I didn't get any text from you. Do you want to try and send it again? Send me a HHW PM to confim the number that you're sending it to.
-
I just sent it again. I think.
-
I sent you a PM.
-
I sent you a PM.
PM replied to. :-\
-
Whoops!
-
Whoops!
SPOO!! ;)
-
Got it!
-
So, when is moving day?
Probably next weekend for the big move.
Exciting!
-
I give up. I think I am too tired to try this again. Good night, George.
-
And I hope not too overwhelming.
-

Jane, can’t you sleep?

It worked! Was it just for me, or would you like me to resize it and post it?

He, of course, knows nothing about it.
;D

Please. You may have to lighten it a little, too.

So, I checked her company with the Better Business Bureau....... and guess what? Her company got an F.
:o Not good.
-
Vibes you find a good local mover at a reasonable price.
-
George, I don’t know why your number was wrong on my phone.

Nope.

You realize at this rate, we will be done with Sunday’s posts before the East Coast wakes up.
-
I am done!
-
George, I don’t know why your number was wrong on my phone.
I wonder what the person who has that number thinks. ;)
-

That is odd since he hasn't changed his number.

Just one of life's imponderables.

I hope we are asleep long before then.
-
I love the photo 😊
-
I was rather surprised to see a dog on your lap.

I was rather surprised to see a dog on your lap.
Oh, that's right! Nicky is a cat!
-
:D
-
Well, Jane, I need to get to sleep. I asked my friend's wife if she would not come down to Tacoma too early, and she agreed. We just didn't discuss exactly when...or where we'd meet.
-
Sunday morning greetings! Richard is off to church and I’m having some alone time.
-
DR TCB, that’s a great photo - congratulations on your new home!
-
Here's Tom's picture!
I LOVE IT!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I fed the cats at 6:15, set the alarm for 7:30 and went back to bed. Annabelle soon joined me and we listened to Stella's cries to be released from her cage. I reset the alarm to 8:30, Annabelle and I cozied up while Thatch jumped around the bed, but by 8:00, I realized it was time to move.
-
Stella's running about, chasing A & T, and being fiercely independent. She;s been pestering Thatch in the cat tree and he's been swatting at her, but there;s no sign of hostility.
-
BK, my friend John Wilson was a great friend of Richard Rodney Bennett and he's now recording all of Bennett's music for Chandos.
-
You might also like Bennett's ghost opera, The Mines of Sulphur. I like it a lot. I did not know about this recording of Bennett's choral music.
-
Patrol time!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Sunday.
I had planned on a second glorious day of getting some much needed work done outdoors. But I awoke to weather forecasts of rain, possibly thunderstorms, later, and more tomorrow. So we got blessed with one (count 'em) perfect day. Our local rag had noted that this was to be the best weekend of the last six. It still is, but now that isn't saying much.
And so it goes.
-
DR Elmore, it's so good to hear those critters are basically getting along at this point. The process is ongoing but they're obviously used to each other's presence and all will be fine.
A & T -- or, um, could we say T & A ? :) -- might not be showing the warm and fuzzy LUV to Stella as of yet, but that is entirely up to them. For now, acceptance is key.
But you know that. Don't mind me.
-
We are back from patrol. Annabelle saw Maryann, one of her favorite neighbors, and met a pretty young lady who lives on the first floor.
-
This morning I began the litter assimilation: after I sifted and cleaned the litter from the big litter box and Stella's little one, I put some of the clean litter from each into both boxes with new clean litter, so their scents will mingle. This did wonders when I was juggling Annabelle's and Thatch's litter boxes in 2017.
-
At the moment I am finishing up the corn muffins with strawberry butter. Deelish!
-
Page Four and it's not even 10 a.m. !!!!
-
Lovely photo of DR TCB in his new abode.....
I wonder if DR JOHN G enjoyed La Boheme Rain Or Shine.....
-
Today is a our May Board Meeting.....I have my report ready and everything else together....I shall leave about 1 p.m probably in the middle of a rain storm....
-
Good morning, all.
-
It did rain a little last night, so I packed up my chair and watched the rest of the show under the covered area. There were plenty of seats at the back.
Fun production. Not lavish, except from the orchestra pit. Good singers. Everyone was mic’ed, which is necessary in an area that large.
-
Great photo, TCB.

