Well, you've read the notes, the notes returned and weren't nice, and now it is time for you to post until the not nice cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: RESUSCITATED!
-
A Friday Question for BK...when might The Creature Wasn’t Nice be made available to order?? :D
-
Probably around September or October. Have to find out all the variables.
-
Exciting!
-
Time for bed...perchance to sleep. 8)
Have a good day, all!
-
T.O.D.
No idea what we might watch this weekend.
-
Has anybody seen the new movie trailer for CATS?
Thoughts?
-
Good morning!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Today is the estimated birthday of my little boy Thatch, who turns two years old.
-
It's going to be a very hot day in Manhattan. I must go to market at some point, but my general; goal is to stay inside, tidy, work on my book a bit, and read a bit. I took Kirk Douglas' book I Am Spartacus with me to my appointment and read the first three chapters while I waited. I'm hooked.
-
Good morning to everyone. I hope everyone has a great weekend
-
Good morning.
-
Happy Birthday, Thatch!
-
Patrol was short. Annabelle seemed uncertain that she wanted to patrol this morning, but while I stood there with the door open, she finally walked through it. She's become very assertive about the elevator. She walks right to it and wants to ride down to the first floor. we saw no neighbors and no birds, so she became bored quickly, walked back to the elevator and demanded we go home.
so we did.
-
Happy 2nd birthday Thatch 🐾🎁🎈
-
I did indeed crash last night and slept solid until 5:45.
-
DR JohnG, that Cats trailer is amazing. They've taken a lousy show and turned it into a horrifying alien invasion.
-
Happy Birthday, THATCH!
-
I shall begin saving my pennies for the new CREATURE with the mop ballet!
-
I did not watch the CATS trailer posted yesterday....but I did enjoy the article DR JOHN G posted about the upcoming PBS lineup.
-
Last night's audience was good.....even in this heat! We had an almost full house....which is always good and almost everything got laughs....hopefully our final two performances will be the same.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Another Friday that feels like a Saturday, what with Nathan and Kristi here and getting ready to drive over to Foxwoods Casino to see Weird Al Yankovic who's playing there tonight. They're staying overnight and it'll be a nice quick getaway for them.
-
This is day one of our three-day heat wave.
It should get to 90 or just above today, then tomorrow and Sunday will be the real killers.
-
I said it briefly last night, but the news about Creature is wonderful and is most welcomed. I greatly look forward to its eventual release.
-
Ah, the Friday TOD, and once again I come up empty. Too damned busy.
-

A very happy birthday to you, you dear boy!

DR JohnG, that Cats trailer is amazing. They've taken a lousy show and turned it into a horrifying alien invasion.
If they wanted to make a movie of CATS, it should have been animation.

Stay cool.

I disliked the play so this sounds much better to me.
-
Former DR Laura II just had her second baby.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep. Probably would have slept another hour were it not for heavy lawn mowing somewhere close.
-
Happy birthday Thatch
-
Happy birthday, Thatch!
-
to see Weird Al Yankovic who's playing there tonight.
Oy! The lowest form of comedy!!! LOL.
I've imagined Jack at the Encores meet and greet for "Call Me Madam" telling cast member Randy Rainbow there's no possible career future in parodies so stick to ensemble. :)
-
I shall begin saving my pennies for the new CREATURE with the mop ballet!
That reminded me, that I'd seen the Woman of the Year mop dance with Bacall and the "cleaning ladies" on Tv variety shows, that it turned out to be a liftable number!!! This clip is with Wayne Newton.
(the mops start about 2 minutes in; you somehow forget the 2 "cleaning ladies" are well-paid Broadway actresses.)

A Very Happy Second (estimated) Birthday to Larry's Dear Cat, Thatch!! :D

Yes! Please don't let them become literal killers! :o

Well, it looks like there's a certain amount of computer generated animation. ::)

Former DR Laura II just had her second baby.
Congrats to DR Laura II!

