Well, you've read the notes, the notes were blocked, and now it is time for you to post until the blocked cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: JANNOCK!
-
How could he write down his blocking? He spends the entire act in a wheelchair.
-
Actually, George, you will be proud of me. Besides 42ND STREET, I also have THE KING AND I, RED, and KINKY BOOTS set to record.
-
I guess George has left the building.
-
Good night.
-
Actually, George, you will be proud of me. Besides 42ND STREET, I also have THE KING AND I, RED, and KINKY BOOTS set to record.
Cool! I'm really looking forward to this year's shows.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Today, I'm going to see a play adaptation of Shakespeare in Love in Tacoma. A couple of non-HHW friends of mine have seen it. I haven't spoken to them yet, but they posted on FB that they enjoyed it. I know Tom posted that it was "not really [his] cup of tea." We'll see how I feel about it. :)
-
And now, I'm off to bed. We'll see how my cat Neve feels about an extra hour of sleep. 8)
Have a good day, all!
-
I don't know - it just turned two o'clock and yet it's one o'clock.
-
I'd already changed the clocks.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Given my limitations, I slept rather well, although at this moment the heat is not coming on in my apartment. For the past 39 years I've kept the radiator down as far as possible since it always got too warm, but this year, I'm getting nothing. Tomorrow I will tackle the super about it.
-
I am very happy that Annabelle's in good health at the moment. She back to hopping around with the other two waiting for me to produce their dishes filled with Fancy Feast and gathering about me as soon as I get to their food mats. It's when she's indifferent to a meal that I worry.
-
BK, isn't it great to have a complete cast? Good news indeed!
-
Last night I dreamed I was directing The Beggar's Opera on Eighth Avenue, between 47th and 48th Streets. The street was blocked off, the next day was the dress rehearsal, and one of my actors, an old Middletown friend of mine and DR Ginny, told me he couldn't be there because of a wedding. Another actor in the cast was Todd Buonopane, who plated the silly ass fiance of the leading lady in The New Yorkers two years ago.
-
I suspect today will mainly be work on Babes In Toyland. I do not return to City Center until Wednesday, so I would like to finish up these reports by the end of the week.
-
Good morning, all.
-
And good morning, Mr Smith!
-
The kitty cleanup is completed. I'm pondering breakfast. I wish we had an IHOP handy.
-
I stayed up a little too late, but no harm done as I ended up having an excellent sleep. I got up when my non-automatic clock radio said 8:15 and felt fine, then relished the act of setting it back an hour. Nathan and Kristi had already set the kitchen ones back and were outside doing their bird watching, so:
Welcome to my extra hour, everyone.
-
Top o’ the morning, DR Elmore!
-
I, too, feel like having a real breakfast this morning, but not for a while yet.
The Danbury area has never had an IHOP, either, or any other “pancake house” type of jernt that I can recall. There’s a classic IHOP in White Plains and I’m thinking maybe one in Stamford, but it’s been several years since I’ve been to one of those. I generally get to IHOPs only in beautiful SW Ohio, as I did a few weeks ago.
-
Good morning!
-
Good morning, all. Lazy day today after two busy ones. I need to check out of the AirBnB this morning, mosey over to the Marriott Marquis and drop off my luggage until check-in at 4, then wander around.
-
One thing I forgot about Marriotts is that they charge $20 a day for Internet service. That’s ridiculous in this day and age. And quite lucrative, I’m sure.
-
Clocks are set back!
-
Congrats and continued blocking vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
We have the Blueberry Hill Pancake House in town.....it is neither Blue nor on a Hill, but it does serve Pancakes 24/7 along with assorted other food.
I always get the western omelet which is most excellent.
-
Well who was hanging out with at 18 year old Glen Levit the other night?
DR JANE & DR VIXMOM both deny it.....
-
I am making chicken and noodles today.....
-
I am making chicken and noodles today.....
That sounds so good!

Just use the hotspot connection on your phone.
-
I too do not like heights.

;D
-
So much for an extra hour of sleep. I woke up at 4:30. Keith was also up early.
-
Hmmm DR George, I did recently mention Washington, Oregon, & California would still be setting the clocks back since the government didn't approve the request to stay on Daylight Saving time.
-
I really do not want a longer time difference from my children.
-

I remember that from nearly a decade ago when it was $15 a day. Highway robbery.