I don't think we ever did that. Man, you've become an expert on this stuff.

Well, Jane, I need to get to sleep. I asked my friend's wife if she would not come down to Tacoma too early, and she agreed. We just didn't discuss exactly when...or where we'd meet.
I slept until 7:00, half an hour before the alarm was set to wake me up.

I learned this dealing with Thatch and Annabelle before the cage was suggested. and I was at my wit's end. One day Thatch was kept in the bathroom with the big litter box while Annabelle was in the living area with the little box. Yhe next day they changed rooms while the litter boxes remained where they were.
Stella, when she's out of the cage, eats their food and drinks from their water dishes, and they don't seem to mind.

Wonderful!! I wish you joy and good health in your new home
-
Good morning from Hollywood, Florida!
-
I arrived yesterday. My friend, Todd picked me up at the airport and we had pizza for lunch.
-
Later, we went to the Parker Playhouse to see Seth Rudetsky and his guests Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess.
-
I must say they put on a great show. It lasted over two hours with no intermission. Ramin and Sierra sounded just wonderful. Seth was in charge and surprised them with the songs they were to sing while he played the piano.
-
At one point, Ramin said "why aren't we singing the songs we rehearsed?"
-
Great photo, TCB! I'm so happy for you!

That's also very much a kitten thing. Little Poe attacked Taffy's and Muffin's food so ferociously that for his first several weeks here we had ti serve him his meals in the bathroom with the door shut. Somehow or other that all evened out. But hey'll always graze from each other's bowls later on, usually after each has eaten most of their own. Because, don'tcha know, the other cat always has something better!

Thanks, DR Jane!
-
I have the three Chandos classical albums and they're great. Don't have the orchestral jazz thing and will look for it.
-
I'm up - six and a half hours of sleep.
-
Annabelle finally snapped and fought back. Stella looked completely puzzled by it all, but we've got to get her biting and roughhousing under control. One of the cat sites I consulted suggested she might have been separated from mother and siblings too early before she learned to control her impulses. I hope Annabelle will help her grow out of this phase.
-
Richard and I had an interesting afternoon. First we went to a real estate open house at our friend Julie's home. We can see the back of her house from the front of ours and were just curious. It's a lovely home that her parents built:
www.coldwellbankerhomes.com/oh/middletown/3306-hampton-pl/pid_28975648/
We hope it sells for the price they're asking!
-
After our "nosy neighbors" act, we went to a movie premier at the Middletown Historical Society. Our friend Sam has created a documentary about the Armco (Steel) Ambulance Corps, 15 men who served in France during World War I. They had a great crowd and the piece was very well-received.

I'd heard putting two scents in could be risky, but that sounds like it worked great.

Welcome to page 5!
-
Had a nice lunch in the Hills of Beverly at Nate 'N' Al's. I had a roast beef sandwich with coleslaw and Russian dressing. There was an art fair going on so the block north of Santa Monica Blvd was blocked, so I had a nice walk from just above that. On the way back to my car I browsed various artist booths - very little actual art (mostly giclees and numbered prints) and what there was was hugely overpriced.

It is very nice. As a person who had sold & purchased too many homes, I just want to clean up the clutter & get rid of some of the furniture for showing the home.

Yes, DR Jane, I thought there was too much furniture and clutter. It would be difficult for a serious customer to get a sense of how their life would fit into that space.
-
It makes me wonder about the realtor.
-
And the curling iron left out. There were sooooo many simple things that could have been done. People are clueless and the realtor should have explained all the little things that can help sell a home.
-
It makes me wonder about the realtor.
Not who we would call if we were ready to sell our house...
-
At one point, Ramin said "why aren't we singing the songs we rehearsed?"
His shows are always fun. This sounds like a great one.
-
The Van Gogh exhibit was outstanding. Too many people but they were loving it, too.
-
Watching the rest of The Faculty for the first time. Fun.
-
Not only does the LCT revival have nothing set for Liza Doolittle Day tomorrow, it's Monday and it's their day off.
-
Unless I missed an announcement somewhere.
-
They'd had a promo contest last year

Good!

