Well, you've read the notes, the notes killed, and now it is time for you to post until the killer cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HETEROGRAPHY!
-
First after BK, that hasn't happened for , I don't know, years now I think.
-
John G I am so terribly sorry to hear about your friends. Sending you hugs and love and vibes of comfort.
-
Tom, I am very sorry about the loss of your friend. Sending you hugs and love and vibes of comfort .
-
John G you obviously strive for excellence in your work. What is so bad about acknowledging it when you achieve it?
I hope your boss put you in for a hefty raise
-
Last night I fell asleep after dinner while watching tv
-
Last thing I remember was Downton Abbey ending and then it was this morning
-
Today I am heading into Manhattan to see Road Show, which I know absolutely nothing about. It was a spur of the moment decision when I heard Sondheim was doing the talkback today.

Good morning, all!
-
Condolences to DRs JohnG and TCB.
-
DR vixmom, have fun at City Center!
-
I am no longer sure this job offer is going to land in my lap, and I'm rather distressed over it. Berlington Bertie may be able to live on plates of fresh air, but the kitties and I cannot.
-
I may do laundry this weekend, if there's enough money on my laundry card to pay for it.
-
Annabelle waits to patrol.
-
Good morning!
-
Condolences to DR TCB and DR JohnG on the loss of their friends.
-
Last night I saw Melissa Errico at Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA. She performed her Sondheim show. Lots of stories along with songs. A very enjoyable evening.
-
Well, patrol was a disaster. Annabelle is not happy and I am not happy.
It all began when Stella leaped off the filing cabinet, slid across the computer table and knocked my coffee into my lap and went downhill from there.
-
Good morning, all.
-
DR TCB my condolences on the sudden passing of your friend :(
-
DR Elmore, OMG. I can’t even imagine that kind of start to the day.
Well, actually, yes I can. I can, indeed.
-
JOB VIBES FOR DR ELMORE!
-
More condolences to DRs JohnG and TCB.

JOB VIBES FOR DR ELMORE!

Day Gets Better Vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
So, yesterday was long and brutal, but I was able to cap it off by watching a most enjoyable comedy.
It was about this... creature...
-
:)
-
DR TCB thanks for answering my ordering question. A fb friend was describing her screwed up pick-up order, yet it was ok that she had to accept substitute cookies. Maybe she had checked the box substitutes were ok.
-
I went to the basement to do a few stretching exercises, and while I was there, I checked my laundry card. I have enough money on it to do the laundry, so I'll do that tomorrow morning.
-
I have never heard of a laundry card. It sounds easier than saving a supply of coins. Do you update it online or at a machine in the laundry room?
-
Good morning, all.
-
It's been a busy morning already, and I have to leave soon for a dance class.
-
Thank you, all, for the kind remarks. Jan was one of the first friends I made when I moved to San Antonio, because she and her husband had started dancing shortly before I did.
-
Vibes of comfort, TCB, on Mark's passing.
-
John G you obviously strive for excellence in your work. What is so bad about acknowledging it when you achieve it?
I hope your boss put you in for a hefty raise
She's trying to get me a promotion. Signs of growth and development are a part of that.
-

I'm very sorry to read this. Crotch coffee is never pleasant. I hope it wasn't too hot.
-
Off to the rest of the day.
-

I haven’t either. I’m afraid to recall what the washers and dryers cost in the places I lived, because it’s now been 30 years since I lived in an apartment. I’m even more afraid to ask what these things cost NOW.
(I’m thinking it was a couple of quarters for the washer and one for the dryer? I do remember it once being a dime for a dryer cycle at commercial laundromats...)
-
Tonight, finally, is PIPPIN. A few of the songs are wicked with patch changes and page turns, and I will shortly be back at the keyboard for more practice at it. Pray for that baby.

Praying for that baby!

Craig lives in a large complex of apartments. I am curious now if he has a laundry card & how much his loads cost. When he can finally move he hopes to find a place with room for a washer & dryer.
-
Saturday afternoon greetings! Started my morning pushing the BREW button on the Keurig before placing a cup in the proper place. Fortunately I caught the mistake before it made a total mess. And there isn't even a cat here to blame since the upstairs housemates moved out...
-
;D
-
I have done that, just not with coffee.
-
At least not my coffee since I don't drink it.
-
Lordy, DR Ginny. I have done that very thing. It's a quick save, but God forbid you actually miss it.... :)
-
Was up early and am at Jerry’s where I shall have a light breakfast
-
So here's my quick report to BK after watching THE CREATURE WASN'T NICE last night:
It's delightful. Music is great (with theremin, yes, for God’s sake), Max is great, the jokes work, and it flows. Perfect casting, of course. Nielsen and Macnee are incredible. I can’t imagine anyone not liking it.
Oddly enough, I found I’ll now have to take another look at the DVD cut to fully appreciate the crap treatment it got. I’ll probably just wait for your release, but what a comparison that will be. Thank you for the preview! Now if only Nick Redman were here to join you in that second commentary...
It really is like night and day. And like I said earlier, it feels like a real movie now, as opposed to a mish-mash of scenes thrown together. Very glad this is happening.
-
Good morning.
-
Hugs to TCB and John G. on the loss of their friends.
-
When he can finally move he hopes to find a place with room for a washer & dryer.
I told my kids to not even look at a place that doesn't have its own laundry hookups.
-
Condolences to DRs TCB and John G...