I just got an e-mail from Screen Archives (http://www1.screenarchives.com/index.cfm) with this image:

Thatch is absolutely delighted with his birthday wishes from everyone. He wants to know where his presents are, Annabelle wants to remind you her birthday is in November, and Stella refuses to talk.
-
;D
-
Friday afternoon greetings! Richard and I braved the brutal heat and humidity to attend a noon historical lecture in Hamilton and have lunch at a new (to him, but not to me) deli. We’re staying home in the AC as much as possible.
-
Happy Birthday to little Thatch!
-
Good afternoon, all.

AC is your friend.
-
Traffic is atrocious. 10 minutes late for an early teppanyaki dinner
-
An ice cold beer will soon help that.
-
Good afternoon.

Furball wishes a happy birthday to Thatch.

The SAE announcement seems to have confused people on the FSM board, who somehow have taken it to mean that SAE will donate it to some organization of film music society. What a joke. I'm not sure what about the word liquidate they don't understand, but they'll be selling the collection - tons of OOP stuff, tons of one-off rarities. I was offered anything I wanted to take but that didn't feel right to me. But the big estate thing, the Profiles in History auction comes in November.
-
Happy Birthday, Thatch!
-
Saw the new Lion King. I was kind of bored.

Saw the new Lion King. I was kind of bored.
Too bad.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Happy Birthday to Thatch!
I can't believe he's (estimated) two years old!
-
Saw the new Lion King. I was kind of bored.
Thank you. I didn't need to see that one any more than Cats.
-
A beautiful day here. 71 degrees and a nice breeze. Couldn't have been nicer.
Stay cool vibes to all of you suffering through the heat.
-
The heat has been abysmal.
-
Re the CATS trailer, I was surprised at how instantly recognizable Judi Dench and a few of the others were, despite their costumes. I'll probably watch it when it comes to DVD, but I don't expect much.
-
Dinner, however, was wonderful. They cooked 4 -- count 'em, 4 -- steaks for me.
-
The heat has been abysmal.
So I've heard.
-
I felt like a little beef monster. It was lovely.
-
Dinner, however, was wonderful. They cooked 4 -- count 'em, 4 -- steaks for me.
Really? Why?
-
I guess you had mine, plus Jane and Keith's.
-
I have no news.
Weekend vibes to all.
I'm off to watch QUEER EYE.
TTFN.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
They were different cuts and grades of meat.
First was a choice rib-eye, usually my favorite. And it was nicely marbled with a good, toothsome quality.
Then a choice New York strip cooked alongside an Akaushi New York strip. The first had wonderful flavor, then I tasted the Akaushi. It was velvet and practically melted on the tongue. I went back to the regular cut and all of a sudden this meat that was so good before now tasted coarse, difficult to chew and second rate.
The last was an Akaushi tenderloin, and it was so tender you really didn't need your teeth to eat it.
-
I have leftovers for days.
-
I had lox and bagels for the meal o' the day. That was a nice change o' pace. I had the bagels and cream cheese, so I just went to Jerry's Deli and bought five small pieces of lox - cheap and a good meal o' the day.
-
I've been listening to music all afternoon.
-
Dinner, however, was wonderful. They cooked 4 -- count 'em, 4 -- steaks for me.
Really? Why?
see post No. 72.
-
I also had some of what the sushi chef called "beef sashimi." It was really quite good and very unique, like a carpaccio over rice. I'm going to have to steal that idea.
-
Saw the new Lion King. I was kind of bored.
Thank you. I didn't need to see that one any more than Cats.
I don't know why, but I don't have a great interest in seeing The Lion King, but I am interested in seeing Cats...maybe because I've known Cats longer?

You're over the age of 4, so I understand not wanting to see Lion King.
But you're also over the age of 14, so why do you want to see Cats?
-
:)
-
Page three? Really?
-

It sounds like our weather.

:o How many did you eat?
-
I felt like a little beef monster. It was lovely.
All Four!

;D

I have leftovers for days.
Thank goodness you didn't eat it all.

Where were the bagels from?

