I've "intended" to read The Power Broker for probably the past twenty years. It's got a sterling reputation. At one point I had the hardcover edition, which I did start at one time, and I know I flipped through and read little sections here and there. Maybe the audiobook instead would prove to be just the ticket,

The daughter of a friend of mine was getting married. He asked me if I would write a piano arrangement of the "My little Girl" section of the Soliloquy from Carousel for him and his daughter to dance to at the reception. I did it for no fee and gave it to him as a wedding present. Now his grandson is leaving for college to major in math and music and he's been playing the arrangement, which has become a part of family lore. The check was a thank you.

I did a play about five years ago and one of the actresses showed up in a cast and a leg-scooter-thing and she said her foot broke just on its own! She didn't hurt it or get it caught in something. It was just broken. Very strange! :-\

The daughter of a friend of mine was getting married. He asked me if I would write a piano arrangement of the "My little Girl" section of the Soliloquy from Carousel for him and his daughter to dance to at the reception. I did it for no fee and gave it to him as a wedding present. Now his grandson is leaving for college to major in math and music and he's been playing the arrangement, which has become a part of family lore. The check was a thank you.

This is a very, very nice story.

We ended up doing great but Monday until late in the evening was a complete bust - hopefully that will happen tonight. I'm going to rifle through my musical theater sheet music - the two film music batches went so I think one with musicals (and I have rare stuff - I have published sheet music for the songs that were cut from Funny Thing) so we'll see what I find.

If not for that I would have been rather unhappy about the earlier than needed alarm. Next time I will make sure to listen to the time she sets the timefor instead of just confirming she set an alarm-lol