She's trying to get me a promotion. Signs of growth and development are a part of that.
Vibes she gets you the promotion.
Thank you. I've been doing the job for the past two years and have only grown it, with a lot of help from Krista.

I like it. I wish I had had something like that back in the day.
-
I went to Lowe's because I had to get J.B. some toys to destroy (he likes dried corn on the cob). I picked up a new lawn sprinkler as the old one simply broke earlier this week. When I went out to hook up the new, I also watered the plants, because they were dying in the heat. I took a look at the fruit on the olive tree and noticed that one olive had turned dark pink overnight. That means they are ripening. Really cool stuff.

Esteban forgot our dance lesson was at 11 this morning, so he missed it, which was fine with Joy and me. We're both otherwise in our heads after the news about Jan. Anyway, we met up with Esteban for breakfast instead. As we were finishing up, he remembered he was late for another class.
He went off to class and he used his dance towels in that. He sent a text of the one he picked out of the bag. It had Jan's name on it, which can be considered a bit of a coincidence. But it also bore the date 7-26-06 on it, which was 13 years to exact day that she died.
-
After rereading GEE this week, I find that an eerie coincidence.
-
I need a nap.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Laundry is done for today. There's some cleaning to do, but that may or may not get done.
-
Our weather is cooling, thankfully. In West LA it's been in the high 80s, but that's too hot for this weather wuss. Low 80s are much more tolerable.
-
First off, condolences to TCB and JohnG.
-
Second off, back from a bacon and cheese omelet, picking up no packages, and putting gas in the motor car.
-
Jane, ChocZero isn't really sold in stores. It's a small company in Fullerton, CA and they feel they can't handle a lot of shipping. It's available on Amazon. The company's website says that they'd like to see some small businesses become retailers. I tried to convince my hairdresser, Richard, to do that. In his salon he has a small display counter that he calls the chocolate bar and he sells fudge and some other types of chocolate. So far he hasn't budged. It would be a good arrangement for some small businesses, I think. Do you know any small shops in your area that might be game?
-
Bruce, please be careful exercising in the heat.
-
Re: laundry facilities:
We have a small laundry room in my building--just one washer and one dryer. It's $1.50 for the washer and another $1.50 for the dryer. (All quarters, but there's now an app as well.) The local laundromats, of which there are few, can be a better deal, because their big dryers can handle three loads at a time and it's cheaper. But parking is scarce near these places.
-
A few apartment buildings in the area have a W/D in the unit, but those apartments usually start around $2500/month. I'd kill for my own washer and dryer, but housing here is terribly expensive.
-
Second off, back from a bacon and cheese omelet, picking up no packages, and putting gas in the motor car.
little joke here. I'll refrain. I'm not much more savvy about cars than BK.
-
Good weekend vibes to everyone, plus more-work-pronto vibes to Elmore.
-
TTFN.

When he can finally move he hopes to find a place with room for a washer & dryer.
I told my kids to not even look at a place that doesn't have its own laundry hookups.
It will be easier to find a place once he doesn't have a dog or buys something. Bryan has been more fortunate with his options.
-
I have never heard of a laundry card. It sounds easier than saving a supply of coins. Do you update it online or at a machine in the laundry room?

Thanks. Does the card work at laundromats as well or is it just for your building?

You got lucky having Krista in your camp :)

Bittersweet.

I gather you do not have a laundry card. How much does it cost you to do laundry?
I will not delete this post though you have already answered my question.
-
It is currently 71 degrees and the humidity has dropped from 85% this morning to 59%.

No. I would have in Ashland. I kind of kept my eye out for it when we have traveled thinking it might be in a small shop.

But you do know there is this manual in your glove compartment to look up information ;)

Warm today but heat pump is working fine!
I like those happenstances DR JOHN G. I was looking at a Bible owned by my mother a few months after she passed away - and the date she wrote in it, I'm assuming when she got it, was June 28, 1998 - 30 years to the day before she died.

