Well, you've read the notes, the notes are over - not, and now it is time for you to post until the over-not cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EMPATHY!
-
First post after BK.
-
Hopefully with the switching of the servers and the updating of WordPress, posts don't get lost like that one time. I don't remember exactly what happened, but I remember that everyone's posing count dropped. :-\

Off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Last night was my first good night of sleep in a week. I'm very pleased about that.
-
This morning I need to step out and purchase some Dulcolax. Two tablets came with the colonoscopy kit, but I can't find them now that I need them.
-
I will be very, very, very happy when this day and tomorrow's procedure are over.
-
Annabelle is in fine fettle this morning. She and Stella have been wrestling and running all over the apartment. I must still deal with Thatch's vet appointment.
-
Good morning, all.

The lines can be long here as well. Yes, all those clothes and no place to try them on. Leggings for trying on pants is a good idea. Funny, I have never seen anyone try clothes on there.
I see people try on shoes, jackets, sweatshirts... but you're right. Almost nobody else tries on anything else. But I like to know that what i am buying will at least fit and not be too small. I've actually even tried on a tankini bathing suit top (over a thin t-shirt). :)
-
Kitty cleanup is over, I've had some yogurt with my meds, and as soon as I make the bed, I will head for a pharmacy.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Prep day vibes for DR Elmore!
-
The misery part of my cold is over. I've got plenty of stuff in my head, but it's manageable.
-
Empathy is something we need more of......like salt on the potato salad.
-
Prep Day vibes for DR ELMORE....
Hats off to your colonoscopy! Hopefully they will give you the great stuff so you can astral travel during the procedure.....
-
MR BK I think writing your own ballet music is a great idea....and then you can expand it to a full ballet.....
Benjamin Kritzer En Pointe.....
-
I have to get some things done this morning, but I shall think about the TOD.
But just the start:
Plays: The Mousetrap, Sleuth, Witness for the Prosecution

As a time saver I have tried a lot of various tops over thin clothing. This one is impressive.

And the word of the day is: EMPATHY!
That reminds me. Who is "embolism" whose birthday is today on the HHW calendar?
-
You know you're a theater queen or whatever word is appropriate when you read a headline "Meme star's mom threatens lawsuit against Rep. King" and start to think which "Mame" star's mom this could be.
-
But it wouldn't have to be the mom of the person who played Mame. even if had said "Mame star."
-
This was interesting, and I don't see it linked.
David Letterman Reflects on His "Oprah-Uma" Oscars 25 Years Later

-
Was it that that got no "Uma-Oprah" joke (which was based on a joke written by Tom Meehan in an Anne Bancroft TV special) reaction and ruined everything after that?
-
Maybe to work it would have needed the original source of that joke to have been more famous???

Christine Baranski did a reading of it years later.

Okay, now I think I know what a few of you are talking about. The notes page isn't refreshing when your browser hits it. However, you shouldn't have to go into the archives to choose it. Just refreshing the page works for me.

It hasn’t for me.

This is frustrating: neither my December or January payment to my HMO appears to have been received and neither has cleared my bank. I could understand one possibly getting lost or mangled in the US postal system, but two?

I've had no problems at all. So far.
-
I'm up, I'm up - a little over eight hours of sleep.
-
They may be testing things on the site all week, which might account for the issue.
-
Testing Things On The Site is the title of my new sci fi novel.
-
My three sisters (a Chekhov reference) are coming over tonight to watch BYE BYE BIRDIE starring Miss Ann-Margret and Mr Paul Lynde and some others....
I think I will also screen the Alfred Hitchcock Hour episode entitled An Unlocked Window - which only one of them has seen....

I remember reading this years ago. I'm sure that I've never seen the video, nor heard Christine Baranski's version, but I know that I've read this. I think it's still hysterical!

Good afternoon.
-
Elmore, tell Michael to look for a silver-haired old lady wearing a royal blue blouse.
-
Thank you for the reminder, Elmore. I just called to make my 10-year appointment.
-
Back from some matzoh ball soup - very good and helpful.
-
Now I can relax, shave, then be on my way to the theater at five-fifteen or thereabouts.
-
Rehearsal vibes for MR BK & Co.

Hmmm, on my tablet I think the archives were easier-lol. I wouldn't have thought of the archives if I hadn't read to do that.

That makes sense.