More food, oh my.
-
I believe we will watch an episode of JUSTIFIED tonight, unless Keith found a movie for us to watch. We didn't rent anything.
-
We have been watching WHAT'S MY LINE and will watch an episode from 1955 tonight.
-
I think I'm going to turn in early.
-
I have too much work to do, but I can't focus.
-
Good night, all.
-
Good night, John. I must be off, too. My sister wants me to come over and help move the fence for the chickens. They have a fenced area outside of the coop where they can go, but it gets all poopy, so it needs to be moved every once in a while. ::)
Be back later.

In Kritzerland, Benjamin goes on his first out of town trip, to St. Louis, in the summer of 1960, July to be exact. When he gets back he goes to see Psycho at the El Rey Theater. We now know that was on August 9th, the Wednesday it opened. In St. Louis, he, as I did, sees the musical Rosalie at The Muny, something I've never forgotten, even the title tune which I can sing now without having heard it since. So, I just Googled it and there it was - but what was surprising was who I saw in it - who knew?
July 25–31. Rosalie. Dorothy Collins, Bobby Van, Arthur Treacher.
-
I have no recall of what this was for, but I imagineered Disney recycling "Lion King" for when they do "Dumbo."
Re-using the tune of “Circle of Life”
(chant)
Fly in Dumbo - with his ears he can fly
Flying Dumbo - see his ears make him fly
Come on fly him, when ya gonna fly him?
Come on fly him, when ya gonna fly him?
Come on fly him, when ya gonna fly him?
Come on fly him, when ya gonna fly him?
From the time we arrive at the venue
We’re glad not to sit through a plot
The kids don’t need scenes that should never be seen
No story and we say “So what?”
There’s may be a lot to take in here
But we’re here and we all know why
For now boredom is gone
The kids cheer Dumbo on
Yes, we’re watching an elephant fly
It’s the Circus of Life - yes, we’re all in thrall
The kids feel we're great - we bought their love
Dumbo finally flew
We all point in wonder
It’s the Circus, the Circus of Life
(maybe there was an article about a stage version of DUMBO?)
-
Good evening.
-
I am the Great and Powerful Wizard of Oz.
-
Or so I've been told.
-
Didn't eat a whole meal today, so I'm eating a few snacks before bed.
-
Sadly, nobody made me four steaks.
-
Page four??? Really?
-
Still listening to music. Got a batch of CDs in the mail today. I did watch a couple of videos on the Tube of You
-
I need to try and get to sleep.
-
Good evening.
-
One post since 9:17 p.m.?
-
Page 4? Really?
-
Perhaps the heat has affected everyone’s typing skills.
-
Or perhaps people prefer to use their AC, instead of their computers.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
CATS, the movie appears to be everything the stage musical was.... and less.
-

Hi, George.
-
We are expecting the temperature to reach the mid to upper seventies tomorrow!
-
Eat your heart out, NYC!
-
I can’t imagine being one of those people stuck in the subway today.
-
Today at work, I received the Blu-ray to the 1999 London cast revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma! (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06VSWVGQB), with pre-Wolverine Hugh Jackman, who (if I remember correctly) wasn't a big enough star at the time to transfer with the production to Broadway.
-
I can’t imagine being one of those people stuck in the subway today.
Oh, no! :o I hadn't heard about that!
-
Also received at work was a 3D Wooden Perpetual Calendar Puzzle (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HDKYCWY/)!
-

Here's a picture:
-
And here's kind of a side view:
-
And here's the back:
-
I assembled the whole thing all my my lonesome...and without any glue. :)
-
After work, I went to my sister's, and we moved the chicken's gazebo and fence.
-
And when I got home, I came home to these!
-
Thanks, Jane and Keith! :-*
-
Here's the back of them:
-
:D
-
And when I got home, I came home to these!
Your earrings don’t match.
-
Those are actually very nice.
-
When I was packing to move, I found a couple of packages that belong to you. Unfortunately, now that I have moved, I can’t find them again.
-
Of course I can’t find four pairs of jeans and one checkbook, either.
-

Where do you put the batteries?
-
And my jewelry box.
-
Oh, I need sleep.
-
Good night, George.

Finished with my viewing, notes are written and posted, and now I shall change the topic of the day.