Let’s move on...
-
Four!
-
I'm watching Eric Rohmer's Pauline at the Beach. It's a lovely comedy, but it couldn't be made today. An older cousin throwing a man at a 15-year-old girl would not be considered acceptable today.

JOB VIBES FOR DR ELMORE!

Saturday afternoon greetings! Started my morning pushing the BREW button on the Keurig before placing a cup in the proper place. Fortunately I caught the mistake before it made a total mess. And there isn't even a cat here to blame since the upstairs housemates moved out...
Yikes!
-
And then imagine doing that with a whole pot when working at the concessions counter for your local performing arts center. :o
-
Well, I'm all caught up with today's posts. Now, I need to shower, shave (desperately), get dressed, get food, then usher for the final performance of Man of La Mancha. Margo is also ushering, so we're going out to the local McMenamin's after the show. Then I'll come home.
Until later!
-

Online.
Thanks. Does the card work at laundromats as well or is it just for your building?
I assume it works for all appliances in the system.
-
Finished a motion picture and probably should cool down the home environment.
-
She of the Evil Eye, who does not know how to shut doors occasionally, has let in an Unseemly Fly. Said fly will be dead as soon as I find it.

Today Susan Gordon would have been 70 :(
-
I'm sorry for not having been here for a while.
Or maybe it hasn't been that long. I haven't been able to catch up, but I'll try to in a few days.
-
Looking forward to a visit from vixmom after her matinee tomorrow.
-
She said not to have food, but we may just gave some tiny appetizers. Is a pot roast a tiny appetizer? (Kidding. Actually, Skip has a lesson to teach in the afternoon, but will be done well before 5, so we'll keep snacks very simple. I voted for PopTarts and Little Debbie's cakes, but I don't think I'm getting that.)
-
What about something low calorie :)
-
The cherries and peaches have been especially delicious this summer.
-
What about something low calorie :)
that's why I won't be allowed to buy the snacks.
-
Back from dancing. It was fun tonight, but there were way too many people there. The dance floor often got too crowded.
-
Back to last 20 minutes or so of Pauline at the Beach.
-

I think a pot roast is a delightful appetizer, if you followup with that side bouef.
As Cole Porter once wrote, "If you find it pleasant to take me for chow, for you, order pheasant, for baby, kill a cow!"

Just happened on the real Judge Jeanine Pirro show, and it sounds like she's now making herself sound like the SNL version of herself.
one of the SNL Judge Jeanine Pirro spoofs :)

Looking forward to a visit from vixmom after her matinee tomorrow.
And I am looking forward to visiting!
-
Road show was interesting
-
And the talkback was very interesting
-
It was such a nice day I decided to wander around a little after the show and just look at things
-
I passed an ice cream shop that was selling vegan ice cream
-
Which I never tasted and which I don't really understand
-
But i tried a sample spoon and it was so tasty I had a scoop
-
Oat milk chocolate crunch (no cashews) was the name
-
I also had a scoop of brown sugar snicker doodle
-
Which was also vegan
-
Cauliflower crust pizza Thursday, vegan ice cream today
-
I don't even know who I am anymore
-
Why I oughta...
-
Watched two motion pictures, had a little Taco Bell to supplement the breakfast, and then did the unthinkable - another four-mile walk in the opposite direction to last night's.
-
Isn't all ice cream vegan? I'v never heard of meatball ice cream.
But didn't Neil Diamond sing about chicken ripple ice cream?
-
What about something low calorie :)
that's why I won't be allowed to buy the snacks.
;D
-
Which I never tasted and which I don't really understand
No cows were harmed. If I followed my conscience I would be a vegan.
-
But i tried a sample spoon and it was so tasty I had a scoop
I am glad to hear this.
-
I don't even know who I am anymore
😄
-
Evenin', everybody! Just wanted to let you all know I have returned home safe and sound from my trip to Utah. Had a great time and will provide details later. Now I want to ketchup on what I missed so I can understand what's going on.

It sounds intriguing.
-
Welcome home Jan. I am glad you had a great time.
-
Good evening.
-
Hi, Jane.
-
Welcome home, jan.
-
John, my condolences on the passing of your friend. I apologize that I missed that yesterday, I was being a bit self-absorbed.
-
Thanks to all of you for the good wishes today.
-
It was fairly hot here today, but my condo is always nice and cool.
-
It is supposed to stay nice for the next week, at least.
-
I forgot to eat today, so I had some crackers. I doubt I will die before tomorrow.
-
Not a single phone call today.
-
Why do I even have unlimited minutes on my phone??
-
Well!
-
What should I do now?
-
We are getting very close.
-
Just one more post.
-