I seem to think this is supposed to draw a lot of battery power or something, but it sure is a lifesaver.
-
Sunday morning greetings! Yesterday was a busy day - I had a DAR luncheon meeting at which I was one of the speakers and Richard went to Lima to perform the funeral service for Mr. L, the former parishioner we visited in the hospital on his 99th birthday. We were both kind of wiped out in the evening.
-
Today we're going with our friends Tom and Sharon to Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park for the matinee performance of Lifespan of a Fact.
-

And was I rehearsal assistant again? I'll try not to get bronchitis like I did here in Middletown in 1979...
-
DR Elmore, I've been meaning to tell you that time-change behavior modification did not work on a toddler 33 years ago, so I doubt it'll work on cats today.
-
Well who was hanging out with at 18 year old Glen Levit the other night?
DR JANE & DR VIXMOM both deny it.....
That would be DR Jane, despite her denials 😉
-
Back from church.
-
And vixdad and I have enjoyed our egg sandwiches
-
And we are just now enjoying a second nice cup of hot tea
-
All the new coffee hour volunteers are such a blessing. I just have to make sure that we are well supplied and they do the rest
-
I have altar guild this month but it’s so much easier now we have moved the Saturday evening service to Wednesday evening
-
It was nice to wake up with the sun streaming through the windows
-
It won’t be so nice coming home in the pitch black tomorrow night
-
It was nice to wake up with the sun streaming through the windows
Yes, it was!
-
It won’t be so nice coming home in the pitch black tomorrow night
Everything's a trade-off, DR Vixmom!
-
OK, time to sign off and get ourselves ready to be picked up in an hour.
Bye for now!
-

Well, I actually think it did. The kitties got their food an hour later yesterday afternoon and evening, and instead of their usual "get up and feed me" activity around 5:00AM, they did not begin it until close to six. I got up to check ther clopck and it was 6:09!
-
This morning I finished the Babes In Toyland Main Editorial Report revisions and cleaned up the new libretto. Good progress, I think.

Yes but you can charge it for free in your hotel room ;) I leave my phone charging while I use my tablet.

I am not denying indulging in 18 year old scotch. I wouldn't have indulged if they carried 12 year.
-
My pets learned they ate when I got up, whenever that was & until then they had better leave me alone. Dogs were permitted to wake me to go out to potty but then I was permitted to go back to bed if I felt like it ;D
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
LOL DR JANE.
-
Went out in the freezing weather to get a long-sleeved shirt and just walk around. I ended up with three pairs of socks, a short-sleeved shirt and a pair of shorts. Go figure.
-
Had lunch at a Himalayan place, named aptly enough Himalayan Restaurant.
-
It tasted mostly Indian to me. Had salmon in a spicy curry and some chicken dumplings as well as garlic naan.
-
Then meandered back to the hotel.
-
Back from picking up a package - containing a toaster from Amazon. I kept meaning to get one ever since I moved and never got around to it. I had a nice credit at Amazon and so how I have one. Haven't tried it out yet.
-
I decided on pizza for the meal o' the day - it was good.
-

Because there are a lot of shops in Chicago. Did you make it to Uniqlo? They have great clothes for traveling plus lightweight vests & coats to keep you warm.

Sounds interesting. Did you like it?
-

The "interesting" part of my comment has been solved.

I made it to Macy’s in the old Marshall Field building.

My lightweight coat is the warmest I’ve ever worn. So warm I have to open it or take it off in every place I go into.
-
I’m now in an Italian joint called Pizano’s, owned by a member of the Malnati famiky, which started deep-dish pizza.
-
The low-carb pizza is made with a sausage crust.
-
I’m sitting under a picture of Joe E. Brown, a character actor who did not make anyone’s list the other day.
-
And we're back from a delightful afternoon with our friends Tom and Sharon. The play was very thought-provoking and provided fuel for some great conversation over a meal at Bravo Italian Cucina. We got some info about the new building for which Cincinnati Playhouse is about to break ground.
-
While we were occupied today, Rob and Mary Linda made the announcement to extended family that she has accepted a work promotion that will have them moving to Chicagoland after the first of the year. We've known for a couple of months, which is why I've kept kind of quiet here. Didn't want to spill it before all the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins knew. There is also a job for Rob in the package and, for the first time in their marriage, he will work days and they will have similar hours.

Even the frozen food section of the market ;)

Are you eating your way through Chicago?
-

I like the idea of a low-carb pizza but that would not do for me. Even when I liked meat I was not a fan of sausage. Keith always got it on our pizzas & I ate around it.
-

I think of him more as a "character" than a character actor -lol

Congratulations to them both. What will Rob be doing in this new job & what about their new house??

