I have to say, if I had gone to the pound to choose a cat, I would have chosen Asha. She's pretty great. Everything I wanted, except not a calico.
Leonard is leaving Rex alone since Asha got here. Leonard gets close to Asha and watches her, but there is no fighting.

TOD: I make my own salad dressing. It is different every time. It depends on what I pull out of the cupboard.
TOD:
I love salad dressings with anchovies in them, including a Caesar’s or green goddess.
Blue cheese of most any sort
The kid in me loves Thousand Island, but the sugar makes it off limits.

Sandra loves the Thousand Island at The Spaghetti Factory. I make a copy-cat version once in a while.
I like to keep the grated parmesan in the green can to use in dressing. I use it as a seasoning rather than as grated cheese.
I want to start learning what makes nice Chinese (or Asian) salads and slaws. I recently downloaded a few recipes that I haven't had one minute to look at yet.
I can eat a little creamy blue cheese dressing if it is mild. Blue cheese is a headache food, plus I am not a big fan of the taste if it is strong.
Take care, Druxy.

Went to Target and bought various food items. Got home, unpacked the perishable items, such as yogurt and cheese. After I had lunch I thought "I wonder where those cheese puffs are? And how about the English muffins? " Turns out I had left the bag in the cart. I went back to Target and they actually had the bag for me!
Speaking of car repairs, when I got back to my car, I put the windows down as I put the A/C on, just because it was so very hot inside. It was just going to be momentarily, but the driver's side window wouldn't go back up. Oh, no! I thought maybe I should take it right to the repair place but decided to go home first. I tried it one more time. It miraculously worked. Now, I have to remember not to put that window down, at least until I get back from my upcoming trip.

I do not like french dressing at all.

I would have expected the bag to be waiting for you.
Ohh I am only 9 away from another plateau
I always ask the waiter to serve the salad undressed........
Why forsake a habit of a lifetime now, says I?

Make your own Thousand Island dressing and it won't have any added sugar.
DR Kevin, please jog my memory. When are you leaving?

Do you make your own balsamic dressing?
When I make salads at home I like iceberg lettuce, shredded carrots, vidalia or red onion, mushrooms, cucumber, green, red and yellow peppers, mandarin orange slices, slivered almonds, shredded red cabbage, and sometimes I'll add some thinly sliced roasted chicken breast if there's any going.
Vixdad gets tomatoes in his, I can't abide the taste of raw tomatoes so I go without

I like ketchup and sweet pickle relish in my thousand island dressing. And that's a haven of sugar.
DR Kevin, please jog my memory. When are you leaving?
I'm leaving for NYC on Friday, then to Chicago on Monday. BJS concerts on Saturday in Madison Square Garden and on Tuesday at the United Center.

No. Wishbone makes it for me.

I hadn't heard about this. Jane, was your "thank goodness" because a new deli is taking Lenny's place or because Lenny's closed?
I like balsamic dressing. I've been looking for a good one. Walden Farms makes one that's very tasty, but it contains artificial sweeteners, which I don't want. I find many bottled dressings sweet these days. I don't know if I'm just more sensitive to it, or the makers are catering to the public's desire for sweetness.
John G??
Speaking of photos, DR George thanks for the cute one of Neve.
And on that note (A#), I'm outta here. I'm going to a local restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday with other friends, then we're all going to see The Muppet Movie on the big screen!
Be back later!
I miss eating the Creamy Walla Walla Sweet Onion Salad Dressing on my salads at home. It is a special treat these days.

When I make a salad, I like to include a lot herbs from the garden. That would include two types of chives, mint, sorrel, oregano, Mexican mint marigold (which tastes like tarragon), parsley, thyme and a touch of rosemary.
I'm listening to Viennese waltzes - not my kind of thing, really, but they're so well performed by Antal Dorati in superb Living Presence sound. It's amazing how instantly recognizable these are - not by composer or name, but the minute they start up.
I am having scooter problems.
Sunday the battery died on my front porch just when I got home from having pizza.
Turned out, my charger had gotten unplugged sometime without me knowing it.
So, I rechaged it for over 24 hours to make sure it was back to normal.
Today, I took it to the store, stopped to look at dressers, then made one more quick stop at Fred Meyer’s; and just when I got in the front door it died again.
So, I am guessing that the battery is screwed up from completely recharging, and I will need to replace it.