Wonderful.

Had a baked potato with butter and chives for my snack. I've been uploading CDs - the homegrown variety taken from vinyl or tape. I went rummaging when I got home because I knew I had the Yanks soundtrack transferred on one of those CDs and thankfully it was right at the top. But once I began going through stuff, I realized most of what was in there I hadn't listened to after doing the transfer. So, it's been fun hearing some of this stuff. Of course, I began with Yanks. I'd already removed all the source songs, so it's just the score, which is about twenty-eight minutes of glorious music.
-
Interestingly, the other night I'd uploaded a Malcolm Arnold soundtrack two-fer on the Vocalian label - Nine Hours to Rama and The Lion. The Lion was about 23:00 long and I thought that was odd for a full LP soundtrack. Well guess what? Without mentioning it anywhere, they left off thirteen minutes of music. Guess they didn't have room for both scores on one CD but really, mention it somewhere or at least explain. I'm going to listen to that next. I'm just finishing up two volumes of David Raksin music that came from him - wonderful stuff.
-
One of the CDs I found, thankfully, is the La Strada ballet by Nino Rota. I got the CD with Ricardo Muti conducting, but that didn't feel right to me and it was only about twenty-three minutes long, which also didn't feel right to me. I knew I had the LP and that it was longer and here's the proof now - double the length of the Muti, which is simply a suite. Why the full length ballet has never come out is anyone's guess. I think it was on EMI, if memory serves.
-
Good night, all.
-

When I first read this, I read it as, "Stella's running about, chasing T & A...." :o
;)
-
I'm now watching the series finale to Game of Thrones.
-
After I got back from Tacoma, I watched last week's episode.
-
BK, my friend John Wilson was a great friend of Richard Rodney Bennett and he's now recording all of Bennett's music for Chandos.
That's really cool, Larry.
-
Well, Jane, I need to get to sleep. I asked my friend's wife if she would not come down to Tacoma too early, and she agreed. We just didn't discuss exactly when...or where we'd meet.
I slept until 7:00, half an hour before the alarm was set to wake me up.

-
And the curling iron left out. There were sooooo many simple things that could have been done. People are clueless and the realtor should have explained all the little things that can help sell a home.
A friend of mine used to have a house-staging business for people who were selling their houses. She was pretty adamant about what to do with the staging.
-
Not only does the LCT revival have nothing set for Liza Doolittle Day tomorrow, it's Monday and it's their day off.
That's too bad.

A friend of mine used to have a house-staging business for people who were selling their houses. She was pretty adamant about what to do with the staging.
Realtors asked if our last couple of houses had been professionally staged. Nope, it was just Keith.
-
Our next door neighbor couldn't sell her place. The last realtor she used had her get rid of her ugly curtins and then staged the place, mostly by cleaning out the extra furniture and rearranging everyting. One example, there was a beautiful centerpiece on the dining table which was too big. It was moved elsewhere and replaced with a beautiful glass bowl that didn't block the view of the river.
-
The place sold in 2 days.
-
Well, I've spent most of the evening listening to music and writing the Group Rep commentary. I'm finished for the evening, and thankfully I only have four songs left and three of them are cut and pasters.
-
The place sold in 2 days.
Cool!
-
Good evening.
-
Not only does the LCT revival have nothing set for Liza Doolittle Day tomorrow, it's Monday and it's their day off.
I sat here for a very long time trying to figure out how LCT = MY FAIR LADY. We don’t all live in New York, or are we all familiar to what shows are presented in what theaters.
-
Well, Game of Thrones is done.
-
Kevin, I am glad you are having a good time. Did you meet Sierra when she was doing PHANTOM with Brent?
-
John, you certainly deserved your weekend away.
-
George, after you met up with your friend’s wife, you should have given me a call and I could have driven you out to see the new condo.
-
Tomorrow, I am suppose to have lunch with friend, Sharry. We were scheduled to have lunch last Thursday, but the signing ceremony got in the way.
-
Think I will say good night. I am having troubl keeping my eyes open.
Good night!
-
George, after you met up with your friend’s wife, you should have given me a call and I could have driven you out to see the new condo.
Darn! I didn't even think about that.

Good night, Tom.