Rob will be working in one of the testing labs, similar to what he's been doing here since last spring. Their house here will be going on the market soon :'(
-
I am sorry about the house. I hope they won't lose money on it. If the company has offered to buy the house if it doesn't sell I highly suggest finding out what that amount will be before they put the house on the market.
-
Good advice, DR Jane, from someone who's been there. I'll pass that along...
-
Good evening.
-
It's been a busy bunch of days, and this week promises more of the same.
-
I am guessing Magdalena is already much bigger than this photo.
-
She has grown a bit. She is giving Asha headaches with all the pouncing.
-
Aww, I hope Asha is ok with it.
-
The low-price hotel turns out to be lovely, but somehow in something if a red light area, which I guess is the reason they have low rates to attract people who there are so many hotels around??
And there really aren't other large hotels around that spot.
-
It is a relief you are pleased with the hotel.
-

I try. 😊
-
I’m loving Chicago, Ginny. I think Rob and Mary Linda will, too.

You reminder me of former DR Jose.
-

Former DR Jose also loves it ;)
-
Bryan & Kate are also happy there though there is a good chance they will be move in the next couple of years.
-
Weather wise I do not look forward to going to Chicago in February.
-
Page four? Really?
-
I nodded off for an hour.
-
Finished Godzilla Raids Again and have been checking out the other films in the set.
-
Now I'm listening to piano music of Gabriel Faure - beautiful.
-
I’m listening to Ravel and reading Zola. Nice relaxed evening before the fun begins.
-
Feels strange to be relaxing after so many days on the move.
-
Good night, all.
-
Spent the last hour reading script pages and writing detailed notes on them.
-
We have the Blueberry Hill Pancake House in town.....it is neither Blue nor on a Hill, but it does serve Pancakes 24/7 along with assorted other food.

There are two IHOPs in the Lacey/Olympia area.
-
I'm back from seeing Shakespeare in Love in Tacoma.
-
Gratuitous Post #111!
-
I really enjoyed the show.
-
The actors were all really good, and the costumes were fabulous.
-
Hello.
-
Still listening to the piano music of Faure - four CDs' worth.
-
Tom, I kind of agree with your opinion of the Viola. She's a good actress, but not exactly right in the role.
-
Hi, Jane and BK.
-
I should try and go to sleep since I need to get up early.
-
Hi George.
-
`night
-
I didn't know it, but in addition to my friend Rodman who played Will Shakespeare, I knew a couple of other actors in the show.
-
Good night, Jane.
-
Tom, you didn't post that Micheal O'Hara was in the show.
-
I got to talk to Sharry at intermission, but I stayed for the talkback after the show and didn't get to see him, or the other person I knew, Brian Tyrrell.
-
I did get to chat with Rodman.
-
He's going to be in Olympia Little Theatre's Christmas show, Miss Bennet, Christmas at Pemberly (http://www.olympialittletheater.org/shows/missbennet/), as well as their next show, Equivocation (http://www.olympialittletheater.org/shows/equivocation/), for which I'll be running sound.
-
I didn't realize that Equivocation had had auditions, already.
-
That's going to be a fun show.
-
So, I recently discovered that FETV (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/FETV) has been showing episodes of The Partridge Family.
-
Yesterday, they broadcast one of BK's episodes, "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Partridge."
-
I think I had only seen one episode before, so it's fun seeing BK in another episode.
-
I wonder if they'll get through the whole series.
-
If they do, I'm going to try to catch all of BK's episodes and put them on one DVD. :)
-
I always wonder how much is actually cut out of each episode for these syndicated broadcasts.
-
It's fun to see Ray Bolger and Rosemary DeCamp as Shirley's parents.
-
According to the IMDb listing (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065333/reference), Ray Bolger played Grandpa Fred Renfrew, but Jackie Coogan played Grandpa Walter Renfrew.
-
I know characters have been recast, but they usually use the same name.
-
Good evening.
-
In the episode that I'm watching now, Shirley sings Jerry Herman's "My Best Girl" to her parents, and Ray Bolger sings a little bit at the end.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Tom, you didn't post that Micheal O'Hara was in the show.
If you go to THE UN-POWER LUNCH from October 19, I wrote, “Micheal O’Hara played Christopher Marlowe.”
I didn’t think I needed to post it more than once.
-

SPOO!! I searched Micheal's name to see if you posted that and didn't see your post. ::)
-
...the first time I searched. I just found it. Dopey me!

Isn’t that the same sale that George mentioned the other day?

-
Will they be living in Chicago proper?
-
Or perhaps improper?
-
One more post.
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-

DR JANE & DR VIXMOM both deny it.....

I don't know crap anything about Scotch, or any alcohols. Does it really make that much of a difference?

That's pretty much the way Neve is, and Ebonie before her. ;)

Congrats to Mary Linda and Rob!
-
Too bad for you that they're moving away, though.

When Harry Met Sally is on Showtime right now.
-
I remember getting the soundtrack and that was the first time I had heard of Harry Connick, Jr.
-
I really like that soundtrack.