Just received from Kritzerland (http://www.kritzerland.com/): THREE CONCERTOS (http://www.kritzerland.com/franz.htm), Arthur Schwartz Revisited (http://www.kritzerland.com/art.htm) and Valmouth (http://www.kritzerland.com/val.htm)! :D

;D Someone who likes cats and posted all of 3 times.
-
What a day.
-
Good evening !
-
Shaved and will mosey on over to the theater in about forty minutes.
-
Have a good evening.
-
Topic of the Day: I just started reading Altered Carbon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009I6MC8/), the first book in the Takeshi Kovacs Series (https://www.amazon.com/gp/bookseries/B00CKCWNWO/).
-
It's a sci-fi murder mystery (at least, the first book).
-
I don't know about the other two books in the series.
-
Here's the synopsis from the Amazon listing:
In the twenty-fifth century, humankind has spread throughout the galaxy, monitored by the watchful eye of the U.N. While divisions in race, religion, and class still exist, advances in technology have redefined life itself. Now, assuming one can afford the expensive procedure, a person's consciousness can be stored in a cortical stack at the base of the brain and easily downloaded into a new body (or "sleeve") making death nothing more than a minor blip on a screen. Ex-U.N. envoy Takeshi Kovacs has been killed before, but his last death was particularly painful. Dispatched one hundred eighty light-years from home, re-sleeved into a body in Bay City (formerly San Francisco, now with a rusted, dilapidated Golden Gate Bridge), Kovacs is thrown into the dark heart of a shady, far-reaching conspiracy that is vicious even by the standards of a society that treats "existence" as something that can be bought and sold. For Kovacs, the shell that blew a hole in his chest was only the beginning. . . .
-
A co-worker told me that it's being (has been?) adapted into a Netflix series.
-
Oh, look! It's Page 3!
-
And now, I must be off.
Be back later.

This was the book cover that almost got me kicked out of my Lutheran grade school.
-
Always loved a Perry Mason whodunnit.
-
And anything by Agatha Christie.
-
I got pickier after that.
-
I read today though that Penguin Classics has released a series of George Simenon mysteries in new translations.
-
They've released about 85. He wrote about 400.
-
Makes Balzac's 95 novels seem a bit tongue-tied in comparison.
-
Simenon wrote the Maigret mysteries.
-
Someone in our library system has bought most of those for our online library.
-
Now, if I only had time.
-
Time is a four-letter word.
-
Time for some proofreading.
-
Good night, all.
-
Bk, I can't find anything on this. I meant to buy "Gone with the Wind" last week. Did I?
-
Someone in our library system has bought most of those for our online library.
Cool.

It sounds like it will be made into a movie or tv series.

;D. I guess it will be.

So, not only did I receive these three lovely CDs today, I also received this DVD set from Amazon.co.uk: The Donmar Trilogy (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07Y4NDZ2J/).
-
Bk, I can't find anything on this. I meant to buy "Gone with the Wind" last week. Did I?
I believe you did.
-
It's Julius Caesar, Henry IV, and The Tempest done by the same company at the Donmar.
-
They are all set in a women's prison, and all of the performers are women.
-
Back from a weird run-through, but all shows have one of those. Some, but not all of our set was up.
-
Page four is most unseemly.
-
This set's version of The Tempest is what John posted about seeing.
-
Then, I mentioned that I had seen Julius Caesar.
-
However, I didn't realize that it was part of a trilogy.
-
I found it on Amazon.co.uk and ordered it.
-
And now, it's here!
-
Good evening.
-
Page four?
-
Really?
-
Hi, George.
-
The misery part of my cold is over. I've got plenty of stuff in my head, but it's manageable.
Oh honey, don’t worry about it. You’ve got nothing in your head!

I believe the stars are Dick Van Dyke and Janet Leigh (I loved her in GONE WITH THE WIND).

I saw Edie Adams in FOLLIES at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle.

We must get off...

this page!

I have run out of things to say tonight.

Well, if the South Park guys can make a whole movie musical about a cannibal, anyone can!

Hey, buddy, we still have nine minutes to go.

Does anyone on this site watch EVIL?

Good morning, all!
-
I am up to finish off this pre-colonoscopy drink. It was bad enough at 6:00 this evening, but now it's really putrid. I have to drink the second half of the solution.
-
See you all after the Big Event!

I thought it was a show about that daredevil guy.

See you all after the Big Event!
Good luck, my friend!

Cannibal: The Musical (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001B187HA/). Duh. ;)

See you all after the Big Event!
Hope everything comes out alright!

I didn’t know that was written by the South Park dudes.
-
Good night.
-
What is this good night malarky?
-
I didn’t know that was written by the South Park dudes.
It was actually written and directed by Trey Parker. Matt Stone was in the movie, but I don't know/think that he had any part of writing that. They both created and write South Park.
-
Good night, Tom.

Notes are posted and posted are notes. I'm listening to Hilding Rosenberg's fourth symphony, which is more like a cantata - really excellent but LONG - seventy-eight minutes. His other symphonies, which I love, are all under forty minutes.
